[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,10,true] [atrb=style,width:400px,bTable] | every thing's gonna crash and break I can't believe it happened again, Jace thought, looking down at the ground with narrowed eyes as he walked. He had been sent after a low-level Hollow. Being the dutiful (lol) guy that he was, the Proxy had taken off in pursuit. And just like the night before, someone got to it before he did. He even felt the creature's Reiatsu blink out. He really wanted to find the people who kept doing that and give them a piece of his mind. Him rushing to get to the designated area, and then someone else swooping in and taking the kill, making it all for naught. It was like they were doing it on purpose! Yeah, blame someone else for your own slowness. He had to roll his eyes at that thought.
Still irritable about earlier, Jace hadn't been paying much attention to his surroundings. When he finally did look up, he saw someone surprisingly familiar. Michiko? For some reason, she always dressed like a dude. That somehow made her stand out even more. She didn't seem to notice him quite yet. That was good.
"Hey, midget," he said with a smirk just as Michiko was about to pass him. Just in case she lashed out at him for commenting on her height, the Proxy was on-guard, though he didn't look that way at all. In all honestly, he was surprised she was in a place like this. As far as he knew, she wasn't like him. She couldn't see them. Karakura was a dangerous place for people like that.

Feeling something fly past her, a young female stopped walking and took a quick glance around. Seeing nothing, she gently rubbed her forehead letting out a small breath of air. I think i am going crazy Michiko thought. Before moving, she took another quick glance around the area before heading down the street.
It was only a few moments later that she heard a familiar voice that belonged to Jace. She knew he was talking to her, not only because she was the only one around but he often teased her about her height. Which of course, ticked her off.
Her eye twitched slightly as she clinched her fist into a tight ball. "I AM NOT A MIDGET!" Michiko shouted. Turning around quickly as she raised her fist up in rage. It only took a few seconds before her fist went flying towards Jace, in attempt to punch him in the face. She wasn't aiming to punch him hard, just enough that he would feel it for awhile.
It was only then that she realized something. Every-time she took a walk threw this area at night, she was always alone. There was never anyone out her this night. What could he possibly be doing, in this area Michiko thought as she was starting to question his intentions for being in such a area at night.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,10,true] [atrb=style,width:400px,bTable] | every thing's gonna crash and break Jace snickered when he heard Michiko yelling behind him. She was spazzing, so he knew what to expect. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw something flying towards his face. He simply tilted his head to the side and let the fist fly past. "Mhm, chill out," he said as he turned toward Michiko with a good-natured smirk that said he was only joking around. Though, she was pretty short. No one could argue that. He would drop it, though. He didn't want to take it too far and actually upset her.
Hoping that she wouldn't try to punch him again, Jace changed the subject rather abruptly. "What are you even doing out here so late?" he asked. He wasn't trying to be invasive, but this was just weird. As far as the Proxy could tell, this town was a war zone. Everywhere he went, someone or something tried to kill him. It was ridiculous. But he was almost used to it by now. Almost.
And then another thing occurred to him. Reiatsu supposedly attracted Hollows. He had Reiatsu. See the connection? That pessimistic inner voice did nothing but put the Proxy on edge. He really didn't want to have to fight in front of Michiko again. That would undoubtedly raise the subject that he was not supposed to talk about. "You should go home," he said seriously. He almost felt bad saying that, but all he was really doing was trying to keep her from getting in trouble.

The moment her fist went past Jace's head, she stopped herself from following through with the punch. Only to prevent her self from losing her balance and looking like a fool. "Just because I am shorter then you, doesn't mean I am a midget." she shot him a small glare as she spoke. Michiko knew he was joking around with her but her height was something she takes lightly. "You know my real name so why don't you use it?" Michiko asked. Slightly frustrated that he rarely uses her first name since they meet.
"I should be asking you the same?" she asked with a small smirk. Michiko really knew very little about Jace and still put into question what he does. Even with that, she felt like she could trust him. "If you must know, I am out for a simple walk." What she said was not a lie but not the full truth ether.
When he told her to go home, that was something she wasn't going to do. "Why should I?" She asked curious in why he was telling her to go home. I know he's just trying to keep me from trouble but what is he trying to keep me fromMichiko thought. She turned around and took a few steps forward. "It's not like it's dangerous around here" Michiko herself did not even fully believe in her own words. With a small sigh, she took her left hand and brushed her bangs to the side Should I really go home? she thought to herself for a moment before shaking her head.
Turning around, Michiko crossed her arms as she spoke to Jace "I am not going to go home and you can't make me" she stuck her tongue out at him before turning back around. Her gaze went down the street as she felt like something was watching them but thought maybe she was just imagining it like always.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,10,true] [atrb=style,width:400px,bTable] | every thing's gonna crash and break "I don't like using names. It's weird," Jace replied, looking away for a second. A lot of people would probably find that odd. But he didn't care too much. He narrowed his eyes a bit when his question was shot back at him. Like he had to justify himself. He was a guy; no one cared if guys walked around late at night. It was the girls who were rape targets. But maybe he shouldn't have asked such a question right off the bat.
The way Michiko said 'simple walk' seemed a tad too defensive for it to really be simple. Even her mannerisms radiated this defensiveness. But who was he to question it? He barely knew this girl. If she was doing something odd, that was her problem. He wasn't going to delve into her business, even if he did like knowing things. But when it came to people around Jace being attacked because of his presence, that was his business.
"You'd be surprised," he said with an edge to his tone. Michiko lived here and yet she still didn't know of the supernatural phenomena? Surely, she would have witnessed something by now. People around here sure are oblivious. He would have thought that some of it was painfully obvious, even without the ability to see spirits.
Jace only glared when Michiko declared she wouldn't go, and stuck her tongue out at him to boot. "What're you, five?" he growled, annoyed. That was what he got for trying to help someone.

| "Your the one who is weird." Michiko spoke in a quiet tone, mostly to herself. Her eyes remained on the same spot before she let out a soft sigh. Too many things have been putting her on edge lately. Unmoving, Michiko stared down the street, unsure what her next move should be. I don't trust this feeling I am getting. Something also happens when I get this feeling. She thought. Since that night she saw Jace, every time she "felt" something go past her, she would put it into question if it really was something there.
There was a moment of silence from her before she turned around once. Facing towards the young male now, there was a small sigh before she let out a small sigh. "I am not five you know." Michiko didn't throw in a insult like she always does. Instead she clenched her fist tightly as she started speaking once more. "If it's so dangerous, then maybe you should walk with me" Her green eyes held a gaze on Jace as she spoke in a serious tone. Why did I even ask that? He will probably wouldn't want to bother anyways. Michiko thought. Michiko's eyes drifted off to the side as she rather not have to admit to the real reason why she asked him to walk with her.
"But if you have something else to do at the moment, don't worry about it" She glanced back at Jace with a small smile. It wasn't like she was forcing him to follow along with her. If there really was something there, Michiko figured she was more then capable of taking it down herself. "It's not like something is going to come out and try to kill me" Michiko spoke with a small laughter behind her tone. Even though she didn't believe fully in her own words she just spoke. This town was so strange to start off, that anything could really happen around here.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,10,true] [atrb=style,width:400px,bTable] | every thing's gonna crash and break Even though she had spoken quietly, Jace heard Michiko when she called him weird. "Whatever," he responded, rolling his eyes. People called him weird way too much.
After that, Michiko had stared down the street for no apparent reason. When he noticed this, Jace looked around, wondering if there was something odd happening close by. From what he could tell, there wasn't. He was about to ask if there was something wrong, when she finally responded to his earlier jab, letting him know that she wasn't actually five. Because that wasn't already obvious. That was kinda late...
"Huh?" Jace did a double take. Michiko wanted him to walk with her, even though she had been so defensive earlier? Honestly, he thought he had only been annoying her. He didn't have anything else he was supposed to be doing, and even if he did, he probably wouldn't bother with it now. Plus, he was kind of inclined to walk her back after her last comment.
"Of course I'll walk you back. I kind of have to after you say something like that," Jace said, smirking again. He was going the same way, so it worked out perfectly. Despite his warnings, he didn't think anything was actually going to attack them. He took a couple steps ahead, and then looked back at Michiko. "You coming?

| Michiko was actually very glad that Jace had decided to walk with her but all she showed was a small smile as he walked ahead of her. "Yup" She called towards him in a slight cheerful tone. A tone that even caught her slightly surprised but at the moment she was in a weird but the haunting feeling of danger lingered over her mind at the same time. While taking a few steps towards Jace, she parted her lips as she was going to ask him about her feeling movement around her but never actually seeing anything. "This is going to sound weird but I wanted to ask your opinion on something." She took a deep breath and let it out slowly "Lately I have been feeling strange movement around me but I never actually see anything. It's hard to describe but it feels like a gust of wind but at the same time it doesn't feel like any kind of normal wind. Would you happen to know anything about this?" She asked him fully prepared for him to come back with some kind of sly remark that she was insane or something along those lines. Her eyes lingered on him as the walked along the quiet street. That was quiet before a loud screeching noise rang through the entire area they were in.
The sound caused Michiko to look around as the lingering feeling she had before started to send more chills down her spine. Unintentionally she moved slightly closer towards Jace as her eys moved right ahead of them. Of course to those who can't see the nonliving there was nothing before them but actually there was something there, slowly emerging from the shadows and moving towards the pair. The first time in a long time fear had actually moved through her veins but that wasn't going t stop her from checking things out. A small laugh came from her as she realized she had moved closer to Jace. "Ha that was probably just some kids playing tricks." the moment she said that a large tree came flying towards the pair. Moving with out thinking she jumped back away from Jace to avoid the tree. She had just barley managed to avoid the tree but as her feet landed on the ground, she tripped and fell on her butt. "Ouch" She spoke in a quiet tone towards herself before jumping back up on to your feet. "Are you okay Jace?" She called out to him as dirt filled the air from the tree landing between the two.
Her eyes moved back towards the spot where the tree had came flying from as she curiosity grew to see what could throw a tree that large. Not waiting to see if Jace was alright she started to move towards the area the tree had come from. Knowing what ever threw that wasn't human, she pulled her silver dagger out from under boots a whipped it with great force towards the darkness hoping that what ever was there would get hit and would leave. Her eyes filled with hope as she didn't see any more movement but the next thing she knew something very hard had hit her with huge force. The next thing Michiko knew, she was sent flying backwards towards where Jace was last standing. Her whole body was covered in shock as she had no clue what had just hit her as pain filled her whole body.
The very source of the power belonged to something that wasn't from the human world. That very thing was a hollow, low class but still pretty strong. The hollow seemed pretty pissed off due to the fact there was now a silver dagger sticking out, just slightly under its bone like mask. It had no intentions of going after Jace as it made a quick movement to follow after Michiko who was sent flying through the air. It's long thick arms reached out towards the young girl in attempt to grab her into a tight grip.

Michiko seemed oddly happy for someone who had previously been trying to punch him. Maybe what he said had actually scared her and she was happy that she didn't have to walk alone. That made Jace feel a little bad. He really needed to stop saying things without thinking. Scaring people probably wouldn't them help too much, after all. Then again, that probably wasn't even the case. He hadn't said anything that wasn't already painfully obvious. At least, he didn't think he had. Jace gave Michiko a questioning glance when she opened her mouth as if to speak. He didn't expect there to be much talking on this walk; they were both pretty quiet. "Okay," he said, waiting for her to say whatever it was she wanted to ask. He really had no idea what to expect. Why would anyone want his opinion on anything? Jace only blinked in confusion after she explained herself. He didn't know how to respond without basically saying 'I told you so', and that would have been a real dick move, especially considering that she had enough trust in him to tell him this despite only having known him for little over a month. But he had to say something. "I--" A harsh screeching sound cut him off. What in the... And then Jace felt it. A cold, predatory feeling. He instantly whipped around, looking for the source with wide eyes. You've gotta be shittin' me. This was not happening. Not a Hollow, not now. He heard what Michiko had said, but didn't register it. He was on full-alert, senses reaching out to pinpoint the invasive presence. "Get down!" he snapped, looking back at Michiko for a second. That second was just enough for him to miss the flying tree. Startled, Jace shuddered violently when the tree rammed into the ground right beside him. Before he could react, one of the topmost branches clipped his shoulder, sending him to the ground as more branches filled the air above where he had been standing. For a second, he thought that the tree had landed on him because it was so dark. But other than a few scratches on his arms, there wasn't any pain. The branches had formed a carapace above him which also prevented the rest of the tree from rolling on top of him. "Holy fuck." That was way too close for comfort. But he wasn't the only person here. He heard Michiko call for him before there was another burst of twisted Reiatsu. Oh shit. Maybe the Hollow was going after her. Why it would pick her and not Jace with his much, much higher Reiatsu was a mystery to him. Then again, it had probably thought to kill him with the tree. That thing was going to regret having shitty aim in about three seconds. Jace needed only to touch one of the brass knuckles in his pocket before a thin, silver liquid spread over both of his hands. Two flicks of solid steel shot through the branches before the protective and restraining barrier of tree branches was cut away. The rest of the tree started to roll, But Jace had already gotten to his feet. He jumped up onto the tree, dragging both hands through the air in the process. Two more crescent-shaped blades formed, hanging in the air on either side of him. From his vantage point, Jace saw Michiko get hit by something. Instantly, he became even more pissed off than he already had been. That piece of shit was going after a defenseless girl even when there was an actual opponent right under its nose. As the Hollow emerged from its hiding place, Jace drew his right hand up, an uncharacteristically cold expression in his eyes. Just as the Hollow reached for Michiko, he swiped his hand down through the air, sending one of the silver blades for its arms. The blade slashed both of the Hollow's arms right off and kept travelling until it hit the ground some feet away, making a long gouge in the earth. Jace then dropped down from the tree as two more blades formed in the air around him, looking to Michiko who had landed on the ground. "Are you all right?" He rushed over to grab her hand and help her up, keeping his three blades lined up with the Hollow's position in case it felt like attacking while he was distracted. He already had this in the bag. What could the Hollow do without its arms? Bite him? Not exactly a good idea when Jace could just send the rest of his blades through its face.

A sound similar to that of nails on a chalk board could be heard as the Jace's blades sliced through the hollow's body. Easily separating the arms from the hollow's body. It was as if the hollow was stunned as it made no further movement against the pair for the time being. it just stood there staring at them as its arms laid on the ground. Though what couldn't be seen at the moment is those very arms were starting to move and change shape.
Fearing things she can not see, her eyes filled with fear as she landed onto the ground. Michiko's eyes were focused on the blank space that was ahead of her as she felt cold eyes staring at her. It took her a moment to respond to Jace as he reached his out his hand to her. The fear in her eyes faded as her eyes shifted on to Jace. "I am okay....." Her mind was still catching up as she used Jace's help to get up onto her feet. Once she was standing up next to Jace, she felt a surge of pain come from her side. Looking down towards her side she saw blood had started to soak through her shirt. Not wanting Jace to worry about her even more, Michiko moved her hand slowly to her side to cover up the blood and to help stop the pain from hurting more then what it already was. Adjusting her glance back towards Jace, she slowly started to speak. "It's still there isn't it?" Michiko asked. Her eyes never once moved from Jace as she waited for his answer.
While Jace was helping Michiko, the arms that had been cut off by Jace had finally transformed. Were the arms had been laying were now two hollows of the same size and class. Still holding Jace's hand, Michiko gripped his hand extremely hard as she felt the one had now become three. "There's more" She said quietly towards Jace. At this point she didn't know what to do. She already felt useless as it was because she couldn't really see what was going on. That is when she noticed her dagger was floating in mid-air from the first hollow she attempted to attack. Releasing Jace's hand front her tight grip she had it in. "Perfect" her personality went through a quick change as she pulled out a katana that had been hidden in her clothing.
"I can help you now" speaking cheerfully as she turned with a smile towards Jace. Forgetting about the fact her side was bleeding quite a bit now, she had moved her hand away from her side which showed the blood seeping through her shirt. Not waiting to see what Jace was going to say, Michiko unsheathed her katana and suddenly dashed forward ignoring the pain the best she could. Being guided only by the silver dagger which stuck out of the side of the hollow she dashed towards it quickly not wanting to wait and see what happens. "I can do this" she thought to herself. Approaching the hollow she pushed off the ground and lunged towards the hollow. The hollow not expecting the girl to attack it got the full attack which wasn't that powerful considering she was human but was enough to knock it over from the sheer force Michiko had put behind the blade. Seeing that the knife fell back made her smile as she felt accomplished. That feeling quickly left as she felt something looming over her.
The two hollows watched the young girl attack the other hollow but quickly acted as she knocked it down. Splitting up, one went to deal with Michiko while the other went to deal with the Jace. moving quickly towards Jace, the hollow cracked open its large mouth and let out a high pitch sound. the sound traveled towards Jace in the form of a powerful blast of wind that would surly knock him back if he didn't react in time to the hollow's attack. In the mean time the other hollow had approached Michiko from behind. Moving rather slowly the hollow raised it's hand up and slammed it down towards Michiko with great force. Unknowing what was happening around her, she instantly raised her sword up above her head defensively. As the hollow hand slammed down on her blade, it felt like a car was dropping onto her blade as she tired to keep it up away from her. The sheer force of it alone caused a small crater to form around the two. With the force pressing down on her blade her side started to bleed more and pain raised to a point that her knees bucked. Michiko fell to knees but kept the blade up trying to keep herself from being crushed by what ever force was trying to crush her into the ground.
