J.F. lived less than a mile from the nearest grocery store, so the walk to and from was relatively short. Even so, J.F. made sure his walk was as long as possible. He would take indirect routes that would allow him to enjoy his walk. Sometimes it was the only time he left his small apartment, so he made the best of it.
He walked alone, without the comfort of the friends he wished he had by his side. A part of him really didn't care while the other part said otherwise. He had decided to remain unsocial until his indecision was more clear.
It was chilly out, so he wore his black toboggan with his jacket. He walked slowly and quietly, appearing to ignore the world around him, but this was false. Instead he made himself aware of everything he could. It was a dangerous world out there, and most of these people had no clue. There were monsters out here that would attack anyone they thought would be a tasty snack, but not J.F.. Frost was careful, or at least the thought he was.
"Hey mister! Hey!"
He kept his blue eyes in front of him, ignoring the spirit that began calling out to him as he walked around a corner. What could he do for it? Nothing. It made him feel heartless but he felt he wasn't qualified to handle this kind of work.

He had to get out of ther Seiretei. Though he had grown accustomed to the day by day routine he followed, it had to be broken. For someone with O.C.D, this was pretty rare. It was clear that the boredom he had in seiretei was getting to him. He had to break the day by day routine, and this errand was what he needed.
When he arrived to Karakura, it was pretty late. Which was fine with him, the sunlight would of been a bit annoying for him. He opperated much better under the moonlight, plus the weather was much more calming for him. His orders were given, so he followed them. He was suppose to patrol the area and report anything suspicious. But since there wasn't anything suspicious, he simply took a nice stroll on one of the streets, performing konso to the spirits not yet ready to move on. Of course he was the quiet type, so he didn't speak as much as the usual shinigami would, he simply told them that it was alright, and performed the konso.
As he was walking along the pavement, he began to feel the reiatsu of another. It wasn't very strong, actually it was quite weak, weaker than he would of expected. It must of been a spiritually aware human, they were a bit common now a-days. Its kind of odd actually, but not surprising. He was headng in that direction at the time, so he was pretty close to where he was. As he was closing in, he came to a halt at the sight of a soul. "Its alright." he spoke as he took his zanpakuto and performed another konso. After that was over with, he followed the path of the other. Keeping his distance of course, he really didn't feel like chatting. But he knew it was odd of him to be following a random boy, so he decided to speak. Vanishing, he appeared to the right of the boy, pacing along with him. "That soul before, you ignored her eventhough you can see her. Are you trying to deny the fact that you see them?" he questioned out of curiosity.

His pace was slow and steady, so he could hear perfectly that someone else had found her, said something comforting, and the crying and begging stopped. It was chilling for something that was once there to be missing, but he couldn't help but smile a small smile. Someone else could help her where he couldn't. It made his day. J.F. could feel the newcomer's presence, but he didn't know how or what he felt. The feeling was foreign to him, even though this feeling wasn't new. It sent chills down his spine. J.F. could feel the monsters too when they were near, and each time their presence ran him through with fear, but this one was different. It felt... safer to be around so he didn't flinch when the presence appeared beside him.
The man talked to him. The words made him feel bad for not talking to the spirit, bad enough he had to stop. "I couldn't have given her the help she needed... but... even if I did.. it would attract the monsters. I can only fight the weaker ones, but the majority of them are stronger that I am.", he said, holding back a couple of tears. He liked to fight, but when it came to these... monsters he felt a fear like no other. Did this make him a coward? Maybe J.F. was a coward.
"What could I have done?", Frost asked, looking toward the ground. He felt like a child again, being scolded by his peers and parents. He turned and began walking in the same direction he had been walking, and at the same pace. He expected the man to follow him, but hopefully he wouldn't

Looking from the corner of his eye, he turned to face the boy as he spoke. He did seem like the compassionant type, which was surprising, but understandable. Jashin was never one to show his emotions. He was actually believed to be emotionless by those around him. Nevertheless, he kept a straight face while listening to the male's point of view. It seemed the creatures he spoke of was more than likely hollows. They were the only ones who attack without much reason behind it, as well as the ones most attracted to souls and humans spiritually aware.
"The monsters you speak of go by hollows. They are what the souls you see become. At least when they are here on earth to long and not able to find what it is that is needed to set them free. That is why we, shinigami, send them to the Seiretei. There they are able to live life with other souls that have passed on." he explained with a rather lifeless stare to him.
Hearing the boy's next question, he lowered his head a bit and sighed. "Nothing, I guess. But I would suggest you at least speak to them every once and a while, for short moments. The less hostile, aggrivated, or sad they are, the better. As for hollows, I am afraid I can't give you a answer. I've heard that there are some humans who are capable of fighting stronger hollows, but I am not positive on how. For now, I guess your kindness towards the spirits is the best help a person like yourself can give." he answered in the most logical manner he could. He really was just going by what he has studied and read, but was positive this was the right answer.

So the monsters were called "Hollows", and were corrupted spirits. He believed the mysterious man so he listened and took note of what he said. He was a shinigami, and his job was to send this spirits on to the next world. It made sense that there was a grimm reaper like figure to fetch lost souls, but were there more? "So you are like a grimm reaper?" J.F. asked curiously. "And are there more of you?"
"Also, I just don't want to protect them emotionally, mentally. I want to protect them physically. If there are some people that can stand against these hollows, then I want to get stronger." J.F. declared. His pride was hurt by the shinigami's words. His kindness was the best help a person like him can give? As nice as J.F. was, emotions cant shield someone from the blade. It was silly and embarrassing to be hurt by such words, so he dismissed the issue altogether.

He wasn't to familiar with the term Grim Reaper, but it did sound familiar. Taking a moment, he scratch the top part of his head as it quickly came to him. "Ah, the ones that used scythes as a weapon and are made of bones. We are similiar, yes, but we are actually former souls who were sent to Soul Society as well. As for our numbers, there is a large number of us, hundreds actually. We are broken up into thirteen divisions, fourteen if you count Kido Corpes."
Slowing down a bit, he gather his breaths a bit more as he finish. "These divisions are rank from thirteen to one, one being the highest and the division of our head captain. The twelve others are also govern by captains, who are very powerful, compared to myself. I am a third seat, known as the Sergant in the Seiretei. The one rank above me is lieutinent, the vice captain, then there is captain. There are than seats four through ten and unseated officers, who hold know merit and are just up in coming shinigami." Jashin has always been the type to make sure he is well informed on things, such as this, which is why he rambled so much. Taking another breath, he lowered his head while hearing the boys next comment.
"I see, then I can be no help there. I can simply suggest you take classes in hand to hand combat. But I also suggest you keep your distance from hollows. They are a dangerous bunch with little morals. Stay away from them and arrancars, arrancars are even more terrifying. They may appear as humans, but they were once hollows as well, and are much more malicious. he warned. He really didn't want the boy to go on a suicide mission. The best help he can give is to keep his distance and be of some help to the souls.

Former souls, trained to be powerful warriors. The idea of it all appealed to J.F.. If the human soul was capable of being strong, then so could Frost's. They had to be strong, for a force of hundreds catering to a world of billions. The monsters, hollows, must be even more numerous as Frost has seen them before, yet had never even heard of this organizations of reapers known as shinigami. He imagined himself in a similar uniform to this man, but dismissed it. He couldn't imagine himself wearing it, not that there was anything wrong with it.
He noticed his "Companion" had slowed his pace and slowed his own pace to match it. His apartment was near, so he thought he might invite his potential friend over to his living space. He could give him a drink, even if the only things he had were orange juice and water. The principle was nice. "My apartment is just over... there if you want to continue our talk there. If you don't I understand. You must have a lot of responsibility." J.F. offered, pointing toward his apartment some 15 yards away.
He smiled when the Shinigami gave him some advice on how to get stronger and help. He could take some classes. J.F. could also study into these new senses he has been experiencing lately.

Plus there were rumors spreading about Soul Society that humans have begin to aquire spiritual powers. A few have come out to say they've fought against them, one even being a captain. Which is why Jashin did not doubt it. If humans were capable of aquiring such power, they could be a threat. That was why he decided it was best to keep this information hidden from the boy. He wouldn't want him to go in search of this power and end up joining a faction that molds the humans to being threats to shinigami. No, not until he was clear on their motives.
Tuning back into the conversation, his gaze shifted towards the area pointed to by the human. It was a fine place, its structure definitely differed from the confines of the shinigami. From what he has read, the humans were far more advance when it came to things such as this. So when he was given the offer to finish their conversation at his home, he was hesistent. But he was also curious to see what the homes of most human live in today. "Hmm, very well." he agreed to follow the male into his home, motioning for him to lead the way while he followed.

J.F. smiled at the man's response and took off running up the steps that it took to get to his apartment door. There were at least too flights of stairs, and all of the creaked under his weight. Frost didn't think they would last very long. He gave the stairs a maximum survival date of three weeks, not that he was an expert on the subject of stairs. It was something that bugged him, so he gave it a lot of logical thought. He had told the landlord a great many times, but nothing had happened. The old poop wouldn't move to hire a single person to come fix the problem. Things like this happened all the time, and it was all because of his cheapness.
J.F. almost forgot that he had a visitor and shoved the meaningless, or at least for the moment meaningless, subject from his mind. He fumbled between the two keys on his key ring he had and opened the door, allowing his potential friend to come in. His apartment wasn't spectacular, but it was run down either. The place consited of two rooms, the kitchen, the bedroom, and the bathroom. It highly resembled a hotel room in this manner, but he didn't care. It was his home and he cherished it. Some might also say it was his prison as well due to his inactive social life.
"Make yourself at home." He said with a smile on his face as he walked to kitchen. He grabbed a glass and filled it with water before drinking it. When done he released an appetizing "ahh"

Raising his brow for a few seconds, he decided to not question it and simply follow suit. Unlike the boy, Jashin's pace was slower, he didn't feel the need to rush. As he headed up the stairs, he notice the sound it would make every step he made. It was a clear sign that the stairs were at its wits end. He didn't give them long before they become of no use to anyone. It would make axcess into their homes a lot more difficult, unless someone ended up fixing them. He questioned who did these things though, usually a group of shinigami were choosen to fix things in the divisions. Was it the same here? Were residents group up and made to fix the areas needed to be fix? He questioned these things momentarily before making it up the last flight.
Stopping at the door-way, he gave the home a look over before entering inside. It wasn't bad, it wasn't what he expected though. In fact, he didn't know what he was expecting. It seemed a bit better than the living corridors of the Seiretei, the humans had couches and beds. While himself and the other shinigami had to sleep on the floors, which wasn't very comfortable, not for him at least. So when he sat on the male's...couch, as he has heard it been named, he was surprised by how comfortable it was. If only he Seiretei had such things, it would make things a bit better.
"You have a nice home." he complimented as he place his sheathed zanpakuto along the side of the couch. Placing his hands upon his lap, he sat in a respectable manner, choosing to slouch back. "Are most homes in the human world like this or do they differ?" he questioned while looking over to the male.

A nice home... he hadn't thought about his residence as nice but he guessed it was nice compared to other places. He had lived in a hypothetical bubble for so long he didn't really think about things like this. He was in shock for.. a couple of seconds, until he realized that hey, breathing and blinking were good yo. He blinked and opened a cabinet and pulled out another glass. "Thanks. Would you like a drink Mr.?", he asked, setting the glass. If he said yes, J.F. would fix him a glass of water.
Either way he sat down be beside him with glass(es) in hand, and perhaps gave him one. He about sat down, but he saw that the man's sword was taking up the rest of the couch. He decided to pull out a foldable chair next to the couch and sat in it. "They differ. Generally, the poorer one is, the worse of a house they have if they have any. There are a lot of homeless people out there.", Replied J.F. as he took off his toboggan and shook his hair out of its matted state.
"I Don't think I ever got your name. My name is Jacob Frost." He said with a bow of his head , and at the same time, sliding his toboggan into his jacket pocket.

He questioned if the male was alright, he wasn't responsive for a couple of seconds. Looking around the room for a moment, he turned back to themale once he finally spoke. He was grabbing glasses, something he had never used before. Usually the cups in soul society were made of wood. So it was interesting, to say the least. "Yes, water will be fine." he commented as the male brought him a glass of water. Taking a drink, he thought the water was not bad, it was different from the water in seiretei. Setting it onto the table, he watch as the male pulled out another sitting mechanism.
hearing a answer to his earlier question, he was surprised by how simliar to Soul Society and here. It was true that the people that lack funds lived in the rukongai district. He himself lived there and was also homeless like the ones the man spoke of. Raising his right brow, he watch as the male introduce himself. "It is nice to meet you, Jacob Frost. My name is Jashin Hakudoshi." he introduce himself in a formal manner. It was hard for him to not be formal whenever he spoke.

"Jashin Hakudoshi..." , said J.F. committing the name to memory. It wasn't common for J.F. to have any visitors, let alone friends. "..Well its a pleasure to meet you as well he finished with a smile. He took a drink from his cup and set on the table in front of him.
"Well, Mr. Hakudoshi, do you have a place to stay during your time here in the World of the Living? If not, you can stay here if you want." Offered J.F. as he took an extra sip from his glass only to find that he had drank his already. 'darn', he thought, getting up to put the glass away. He would come back and sit down when he was finished. "What is it like in the Soul Society?", he asked in curiosity.

The electronic devices were interesting, he could tell by their structure that they was electronic. The thing with the screen must of been a television, he has heard of it before, from those who have lived here for a short while. He himself has never seen it before, so he didn't know if he was correct or not. Placing the glass back down, he turn his gaze back to the human as he waited for a response.
Hearing one, it turned out to be a offer to stay in his home. Widening his eyes for a short few seconds before returning his facial expression back to normal. "Hmm, thank you for the offer, but I am only here for a scouting mission. Once I am finish I must return back to Soul Society." he responded as he didn't expect the offer. From what he notice, the male may not have a large number of friends. Its not as if he was in the right to judge or anything, he lack friends as well, but mostly by choice. Jashin was a introvert, so his focus is mainly on his work, which gives him no time to communicate or spend much time with. But it was nice to talk to someone right now, it was just odd, slightly.
Hearing a question, he paused for a moment as he wanted to explain it the correct way. "Soul Society? Well, its not advance as your world, I mean, it doesn't have many electronical devices. Its rather large, mainly the rukongai district though. We shinigami are located in the Seiretei, a spiritual dome surrounds us, to keep us protected from any hollow attacks. Shinigami are group up in different divisions, all with different purposes. Our job is to protect the spirits in rukongai, the spirits in the human world, and the humans involved with an attacks from siritual beings. Its all rather complicated actually, and a lot would have to be explained. So I won't go into full detail." he answered as his gaze look to his glass on the table. He reallyy didn't know very much. just the typical detail and the things that deal with his squad.

Jacob Frost frowned at his declination. Even though the excuse was true, and Jacob knew it was true, he was slightly hurt. To him, everyone was always busy. busybusybusy. Jacob didn't want too intrude in anyone's business, so he excluded himself to his own. This home was his own prison, and he desperately wanted any form of escape, or at least someone to share his "Cell" with. He had too much time on his hands, and lately he had run out of things to keep himself occupied.
However, Jashin did answer his question, and for this he was glad. In his mind, a large spanning city came to mind. Not a modern city, but a simpler, circular one. He assumed the Seretei or rather those within it were well off, so he pictured more elaborate buildings stretching out toward the ends of the city, becoming more run down and less elaborate as the city reaches its edge. He assumed the... "Military" had its base in the center of the city. It was amazing that there was a whole other world that he didn't have access to. He would like to visit it one day, alive rather than dead.
"Its none of my business, but.. what are you scouting for here?" He asked, rubbing his temple as a headache formed within his head. It wasn't bad now but he hoped it didn't get any worse.
