Thurstan Trascis threw himself into the hollow bringing his sword clean through its body in one fell swoop. He cleanly slid his zanpakuto back into her sheath and sighed rather loudly. Some moron quincy had decided to break a few too many hollow bait pills around the city today. It was such a drag. He’d spent practically all morning moving from hollow to hollow. It got to the point where he’d had to take on several at once. It wasn’t an issue for the captain-level visored, but that didn’t mean he was having fun.
He turned to walk away, still hovering in the air. His hands felt their way to his jacket pockets and he even allowed himself to slouch a bit. What he really wanted to know was: Where the hell were all the Shinigami that kept watch over this place? Where was Ichigo? Why was he the only one doing anything today. This was the exact reason he never liked coming here. Everyone else was always busy with something seemingly more important. This would all have been more fun if he at least had somebody to fight with.
“You know you could always just use Bankai?” a voice sounded from his right. He kept walking as the materialization of Shironaito kept pace.
“You know that I can’t afford to waste my energy. What if something actually threatening shows up and we’re both too tired to fight it because I spent all of my energy keeping you out here?”
“Oh, c’mon, Tracy, don’t think you can keep me interested long enough for you to finish?” she teased.
A smile appeared on Thurstan’s face and he actually started to laugh. He turned towards her. “Hey, you’re pretty great, you know that, Shiro?”
“Yeah, I do.” Shironaito replied with a wink, “Hey, I’m gonna go keep Kuro entertained, if you want to join us, you know where we’ll be.” With that, Shironaito shimmered out of existence, but her voice trailed on. “See yah later, Tracy.”
He smiled and looked at the ground far below mumbling quietly, “You really gotta stop calling me that.”
In an instant, he’d picked up another hollow signature. No, there were three. Without a second thought or hesitation, a single flash step launched him in that direction.

Three hollows? Obviously someone wasn’t doing their job correctly. Soon-ja took a second to shunpo back and forth a few times, move only a meter or so and stopping only briefly to check the direction and strength of reiryoku patterns. It was a self-improvised tracking method similar to triangulation, giving her a good idea of the other spiritual being in the area along with their approximate distance. There was definitely someone cleaning up hollows a fair bit away, but whoever it was seemed occupied at the moment by at least one hollow. There was no telling for how long, however, and the three hollows before her would undoubtedly attract their attention. It just meant she’d have to finish quickly.
Judging from their reiatsu alone, the stubby one was the weakest and the thin one was the strongest. But the large one apparently had the most initiative, charging towards Soon-ja’s position. She shunpo’d past the lumbering monstrosity, landing directing in front of stubby hollow. The creature’s glowing yellow eyes showed no intelligence, nor even recognition of its current predicament, through its nondescript mask. It was just another hollow. She placed her index and middle finger between the hollow’s eyes, focusing her reiryoku. One down. “Hadō No. 15: Shageki” The invisible bullet ripped a hole through the hollow, slicing cleanly through mask and flesh alike, as the report echoed in Soon-ja’s ears. The weakest ones went first; it was her policy to even out a fight whenever possible.
The big hollow rotated as its brethren disintegrated into the air, swinging one of its hammer-like arms towards the Visored. She deftly ducked under the clunky attack, cringing as the strike connected with the pavement behind her. She had no real way of fixing property damage, an unfortunate truth about working independently. Still, she’d take the sidewalk being pummeled over her face any day. The click of her Zanpakuto was the only warning the hollow received before its right leg was separated from its body. The creature didn’t even have time to react to the sudden dismemberment as Soon-ja reversed her swing, cleanly bisecting the hollow’s mask. Two down.
During her brief scuffle with her previous two opponents, the third hollow had managed to somehow disappear. She could still feel its presence, but she couldn’t pinpoint a direction or location. She quickly glanced around the area, hoping to spot something. Out of the corner of her eye, Soon-ja watched the thin hollow’s spindly arm streaking towards her, the creature itself crawling from a pocket of space rent open behind her. That was a new one. Turning to face her final attacker, Soon-ja brought up her Zanpakuto. Her block connected solidly with the hollow’s attack, starting with the butterflying of the creature’s arm from palm to shoulder and ending with its decapitation. Three down.
As the final hollow dissipated on the wind, Soon-ja sheathed her Zanpakuto and returned it to its covering. As far as fights went, that one could’ve gone better. She was about one slab of cracked pavement over what would’ve been perfect; that was ignoring, of course, the small indent in a distant tree from her kidō. She once again flicked back and forth, ensuring nobody was nearby. Except someone was there. And, based on the acute angles, they were extreme close.

"Argh....I am seriously sick of this shit man. I get sent out here, told to investigate, and prepare for possible battle points. Make the rookies do it, not me!" The frustration was clear in the young shinigami's voice as he publicly voiced his intense hatred for being sent here. The last time he had been sent to the human world, he was forced into a battle with a quincy, and had to waste an hour just showing him the difference between a captain, and a damn seated officer. Jin trucked along slowly, his eyes were closed and his head was down. Why did he ever take the position in the first place. You and I both know you wouldn't take orders from anyone else you damn fool.
Jin laughed to himself for a moment, his hands entering his jacket pocket as he lifted his head. You're right Zetsumei. And I get to relax half the time, chill out, and talk to some cuties here in the human world. Jin spoke internally to his zanpakuto spirit; the zombie like dog was his other half, and a good friend. Luckily for Jin, he didn't need to wear his captain uniform while scouting out the human world, not to mention he didn't want to bring too much attention to himself; there were plenty of people that wanted him dead, or at least wanted to fight him. He shrugged, straightened out his jeans, and looked forward. The day wasn't so bad.
Then, for a moment he noticed something amiss within Karakura. He felt something, was that...Is that another shinigami? No, the reiatsu given off was off. It wasn't just a shinigami. They were vizard, and they were in two difference spots. He recognized the one. It was Tracy and he was fighting some hollow. But who was the other one? Another vizard? He arched a brow, his right hand softly touching the the hilt to his blade before he made the decision to follow the mystery signature. He knew that if he let off his reiatsu, at least a little, Tracy would follow suit and find him.
Shunpoing off into the distance, he needed to catch up to the other person. Jin was very skilled in shunpo, and was able to clear large distances in a single leap; So logically finding, and catching this person wouldn't be a problem. Then, as he grew closer, and closer to his destination, he started to let his reiatsu leak out every so faintly; just enough to get the other mans attention. He should have at least felt this other vizards presence. Three....two....one.... "Gotcha..." Jin said as he shunpoed in front of the other person, giving them roughly around fifteen feet to see him, and stop. While it wasn't surprising to have not known this person, the fact that they were a girl; and a rather attractive one, certainly made Jin open his eyes in amusement. "Pleasure, the names Jin... He said with his finger tapping his chin, his brow arched, and a curious grin spreading across his features. "Color me curious, but I don't think we've met."

Thurstan’s flash step was descent at best without his Bankai. It wasn’t bad, but he could never keep up with Jin. Jin. Why was he suddenly thinking about Jin? He noticed the slight hint of the man’s reiatsu. What the hell was a Captain doing here? It didn’t really matter. Maybe they’d be able to grab a drink before the jerkoff had to go back. He slowed down as he neared the place where he’d felt the hollow just a moment ago because it seemed that someone else had beat him to it.
His foot landed lightly on a rooftop before kicking off again to the next and the next. He came to stop a few blocks away from the new reiatsu. Another visored. Hmm. They were hiding it fairly well, almost masterfully. That was likely the reason he hadn’t noticed it until now. Well, the hollows had been dealt with, at least here. Thurstan had no particular reason to keep going this direction. He reached back and scratched his head. “Ah…I might as well say ‘hey’ to Jin.”
He didn’t bother to shunpo any longer. If Jin got to the other visored before he did, it’s not like he’d let them get away very easily. At least, Trace hoped not. It’d be a pain to hunt down someone so adept at hiding.
As he walked through the street, he noticed the cars passing by. A few were descent, one was absolutely gorgeous, but most were rather dull. He’d rather watch grass grow than look at those wheeled piles of scrap. In fact, he decided to take a side alley between the buildings so that he didn’t have to. He could still hear them though, and their damned annoying engines. So unnecessarily loud.
Thurstan passed a homeless man rummaging through a trashcan and wished only that he could have helped him. It was a shame, really, that he couldn’t help everyone. He was always in a gigai whenever it was inconvenient and not at times like this when some physical money or kindness would have been nice. He just kept walking, keeping his eyes on the man until Trace had turned the corner and found himself in an empty lot listening to a familiar voice.
“Pleasure, the names Jin…Color me curious, but I don’t think we’ve met.” Thurstan looked at the girl across from his friend. She was attractive, but her clothes made her look rather innocent. Nonetheless, she’d just taken out three hollows, so she must have been something at least. Trace just smiled and shouted to Jin as he closed in on them, “We haven’t met? Don’t tell me you were that drunk, Jin.”
A great smile appeared on his face as he came to distance with them. He stood only a few feet from the girl, but kept a good fifteen from Jin. He then released his reiatsu in the most calming way possible, altering the wavelengths and levels to make it feel like a father’s warm embrace.

It turns out close was a bit of an understatement. A young silver-haired man appeared in front of Soon-ja, not five meters away. He was obviously a Shinigami - his use of shunpo and continual release of reiatsu told her that much – but his exact rank, role, and affiliation were unknown. While the lack of uniform suggested he wasn’t with the Soul Society, it was easy enough to change clothes.
Her first reaction was flight. As much as she loathed to admit it, this wasn’t the first time she’d encountered Shinigami in past few centuries. It would’ve taken ridiculous luck or obscene skill to completely avoid contact. In her past encounters, it had always been easy enough to escape, generally through raw speed. She was reasonably fast, especially compared to your average Shinigami. Still, something told her that her current predicament was a little different. The young man before her moved differently; more confidently. There was no guarantee she could outrun the Shinigami, nor was she willing to provoke him into violent action by fleeing. No, running wasn’t the best option.
Her second thought was fighting. While she was fairly confident in her own strength, there was no way attacking another Shinigami would improve her standing with the Soul Society. For all she knew, the Gotei 13 had long since buried her case. It was actually a very real possibility they thought she was dead, never looking into the matter in the first place. Given the situation, bakudō seemed like the best solution. Rikujōkōrō was a good choice; it was fairly reliable and difficult to dodge. It would buy her precious time to escape unless her opponent was absurdly powerful and it wasn’t remotely harmful. Maybe a bit uncomfortable. She mentally prepared herself, running through the spell’s incantation in her head. By the time the silver-haired Shinigami began introducing himself, Soon-ja was already raising her palm. Before her hand even passed her waist, a second presence stopped her dead in her tracks.
Should she lie? The idea briefly crossed her mind. There was absolutely no way she was going to attack a pair of unknown Shinigami. If neither of the two before her were associated with the Soul Society, it wouldn’t be too difficult to pose as an unseated member of any of the thirteen squads. She wasn’t particularly up to date with the captains or their lieutenants, but she was pretty sure Byakuya was still leading the sixth squad. If nothing else, it was something to fall back on. Instead, Soon-ja decided to just respond. She wasn’t asked about her affiliation, so there was no reason to talk about it.
”Sonja. I’m quite sure we haven’t met.”
She saw no reason to hide her name. Nobody would remember the name of a missing, unseated Shinigami from 400 years ago. Probably. She took a cautious step back as the newcomer approached, though she retreated no further.

Well wasn't this an interesting sight? She was raising her palm toward Jin. Was she going to attack? Perhaps try and bind him to keep him away from her, or maybe so she could make a daring escape. What could she be hiding that she didn't want him around? He stopped tapping his chin by this point, his grin was gone, and his hand that was still resting on his hilt moved every so slightly, almost invisibly; Jin felt that if she were going to attack, or try and bind him, he needed to be ready to counter.
However, this daring attempt was halted when a curious little vizard managed to make his way to the gathering. Jin decided to try and get in some more words, possibly a question, while Tracy walked his way toward the two of them. And as the two of them both rested their hands, Jin opened his mouth, his right hand still on the top of his hilt. "Well, I'm glad we could rectify that." He started, grinning widely at the woman. "But, I didn't get any wo-" He stopped right there in his tracks, his head creakily turning to the side, toward the other man. Was he trying to be funny? Hampering on the investigation of this woman; all the information Jin needed and this was what Tracy opened with. Jin rose a finger, then grinned again speaking softly and shrugging his shoulders. "If only dude. If only, I'm on a job...no drinking for me."
Despite his carefree, quirky nature Jin still kept his attention of the girl. Ever careful to drop subtle hints, perhaps give this woman just an idea of who he was. Her name didn't ring a bell, nor did he remember her. But she was a vizard, that much was fact; and there weren't many of them, none that were marked specifically for their...special condition. Even his own Vice-Captain was a little special, like Tracy and this woman. And yes, He was sure that any chance she would get to flee, she would take it. Though...a chase wasn't that bad of an idea. He pondered the idea, carefully musing over just how it would look the three of them playing cat and mouse. He knew he was faster than Tracy, but he wasn't sure what this woman was capable of.
On second thought...let's keep things simple. He coughed, once more turning his complete attention to the woman, noticing that she had taken a step back when Tracy appeared. Was she so scared of her own kind? Or was it the fact that there were two of them to her one. hmmmmm.... In any event, Jin placed his left hand in his pants pocket, sighing and speaking as he recalled the manifest for job duties. "Anyway...That's Tracy, he doesn't know how to introduce himself." He leaned in, pulling his left hand out of his pocket, and covering his mouth from view for Tracy, whispering to the this Sonja. "He's a little special." Jin laughed a little to himself, pulling back and then rubbing the back of his head. "Back to business. I didn't see you on active duty for the living world. You're certainly not part of my division, I'd remember you. So...what brings you to the living world..."Sonja?"

So, jerkoff was planning on taking that route? Alright, two can play at that game. He’d known Jin since before Tracy had ever become a visored. They had been pretty close, not the best of friends, but still close. As of recently, Jin had come out to take Toshirou’s place as captain of squad 10. It made sense that one white haired captain would be replaced by another. The thing that always caught Thurstan off guard, though, were Jin’s red eyes. They were so indescribable, being both full of strength and power, yet also flowing with romance, youth, and creativity. One thing he knew for sure, though, the last eyes he’d want to be staring into when he died were Jin’s.
Thurstan tilted his head at the visored girl, looking her over curiously, mostly ignoring his comment about being on a job. Mostly.
“Is the hollow situation really so bad that they had to send you out here? I’ve been dealing with the bastards all morning, myself.” he said, looking at Jin and scratching the back of his head again. Tracy had discerned three things about the girl. She wasn’t part of the Gotei 13 because she almost attacked a captain. She was a visored, based on the miniscule amount of reiatsu she was giving off; and that was the last thing: She was giving off so little reiatsu that she had to be at least captain level in order to hide it that well. Thurstan knew that he certainly couldn’t, and that he’d never met a visored with a reiatsu that was actually this low. She was good, really good.
The visored in white and blue looked back at the girl, making solid eye contact. He flared his reiatsu in the way that he did when he was depicting the emotion of comfort. The wavelengths shifted again and he increased the output by a miniscule amount.
“That’s right. I’m Trace,” he made a point not to say Tracy. Only his closest friend were allowed to call him that, and even they knew they were riding thin ice when they did. “Nice to meet you, Sonja, and thank you for dealing with these hollows.” He smiled calmly at her then turned his face back to Jin.
His expression got serious, “She’s a freelance, like me, Jin. But affiliation doesn’t matter much.” He looked over at Sonja again. “Some quincy’s been setting off hollow bait around town and if we don’t figure out what’s going on sooner or later, we’ll be knee deep in-” Thurstan stopped and peered up at the sky.
The baby blue ceiling of the world split open like a deep wound and from the blackened path to Hueco Mundo, the faces of several massive hollows burst forth.
“-Menos.”

My division. The words solidified what Sono-ja had already been dreading. A captain or, at the very least, a delusional lieutenant. She’d already observed what she presumed to be the resident Shinigami, the oblivious man that he was, so it safe to assume the Shinigami before her had come for a different reason. And then came the question Soon-ja truly didn’t want to answer. With the confirmation of Jin’s true affiliation, her fallback plan was completely ruined. One question about any of the current affairs in the Soul Society would essentially split her deceit wide open. She could play dumb, but not that dumb. Even the worst students at the academy could list the names and divisions of each captain. She was still struggling to come up with an acceptable answer when Trace intervened.
The man’s comforting aura and light words of gratitude caught Soon-ja completely by surprise. In her centuries of work, not once had she been thanked by another Shinigami. Most interactions started with invasive question about her purpose or goals - both things she couldn’t really explain - and end with her fleeing. She looked away from Trace, avoiding eye contact as she felt her cheeks slightly flush from embarrassment. ”Pleasure to meet you too. It wasn’t a big deal. I happened to be passing by and they were pretty weak.”
Soon-ja couldn’t help but wonder if freelancing something that the Soul Society accepted. Trace had, after all, openly declared himself as one. While such a claim didn’t really cover for her odd behavior and methods up to this point, it seemed like the best option. She wasn’t exactly sure what the title entailed, perhaps they had to report to the Soul Society on their actions, but it was a chance she had to take. Plus, it seemed like Trace was willing to back her up on the matter. She ended up just nodding as she continued, returning her gaze to Jin. ”I’m a little new in town. Hopefully I won’t step on your toes.”
The entire reasoning behind hollow bait escaped Soon-ja. Summoning Menos, who rarely appeared on their own, just seemed like an incredibly stupid idea. She looked skyward at horrific menos-filled opening. Her hand immediately went to the hilt of her weapon. She wasn’t one to let a half dozen Gillian run rampant around Karakura town; she still felt bound by duty. Still, it was a good opportunity to gauge her new acquaintance’s strength and, possibly, make an escape. She didn’t plan on waiting long. If the pair didn’t make a move, she’d be forced to.

"Haha, Kuji-kun you're so cute when you're angry like that!" Footsteps could be heard coming from at least five people people. A young man with black short spiky hair could be seen wearing a male uniform of Karakura High, a young man with a long brunette ponytail that would reach to his lower waist was seen also wearing a uniform of Karakura High, another young man with purple colored hair that was seen in a Mohawk like fashion was seen wearing a Karakura High uniform, and lastly he fourth was a female with brunette colored hair tied into a high ponytail that would reach toward her waist length she would be wearing the female uniform of Karakura High. The fifth person who was walking with the group of friends was none of then our crimson haired Quincy, Aiden, "Grrr, Aiden! For once will you not skip out on doing your homework! It's annoying when we have to come to your aid!" One of Aiden's friends named Kuji would scold him once again for the fact he had skipped out on doing his Homework for personal reason, "Heh, leave him alone Kuji-san. Aiden probably had a perfectly good reason, right?" Aiden's friend Ranmaru always had his back. He was basically the calm and collected buff ruffian of the group.
Aiden would laugh alongside his friends, but then he would look at a Ripple in the Sky. It had seemed as though it would be split in half opening up as a gigantic creature would step out of it only the portion of its head outstretching from the strange portal, "Ah...guys...go on without me. I just remembered I left something back at Beef & Pork Shop, kay?" His friends would look at one another confused, but would shrug it off as Ranmaru said, "Alright, buddy!" Remember we're meeting up at that new store Mitsuko's been bothering us about twenty four seven!" Aiden would nod dashing off as Mitsuko would stand beside Igarashi looking saddened as he left, "Aiden..." She whispered silently.
"What the hell is that thing?! All, I wanted to do was hang out with my friends today, kyaaaaa~!" Gripping tightly on his bag he would use Hirenkyaku creating a zipping like noise dispersing on to the top of a large rooftop building, "Alright...time to change," Stripping out of his uniform he would quickly begin to change wearing a long black dress (it appears to be like one) except it isn't as it is slit on both sides all the way toward the waist as it is seen to be red on the inside but black on the out, under the dress is a pair of black dress pants and finalizing the outfit with black dress shoes upon his feet. For the top of his shirt he does not wear one with this outfit an is seen to be bare chest revealing his abs and biceps. For his accessory he would have a black choker around his neck with a chain connected to a Rosario and his Quincy Bangle with three arm bands on both arms being the wrist, elbow, and bicep. Lastly, Aiden would tie a black blindfold around his eyes as he was now blindfolded.
Snapping his fingers Aiden would begin to gather Reishi into the left palm of his hands where a crimson red long metal solid bow was formed within his hand. Aiden was now prepared to go strike the Quincy, but as he was about to do so he would hear a screeching like noise. Turning his head to the side he would wonder what that noise exactly was, but for now he would keep focus on the target being the Menos.
Aiden would disperse creating a zipping like noise within the air as he would pursue to face the Menos Grande dead on. He would stand before it standing at least twenty five feet away from it, "So...this is my first Menos Grande encounter..." Holding his arrow at the Menos Grande Aiden would stand aiming straight for its mask, but before doing so he would feel a strange spiritual pressure...the spiritual pressure of a Death God, "Huh? Could this be another Hollow? But...it doesn't feel like one," Aiden would scan the area looking around. Whose Spiritual Pressure was it?

Thurstan saw the tension in the visored beside him. She’d taken up a ready position with her hand on the hilt of her zanpakuto. She knew what she was doing, and what the rest of them needed to do. Thurstan let out a heavy sigh before speaking to her. “I’m not all that fast, so I’ll aim for the ones in the back. If you can keep up with Jin, focus on the Menos that are already getting through. We can’t afford to let them spread.” He looked at Sonja , placing his right hand on Shironaito’s hilt. “Now don’t just take this chance to run off on me, will yah? I’d like to get some coffee later.”
With that, Trace vanished from the sight of any weaker spiritual beings that may have been watching, but Jin wouldn’t have a problem seeing him. Thurstan wasn’t as fast as he wanted to be, or as powerful. He couldn’t do as much as he wanted to when it came to the protection of others. Mujitsu o mamoru. Protect the innocent. Those were the words that guided shironaito’s powers into shikai form. What was the point of using those words if he couldn’t do just that? The expression on his face was solid and determined.
The visored’s blade passed cleanly through the face of a lesser hollow as his flash step carried him to his destination. There are so damn many of these bastards. Another hollow came into his path and he cleanly sliced through it with ease, then, rolling shironaito across his fingers, his grip reversed and Trace cut through a second hollow just to his right. He felt the presence of a quincy nearby and his eyes shifted in that direction. It was Aiden. The kid was so young and eccentric. There was no way he was the one dumping the hollow bait everywhere. Heck, the kid probably came to help.
And so he had. Aiden’s body appeared before one of the forward gillians and the great beast immediately began to charge a Cero. Thurstan wasn’t fast enough to get Aiden out of the way, but that didn’t keep the visored from shouting to his friend.
“Aiden! Move!” Trace held his route, slashing through two more hollows and dodging a Cero directed at him. His actions brought him to the gillian that had just stepped out of the garganta.
“Be at peace.” he whispered as his blade slid through its mask with little resistance. The great hollow disintegrated, evaporating into thin air. Thurstan didn’t have time to appreciate his success before being forced to dodge another Cero. His speed could only just keep up and he felt the heat of the condensed reishi on the back of his neck as the hollow’s projectile blew past him.
He felt the presence of hundreds of basic hollows emerging from the massive garganta beside him. With a heavy sigh, he let his feelings radiate through his vocal chords. “Well, fuck.”

"Well Tracy, to be honest, I'm not here for the hollow. We've still got our own wa-" Jin stopped, his eyes fading back to the girl. Perhaps talking about that right now wouldn't be the best of options. She was, at the very least, a kind girl. She didn't take the chance to run, and she had taken out some hollow on her own. "Eh. I'm not here for that; but if it's gotten so bad that two of you can't handle it...I suuuu~pose I can help." Now he was still curious about the girl, and why she was here, a vizard, and why he had no idea who she was. And as the conversation moved forward, He would get a better idea of how to handle it.
He nodded along as the other two spoke. His eyes were closed while his hand cupped his chin. He was trying to internally debate just what to do with this girl. A freelance? Well, all freelance vizard started in the gotei; Vizard were welcome, so she wouldn't have been banished for being one of them. Jin had been serving with the gotei for a few centuries now, and he hadn't ever run into her, but she seemed powerful enough. Hmm...I wonder how old she is. He asked himself, his eyes drifting off toward the sky for a moment. I know it's rude in the human world...but do we get offended by those kinds of questions?
Jin was becoming more and more enthralled by his own question; pondering and losing focus on the task at hand. He wanted to ask, but he also didn't want to offend her, and possibly have her flee from their little chat. However, even in the midst of his delusion. She had said something to him, and while he was drifting off, he wasn't rude. "I wouldn't be to mad about it Sonja." He said as a grin slithered across his lips. "I'm pretty durable...." He said as he pounded his chest. But then something unusual happened. A unique energy, one that he hadn't felt in some time appeared. A menos? Really? Damn you Quincy all to hell. He yelled internally, raising an imaginary fist in the air. He was just about to come up with an answer to his inward debate when not one, not two, but a fuck ton of menos started to appear. He wanted to help, to show off, but there was something about this girl that still troubled him. Running off to the battle would give her a chance to flee. No, she can handle this...
"By all means..." He bowed, offering her the chance to take the the damn things out; or at the very least start the attack. "I'll catch up, I just gotta...you know...che-" His thought was cut off when he heard Tracy yell out...Aiden? Damn it, Aiden... Jin watched as the menos started to charge his cero. He started to turn his head as he rose a finger. "Hold that thought..." He grinned wildly and in a moment, a blur almost, Jin was gone. He shunpoed as fast as he could, going as far as he could, and finally appeared in front of the menos, his sword drawn and in the middle of the menos cero. Looking back at the young quincy, his grin still present as the powerful energy was split down the center. "You really ought'a be more careful Aiden; these things aren't for kids."
He said, teasingly. Then, as the cero finished, Jin shunpoed to the menos' face. Swinging his blade upward toward the sky, and then down once more Jin managed to cut the head well enough, and deep enough, to cause the mask to fall apart and cause the menos to disappear in the sky. He waved his hand for Aiden to follow before shunpoing back down to the girl. He kept his sword ready and sighed. "How about we finish this conversation once these hollow are dealt with. I'm not normally so serious, but they could be a real problem. As for you Aiden, be more careful you nut." He smiled before leaving to aid Tracy. Damn idiot.

Run off? Where could they have possibly gotten that idea? Soon-ja mocked her own easy to read thoughts as she watched the two Shinigami hurl themselves towards the menos. Coffee with strangers alongside finishing a conversation she never wanted in the first place; compelling reasons to stick around. Still she wasn’t about to leave with the sheer amount of hollows concentrated in the once place. Deep in the depths of her mind, she couldn’t help but wonder if her years of hiding were for naught. This captain didn’t recognize her, nor did he seem remotely interested in detaining her for her ‘freelancing’.
Soon-ja gritted her teeth as she watched the Shinigami hack their way through the growing ranks of hollows. They were holding back. Were they hesitant because of her presence? To be fair, she had been doing something similar, but the degree almost offended her. Menos, tons of standard hollows, and a breach that didn’t appear to be closing any time soon; while going straight to Bankai would be overkill, there wasn’t any reason they should risk the ridiculous potential collateral damage by holding their punches. Spirit particles condensed into recognizable shape by her right hand, slowly forming into the disturbing visage of a hollow.
“Are you sure you want to do that?” The distasteful voice echoed inside Soon-ha’s head. Regardless of her inner hollow’s tone, she knew this is what the creature wanted: to show off. Fortunately it overlapped with her own desires; if Kodokuna Kyūryū was going to help her stem the seemingly endless tides of hollow for a little attention, who was she to deny the help? She didn’t bother responding, instead leaping skyward with the mask still gripped in her hand. Her eyes had already taken on the disturbing orange hue and black sclera of her hollowification. Soon-ja steeled herself as she placed the stifling mask over her face, letting her inner hollow’s Reiryoku fuse with her own. She couldn’t help but let her Reiatsu flare as the action completed.
Soon-ja kept to the right, avoiding the center of the mass of hollows where Trace was fighting. She opened her mouth in a silent scream, a roil of crimson energy condensing between her jaws. She didn’t have many attacks that covered a wide area, nor any that could quickly and effectively deal with the vast number of hollow that were appearing though the breach. In such a situation her Shikai would be of little to no help. So she turned to Cero. The collection of condensed Reiryoku quickly reached critical mass, exploding forward in a powerful surge. She was careful to keep the arc skyward, never allowing the destructive beam to so much as graze the roofs of nearby buildings or the other Shinigami as it ripped through the ranks of invading hollows.

Aiden continued to her the certain dense scream of a single Hollow, but it was as if the Hollow was calling out too him. He didn't have a clue what was going on, but that was when he heard his name...Aiden? Someone spoke his name and the voice seemed familiar. Snapping out of his inner thoughts, that was when he would notice a familiar face in the middle. With a joyful smile building in around his mouth he would shout, "Nyaaa, Jin-senpai~!" Aiden would remove the blindfold from upon his eyes doing so and would give a large happy kitty face like smile as he would disperse his spiritual arrow from upon the bows string.
Waving at Jin he would watch as he dismantled the Hollow's Cero and came to aid Aiden quickly as possible. Aiden would follow him the next toward the surface where a girl he would speak with and then left to aid Trascis. Following behind Jin he would think about Mitsuko all of a sudden and his friends hoping that they were all okay, but taking a quick halt he would do so as they reaced Tracies location.
Aiden would hear the wailing scream of a Hollow once more, it was almost as if the Hollow who he kept hearing would only be of his interest. It was as if it was calling out to him, to come follow him and hunt him down. Could it have been a Hollow never before seen or met? Aiden was unsure, but for now he needed to help Trascis and that was his main goal, "Trascis! We're here to help out, haha!" The group was assembled as of now. Aiden alongside with Jin were here to help out a friend in battle, the three dream teams were now together and ready to handle these Hollow's one by one.
"Whenever you're ready, just give the okay~!" Aiden would do a small dance as he would shake his bottom with his palms gripped together giving yet again the kitty tease face as he was being his weird self as usual, "I'm ready to shred these Hollows to pieces," he said with a fierce wording in his speech.

Thurstan’s blade passed through another hollow, severing its arm then removing its head in one swift movement. He caught Sonja’s movements out of the corner of his eye. He could see her, be he’d never have been able to keep up. She was at least as fast as Jin, if not faster. Trace didn’t have any more time to watch. Another gillian’s Cero ripped past him and a horde of hollows came crawling through the garganta to devour his soul. He wouldn’t have that, not at all.
He slid through the first few hollows with ease, but as their numbers increased, so did the level he had to work. His primary targets were the gillians, but he couldn’t even get to them through all these damned hollows. He swept, dodged, thrust, blocked, dodged, and swept again. Another three hollows vaporized into thin air. In a brief moment of respite, he caught Sonja firing a Cero. The great red blast of energy shredded the lines of hollow before her and blew a hole in the mask of the closest menos.
So she’s already using her mask…why? Thurstan didn’t exactly understand why she would revert to that tactic so quickly. It was reckless. If the mask wore off before the job was done, then she’d be left weaker than before. It wasn’t smart.
“Yes it is. She knows how to get the job done right.” The distorted feminine voice of his inner hollow echoed in his mind.
“Go home. I’ll call you when you’re needed.” Thurstan retorted calmly and without anger.
“I’ll determine when I’m needed, Tracy. You just remember that. You can’t hold me back forever.”
“But I can.” A second, much calmer female voice broke in, “Come on, Kuro, Let’s go.”
“Alright, alright; I’ll be back. I’m never really gone, after all.” Kuronaito’s voice faded away. “But Tracy, you might want to dodge.”
Thurstan had to think about that statement for a moment before he realized it. Dodge! The visored only had a split-second to react before the Cero seared the air on direct path for its target. Barely able to dodge, the massive blast of condensed reishi scorched the sleeve of his jacket, leaving a black splotch on the white leather. He hissed silently to himself.
“Fuck you, Kuro. Trying to get me killed.”
“Relax Trace,” Shironaito stepped in again, “Just focus. I’m still here.”
“Yeah.” Thurstan took in a deep breath as he spun around to face the hollow. A shunpo brought him closer to the gillian that had almost turned him into a pile of ash and a quick flash of his left hand flung out the kido as he spoke its name. “Hadō Number Fifty-Four: Haien!” The purple crescent of death flashed out of his fingers and, upon reaching the gillian, incinerated it immediately in a massive flame.
Thurstan came skidding to a halt in the air, only to look and find Aiden and Jin staring at him.
“Aiden…it’s Trace. Don’t use my last name; that’s weird.” He took a deep breath and eyed the mark on his sleeve. “Fuckin’ pain in the ass. I really liked this jacket.”
“I sure hope you’re ready Aiden, ‘cause things are about to get real serious.” Thurstan’s brow furrowed and he stretched his sword arm out diagonally toward the ground. “Mojitsu o mamoru, Shironaito.” Without much flair or excitement, really, the form of Thurstan’s Zanpakuto altered to take on the appearance of a western longsword, and a large, crowned heater-shield with a pair of wings etched into its front made its home on his left forearm, while a single pauldron took up residence on his sword arm.
“Let’s get this over with, Jin.”

Jin sighed, wondering what he had gotten himself into. Gallivanting around with a quincy and two vizards, fighting evil, being the good guys, and trying to not bump heads. Jin already had to save one of them, and he wasn't quite convinced he wouldn't have to save them again. Though, the more he thought about it, the more he watched the others rushing off, taking out their own targets. He was sure that he had made the right deicision in staying. In not pushing Sonja for more information, for saving Aiden. With a wide grin, he met up with Tracy, his hand on his blade. "Like I need you to tell me to get it done. Aiden...let's go. Show these damn demons that you're not half bad for a baby quincy."
There wasn't much to Jin; he was a simple man, kind but knew when to draw the line. Fun, but knew when to be serious. He wasn't going to be the one that got left behind; he planned on beating Thurstan to the punch. Whether it be with hollow kills, getting to the center of the void, or just outright killing all of the menos. And as much as he wanted to do it without his shikai, Jin knew better. He wouldn't risk losing a friend, or anything else that may come because of his own arrogance.
Jin looked around, at Aiden, then at Tracy, and then over to Sonja. He hadn't yet flared his reiatsu, he hadn't yet completely and utterly shown off his true abilities. Well, why not now? At least a little bit. "Watch closely class...THIS is how you deal with hollow. Death be with you. Zetsumei!" The already long blade started to glow, a red crimson hue covering the entire blade. As the blade started to shift, each part of it changing from the hilt, to the guard, and then to the blade itself, Jin swung it down finishing the transformation. Now with his black blade, Jin shunpoed to one of the hollows. There were six in a row, and with a mischievous grin he shunpoed.
After each shunpo an after image formed, one after the other until he was past the sixth hollow. Then, swinging his blade and creating a glyph from under his feet, he drained himself of his precious crimson nectar to fuel this attack. Six red beams came from the glyph, each hitting one hollow after the other, piercing their skulls as each one was fooled by an after image. "That's how you do it!" He exclaimed, shunpoing past the rest of the hollow and aiming for one of the menos. He managed to guide himself to the top of the skull, stabbing it in the base of the nose, slashing upward. He may not be a vizard, but he could definitely tangle with them well enough.
