Do you have a Light? Can you make me feel Alright? Plenty of Light to go Around
It had been a week since the Espada invaded the Soul Society, and since Rai was knocked unconscious and pushed to the edge of death by a power ginger. He was stuck in his room, his breathing back to normal, but his energy levels still dangerously low. For some reason they hardly replenished themselves, and left the Espada in a very weakened state, his body still in near pieces from the extent that he was forced to push himself to. The only thing that really showed that Rai was still alive was his feint breathing, and the very small reitsu signature he radiated.
During this time, all that was going on in Rai's mind in his comma like state was the battle he had just fought. It replayed over and over, with the tug of war that he shared with the ginger fag, and how he ultimately lost. That, and at the last moments of consciousness, he saw long, messy blonde hair, and the lanky body that he was so used to. Something about that comforted him, even if he was dead right now. But then it started all over again, reliving his defeat.
Rai awoke, sitting up rapidly. This was followed by a yell of pain as his arms moved to cradle his rib cage, the pain getting to him. He held this position, panting heavily as sweat dripped from his forehead. The pain was near unbearable. He gave up after another minute, laying back down. That's when Rai noticed exactly how much more cluttered his chamber. Not just cluttered, but full of random things with scribbles and other things on them. He couldn't help but smile at the gifts, guessing that most if not all of them came from one person, and one person only.
He tried to move his head around, causing a jolt of pain to be sent up down his spine. He gasped for air and bit his bottom lip, trying to cope with the amount of pain. He started panting again, before giving up and simply looking straight ahead of him. He sighed softly, hating exactly how disabled he was. He could only be disappointed in himself though. Especially after losing. A part of him honestly didn't want to see Rou right now. He was too embarrassed for it. Sure, every other part of him didn't want to see anyone more than he wanted to see her, but he couldn't shake the fact that she simply saved his life. That, she really was the hero and he was just a lowly sidekick, or even a princess. He sighed again, before hearing the light sound of footsteps. He gazed towards the door, already guessing who it was. At least, he hoped it was her. He tried to sit up again before she entered, managing it with an expression of pain on his face.

The Tears of the Sky Words: ### || Tags: blah name || Notes: words A Light Shining Brightly She wasn't sure how many trips she had been making from her room to the sands in the past week. Things were in a messed up chaos. Keeping track of anything seemed impossible. Her queen had been killed. Julius had been a wreck and barely reachable. Collie had gone off somewhere a few days prior. Also, Rai hadn't woken up since she brought him back to Las Noches after saving him. Not only was she busy taking care of him, carving out several spells into wood, stone, the walls and the floor, but she was also a bit preoccupied with being the highest ranked able to actually pull anything off at this point. She had always been worried about invaders. This topped the charts of her paranoia though. They were weakened right now, and Hueco Mundo was a dangerous place. She hadn't slept in days, busying herself with patrols, dragging her fraccion with her.
At the same time she spent at least half of her day in Rai's room, watching over him, waiting for him to wake up. After the first couple of days was when she started to create charms for him. Within the remainder of the week she had made at least one hundred, hoping they would work and help the injured man. When she found him he had been in pretty bad shape. She didn't think it was so serious though. He wasn't getting better at all it seemed. She wouldn't accept that though. After checking up on him once that day, Rou went out into the desert once again, out to find whatever she could.
She returned a few hours later, the perfect thing in hand. She had found a small snake, which was really just a tiny hollow in reality. It was dark in color with diamonds across its back. She was sure it was good luck. As soon as she caught it she raced back, planning to put it in Rai's room and take good care of it. The small reptile would offer up a lot of luck.
Rou came spinning into the room, dancing with the snake. She seemed to really be enjoying herself, that or she was just the delusional at that point. As she completed a turn into the room, her eyes went over Rai's bed. That was when she noticed he was sitting up, looking right at her. She didn't even notice the pain on his face though, too taken aback by the fact that he was actually awake. She tossed the snake to the side toward a pile of her charms. She didn't even care to see if it was okay or trying to get away. Rou launched herself from where she stood, flying at the man with her arms spread right open. It didn't occur to her to be gentle. Instead she landed on the bed harshly, throwing herself at her fellow espada, aiming to trap him in a tight hug despite his injuries. She had forgotten about them anyway.
"Neh, Rai is all better right?" she looked up to his face, a sweet smile on her own. It wasn't that dumb smile she usually got when she was happy over something trivial. She seemed really relieved at that moment. Rou placed her head on his shoulder, relaxing more than she had that entire week. "Oiiiiii. I was worried you know. You were sleeping foreverrrrrrr" she whined, her voice muffled by her hair and his body. She may have been whining, but out of sight, under the cover of her hair, she was still smiling, unable to stop. She wasn't lying. In fact, worried was an understatement.
