It was rare for Kakashei to get any time to himself. He was usually kept tied in his office, filling out papers and dealing with his duties as captain. So when he realize that he was all caught up in his work, he was a bit taken back. It had been so long since he had any time to rest and relax that he honestly did not know what he was going to do for a pass time. Which is why he decided to first go outside and work from there.
Exiting his barracks/office he took a moment to breath in the air outside. It was nice having some time to himself. it was nice being able to take a moment to breath in the air outside and to look at the sky with out any stress baring down on his shoulders. "I guess I can go for a walk, I could really use a good spar though." he stated while pacing forward to the front gates of his barracks. As he pace he would interact with some of his subordinates, stopping every once and a while to engage in some light conversation. Once he finish speaking to them, he told them to get back to work and continued onward to the gates where he took his exit from.
Stepping out to the roads outside of the barracks, his gaze shifted to his left and right before going to his right. "What to do? What to do? There`s rarely never anything to do here but work. Then again, I guess I could head to get a drink, it has been a while since he has been able to get a good drink and someting delicious to eat. Now, which way was it again? I believe if I head this way I should be able to head there." heading to his left he slowly pace towards his destination. As he went he passed by other shinigami, giving them each a slight nod as he pass them. It was not long before he made it to the Druken Koi.
Being greeted by a female server, he was escorted to a table outside and ask what he wanted. "I will have some of your finest sake and todays special with a side of sweet dumplings." he ordered as the female nodded and headed off to the back. Before he sit, he removed his sheathed zanpakuto from his waist and place it to the side of his chair while taking his seat. Some minutes later the female returned with his sake. "Thank you." he told the female as she turned and headed to another table for a moment. Picking up his sake, he took a short sip and set it back onto the table. Some minutes later the female returned with his meal and dumplings "Thank you, again." he stated while picking up a stick of dumplings and bringingit to his lips. He quickly began to eat his meal while looking at the area around him. "Hmm, delicious as always." he murmured while chewing a piece of dumpling.

It was a day like any other, at least it was to Kaishi. But one would wonder how he would know that when he spends the whole day sleeping in his office. It was one of those rare days where he didnt want to sleep, and it was definitely not a day to do work. He knew that if he went to the barracks, the captain would no doubt force him to finish all the paperwork that had been piling up on his desk. Hopefully, none of the members of the 11th division were walking around and spying on him. Even if that was the case, he was sure that he had enough authority to send them away, or at least scare them into submission.
As he walked down the streets of the Seireitei, his hands in both of his pockets, he winked at every girl that had come his way. Some of them give him dirty looks while others enjoyed the attention. Girls love a good shinigami, especially one with a high rank. As he thought more about rank, he thought about how it was to be a captain. Of course he wanted to become a captain because of the power that came with it, with everybody calling you with honorifics and such. He smirked to himself as he thought about the name "Captain Kazuhiko". But on the other hand, the amount of paperwork that would be acquired. Just thinking about it bummed him out, and quickly discarded the thought.
The more his thoughts roamed, the more his stomach growled. He didnt eat anything this morning so maybe it was time. He knew that there was a restaurant around here, mainly because he was known to pick fights and get thrown out 9 times out of 10. Maybe this time he would lay off the sake.
He entered the establishment and could see the worried and disappointing looks as he walked in, which only made him laugh. His server gave him a nasty look and escorted him to his seat. "Ill have anything with meat." Kaishi was ready to have a feast. As he looked around, he saw one of the captains, and decided that he would make himself present. He walked over and sat down abruptly, giving him a slight smile. "Captain Haruko."

Shaku reached into the basket of paper for the next form to read and sign, he was surprised when his hand came up empty. Looking around his immaculately clean office for any hiding paperwork or shuffling officer with more work. Pleasantly surprised to find neither Shaku leaned back. Ever since he had become the Lieutenant of squad three Captain Kaede had done nothing but dump paper work on him, paper work the Captain should have been doing. Breathing a deep sigh He stood, stretching his legs and patting them to get the blood flowing through again. It was a beautiful day, and Shaku deserved to leave his small sparse office.
Trudging through the streets he contemplated the various things he could do today. He could go do a tea ceremony at the club, or watch flowers fall as he wrote poetry, or maybe even play a nice game of Go. He smiled around his tusks as his mind wandered down the myriad of paths he could take today. The happy thoughts were all shattered by the grumbling of his stomach. He was hungry. Well, the day was his, might as well find a place to have a meal.
Has he walked through the city he discovered a small tavern by the name of the Drunken Koi. Thinking it as good a place as any Shaku sauntered over. Squeezing his over seven foot bulk through the door, he looked around the establishment, growing slightly perturbed at the unknown setting. Then he breathed a sigh of relief, other shinigami, a Captain and a Lieutenant. He slowly crept his way to their table, careful to not knock anyone over, and stood just beyond the table. "Capten Haruko, Luten Kaissshi," He spoke over his tusks. Sitting down on the floor the giant looked at one of the servers, "Meat pleassse." He smiled, his smallish tusks giving the image of a grinning demon. Turning back to the other Shinigami Shaku tilted his head in greeting, "How are we thisss fine day?"

Kakashei was already moving along to his second stick of sweet dumplings. They were honestly his favorite treat. He spent alot of his lunches sending a officer out to pick him up a few sticks of sweet dumplings. Now of course he was alot more hungry than usual, it had been some hours since he has ate today, so had no problem ordering two different meals. Plus, Sweet Dumplings pratically counted as a side dish or dessert, which is why he loved them so, he was a sucker for sweets. Finishing his second stick of dumplings, he place i back nto its plate while picking up another cup of his sake, taking down a few sips of it.
Placing the cup back onto the table while moving on to his last stick of dumplings. Eating the four one by one, he slowly place the sticks upon the table before moving onto his meal, which was mainly rice, shrimp, vegetables, and beef. Using some of the sweet and sour sauce upon the table, he poured it on top of the meal and then mix it in. "Man I was hungry, this is delicious." he stated while using his chop sticks to bring a bundle of rice, vegetables and shrimp to his lips and into his mouth. Slowly he chewed upon the food while casting his gaze off to the area surrounding him. Eyeing the other officers for a quick moment, he took a few more bites of his meal before downing it with a few more sips of sake.
"I`m glad I have been able to finally have some free time. This had been a very relaxing day, it has been a while since I have been able to sit and enjoy a delicious meal. Now of course I hope I will be able to do some painting later on, I should be able to, most likely after I finish this and leave. I just hope that I`m still inspired to paint something of substance." speaking in thought for a moment, he continued chowing down on his meal, taking bite after bite of his meal. The sweet and sour sauce really did bring the flavor out in the food, made it less dry and bland as it usually was. It wasn`t loong before he down the rest of his sake before placing the empty cup upon the table. It was not long before the leutinent of Squad Eleven made his arrival. Surprisingly enough, the boy wanted to speak with Kakashei, the leutinent even remembered his surname. Kakashei on the other hand, he had a bit of difficulty figuring out the leutinent`s name. Stalling a bit, he took four quick bites of his meal before he finally spoke. "Hello there. It is good to see, Leutinent.... Kazuhiko. It has been a while, How`s Captain Lazuli?" he asked while forming a light smile and getting a refill of sake.

Kaishi was in a rare mood today. Usually there was a scowl on his face and often in the mood to fight someone, anyone who would give him the slightest change in a glance. But he calm and collected. Maybe it was because he was looking forward as training today or maybe it was just being in the presence of a shinigami was higher rank and it shaped him up. He remembered the last time he was rude to Captain Lazuli, things did not turn out good for him. But whatever it was, something told him that it wasnt going to last very long and would probably be back to his old original self tomorrow. He might as well enjoy it now.
He smirked at the captain, as he could tell that he was having trouble with his name. He wasnt going to lie, it irked him. If he was going to be the strongest in the Soul Society, many people needed to learn his name. But he could only mask his stubbornness with a light chuckle. "She's been good. Though she has been loading him with so much damn paperwork, its annoying." Smirking, he witnessed his waiting coming over to give him his sake. "Finally" He said with such delight in his voice. Though he had to be careful that he didnt overdo too much, or else he would have to pay for damages, again.
As he was about to start another sentence, another familiar entered their presence, and nodded his head towards the fellow lieutenant. "What's up Shaku?" Looks like they have a party going here. The only thing that they needed were some girls. "Looks like this is the hangout spot of the day." His chuckle was deep and saw his food was coming. He felt his mouth watering, smelling the plate of food and realizing what it was even before it was set in front of him. "Oh yeah, Yakitori, my favorite." He has been here so many times, they probably remembered what he liked.
He drove the sticks of chicken into his mouth one by one, probably leaving his co-workers worried about him. He stopped himself before the stick of wood got stuck in his throat. "So how are you guys?" |

The ground creaked as Shaku shifted his weight. The floorboards were good wood over pounded earth, so the likely hood of him falling through the floor was minimal at most. As he moved his cloak and legs in a more comfortable position Kaishi Kazuhiko's waitress came and dropped off his seasoned chicken. Kazuhiko was already half way through his sake. Shaku didn't understand how people could drink it, the flavor was so much more watered down than Shochu. But to each his own, flavor is flavor and liquor is liquor.
Shaku nodded at Kazuhko's last statement, "Good. Finisshed work early. All Kaede doess iss sskip it to go play." With that he sighed. "But other than, can't complain." Shaku leaned back slightly, using his hands behind him as a support. Staring at the ceiling he watched the grain of the beams. "Glad it'ss ssilent, esspecialy after Aizen." Thinking back at all the trouble the rouge Shinigami had caused, all the death and destruction of the those battles. It reminded the giant to much of his old life on earth. Another Aizen would never rise if he could help it.

While waiting for a reply, Kakashei continued eating more of his meal. Using his chop sticks to pick up bundle after bundle, it was not long before nearly half of it was finish. He was lucky they gave such a large bowl, he may even splurge a bit and by a bowl of noodles. He hasn`t really been eating much over the past few weeks, so it was perfectly fine if he decided to ask for another meal to feel his stomach. Plus, he love tasting delicous food after not eating it in such a long period of time.
Taking a break, he raised his cup of refilled sake and raised it to his lips. Downing half of it rather quickly, he set it back down and look forward to the leutinent as he answered his question. It was a bit amusing, hearing that Captain Lazuli gave the leutinent the job of feeling out her paper-work. The captain was lucky to have a leutinent to make do alot of the tiresome work of filling out paperwork. At the current moment Kakashei had lack a leutinent, though he expected to receive one sooner or later. Hearing that they were moving shinigami around, like the leutinent of Divison Two becoming the leutinent to the Captain Commander. It was a bit odd to hear, but it was good news for the leutinent, she is probaly ready to even be a captain if the Captain Commander wanted her as his leutinent.
"Haha, That sounds like something Captain Lazuli would do, I would do the same if I had a leutinent, believe it or not. I`m sure you know why, filling out paper work can be very tiring and It ties me up and confines me to my office." he sighed a bit while running his fingers through his hair. Oddly enough, this day of relaxation had made him calmer than usual. He was usually a hard ass and was rather cruel, but with no work, he was alot more calmer. If he wasn`t, he would of ignored the leutinent and not speak to him when he was address. Yeah it would of been a jerk move of him, but that was usually how he was. There was very few ways of making Kakashei calm, usually only sleeping and painting could do that.
Picking his chop sticks back up, he went back to eating his meal while the leutinent began to speak with other officers. Not getting involve, he continued eating his meal until it was finish. Dropping his chop sticks down into the bowl, he drunk down the last of his sake while looking around for the waitress. Once he saw her, he raised his hand and motion for her to come. Coming right over, she ask him if he wanted the check, only to be surprised by him asking for a bowl of beef ramen and another side of sweet dumplings. Now of course this made him look like a pig, but he honestly didn`t care. Look at him, he was young and fit, he had the right to splurge a bit every once and a while. "Hmm, I can`t believe I`m still hungry, I had expected the meal to fill me up, but oh well." he spoke in though while sitting back in his chair and looking off into the distance. It wasn`t long before the waitress brought back his order and headed to another table. Leaning forward, he pick up his chop sticks and began eating his ramen.

Kaishi continued to eat his sticks of chicken, downing them like there was no tomorrow. He should have asked for a double order since his first meal was already gone. He let out a loud belch that would let the other customers know that he was here. He then grabbed a cup of sake and gave a large gulp. "One" He thought to himself as he set the cup down. He had a tendency to drink a lot more than he could handle, which results in another personality to come out of him. A mindless, child-like monster rampaging through the streets in a drunken terror, causing mass hysteria as he yelled obscenities throughout Soul Society. Of course that is what everybody has told him.
Of course Captain Haruko would find his troubles amusing. It was clear that Captain Haruko did not like to deal with paperwork as well. But wasnt it the job of a captain to do paperwork? And why did the 11th squad have so much paperwork anyways? All they did was fight, eat, and go to sleep. But it was probably all from property damage. He gave a small chuckle to the captain. "Which is exactly why I dont want to do it. Its way too time consuming and it overlaps into my training time." He then had a thought. What if he were to give all his work to the 3rd seat? What was he doing that was so important? His devilish grin appeared plastered on his face.
As the waitress came over and took his place, he asked for another helping of yakitori, this time a double order with a full glass of sake. He gave his attention to his fellow lieutenant as he talked about Aizen. It was a taboo subject around Soul Society and it was a wonder how the restaurant didnt jump in arms and kick them out, but Kai wasnt the one to be afraid of sensitives topics like this. "He was lucky that I wasnt there, or else I would have eradicated him from the earth." He gave a hearty laugh.

The dark-haired Visored had just about settled into his position on the couch, his weight sinking into the cushions and his thoughts seeming to flow out of his head and through the slightly-opened window that his eyes were fixated on, when another figure appeared, catching him completely off-guard. The Reiatsu signature was relatively small to his, so he didn’t perceive a threat, but even the smallest of threats can become huge when they catch a target off-guard. Thus, Hidane reacted poorly and flung his body to the side, almost completely off the couch itself. He gathered himself afterwards, glancing back and he thought to himself, "Damned waitress"
"Sorry about that." he began to say as he turned himself over onto his knees to begin to get up. Then he got a good look at the waitress.. He stood up straight, scratching the back of his head gently to check for damages from his fall; feeling none, he breathed a sigh of relief and continued. Hidane picked up his coffee and began tilting the glass in a circular motion. If he had to label a reason for doing this, it was a distraction so he didn’t get too nervous and get caught up in his own words while talking to the waitress, He had talked to plenty of people before, whether it be for professional reasons or casually, but this had probably been the first time he had been this concerned about saying exactly the right thing. He wondered why, and then she asked her question, and he wondered; maybe he liked her? A little bit, sure, but it was different from other people he’d met. He grinned slightly, his eye slim as he stared at the swirling coffee in his glass. He smiled a little, blushing. "A beautiful young woman spending her time as a waitress? I can't believe this." Fortunately, the waitress had left before Hidane had said anything else that might've embarassed him. He took a sip of his coffee, chuckling at the words that came out of the mouth of the Shinigami. "He was lucky that I wasnt there, or else I would have eradicated him from the earth."

MIranda had been looking everywhere for her captain when she heard this. Indeed it was a tabuu subject, which is why the Lieutenant of Squad 5, now tired and easily annoyed from doing an abnormal amount of paperwork. She was starving and wanted to eat, drink , and relax. She wanted to have some fun, despite her usual discipline. She followed the voice back to its origin, and.... surprise, there was her captain. Well, it was nice to see him trying to enjoy himself.
Miranda pulled out a chair at their table for her to sit down, but removed her zanpakuto from her side and her Hollow sword and placed them against the table. She waited for the stares to hone in on her as she removed her blade. if anyone here could sense reiatsu, they could sense her blade. Its reiatsu stank of hollow power and was known to set off a few soul pagers in its time. It was similar to a zanpakuto, but didnt have a released or sealed form. It simply existed. It contained a part of her soul, but it was her own soul, not a separate personality. She spotted waitress and took her order, "I want a full glass of sake, and... something else, surprise me."
With her ordered taken, she yawned exaustedly and turned her attention to the captain and the other Lieutenants. "So how are you guys?"

A familiar presence tickled at the back of Shaku's mind, and be fore he knew it he had taken his spirit energy and buried it so far into himself that he seemed to have vanished. He was still there for the naked eye, but he had locked away his energy so deep that you had to strain to sense him. It was a reflex he had gained from his years living on the outskirts of Rukongai and not something he truly thought about any more. It wasn't until his natural defenses had kicked in that he thought about the cause, hollow.
The fingers of Shaku's hands had slipped into his coat and touched the hilts of Konigreich when another Lieutenant sat down at their little table. This one Shaku didn't know of the top of his head, she had been lifted to her rank after Shaku and the paperwork hadn't made it to his desk yet. He knew it started with an 'M'. Maybe if we just keep talking someone else will say it. Shaku thought to himself, a little embarrassed that he did not know a name.
Shaku's eyes slowly crept around to find the focus of the hollow smell. When they rested on the new lieutenants area he was slightly surprised to feel the aura coming from her. Definitely going to need to read that report. He started slightly when he noticed her eyes on them, and replaying his mental video he recalled that she had asked a question.
"Alive, well," Shaku's eyes rested on the other young lieutenant, Kaishi. "That eassy huh?"

Kakashei dealt with the same issue as the leutinent, it was difficult for him to get any training done. He was always tied up with paper work, which was why he was happy to be receiving a leutinent today. He had already read up on the female, going through the paper work soul society had on her. He did not know if the female and him would clash or not, she should expect him to be rather difficult. in the sense that he will be raising his voice alot. Now of course he doesn`t raise his voice all the time, he can be relax at times and laid back, like today. "Well, alot of us aren`t able to train because of paper work, my self included. Though I do hear that we will be getting a break sooner or later from so much paper work. Well, those of us who are up to date with our work." he commented while looking around him.
He notice that the place was begining to raise in the number of shinigami. Oddly enough he could see alot of leutinents crowding the area, which was very surprisingto see. He had guess that their respective captains gave them a break or they had some free time like himself. If any case, Kakashei planned on leaving once he finish his ramen, he didn`t like crowded places, and he also had a painting to construct.
Looking to the leutinent of squad eleven, he had a blank expression for a moment as he heard the boy boast of how he would be able to eradicted Souske Aizen if he were there. In mere seconds he busted out in laughter, not even trying to hold it in while looking off to his side. A minute later his laughter died down and his gaze turn back to the leutinent. "Thank you for that, I needed a good laugh. And do not think I am discrediting your skills, leutinent. It`s just, I am positive you would of not been much help. If Sosuke Aizen could make nine or ten captain level shinigami appear as lowly un-rank shinigami and just swat them away, there is no way that your apperanc would tip the scale in our favor, not even myself or some of the other captain." now of course he was speaking of the captains that fought against Aizen in Karakura, also counting the exiled captains like Kisuke Urahara.
To think that a shinigami could attain such power to swat off some of their strongest captains, it was baffling. It was why he spent so much of his time trying to edge in training, he didn`t want such things to happen again. It wasn`t long before Miranda entered and took a seat. "Ah, my new leutinent. Kakashei Haruko, it is nice to meet you, Ms. Frost. And everything is fine. Yourself?" he question while picking up her chop sticks and continuing to eat his ramen.
