Shego is a rather tall woman, standing a little over six foot-two. She is set on a well sculpted athletic body and sports mocha skin with emerald green eyes. Soft feminine features and baby smooth skin eases the tension of her personality. Brunette hair stops at the jawline with a neatly trimmed fringe to frame her face. She has several mystic-designed tattoos on her arms and forehead. Due to a genetic deformity, Shego is left with a pseudo-Glasgow Smile, allowing her to unhinge her jaw much wider than usual. Inside her mouth are jagged teeth. She can be found wearing standard shinigami attire with captains haori draped over her shoulders.

In an era before joining the Gotei 13, Shego was a simple wanderer, Loyalty and dedication only but fleeting words as she was always on the move. She possesses a dry sense of humor and sarcastic wit, yet she dealt with a lot of emotional anxiety. In the earlier years of life, Shego was cynical, though wise beyond her years. Her humble and soft-spoken demeanor belied her warrior prowess. In many ways, she represented the strength of the knights of old: steadfast, selfless, and modest. Considering her lust for travel, often leading her to dangerous territory, she developed a skill at resolving disputes without a single battle -- earning her the sobriquet The Negotiator.
Over time, Shego lost some of her youthful audacity and assumed the role of a more cautious and conservative informative source. Shego carefully measured her actions in any situation, garnering her the aforementioned nom de guerre. She often thought out plans and strategies rather than leaping into action. On a further personal level, Shego, while exhibiting both key features of sexes, she will typically answer to female connotations as it is the more prominent physical representation. In current standing, Shego considers herself emotionally divorced from the rest of humanity -- shinigami, often referring to "humans" as if she is not one of them. Not far from the truth.
Shego, throughout her existence, has developed an internal feeling of emptiness, leading to many youthful attempts to "feel alive," yet it's all in vain. Shego has no feelings or conscience and all of her emotional responses are part of a well-rehearsed act to conceal her true nature. She has no interest in romance or sex, considering any potential relationship to be part of her disguise. There are kinks in Shego's emotional armor, however. Digging deep beneath the surface, one can gauge that her personality can vaguely be described as evil incarnate.
Shego is not merely content to control, but to dominate individuals into totally obedient and morally corrupt caricatures of individuals. She has a strong need to be worshiped and feared and to nurture the most horrible aspects of the human spirit. In a personality cult reminiscent of Stalinism, her subjects are raised to venerate her, to sacrifice themselves gladly in her name. As to any great actor, Shego practices great emotional restraint, always maintaining a calm and disciplined composure despite the furious rage that may boil within her. Shego possess a twisted form of honor, but this code is flexible depending on her mood. It seems she desires to be thought of as an honorable being, but never lets this stand in the way of her gaining power or revenge. She especially takes delight in seeing the mighty brought low - whether in strength or moral conviction.
Shego's primary weakness may be her obsessions to get even with people who have gotten the better of her. Shego's great ambition is to transcend beyond moral and physical limitations, becoming something unattainable to anyone else. To this end, she seeks to unravel the mysteries of the psyche and physiology of sentient beings. It's like it doesn't phase her, almost as if it isn't real, like they're all extras in her movie. She fails to acknowledge the lives of others as they really are. That each man, woman, or child she kills, physically or emotionally ruin had a family or some kind of history.
No, to her they're just objects in the room. Things in the way of her prize. A truly heartless outlook, but thanks to her mentality, it isn't selective. She's almost unaware of it, like that's how it's suppose to be. Life is all about Shego for the most part. Dissolving the emotional need for companionship, she doesn't understand what it's like to care for others outside of typical duties, or personal gain. It's all one big punchline for her, one big pay off. And that's just fine by her.

sealed form: The blade is characterized by its rather standard base appearance: a curved, slender, single-edged blade with a squared guard and long grip to accommodate two hands. Like most sealed forms and weapons of this nature, it is renowned for its sharpness and strength. What makes it stand apart from the standard sealed zanpaktou are a number of visuals; the blade, which is 62 cm in length and stark white -- holding an inscription 'Bad Motherfucker' in gold along the blades length. The square guard and grip resemble a marble-like material.
spirit: Sanus Ensis has a rather solitary and matter-of-fact attitude. Her calm and detached demeanor has been noted as "cool and trendy" by Shego. Despite her reputation and prowess as a ruthless fighter, Sanus Ensis shows no sign of arrogance, and is rather modest about her abilities. Her naturally calm attitude is used to her advantage in battle, as it becomes easier for her to maintain her composure to stay focused on the situation at hand, and ultimately notice everything around her. As a result, she can quickly adjust to almost any situation to make keen and thought-out decisions, attempting to stay steps ahead of Shego.
Sanus Ensis can be a deep and sometimes inquisitive person, though it always gets the best of her. She is far from naive and innocent, and very well understands the dangers and ways of the real world. She is especially cautious when mingling with Shego and partaking in harm inducing activities. She can be rather insensitive and a bit under-emotional at times, not one to take jokes and pranks lightheartedly. Deep down she has a very caring, pure and kind heart. A stark contrast to Shego.
inner world: Shego's inner world is a sprawling neon metropolis devoid of any sentient life save for herself and her spirit. The streets are littered with trash, signifying that there were signs of life at some point. The only hint of other 'people' are mannequins pre-placed in various positions. Couples conversing, a robbery gone sour, a family reunion, multiple scenes yet no clear life behind them except in the abstract.
Neon signs of modern services plaster themselves on every other building -- some detailing hair treatment, medical services, others more adult oriented. In the center of this modern husk lie a towering spiral structure made of metal and neon lights, ending with a large orb stationed at the top, glowing with vibrant psionic energy. Housed in the orb is Sanus Ensis who keeps constant watch over lifeless bodies.

description: Atypical among other members of the katana tradition, the tip of this blade has been forged to hold two edges, one fashioned in the traditional eastern style, and the other in that of the west. Measuring at 73 cm. long with a double-edged curve 2 cm from the tip. The blade runs off of a jet black color scheme, giving off a black streak of reiatsu when swung in the presence of light. Serrations on the dull edge can allow the user to hook onto and control an opponent's movements. The cross guard is a normal rectangular one, with only an omega design on the top and bottom half.

Description: Upon release, Shego's zanpaktou projects psionic energies within 15 meters of Shego that limits the effects of speed -- both physical and spiritually augmented. This applies to both organic and non-organics. Shego allows the psionic energies to permeate their cells and then lets it permeate into the environment. When coming in contact with energy (physical, spiritual, magical, ect) augmenting the speed of any object/organic, the permeated psionics caustically dampens the opposing force. As a result, the object or organism's have their molecules slowed, giving the effect similar to time stopping. However, the faster the molecules are, the harder it is to freeze it, making opponents or objects with greater speed than she can process more resistant to this ability.
The slowing effect takes place in living entities if their HOH stat is -4 or below Shego's SEI stat. If their HOH stat is 3 or higher than her SEI stat then this ability will have no affect.

These attacks can be implemented through the swinging or thrusting of the sword. It's damage is potentially lethal if exposed areas such as the neck are struck.

If the zanpaktou strikes something tangible while in this state, it sends out a psionic impulse, launching a concussive burst of pressurized fiery blue energy with enough force to knock whatever it came in contact with over, launch it into the air, or in cases of fragile materials like ceramics, shatter into pieces. When it comes to sentient bodies, the larger strength differential translates into pressure differential, resulting in potential bones breaking and internal organ damage.

Description: By maintaining possession of her blade, Shego is able to cover herself and surrounding allies within a fifteen yard radius with a fiery blue protective shield, wall or a field, varying appearances. This bestows Shego and her companions a resistance to a wide range of attacks until it's use is discontinued by her, she becomes fatigued, or the protection is broken. The protection acts as a one-way membrane, allowing things to get out but not back. As such, any personal belongings, physical/energy attacks that come out cannot return, making this ability primarily defensive with an inherent offensive risk.
Attacks are measured against Shego's SEI stat (HAK for unarmed attacks, BUK for weapon attacks and SEI for spiritual/energy attacks). Anything -3 or higher than her SEI stat will prevail, while attacks of any type -4 and below her SEI stat will fail to penetrate the barrier. The barrier lasts for two posts.

description: Activating Bankai causes the tremendous spiritual well inside Shego to jettison outwards from her being in a torrent of psionic energy, spinning a cocoon around her at will in a matter of seconds. After a few brief moments Shego emerges from the cocoon at a new level of power. While not flashy like other bankai's, Shego's reiatsu takes on a fiery dark hue, pooling into her eyes to give her an otherworldy look.

Description: Shego produces the power to project tangible extensions from her mind. She can create any particular item(s) or construct that she can imagine within the limitations of what's established in the world. Thus she cannot make up a new element, a universe destroying weapon and so forth. She cannot replicate abilities or statistical value of other entities. The constructs are made out of fiery black energy which become tangible once tied to a form of thought and they exist for a determined amount of time. Items and constructs are not indestructible and are only as powerful as Shego. The cost of the constructs and items are tied to their size. The bigger they are, the more energy it takes to manifest.
In terms of defensive constructs and mobile, semi-sentient constructs (robots, zombies, ect), attacks are measured against Shego's SEI stat (HAK for unarmed attacks, BUK for weapon attacks and SEI for spiritual/energy attacks). Anything -4 or higher than her SEI stat will prevail, while attacks of any type -5 and below her SEI stat will fail to destroy the constructs. Offensive constructs last for 3 posts. Defensive constructs last for 2 posts. Shego can summon up to 3 constructs at a time.

Description: Helios starts off by Shego charging the psionic energy in her body, distorting the area around her. The longer she charges, the more apparent these distortions become. Once the desired peak has been achieved, the concentrated forms of psychic energy are ejected from her body, dispersing in a domed thirty yard base range radius before dissipating. The power scale of this ability is colossal, as it could range in being able to cause immense amounts of collateral damage. The radius increases by 10 yards each post up to 7 posts. During the charging phase, Shego is unable to use abilities/kido.

Description: A useful passive ability that is mult-versatile. Characterized by fiery black energy, it can allow Shego to lift multiple objects according to her level of concentration and move them, hovering the items in any direction. She could cause a material body to draw close to her. The greater Shego's capacity, the heavier the object that could be pulled and an increase in radius and successful distance. It could be used to pull weapons from enemies, or even the enemies themselves to be brought closer to Shego's striking range.
Gripping is in the spectrum. While having a hold of her opponent, she could choose to applicate a strangle on the target's internal organs or parts of the body. However, the primary purpose was to immobilize or control a target's movement and choking the target to death could be secondary. Throwing a captured target is also a viable applicant. Shego can lift and push any living thing, even against it's will provided that it's REI stat is lower than her SEI stat by -4 and below. Once the REI stat is -3 below her SEI stat or above this value, the victim can break free of her psychic grasp.
When performing lethal action against captured foes, the pressure applied by Shego matches her SEI stat against the victims HAN stat. Shego can apply unresistant pressure on the desired location provided that victims HAN stat is lower than her SEI stat by -6 and below. If the HAN stat is -5 below her SEI stat or above this value, the victim can resist the pressure. Once the Lasts 3 posts.

HISTORY:
Shego's human life is nonexistent, the entity dying whilst in the womb of the mother. The true meat and potatoes of the story lies beyond the gates of death in Soul Society. The entity born to the name Shego Miyagi was born in the outskirts of the more labor inclined districts of Rukongai to an abusive miner named Kujino. Despite this, she was considered "special". That's what her mother told her before she passed shortly after Shego was born. Normally, when a parent tells their child they're special, it means unique, gifted. It normally does not mean they're born with a disfiguring look and a mentality to match. "Normally". Of course Shego isn't, nor was she ever normal.
Her father was afraid of her bringing shame to his prestigious family. Really. What would the other miners of Rukongai say if they found out Shego wasn't attractive? So she was kept in the basement. Their home lacked windows, but the other miners could have x-ray vision. Yeah, had nothing to do with Shego's father not wanting to see her.
Shego was kept in the cellar of their home, alone and cold. This was the point in her life where she developed her fragile mentality. There, alone in that basement where the only interaction with the outside world was being fed through a sliding door, like a prisoner. It's where she lost her mind, developed various mental ailments. But, as stated before, Shego was born special to begin with. Shego spent her entire young life in the cellar of that basement.
She spent all of her time working out. Push-ups, sit-ups, isometrics, bun-busters, ect. She'd stay there alone, working out all the time with the occasional visit she'd get from her father. Jaws, as she was nicknamed, was often bullied by her father. Kujino blamed his daughter for the death of his wife, and also blamed her for his own miserable life in the district.
Great. Each time before Kujino left, she'd comment that the bun busters were working nicely. Even better. Shego continued with her schedule. Wake up, work out, eat, work out, "work out" below the waist, sleep. It was a regular thing and she was fine by that. In the following decades, when she was physically mature enough, Shego began to work in the mines of the district under the direction of a moderate mining company. The bottom half of her face concealed to prevent other miners from seeing her disfigurement.
She learned to fend for herself, ignoring the threats and insults hurled at her by her father and his peers, growing into a muscular young woman as she worked deep in the mines. Unknown to anyone, Shego was spiritually aware, occasionally feeling the call of something deep within her. One day, a drunk Kujino berated Shego until she stood up to him, challenging him to a fight.
Irate, Kujino beat her until her ribs cracked, although Shego withstood the pain without sound. That night, Shego, filled with hate, envisioned her father dying by picturing a giant hand squeezing his heart. The next morning, Kujino was dead. Unwitting to Shego, she had used her reiatsu to kill her father. After Kujino's death, his friends tried to continue with their harassment of Shego, but the young miner now had the confidence to stand up for herself, and proceeded to best many of them in fight until they learned to leave her alone.
Honing this new mentality, Shego frequented the miners hub which was the local bar where all the miners crammed into after a long day of work. Through repeat indulgements, Shego had developed into a skilled gambler. One particular night, Shego began playing hanafuda in the local bar against other miners and a group of partnered employees from the prestine Seireitei who had arrived to pick up shipments from her employer.
As a skilled gambler, Shego proceeded to win many games while also tossing frequent barbs at the Seireitei employees. Successfully driving every other player out of the game, Shego played her final hand against an unseated Shinigami, both ended up at a stalemate. In a sudden death round, Shego beat the Shinigami, giving her the sweet taste of victory and the money pot. The irate Shinigami attempted to attack Shego, but was stopped by Hoshi, the bar keep and Shego's only friend. Hoshi ordered everyone but Shego out, explaining the the woman that he was worried; Shego had somehow played the employees, twisting them to her advantage and never relenting. Further more, the crowd had somehow fed off of Shego's energy, Hoshi believed.
Shego reassured her friend, though the man warned her to be careful. As Shego left the bar, she was attacked by the Shinigami and two other employees. Easily dominated by the feminine miner in physical combat, the Shinigami drew his blade. Shego's unconscious use of her spiritual power allowed her to react without thinking, resulting in the woman stabbing the unseated warrior with his own weapon, killing him. Panicked, the other employees fled to alert their superiors.
The miner was forced to turn to Hoshi, who used his contacts to save Shego from being caught and imprisoned by arranging her smuggled out of the district to join the Gotei Thirteen. It would be the safest bet for her, Rukongai being too dangerous of a place for her to reside any longer. Shego arrived at the academy, immediately beginning her studies in the ways of the Shinigami under the academies tutelage. On her own initiative, she also frequently studied the archives in the academy, which contained documents about the fundamentals of spiritual energy and the history of the Shinigami. Instructors discouraged the studying of the public archives, claiming they were relics of a time long forgotten. Thanks in part to this reasoning, Shego began to abandon the archives she studied in lew of increased focus on physical and mental exercises.
Despite the late discovery of her keen and powerful spiritual power, Shego began to exceed many of the students who had been trained specifically to enlist in the Gotei Thirteen. After training for several months, rapidly climbing to the top of her class, Shego challenged a fellow student named Mina, who had bested her in combat. After beating Shego in zanjutsu, Mina began to taunt her, causing Shego to boil with rage. Unleashing her anger, the woman nearly killed Mina with her reiatsu. This incident earned Shego the attention of Soji, the favorite of the instructors and one of the most prominent students in the academy.
Expected to be punished for nearly killing a fellow student, she was showed leniency, chalking it up to an honest mistake. The victory left Shego shaken, the student realizing that she had been responsible for the death of her father years before. This revelation caused Shego to doubt her superiors teachings. She began to fear the power she wielded. As a direct result she also started to lose her connection to it. Concluding that unless she acted quickly, she would fall behind the other students, she challenged Soji. The man easily bested Shego, nearly killing her in an ironic twist. Suffering such a terrible defeat bore the scorn of the other students.
Desperate, she turned to the archives once more. From them she learned more about the history of the Shinigami and the power of the zanpaktou. On top of the knowledge she had gained from academic classes, she piled on information from the archives which better allowed her to tune herself with her power. During this time Shego began to speak with her zanpaktou--her inner spirit as it was known. Locked in Jinzen, she dove into the abyss of her mind to confront the beast within.
A barren neon metropolis. Shego had seen this place before in her dreams, largely ignoring the true meaning behind it. Teaching and knowledge of what the dreams meant, at the time, had little weight behind them as she thought relying on her own strength would harbor fruit. Power makes people do funny things. Trekking through the empty streets, she came across a lone entity -- sleek, silvery, this feminized figure stood stationary as if daring Shego to come closer.
"You know what this means, do you not?" It spoke in a mechanized voice. "From this point forward, you are to leave mercy and hesitation at the door. Understood?" Such an odd way to kick off first encounters. Strangely enough, Shego understood what the silvery woman meant. Motioning forward, the shinigami slowly approached the woman without a peep. "Ah. The barren metropolis. You remember, don't you? This is the place where you first set out on your path. Where I first saw your eyes, the potential lying in them made me shiver. And so, I made a wager that you would become what you are today. I won the bet, Shego. At that time, I felt not only expectation.. but anxiety, too."
"I felt that someday I might have to face off against this formidable woman. Not only power, you have wagered your life many times. Your fate clearly shows the resolution you have earned through your experiences. People like you are the most fun to duel against. The tension and excitement of a true match.. like walking on a tightrope. I love that feeling. Ah, but that time has not yet come. While you are formidable, you have yet achieve the plateau in order to triumph over me. Let's set the tone for the outcome of this game, Shego. Get stronger, defeat those around you and when you have reached that plateau, we'll settle the game. I, Atma, will be eager to see your growth."
Then in a sudden rush the world around them began to crumble, Atma fading away, seemingly pleased with the transpiring events. Before she could even get a word in, Jinzen broke, finding her hands wrapped in gauntlets. Sometimes simply listening has its own reward. She felt the connective bond, that link between the two. Deep down she knew what the deal was, and more importantly, felt much more powerful.
Graduating, Shego continued her quest for knowledge by signing up with the Sanbantai, deeming it the ultimate path to bettering oneself. She took to heart Atma's words, and through constant communication knew her canvas well and was ready to paint. Spending centuries with the division, she poured through doctrines past and present, pushing past ethical and moral boundaries. Experiments done in secret - gone horribly wrong, twisting others for the worse. Pain, terror, the emotional burden that comes along the path had shocked the woman numb to the point where it ceases to phase her.
In the wake of Gin's betrayal, Shego took the mantle of taicho, restructuring, fortifying, and re-purposing the internal mechanics of the division. It would act as a central hub for intelligence and information, collecting and processing data on everyone and everything in Soul Society and beyond. Currently she remains in position as head of the Intelligence and Information department, deploying the necessary measure to ensure the right people and populace are correctly informed whilst indulging in personal projects.

The raging flame, whose lapping tongues but a moment ago had threatened to scorch the underbelly of the sky, had regressed to wisps of smoke unfurling hypnotically in the cool breeze. A man, a veteran of countless campaigns, lies half buried in smoldering debris with limbs entangled with those of fallen friends and foes, his pallid complexion masked in the grey and crimson of ash and caking blood. He stares with glazed eyes at clouds drifting lazily across the dusk sky, his head swimming in the mingled smell of rusted metal, burnt foliage, and death.
The faint whistling of the wind is a soothing song compared to the horror-filled shrieks that accompanied the sickening sound of flesh and bone giving way to tempered steel. The man knows that his time is near, and with his departure, death can finally rule supreme over this ravaged battlefield. Most would consider it a blessing for a warrior to have lived this long, but not him. Living has meant enduring the torment of blood-smeared memories of comrades--friends--falling one after the other. Let it end, he prays, his consciousness fading slowly but surely with the setting sun.
The sharp, distinct snap of bone breaking underfoot ends the hours-long silence, jerking the man back to reality. Opportunistic Hollow here to scavenge the battlefield, he thinks with renewed alertness. If they were to find him in this defenseless state, there would be no reprieve. His loathing towards the vile creatures reignites his will to survive. With clenched teeth, he musters all remaining strength in an attempt to move his legs, but they fail to heed the call. Defeated, he allows his head to fall back to the ground with a soft clunk, his breathing now more labored than ever.
The footsteps draw nearer, thudding out a slow but elaborate rhythm on the charred sands. His experience tells him its a large entity -- perhaps here to feed on flesh. Despite knowing very well his dwindling life force could no longer sustain the desire for self-preservation, with the same battle-honed instinct that has allowed him to survive till this day, the man fumbles for the hilt of his zanpaktou with a leaden hand.
The footsteps draw nearer still, and with a final, decisive thud, the entity comes to a standstill, drawing breath deeply as if perceiving the aftermath by smell rather by sight. From the peripheral of his hazing eye, the man spies a towering woman in flowing robes hosting a network of energy the likes he's never felt. A gasp escapes his lips. Careful to avoid detection, he shifts his head slightly to more fully behold this unannounced visitor. He finds himself locked in a gaze with large, fiery eyes burning with intelligence, glaring back at him with aurelian pupils that probe into his soul, sensing his confused emotional state.
Her black hair flows pliably in the wind, striking a contrast with her hulking frame that looked like it would bend not even to the fiercest storms. But the more startling on her person--a devious maw of fearsome design, concave, razor sharp teeth, as if bracing to bite the very fabric of reality itself. Fear gives in to marvel as memories of evenings spent by the fireplace as an academy student mesmerized by former comrades fantastic fables of the woman, the almost mythical being, resurface.
Could this truly be the legendary woman, sent to guide him on the journey to the afterlife? Touched by what he interprets as a final gesture of grace from his revered Divinity, tears well up in his tired, deep-set eyes. A few breathy words are all he can manage before the sound of scuffling footsteps and chinking of armor in the distance disrupts what he had hoped would be his final moment of peace.
"Look, there's Shego! Over there!" an excited voice echoes across the airspace. With an agitated sigh, the woman identified as Shego hoists her zanpaktou, eyes dilated in anticipation of the interlopers. There is a brief moment of stillness—serenity, even—in the air. Then the woman's dormant zanpaktou awakens with an intensifying crackling sound as a static charge builds up, sending lashing tendrils of energy dancing furiously up and down along its length. "Stay on your guard!" an authoritative voice yells out mere seconds before Shego rears up and unleashes a barrage of energy with a deafening thunderclap. Although the discharge is but a warning, the approaching figures frantically raise their arms in defense.
The flickering brightness from the lingering charge reveals them to be a small contingent of young adjuchas. No older than when he first began his journey and most likely no wiser, observes the man, their reckless over confidence striking a nostalgic chord within him. Sensing no merit in a confrontation, the mighty woman pivots, turning her substantial mass around in one fluid motion, impressively enough dislodging the man from the debris and on to her broad shoulders. Then, in a brilliant thunderous dash, left the stunned aggressors behind in a wake of spark and dust.
