Sex: MALE | sexual orientation: Heterosexual | Race: Vizard ALIASES:Avrizinth, Azz, The Architect of Light AGE:404 AGE OF APPEARANCE:26 SQUAD:N/A RANK:Freelance
FACE CLAIM:DEATH NOTE - L HEIGHT:6'0" WEIGHT:160 Lbs APPEARANCE:Avri possesses a particularly bland appearance. His black hair extending to just below his ear, his bangs extending slightly below eye-level, framing either side of his face though covering most of his right eye. Although possessing the appearance of a young adult male, he has developed prominent rings beneath his eyes, akin to those whom have suffered from chronic bouts of insomnia.
His standard attire varies based on the situation. When acting as a Shinigami, he wears the standard Shinigami garb, having never fully forsaken the ideals and ultimate purpose of their order. When acting as a civilian, Avri vastly prefers to wear a standard, black suit, feeling that it best embodies the characteristics of a strong leader. His eyes are possess an utterly dull pure black coloration. When donning his Hollow mask, his eyes change appearance, instead becoming red with three black tomoe which orbit around the pupil. He keeps his zanpakuto sheath mounted on his lower back, for quick, immediate access.
LIKES: -Training -Shinigami -Women -Games -Books
DISLIKES: -Hollows -Liars -Onions -Insubordination
NEGATIVE TRAITS: -Arrogant -Stubborn -Merciless
POSITIVE TRAITS: -Quick Witted -Devoted -Sympathetic
EXTRAS:Avri was always a warm person. He possessed an outgoing nature and attentiveness to others that many envied. He was kindly and easy-going and absolutely loved people. It was always in his nature to be an extrovert. Though at times, particularly in combat, he could be considered detached or impersonal. Avri carried a certain air about him when it came to combative affairs. He considered himself very impartial to them, dichotomous to his standard demeanor, and though once more in opposition to his standard set of beliefs, Avri understood the necessity of conflict. He was never one to have any kind of emotional reservations, and was always open to making new connections and meeting new people. He was also extremely gregarious, preferring the company of large groups to solitude, relying on emphatic communication to maintain his positive perspective. He was considered extremely sympathetic to the problems of others, friendly to a flaw, and exceptionally cooperative when it was necessary.
His reasoning skills were always something he considered one of his most beneficial traits. His capacity for abstract thought, and extreme intelligence. He took immeasurable pride in his desire to learn and his ability to learn so quickly. Unlike most individuals, he didn't suffer from an inability to handle abstract or complex issues, and had no issue with any form of academia, ranging from the sciences to the arts. Avri was a walking encyclopedia of historical knowledge. His knowledge of legends and lore ranges from religious beliefs, heroic tales, folk lore, to even the more 'academic' of such mythos, like the knowledge of the Shinigami, the existence of the Hollow and their subspecies as well as many of their deeper histories. He had a frustrating habit of over-explaining things, even if a person clearly understood the concept, often using very strange analogies to compare situations and scenarios. He looked upon ignorance like a disease to which knowledge is the only remedy, and he took no greater pleasure than enlightening.
His emotional instability, however, did not reflect the most wonderful of his attributes. He was considered very reactive, emotionally. He was strongly affected by his feelings and though he wasn't easily upset, the negativity resultant from saddened states were usually long-lasting, as he perpetually reflected on those things. Despite this, he was extremely mature (in some regards) and was more than capable of facing reality calmly. His emotional instability was more a result of his conflicting sets of personal beliefs and the burden of responsibility and power. Those with the power to affect change carry the weight of taking the actions that result in said change, and the consequence of whichever direction that change takes. He struggled consistently with this paradigm.
In accordance with his extroverted nature, Avri had an extremely dominant personality. More than anything he was an assertive and competitive person. His desire to win, or to be the best, often overtook his sensibilities, and when given the opportunity to prove his superiority, he almost always take advantage of that situation Though a dominant personality, he was deferential and paid a heavy amount of respect to those he considered his superiors, or those with any earned position of authority. He often tried to avoid conflict if the situation permitted it, and was just as often accommodating to the needs of others.
Like most youthful adults, he carried a huge liveliness with him. He was an extremely animated character, spontaneous and always enthusiastic. There are those that described him as a cheerful, happy-go-lucky individual. Though he was impulsive, his feelings often times having gotten the best of him, and he had difficulty keeping his tongue in check. This went hand in hand with his explicit nature. He was prone to chatter and gossip, and his language and humor was generally far from child-friendly. It was far more likely that he blabber or communicate incessantly than remain silent in even the most dire of situations. This doesn't, however, mean that he was not without his moments of restraint. Like any other person, he suffered through his own bouts of introspection, focusing more on internal struggles in some moments, than on what was currently occuring.
As someone with a considerable consciousness in regards to the rules, Avri was extremely conscientious and dutiful. There are those that described him as moralistic, and while this was true, it seems to only apply on a personal level. In many ways, he can was considered a nonconforming individual. Though he understood the need for specific rules, he did at times feel that peculiar rules were irrelevant or ridiculous, and ignored them entirely, often time to his own peril. He was also an extremely self-indulgent individual, who enjoyed the greatest pleasures life had to offer, namely: women, games, and women.
As an extreme extrovert, Avri was possessive of a peculiar degree of social boldness. He was extremely uninhibited and was known to say or do exceptionally explicit things in the most formal of scenarios. Despite this, he was sensitive and was considered a refined individual. An aesthetic with an extremely sentimental side, who despite his intellect, often relied on his intuition instead. Though sensitive, he was an objective individual who agreed with the ideals of Utilitarianism, simply put, the greatest good for the greatest number of people, regardless of the price.
His demeanor, however, did seem to cause a wavering in his vigilance. He was often extremely trusting and accepting of others, rarely suspicious or skeptical unless given good reason. It was this that often leads him to be unsuspecting, and ultimately led him vulnerable to the betrayal that led to his demise. He was abstract and imaginative, possessive of a peculiar naivete that made him appear absent minded, or absorbed in his ideals. While there is a great truth to this, he was still a solution oriented individual, grounded in what was practical. Sometimes what is conventional is necessary, and sometimes the needs of the moment force us to ignore the wants of our emotions.
He was someone you could consider genuine, forthright and extremely naive, but at the same time extremely worldly and astute. He carried his apprehensions, and was extremely prone to guilt and self-blame, particularly when he felt like he was the one who illicit-ed particular events that resulted in a greater amount of harm or suffering than good. Despite his issues with guilt, he was often unworried and confident in his own abilities, self-satisfied and assured that he could and would, ultimately, affect things towards the greater good.
As a young male, Avri was both extremely self-reliant and open to change. While he respected traditional ideals, he believed in growth. He was a very liberal individual, who believed in flexibility and the freedom to choose. In his mind, the greatest and most absolute manifestation of freedom, is choice, and it serves as the greatest tool to affect the cause of what is 'good'. He was resourceful and analytical, although critical of himself he was often capable of adapting to change, and thriving regardless of his environment. He could also have been considered a compulsive perfectionist, often exacting his will power on any tasks he performed with the sole desire of being the best. Unlike most perfectionists, however, he was flexible and impulsive; not only able to tolerate disorder, but also able to thrive in it. He was extremely careless in regards to social rules, and extremely self-sentimental. He was also extremely impatient and driven.
While Avri was often overtly agitating or immature, he was nothing short of honorable, though he had no qualms about stabbing an enemy in the back. If he gave his word, he kept it without attempting to escape from his duty. All oaths were sacred to him. He believed that when one was gifted with power, they have an obligation to protect the ones around them, and to use that power to further the state of the universe in the most positive direction. It was this desire to protect, to be a Hero, that was responsible for his unique characteristics.
WEAPONS:N/A ZANPAKUTO:Name: Seiken, Excalibur
Sealed Form: Excalibur is an average looking katana in every aspect, save for a series of mysterious runes that adorn the length of the blade. Its hilt is forged completely of gold, with an electrum finish.
Spirit: Regarded as an extremely narcissistic and egotistical entity, exacerbated by a short temperament and patience, exceptionally insufferable to all but the most steadfast individuals. Though, generally considered character deficiencies, Excalibur considers himself the paragon of existence, a flawless example of what every entity should strive to become. He often makes use of the word 'FOOL' as a means of interruption or more commonly, to discredit those who Excalibur views with disdain and contempt, which due to his extensive and overwhelming superiority complex is practically applicable to everyone.
In addition to this, Excalibur propagates numerous nonsensical and confused rants about his mythical exploits, often times bursting into songs. He's known to be critical, and to chastise all those around him, as well as demand that Avri observes several strange 'provisions'. Despite all these negative characteristics, Excalibur is a noble entity who is utterly dedicated to aiding Avri in his cause. His attitude towards the Togabito and Hollows are manifested as nothing but utter contempt and disgust. He carries a mutual respect and appreciation for Avri, despite his often disparaging remarks towards him.
Inner World: Excalibur's Inner World is manifested as a massive mountain, with large steeply inclined cliffs and multiple caves. It is explained that there are roughly one-hundred separate, identical caves sprinkled about the mountain, the location of Excalibur's changing every time one re-enters its realm. Within each cave is a long winding path, which after extensive navigation, eventually leads to a singular, enormous set of delicately filigreed wooden doors. To gain entrance, one must simply knock, at which point the doors will swing open, allowing the visitor inside, a powerful gust of wind quickly ushering them to the side of a beautiful azure pool.
In the middle of this enormous body of water protrudes a large central dais, upon which is situated a tiny golden throne. It is upon that throne that Excalibur sits. Arranged around his throne are a series of silken pillows, and lovely faeries that seem to disport on the water's surface, offering him sweetmeats and fruits on trays of gleaming silver. Palm fronds from nearby trees seem to bend down obligingly, in attempts to fan his brows, while a soothing and sensuous melody seems to play hauntingly from everywhere at once. However, the moment someone reaches the dais, all these things vanish, leaving only Excalibur upon his tiny throne.
Atop the mountain sits an enormous cathedral of golden light. It is within this cathedral of light in which Avri's Inner Hollow is kept imprisoned. Upon entering, the landscape of the cathedral becomes exceedingly haunting. Bones, blood and viscera seem to coat the entire surface of the floor, while streams of blood seem to run thick, flowing down the walls and through the crevices of the floor. Toothy, jagged edges of crystalline stone seem to jutt from the floor in random locations. Should one reach the end of the seemingly never ending stairway that leads to the top of the Cathedral, they will find a simple doorway. Inside this simple, standard room sits Daraku, opposite a large bookshelf containing hundreds of random books, and windows which seem to display the scenes and landscape the viewer most desires.

The direction of the technique may be changed a maximum of (3 + 2 per post spent charging) per post.
INNER HOLLOW: Name: Daraku Appearance: A solid black mass with white eyes, standing at exactly the same height and weight as Avri. Its appearance is essentially an exact mimicry of his own, as if it were a corrupted reflection of himself coated in some kind of inky-black substance. He always appears to be wearing Shinigami garb, as he feels that is the most ironic attire he could possess, and enjoys making a mockery of Avri and his beliefs by doing so.
Personality: He is cold, possessive and reclusive. Extremely inattentive and harbors an intense hatred for most living beings. His reasoning skills are, however, admirable, and despite his psychotic persona, he is extremely intelligent. Daraku is also exceptionally unstable and incredibly arrogant, feeling that Hollow's are the highest form of evolution that one could ever hope to reach. Despite his dominant personality, he is an introvert who does actually enjoy reading books. For him, they serve as a tool to escape not only his prison, but also the torment of what he is, and the pains that are associated with that. It is within these intellectual similarities that Daraku and Avri are able to connect with one another.
Given his love for literature, and the way he affectionately called his devouring of others "freeing" them, it seems as if Daraku actually possesses some crude form of sympathy for other creatures. He seems to regard the cycle of rebirth as cruel, and that by usurping the souls of others, he frees them from the vicious continuum of life and afterlife, death and rebirth. He is critical and easily agitated, but also capable of intricate analysis.
Though he'd never admit to the fact, Daraku finds great peace in his incarceration. The feeling of helplessness and the endless amount of free time allowing him to ponder his existence, and come to reflect on the existence of others. In combat, he is exceptional precise, preferring to quickly end the life of his opponent as opposed to maiming or tormenting them.
Hollow Mask: Avri's mask is an ornate white mask glossed with a light purple tint, that covers the entirety of Avri's face and a majority of the top of his head. The mask is marked with a very strange design, consisting of a ripple-pattern with three tomoe around the center; two of these tomoe acting as the mask's eye-holes. Whilst equipped the hollow reiatsu causes Avri's eyes to radiate an eerie red glow.
Stat Upgrades: +2 HOH, +2 SEI*
