Leto has a toned, slender body and a peach skin tone. Her hair is golden-blonde, fairly long, and layered a lot so that it looks slightly spiky. Her irises are an eerie dark orange colour and she has slitted pupils, similar to that of a cat. Her golden Hell's chain is wound tightly around her left arm, starting at her wrist and ending at her shoulder, covered by the sleeve of her coat.

She is nearly always seen wearing a long-sleeved, red coat with a hood. The coat is long enough to reach the backs of her knees and sports tattered, frayed edges. A material reminiscent of black fur adorns the ends of the sleeves and lines the rim of her hood, which she rarely ever wears. Underneath it, she wears tight-fitting black pants and a dark grey sleeveless shirt with intricate golden insignia on it. In addition, her wrists, ankles, and feet are wrapped in dark grey bandages. Aside from the bandages, Leto wears nothing on her feet. Upon the palm of each hand, Leto has dark red ink tattoos of what looks to be arcane circles of some sort.

On her right arm, Leto wears a golden gauntlet that reaches up to her elbow. It does not cover her entire hand, only a diamond-shaped protrusion covering half of the top of her hand. It is made entirely of gold and appears to be attached somehow to the Hell's chain that is wrapped around her left arm. It is not visible - aside from the protrusion over her hand - when Leto is wearing her cloak.

Lines of gold also criss-cross Leto's neck; a choker of sorts. In the centre, a sword-like pendant hangs down, reaching her clavicle. It is commonly mistaken for a cross.

The way she is dressed, along with her demeanour, give Leto a very regal and noble appearance.

-Leto has a complete disregard for the safety of others, and in some cases, herself. She will destroy entire areas without even giving a second thought to the death she may have caused.
-condescending; Leto believes herself to be better than everyone else. Any arguments to this fact she immediately declares invalid. She believes that the people who assume such things don't know what they're talking about.
-cold; Leto does not have the capacity feel certain human emotions, thus, she cannot understand or emphasize with them.
-conceited; Leto believes herself to be a king, and before that, a god. In her mind, she is above all. She cannot recognize anyone else's authority, and anyone who doesn't recognize hers is instantly marked for death.
-arrogant; Leto believes that she cannot be defeated, so she often takes unnecessary risks in battle.

-very alert, calm, and confident; allowing for intelligent responses even in extreme situations.

As the Sin of Pride, Leto genuinely believes herself to be superior to everyone, in terms of strength, and just about everything else.

Leto is repulsed by people who are weak and make no attempt to better themselves. Though she hates weak beings, she will not even touch someone weaker than herself unless they threaten her, or obstruct her path. She has a code of honour that she cannot deviate from. When it comes to the other sins, Leto tolerates them, but has no real emotional connection to any of them. She seems to be the unspoken leader of the group, but she never gives them orders. It would be a disgrace to her if she had to ask for help, from anyone.

Leto generally exudes an aura of calm and confidence, and her expression is almost always impossible to interpret. She overestimates herself, and almost always underestimates her opponents. Though she may never appear to be on-guard, she is always ready for an attack. Her centuries in Hell have taught her that such is the only way to stay alive.

Charon- A four-foot long double-edged sword with no guard. Red cloth is wrapped around the hilt and the blade is a steely dark grey with several scratches upon its surface, revealing a light silver colour underneath. She does not carry it around with her, but she can summon it upon will, similar to some kind of technique that involves telepathy.

Jigoku no Rensa ("Chain of Hell" in Japanese)- A medium-sized golden chain is wound tightly around Leto’s left arm, starting at her wrist and ending at her shoulder underneath of the sleeve of her coat. This chain cannot be broken by any known means and somehow never falls from Leto’s arm. She often uses this chain to block melee weapons, but it has no apparent use other than this.

Adamant Claws- Though they only look a little sharper than the nails of a normal human, Leto’s fingernails are extremely sharp. They are as hard enough to cut through rock without breaking.

Hands of Fate --OR-- Vectors- Shadowy, semi-transparent "arms" that materialize around Leto at will. They do not seem to be connected to anything, but only have a range of three metres from the user. When materialized, they vibrate at a high frequency, which is what makes them visible. Because of these vibrations, the vectors can easily slash through wood, flesh, bone, and even rock. These vectors can also be used to throw objects and block projectiles. In total, Leto has four vectors. Coincidentally, these vectors cannot be materialized when the user is in a state of pain.

Description: Leto can create tiny sparks of a black and gold flame-like aura using her Reiryoku. Manipulating the Reiryoku, Leto can direct it towards her opponent, at which point, the spark expands and attempts to engulf the enemy, before exploding outwards. Depending on the amount of Reiryoku used and whether or not it hits directly, this explosion can be fatal.

Description: After a period of charging, Leto can release a jet of black Reiryoku from her mouth. The longer it charges, the stronger it is. If she chooses not to charge it, it will only be a thin jet.

Description: Leto is engulfed in a bright golden aura. It's quite bright to look at, and can easily burn anything within a two-foot radius of the user. Although it can be used defensively, Leto usually discards her weapons and fights hand-to-hand when using this technique. This is so that she can force her opponent into the range of her light and cause large-scale damage to and possibly blind them. This lasts for 4 posts.

Description: By manipulating her Reiryoku, Leto can form a multitude of objects. For example, she can erect walls to block attacks, or create weapons to attack with. The larger the object she creates, the more Reiryoku she uses.

description: The true form of Pride. Leto uses this when she is pushed to her limit, which is a very rare case. Sometimes, she will also use it as a means of boasting, to make her opponent feel powerless in comparison. The only other way she would be forced to use this, was if she was somehow forced to feel an emotion she had vanquished previously.

The first thing that changes is the surrounding area. Anyone within a quarter-mile radius will be able to see these changes, although to anyone farther off, the battlefield will only look like a tower of yellow light, with black static crackling around it. However, the people within the quarter-mile radius with Leto will see something completely different. The ground becomes a pitch-black, shiny surface, while the space will be filled by fleeting, hyper-realistic images. Common motifs include static, similar to what one would see on a TV, blazing orange-coloured eyes, white smoke, and silhouettes of a variety of bladed weapons, which are either stuck in the ground, or raining down from the heavens. There are puddles and even rivers of thick black liquid scattered throughout the realm, and some of the very same liquid drips from from the sky, seemingly out of nowhere. The liquid increases in volume as Leto's ability to maintain the realm wears out.

The sky turns to an opposite colour scheme; with black clouds and orange space. In the sky hangs a sun that seems to be forever trapped in an eclipse. While the new realm created by Leto may seem chaotic, it never interferes with her form. Even through a barrage of illusory blades or a screen of static, Leto remains fully visible, as does her opponent. It should be noted that nothing in this space has mass; meaning that even if a blade silhouette hit someone, it would only phase through them harmlessly. However, Leto can make any of the falling blades solid by touching them. The images portrayed in this miniature realm are only aesthetic effects, which are subject to change depending on Leto’s mental state.

Once the realm has been created, no one else may enter from the outside unless she permits them too. Only those with a higher REI than Leto can enter from the outside without permission; all others will be thrown backward.

Leto herself goes through some changes. Black feathered wings sprout from her back. This gives Leto the ability to fly at high speed. She can create black flames with a flap of the wings; these flames have a corrosive property that burns organic material much faster than regular flames; the burning sensation is also significantly more painful. Burns from these black flames cannot be healed naturally, although they can be healed by Kidou or the like. Other changes in appearance include a black “X” marking that spreads across Leto’s entire face, and her eyes turning dark red with black sclera. The red cloak that Leto is always seen wearing is shredded even more, and turns black. What’s left of the coat hangs around her neck and flows out behind her like a cape, almost appearing to float, casting a malevolent shadow on anyone down below. Her arms are left bare, save for the dark grey bandages wrapped around her wrists, reaching up to her elbows, and the Hell's chain around her left arm, which turns black. He gauntlet disappears, and a black crown of thorns sits atop her head.

Her personality also goes through some changes. She becomes even more arrogant, claiming that she is "God" in this realm. She underestimates everyone severely, thinking of them as nothing more than people who were sent to entertain her. Most of the time, she will stay in the air and use ranged attacks so that she can look down on everyone else while she engages them.

Leto’s weapon, in stark contrast to the general dark theme of her true form, is a great sword of light. The blade is double-edged, with jagged edges on both sides, and is as long as Leto is tall. The blade’s surface exhibits a strange sheen, almost bright enough to blind people who stare at it for long enough. The entire weapon itself appears to be made of a type of crystal, presumably diamond, and has no guard. The name of this blade is Vindex, which has many implied meanings: claimant, defender, champion, protector, avenger, or deliverer. Why the Sin chooses to wield such a weapon is unknown. But there is never any time for her opponent to ponder it. If this form is used, it means that only one person will come out of the illusory realm alive.

Description: A dense, compact ball of pitch-black Reiryoku appears above Leto. Until it is cut in half, nothing will happen. However, when it does get cut, all the condensed Reiryoku is let loose and it explodes. The explosion can cover a good quarter-mile radius, and has a slight magnetic pull. As opposed to flames, this explosion is only raw spiritual energy, so the impact is more potent than the burn. Leto will usually detonate the core from a distance, but when she has no choice, she will use it close-range, as a suicide finisher. Getting caught dead centre of the explosion with no defensive measures taken ensures death.

Description: Pouring nothing but pure Reiryoku into the blade of Vindex, Leto can set the sword ablaze with violent golden light. The blade's surface becomes even brighter than before, and it's cutting capabilities are drastically increased for two posts, before the user has to fire off all the golden energy lest it explode. Since Leto pours all of her energy into the blade, the swings become that much more potent for a period of time, but even Vindex cannot contain so much energy for very long. Once the blade has reached it's limit, Leto swings Vindex downward, releasing the remainder of the Reiryoku towards her opponent in a large, arc-like slash. Oddly enough, the energy has a very cold feeling upon impact, and can even freeze enemies in place. If someone were frozen by this attack, they would be held in place not by ice, but by a strange crystal substance (not diamond).

Description: Usually while flying through the air, Leto powerfully flaps her wings and forces all of her Reiryoku outside of her body for a split second, causing a shock wave with a fifty-foot radius. This shock wave can stun earthbound and airborne opponents, allowing Leto an to follow up with one of her more powerful attacks.

Description: Leto can perform this technique from the ground or the air, but she prefers to use it airborne so that she can watch her opponents struggle. To initiate this technique, Leto raises her left arm, and the chains around it begin to glow and spasm. Behind her, there is a nearly-blinding image of many intricate glowing gold patterns stringing together. Together, they all form a 2-dimensional wall behind Leto. This wall of light looks to reach all the way to the top of the sky and to either side of the realm; a quarter-mile up and a quarter-mile across. As soon as the user says the word "Unlimited", all of the hundreds (200-300) of blades in Leto's realm become solid and begin to glow brightly. Then Leto swings her upraised arm down, with her palm facing the ground, and the swords begin to move around at a quick pace, alight with Leto's Reiryoku. She can control 5 of these blades at a time with precision, the rest just fly around at random. However, at any time she can switch control of one blade for another. Also, there is a 2-foot safe zone in front of the light wall, where the blades cannot go. Because of this, Leto usually does not move while performing this technique, because if she steps out of the safe zone, she would get caught up in the storm of blades.

Once 2 posts are up, the light wall slowly fades and the blades all drop to the ground and disappear.

Leto was said to be the name of Apollo's mother. It is believed that upon assuming a female form, Leto named herself after her past mother. The name "Pheonix" stems from what she believes to be her resurrection, as she captured the throne of God once more, becoming the first Sin. Many believe the last name to be spelled wrong, though this is how, Nero, the one who gave Leto her last name, spelled it.

Leto has several past incarnations aside from Apollo. The most notable being when she ruled a large empire as a man by the name of Terra. This Terra was a tyrant, through and through, and he thoroughly believed that the weak should bow to those who had more power than they. Eventually, Terra's constant abuse led the guards themselves to turn on him. He was stabbed to death in his sleep. As a plus, he was initially consumed by rage, and sought to take revenge on the traitorous guards. But as one of the dead, he had a lot of time to think; he couldn't interact with other people anymore. He knew deep down that he had been afraid of what would happen if he went soft. He had enemies. His empire needed to be the best, the strongest, impenetrable. The only way that would happen was by a rule of absolution and fear. But he had gone about it the wrong way.

Weeks later, Terra was absolved and taken in the Soul Society. What happened afterwards was as expected, several journeys through the cycle of rebirth.

In her next memorable incarnation, Leto lived as a human by the name of Kera in Europe back in the 1400’s, during the Renaissance era. Her first name is the only thing she can remember from back then, and it is the only thing she has left from her time spent as a human; though she does not recognize it anymore. Everything else is a distorted mess; she can only remember flashes, and they disappear too quickly for her to grasp. Because of this, Leto can never grasp the meaning of “happiness”, “friendship”, “love”, or “passion”, as these are all human emotions. Every second, she feels like there’s something she really needs, but she does not know what it is. She fills the void with power. Even when she was a mere Togabito, she fought constantly, because when she was fighting, she could forget everything. She got stronger and stronger, but still, she was never satisfied…

As a human at the age of ten, Kera was an orphan, her entire family killed by the plague. She was the only one who had not succumbed to it, and she had no idea why. Even before, she had never gotten sick. She hated it. Watching the ones she loved die while she herself remained perfectly fine. She could do nothing in the face of the Black Death. She was powerless; she couldn’t even protect her little sister from it. Nothing anyone did could save her sister from that fate. Kera could fight people, but she could not fight death.

Kera sat vigil for days after her family died. It was almost as if she were guarding their bodies in case they woke up. Deep down, she knew. They weren’t coming back. She just needed some time to comprehend the situation. No amount of crying or moping would help anything, she realized after a week. And at that very moment, she stood up and walked out the door, not taking anything with her and not looking back. She didn’t know where she was going or for what reason. She was just going to live. However, all she had to her name were the clothes she was wearing, and a small, ornate dagger that she had received from her father. It was an odd kind of gift for a man to give his daughter, but they were a different kind of family. Nonetheless, Kera treasured this dagger, and she never went anywhere without it.

On her travels, Kera soon made a friend. One who was in the same situation as her, with no family to go home to. After that, the two traveled together, never daring to get separated.

Back in that era, hollows (dubbed as “demons”) ran rampant; attacks were frequent. One such demon attacked the two, and in the confusion, they were briefly separated. At one point, when it looked as if the Hollow were about to kill Kera’s friend, Kera came from out of nowhere and took the fatal blow. Immediately after, the Hollow was scorched by a bright golden light, and then encased in a large amount of crystal. No one could tell how it had happened, not even Kera. As it so happened, Kera had a Fullbring attached to her dagger called “Honour of the Pure”. Her will to protect her friend had caused it to manifest at that exact moment. However, it was too late. After shielding her friend, Kera slumped over. She couldn't stay standing anymore. She didn't quite know why, but everything was warm, and she just wanted to sleep. Her happiness at being able to save her friend, and finally do something useful was immeasurable. Finally, she had been able to save someone she cared about. She remembered thinking that maybe she wasn't so powerless after all.

Moments later, the gates of Hell opened in the sky above. It had come for the Hollow, who had been a criminal in life. Leto, who had fallen after defeating the Hollow was drawn into the gate as well. Being practically unconscious, there was nothing she could do to resist its pull; she wouldn't have tried, anyway.

Whatever she may have expected, it wasn't this. Not Hell, especially after what she had just done. She died from her wounds shortly after being dumped in Hell, and was bound to a Hell’s chain, which would all around her left arm. Because of her innate spiritual potential in life, her Reiatsu was unusually strong. This earned her all sorts of unwanted attention. She soon became incredibly strong through constant fighting and dying. She harboured extreme resentment for being taken to Hell despite being a reasonably good person. Needless to say, she carved a path of destruction through hell. For decades, she waded through rivers of her enemy’s blood, soon even getting strong enough to dominate the Kushanada.

Leto's entire existence was based on hatred. Her hatred of the other Togabito, who she knew were former humans like her, her hatred of those humans with their weak emotions, her hatred for whatever sick high entity - or lack thereof - that had condemned her to this fate. She had power. She was the best there was, the strongest. No, she was God, and Hell was her domain. And yet, she still felt powerless. She could destroy all she wanted, she could dominate the world and it wouldn't be enough. Leto couldn't figure it out; something was missing. By now, she had forgotten all but snippets of her past lives. She could never go back to being a human. This arid plane was where Leto would stay until the end of time. With no other viable course of action, Leto was forced to hone her skills to the utmost.

Centuries later, Leto met a Togabito named Nero. Rather than running away or fighting the girl, Nero admired her. Sensing that he was different from the others, Leto allowed him to accompany her. He was her first "pet". He had heard rumours about Leto, and soon gave her a last name, "Pheonix", to represent the manner in which Leto had repeatedly come back from being killed. After one particularly fierce battle, Nero was killed and dragged into the depths, leaving Leto alone once more.

She carved out her existence and reputation in Hell and became its apparent “ruler”, become widely known as the embodiment of Pride, the deadliest Sin. Soon, other strong Togabito rose up to join her, forming the 7 Sins.

For a few moments, the girl said nothing, even though it was obvious that she had heard Leto's question. Leto did not like waiting. She was about to demand that the girl speak, but it turned out that she didn't need to. She somehow knew what Leto was, it seemed. Leto only stared down at her, not even trying to conceal her contempt for this being in front of her. She hated humans to begin with; they were all weak and disgusting creatures. And now here this one was, making an utterly weak attempt to condescend Pride. Even though she had considerable power, it wasn't enough. Did she have a death wish? Leto would have asked that very question had she not sensed that the human below had more to say. Her tactics thus far had proved amusing enough, so Leto would allow her to speak before her fate was decided.

She didn't even bat an eyelash when her courage was questioned. She had her reasons for not venturing into the human world, the main one being boredom. She had no need to justify herself to such a boorish creature. "Fate...?" she murmured, questioning the statement. Did this human intend to kill Pride? Laughable. And from there, it just got better. God bestowed power? At this, a smirk crossed Leto's features. "Girl... if you had gotten power from me, you would not be so weak." she quipped, implying that Leto was the one true God. The humans still believed in deities these days? That higher power that they claimed guided them? From what she had seen, this God they claimed only led them down a path of destruction and war. But Leto could dig that; she cared nothing for humans and would have no qualms about watching, and even inspiring their imminent self-destruction. She knew better than anything what "God" really was; a concept created by man to inspire fear and promote order. Soon enough, this girl would see it too. She seemed to have some pride herself; that would make this all the more better.

Leto almost could not contain her amusement at the next statement. The human wanted to cleanse Hell of all the Sinners. She even dared to categorize Leto with the rest of them. She really did want to die, after all. Did she even realize the imbalance that it would cause to "cleanse" Hell? In her mission to protect Earth, she would only end up destroying it. That was if she even could accomplish her goals. Leto did not care for any of the Sinners, but she would not allow somebody else to reign over them. Then again, it would be quite exhilarating to watch this human destroy her own race. It was too bad that she was set on annoying the Sin. Had she behaved like a human should, Leto may have allowed her accomplish this cleansing, just so that she could watch them all burn. But since she planned on starting with the God of Hell, her mission would be stopped prematurely.

And she still spoke. What would Leto have to gain by ruling over this vile place? She had ruled over part of it millenia ago, but it didn't interest her now. Lording over humans? She would rather destroy this world. She could do it, too. But for now, she only wanted some entertainment. Still, the complacency and conviction this human spoke with was astounding. Most humans were terrified of the Sin, rendered motionless by her presence. This one was putting on quite a show. However, the different subjects of the conversation were all quite humourous, and the last one was the icing on the cake. Leto did something she hadn't done in years; she laughed. Well, it was more of a humourless chuckle; Pride wasn't one for over-the-top emotional displays. Still, it even surprised her that she was so amused by a human.

"No such thing." Leto said, still with a hint of laughter in her voice, letting the human know that supreme conquest of earth wasn't in her agenda. It wasn't even worth her time. "So what will you do now, human?" Leto did not know the girl's name. And yet even if she had, she would not have used it. They were all the same in her eyes, names were not necessary. "Will you attack me? Does your life really mean so little to you?" she said with a sneer. The smirk from earlier was still there, but it didn't reach Leto's eyes. She still looked fairly lax, not bothering to take a fighting stance. To top it off, she didn't appear to have any weapons on her person. She looked defenseless, but it wasn't so. She could react on a moment's notice. If this human dared attack the God of Hell, she would die without even inflicting a single blow.
