Colin glanced around from where he stood at the Garganta’s edge. The scene below him looked very similar to the last time he had snuck into Soul Society – too peaceful and filled with a false sense of security. It was laughably easy to enter this haven for the world’s dead. He rather wished he could have come back and caused havoc for his own entertainment. Instead, he was here on his Queen’s orders. And that….well, that made it much less entertaining. He had to come for the sake of appearances, but he really had no desire to fight. He was a seducer, not a warrior. So as he looked out over what seemed to be the outskirts of Soul Society, he debated where would be a nice quiet corner to tuck himself away in to avoid battle for as long as possible.
With a sigh, he stepped out of the Garganta. He had known an attempt at alliance would not end well. There was simply too much bad blood between the Shinigami and the Hollows. That didn’t mean he should have to suffer for it. But he had signed up for the gig, after all. One did not become an Espada simply for the perk of having all your food brought to you. You had to earn your rank. He supposed this was the time to “earn” his rank, then. He shook his head and sonido’d down to the trees. He paused on the top of one towering oak and glanced around again. He could feel his fellow Arrancar engaged in battle or seeking out contact – the Tercera in particular seemed to be in rare fighting form today – and he could also feel Shinigami approaching his position. He let out another sigh and dropped to the earth, bending his knees to absorb the shock of his landing. He might as well get the show on the road. He flared his reiatsu, alerting anyone nearby that there was an enemy to be fought.

Lucien frowned, walking at a fast pace towards the outskirts of the Soul Society. He was heading there to confront the Espada advance. His Nodachi clutched firmly in his hand. Honestly, he was annoyed at the old man, the Soul Society did not need to be plunged into war, especially with the emergence of the 'Sins'. Even though they were being dealt with by a human organisation, full of Quincy's, fullbringers and what ever else they could get their hands on, they nonetheless remained a threat. One that the old man should have taken into consideration when he attacked the 'peace party'.
Stopping as he approached one of his fast response teams, he considered whether it was worth bringing them to a most certain death. Just then, a large burst of reiatsu could be felt, alerting the himself and the fast response unit.He turned to the unseated office in charge of this fast response team.
"Hiroshi, take the rest of the fast response unit back, inform Rukia that she is in charge until I get back and that she is to prepare for an imminent attack. Also, alert the other Captain's."
"Yes, sir." Hiroshi and the fast response unit shunpo'd away, back towards the Seireitei to prepare for war. Lucien sighed, and shunpo'd towards the enemy. He had sent the troops back on purpose, bringing them to help battle an Espada who's spiritual pressure far outweighed his own was reckless. There is no need for pointless slaughter. Still, there was a familiar tingle of something he couldn't quiet decipher building it's way around his body. He mused that it was most likely adrenaline, also a little fear. Only idiots charged into battle with no fear.
Reaching the outskirts, he came out of his shunpo and took a stance that represented power. Looking dead on at the Espada, Lucien realized this intimidation technique would have no effect what so ever on this cute guy. Nonetheless, he grinned, pointing his nodachi towards him. His was about twenty of so feet away from Lucien.
"You know, if it weren't for the obvious intent to kill...I'd say you were lost." He took a few steps closer, closing the distance cautiously. The Espada was now ten feet away, 'Enough for me to make an impact with the first hit' Lucien mentally prepared himself.
"Either way, I believe in knowing my enemy's name before the battle. I am Lucien Reinhart, Captain of Squad 13." He bowed somewhat, "and you are?" *Blue = Lucien's thoughts

As Colin stood up straight, he took stock of his surroundings. There was minimal underbrush and the trees were high enough that the lower branches wouldn’t pose too great of a problem. And even if they did, he could always clear the area with a few well-placed Cero. He wondered if he should venture closer to the center of Soul Society – towards the Seireitei or whatever it was called. But that would increase his chances of finding a fight. He sighed. “Draghail,” he murmured as something flickered at the edge of his vision. Turning his head, he saw that an opponent had found him at last. And he wasn’t particularly impressed by what he saw. The Shinigami immediately assumed a stance meant to convey strength and confidence, but Colin suspected there was little substance behind it.
“You know, if it weren’t for the obvious intent to kill…I’d say you were lost.”
He smirked as the Shinigami spoke, mimicking its own grin. He wouldn’t say it was a killing intent, per se. He simply had no intention of running from this fight. But he could see how the Shinigami could mistake the two – the poor simpleton. He made no response to the Shinigami’s comment, watching as it cautiously moved closer to him. He studied its figure and stance, noting that its nodachi was pointed at him and that it was somewhat attractive. That silvery hair in particular looked like it would be fun to grab hold of and yank hard. He wondered if the Shinigami would enjoy it if he did – and if it would taste exquisite when he was devouring it afterwards. The thought caused his smirk to broaden and his hand drifted down to gently stroke the handle of Estampido Supersónico. He’d never eaten a Shinigami soul before.
“Either way, I believe in knowing my enemy’s name before the battle. I am Lucien Reinhart, Captain of Squad 13. And you are?”
Colin scoffed. He carefully pulled Estampido Supersónico from its holster, letting the long braided leather bullwhip uncoil as his right hand gripped the handle firmly. “Captain of Squad 13, you say? My, my. I am simply quaking in my boots.” His left hand took hold of the leather braid, running along it slowly. “Yes, simply quaking to have such a pretty plaything crushed prettily beneath my heels. You do not need my name, Reinhart. You may simply call me ‘Master’ or ‘Incubus.’ My playthings do not refer to me as anything else.” As the last word left his mouth, he dropped the leather braid and flicked his right wrist – sending the bullwhip’s tip flying towards the Shinigami’s face.

"Either way, I believe in knowing my enemy's name before the battle. My name is Lucien Reinhart, Captain of Squad 13, and you are?" Lucien swiped his nodachi down by his side, relaxing from his stance of 'power', having deemed it pointless, the Espada had more than likely seen through it, or deduced that the power he, the Espada had, was greater than that of his own. The very thought annoyed Lucien, such arrogance and ignorance. No matter how powerful one is, they should never underestimate others, the unexpected can always happen. Still, he finally raked his eyes over his would be opponent, studying each and every inch. The Espada was much taller than himself, Lucien frowned more if that was possible. Truth be told, Lucien liked taller men, always had, but enough of that. The Espada clearly weighed more as well, meaning his strikes would pack a little more punch, still, nothing Lucien could not handle. His hair stood out to Lucien, and he was slightly envious of it, it looked perfectly conditioned. Looking over his face Lucien had to admit he was beautiful, add to that the formfitting attire that hugged every inch of him and Lucien almost wished he weren't the enemy, it had been a while since he had some fun. The Espada drew out his weapon, bringing Lucien out of his own perverse thoughts and back to the here and now. He raised a eyebrow at seeing the weapon. He had fought against many, many people, and yet, this Espada was the first to wield a whip, let alone a bullwhip. He noticed that his weapon was clutched firmly in his right hand, he was going to attack, soon, either way Lucien prepared himself. "Captain of Squad 13, you say? My, my. I am simply quaking in my boots."Lucien almost scoffed at the Espada's ignorance. The certain mockery in the mans high clear alto voice only strengthened Lucien's resolve to kill him. His hand clutched his nodachi hilt tighter, he was ready to go, and judging as the Espada's left hand ran across the leather braid of his weapon, so was he. The Espada spoke again, causing Lucien to frown. "Yes, simply quaking to have such a pretty plaything crushed prettily beneath my heels. You do not need my name, Reinhart. You may simply call me ‘Master’ or ‘Incubus.’ My playthings do not refer to me as anything else."'Master? Incubus? Bah! Don't be absu-' Lucien never go the chance to finish his line of thought as the Espada dropped the leather braid, flicked out with his right hand - sending the bull whip's tip towards his face. Had it not been for the many years of training the bullwhip would have hit him square in he face and probably, actually scrap that, definitely would have killed him. Lucien's eyes widened as he raised his nodachi in an upwards slash in an attempt to parry the attack. The parry failed somewhat, resulting in the bullwhip's tip clashing hard against his blade and pushing him back ten feet. With more energy than he wanted to use, he sidestepped whilst pushing off the bullwhip, sending it to his left. The Espada drew back the whip. Lucien's adrenaline was pumping, there was some serious power behind that simple strike, it worried Lucien somewhat. Inspecting his nodachi subtly, not wanting to the let the Espada know his first attack had startled him so. The blade was still shaking from the impact, and there was a slight numbing sensation making it's way up his arm. 'Impossible!? Is he really that powerful? can he honestly cause this effect with such little effort?' He mentally sighed, he needed to get into this fight. Lucien shook his head, his smile turning to a grin, as he regarded the Espada again, swinging his nodachi to rid the numbing sensation. "I admit, I had expected such cheap tactics from you people...and as for calling you master, I think not, because believe me, if it ever got that far, you would always be on the bottom." As soon as he finished he raised his free hand, pointing it towards the Espada, grinning further. "Ye lord! Mask of flesh and bone, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Truth and temperance, upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws. Hado 33 Sokatsui!" A torrent of blue spiritual energy roared from his palm and towards the Espada. Lucien held back on the amount of power he placed into it, not wanting to exert himself so early on into the fight. As soon as the Hado had hit it's mark, Lucien swiped with his nodachi and charged forward, when he was just two feet away from the Espada he attacked, intending to slice him in half from the waist.

(OOC: This is Colin's thoughts.)
Colin smirked as he pulled Estampido Supersónico back to him. The Shinigami had parried the attack rather well. He expected as much from a supposed captain of the Gotei 13. As the Shinigami’s blade shook slightly, Colin felt his smirk widen. Apparently it hadn’t expected him to be quite so powerful. If only it knew; there hadn’t been much force behind his strike. For the time being, he was testing the waters – he wanted to see just how far he could push this lovely little brat before things grew boring. If it was anything like his last…“acquisition,” then it might take a bit.
“I admit, I had expected such cheap tactics from you people...and as for calling you master, I think not, because believe me, if it ever got that far, you would always be on the bottom.”
Colin chuckled, looking the Shinigami dead in the eyes as it pointed at him. It was such a fiesty little thing. He would fix that soon enough. No one topped him unless he permitted it.
“Ye lord! Mask of flesh and bone, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man!”
Colin tilted his head slightly. What exactly was this Shinigami doing? He assumed there was some point to the random words, but he couldn’t begin to fathom what. He’d never fought one before, so he was unfamiliar with their spiritual attacks – their kido – so the idea of incantations was completely foreign to him. He cautiously began pooling energy in his left palm in preparation for a cero as the Shinigami finished its shouting.
“Truth and temperance, upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws. Hado 33 Sokatsui!”
His eyes widened slightly as a torrent of blue energy leapt at him. He leapt to one side, lifting his hand to fire his cero at the incoming attack. The two attacks clashed, the Shinigami’s overpowering the weak cero with surprising ease. However, the cero did deflect the energy – turning its course just enough to avoid a direct hit, though the attack did graze his left arm. He frowned as he felt the fabric of his jacket and sleeve burn away, leaving his skin bared but unmarred. His eyes locked back on the Shinigami as it charged him. His lip curled in a slight snarl. As if I’d let you get away with that kind of stunt.
He was quite fond of this outfit and it irritated him that this brat had damaged it at all. As the Shinigami approached, Colin moved forward to meet it – stepping into the arc of its strike as the Shinigami swung at his waist. He continued moving forward, his right arm coming up to partially parry the strike with the handle of his whip. The blade bit into his side and he winced slightly. His left hand curled into a tight fist and he shifted to the left – pushing at the Shinigami’s blade with his whip handle to pull it out of his side. As he moved he threw his fist at the Shinigami’s gut, pulling the punch at the last minute so that it would only land with half-strength.

Lucien raised an eyebrow as he watched the blue torrent of spiritual energy leapt at him, waiting for it to hit it's mark. He had picked up the tiny hint of surprise in the Espada's eyes as the blue torrent leapt towards him. 'Seem's Mr. Espada is a virgin to Kido attacks...or it seems that way.'
His eyes twitched slightly in irritation, as the Espada leapt to one side, throwing his left arm up and proceeding to discharge a cero. 'Sneaky bastard!!' He snarled and swiped with his nodachi, chagrining towards him.
The cero he noted, was noticeably weaker than his own kido as said kido easily overpowered it, which surprised him. However, he was quick to figure out it's purpose and decided to pick up his pace a little. The cero had managed to affect the kido's trajectory, allowing the Espada to narrowly avoid a direct hit. Lucien frowned, but that frown quickly turned in to a lopsided grin, his eyes noticed the entire left sleeve and jacket had been burnt off, completely. 'Good to know I can remove his clothes with out much effort...but still, he remains unharmed, I must try harder.'
The Espada's eyes locked with his own, it appears he had figured out Lucien's tactic and did not seem to happy about that, if the snarl on those perfect lips was anything to judge by. Lucien shook the thoughts from his mind and noticed he was within striking distance. Grinning, he swung, intent on cutting the Espada in half from the waist.
With his blade in mid swing, he piqued an eyebrow up, surprised and a little confused, the Espada stepped into the arc of his strike. He was not surprised then, when the Espada's right arm came up to partially parry his strike with the handle of his whip. Lucien smiled when his sword, despite the partial parry, bit into the Espada's side, though not as deep as he thought, nonetheless his eyes noticing the slight wince, Lucien felt a smirk on his face.
Lucien was about to say something witty but noticed at the last second, fluid motion from the Espada, wiping the smirk from his face. Lucien's eyes tracked the motions, the Espada's left hand curled into a tight fist and his body shifted to the left. With the motion, the Espada pushed at Lucien's blade with his whip handle to pull it out of it's side. As he moved, the Espada threw his fist into Lucein's gut.
Lucien's eyes widened in complete surprise as he felt the fist land in his gut. Pain ripped throughout him, within seconds he could taste blood in his mouth, more than he would have thought. He legs shook just a little from the force. Lucien turned wide eyes to the Espada, taking a brief second to regain composure. He knew for a fact, he could not take too many of those or this fight would be impossible to win. 'Dammit! Just like his strike, so much power!! Hell, I bet the bastard's holding back!'
Lucien narrowed his eyes on the Espada, the wide eyes gone. Being this close he could see the Espada a lot better, his face especially. He regarded the Espada once more, grinning, liking what he see's, especially those lips...Lucien wanted a taste, a bite and much more. 'I guess I won't kill you Espada.'
"You know, I think you've been a naughty boy, perhaps once I beat you, I'll whip you with that whip of yours...till you beg me to stop." As soon as he finished, Lucien spat some of the blood in his mouth, onto the Espada's perfect face, a feat in it's self considering the height difference. He then aimed a fist into the Espada's face, having to jump a little. He ignored the searing pain in his gut from the sudden action. 'It appears he's done a lot more damage than I had thought, I will need to limit damage to that area lest I be beaten in a single blow.'.
Deciding staying close to the Espada was therefore dangerous, he lowered his free hand over his gut, a makeshift shield. He then, with his prowess in Hoho, appeared behind the Espada, his Nodachi swinging down on the man. "But first, to make you my bitch and have you on your knees!!!"

Colin smirked as the Shinigami’s – Reinhart, was it? – eyes widened. Ah, to be underestimated by his enemies. It was a feeling he both despised and relished now that he had power. It made them easier to toy with and all the more delicious to consume in the end. His smirk only widened when Reinhart proceeded to grin at him – as if it wasn’t in severe pain. He could only wonder how much damage he could have caused with his full strength. For now, he would just have fun.
“You know, I think you’ve been a naughty boy, perhaps once I beat you, I’ll whip you with that whip of yours...till you beg me to stop.”
He snorted, not even remotely impressed – though it was amusing to think of this tiny thing dominating him. Such cute fantasies it had. When it spat in his face, the bloody spittle landed on his cheek near his lips. His tongue flicked out to lap up the blood, sadistic pleasure filling his gaze. He hadn’t drawn first blood, but he could almost imagine the taste of inevitable defeat in the other’s blood. The smirk never left his face as he easily blocked the fist aimed at his face with a simple swipe of his free arm. When the Shinigami disappeared from his line of sight immediately afterwards, he briefly wondered where it had gone. Then he heard the peculiar whistle of a blade slashing through the air.
“But first, to make you my bitch and have you on your knees!!!”
“Tch.” There was an audible crack as Colin sonido’d out of the range of the blade. Coming to rest several feet to Reinhart’s left, the Arrancar laughed. “What was that, Reinhart? You’ll make me your what?” With another cracking sound, he appeared an arm’s length away on the Shinigami’s right. He launched a high roundhouse kick at Reinhart’s shoulder, bending his knee moments before impact so that his right leg harmlessly passed over the captain’s body. His body continued to twist as he lowered his leg and swiped out with his left elbow at Reinhart’s head. He still avoided actual impact, though he stretched out his fingers so that his nails might graze against Reinhart’s cheek. As his body finished turning he launched a flurry of rabbit punches at the Shinigami’s head, pulling his punches at the last moment so that none of them landed. After a dozen or so punches, he sonido’d away once more so that there was about twenty feet separating him from Reinhart. “You’re not going to have a hope in Hell of dominating me if you keep holding back. I don’t bottom for little bitches like you.”

As Lucien appeared behind the Espada, his nodachi slicing throw the air. Lucien felt that he had a somewhat slight advantage, but that was ruined as even his own ears could pick up the peculiar whistle of his blade slicing through air. His advantage gone, he decided to speak, make a threat that he more or less thought would serve as humour rather than it's actual purpose.
"But first to make you my bitch and have you on your knees!!!"
"Tch."
Before Lucein's sword could connect with the Espada, there was an audible crack, the Espada disappeared only to reappear several feet to Lucien's left. The Espada laughed, proving Lucien's suspicions that his threat would most likely prove humorous.
"What was that, Reinhart? You'll make me your what?"
Lucien felt oddly intimidated for the briefest of seconds, the Espada honestly did not believe he was a threat. Before he could retort, the Espada disappeared with another audible crack, appearing at arm's length to Lucien's right.
So quick was the Espada, that all Lucien could do to avoid the high roundhouse kick aimed at his exposed shoulder, was to lean back. However, much to his relief the Espada seemed to bend his knee at the last second, letting his leg pass harmlessly over him. His body continued to twist, and as his leg lowered he swiped out with his left elbow, aiming for Lucien's head.
Again, Lucien stepped back defensively, but again the Espada seemed to avoid actually hitting him, instead reaching out with his fingers to slightly graze his cheek. That he did feel, and it left three scratch marks on his cheek, the tiniest trail of blood dribbling down.
As the Espada's body finished turning, he lashed out with a flurry of rabbit punches, pulling each of them at the last second to avoid hitting Lucien. He continued to tale defensive steps back, disliking at how easily he was being pushed back by fake punches. After a dozen or so rabbit punches, the Espada put to use it's use in sonido, there equivalent to flash step. Appearing twenty feet away from Lucien.
'Huh, I never thought there sonido would rival, hell even surpass the flash step... Ass hole is playing with me, time to make him take me seriously.'
"You're not going to have a hope in Hell of dominating me if you keep holding back. I don't bottom for little bitches like you."
Now it was Lucien's turn to scoff. 'Time to make you take me seriously ass hole.'. Lucien stabbed his nodachi into the ground and proceeded to take of his captain's coat, letting the wind carry it to the side. He was over protective of his haori, and did not want it to get all damaged during this fight.
He then made a slow play of removing the top half of his kimono, revealing his muscular chest, free of any scars except for and obvious mark on his stomach from the punch. He then stretched, looking eyes with the Espada.
"Perhaps, you are right, maybe I do not have a hope in Hell of dominating you... but you have given me no reason to go all out on you. All you have proven thus far is your ability to not hit a target, impressive." He mockingly clapped, then reached for his Nadachi, pulling it from the ground, continuing to speak.
"Ooh, I wouldn't count the punch to the stomach, that one was on the house, it will be a miracle for you to hit me there again. Ya know, I'm surprised at how you became an Espada with your ability, perhaps you got on your knees and put to use that mouth of yours." He then started to walk casually towards the Espada, his nodachi resting on his shoulder. His eyes never left the Espada's.
Lucien knew for a fact that the punch was not on the house, and the pain, he had somehow managed to ignore was slowly coming back. Another punch their and there would be problems.
"I'll tell you what, Incubus, if you can put me on my ass, I'll go Shikai, do it again, and hell, I'll even go Bankai... Do it a third, and I'll get on my knees for you." His gaze narrowed and he began to abandon the notion of trying to dominate the Espada, but instead, beating him. With this new resolve, he felt more confident.
He eyes picked up something in the Espada's which caused him to grin. "Ooh, you like what you see, Espada?" He chuckled, and then with flash step, appeared five feet to the Espada's right, his sword raised horizontally in front of him. He then generated a yellow orb, which widened itself along the length of his nodachi.
"Hado 32, Okasen!"
As soon as he finished, it fired out horizontally, in a wide arc of yellow energy towards the Espada. The hado impacted with something, creating a cluster of smoke and an equally large explosion, forcing Lucien to flash step away, perhaps the Espada counted with a Cero. During the explosion, Lucien missed the audible crack of the Espada's Sonido, but however spotted him some twenty feet from the hado attack. He seemed to be in mid cough, most likely from explosion and cluster of smoke, and, some mild damage to his right arm. Pshh... if you could even call it damage.
Lucien laughed loudly, perhaps a little premature, considering he had most likely only dug his own grave.
"Seriously?! This is the best you have to offer me, Incubus? Tch." He shook his head, his sudden over confidence starting to control him. He then flash stepped to the Espada's position, appearing by his side, his sword in mid swing.
"I hope you like the ground, because you're about to kiss it!!" A pain seared through his gut, almost intolerable, and it most likely showed in his eyes, his gut, from the earlier blow, was protesting against the sudden movements. However, being a stubborn guy, he ignored it, getting rid of the look of pain from his eyes, he proceed to attack the Espada, swiping hard and fast as his body could.
With his free hand, during the flurry of strikes and swipes, pointed his index finger at the Espada, "Hado 4, Byakurai!". A concentrated bolt of lightning shot forth from his index finger and towards the Espada. 'So much for not going all out on this guy..' He thought.

Colin watched patiently as the shinigami removed its haori and let go – allowing the wind to blow the garment aside, presumably out of harm’s way. Now there was an idea. Perhaps he should fight naked in order to avoid further damage to his outfit. It would also have the added bonus of being a distraction to Reinhart. Tempting, but he didn’t like rewarding impudent pets. Oh, it was also so kindly removing the top half of its kimono. Colin licked his lips, enjoying the blossoming bruising on the muscular torso. It was big and turning a lovely shade of dark purple – in some places, it even looked black. It was erotically beautiful and looked deliciously painful, despite Reinhart’s continued bravado. The Arrancar was glad he had pulled the punch – he might have broken this pet with his full strength. Pity; he liked his pets to be a bit more durable for playtime.
He was so enthralled by the bruising that he completely ignored what the shinigami was saying at first. He was more interested in creating a tapestry of bruises on the canvas of Reinhart’s skin. But as Reinhart remarked on his surprise at Colin’s position as an Espada, Colin shifted his focus to the shinigami’s words. He snapped his gaze up to meet Reinhart’s, his eyes narrowed. He pressed his left hand to his wound and smeared blood on the hand. He let a slight look of pain cross his face to make it seem as if he was pressing his hand to the wound in order to stop the bleeding – though the pain was more a twinge than anything serious and he wasn’t even remotely concerned about blood loss just yet. As the shinigami continued, he began quietly and slowly charging a Gran Rey Cero as he kept his hand close to his body and hidden by his right arm.
“I’ll tell you what, Incubus, if you can put me on my ass, I’ll go Shikai. Do it again, and hell, I’ll even go Bankai… Do it a third, and I’ll get on my knees for you.”
Colin remained silent as Reinhart continued taunting him. The only sign he’d even heard anything was the tightness around his jaw as he grit his teeth in anger. He had earned his place as Primera. He had fought and devoured and clawed his way to power. He rightfully belonged where he was at in the pecking order. And he would show this little ass where it stood in comparison to Colin. Put it on its ass? He would make it wish it had never issued such a challenge.
As the shinigami appeared five feet to his right, he calmly stared it down. He couldn’t care less what the shinigami did at this point. It was getting cockier by the minute and that would be its inevitable downfall. So he simply concentrated on the Gran Rey, firing off a simple bala to intercept the shinigami’s kido as he sonido’d out of the way. His line of sight was briefly obscured by the smoke from the explosive collision, but Reinhart quickly swam back into view as the smoke dissipated. Colin coughed slightly, his lungs trying to find clean air.
“Seriously?! This is the best you have to offer me, Incubus? Tch.”
Colin merely smirked in reply. The Gran Rey wasn’t even half-charged, but it would still be far more powerful than a fully-charged cero. He ignored the twinge of pain he felt coming from his right arm as Reinhart appeared at his side with its sword in mid-swing. Colin leapt away from the strike, having no desire to test the shinigami’s current strength even more. He’d already lost enough blood and it was ruining his outfit. But Reinhart simply followed him, launching a flurry of strikes and swipes that Colin deftly avoided. His gaze strayed back to Reinhart’s as the shinigami lifted its free hand and pointed its index finger at the base of his neck. His eyes widened very slightly as he sonido’d out of melee-range, though the smirk never once left his lips.
As it shouted, “Hado 4, Byakurai!” lightning crackled at the shinigami’s fingertip before it shot towards Colin’s throat. He lifted his chin defiantly and let the lightning hit him – wrinkling his nose slightly as it tore through the collar of his jacket and passed harmlessly through his Hollow hole. He could feel it singeing the inside of his throat, but he simply lifted up his left hand. It was wreathed in golden reiatsu that was now rapidly condensing in the center of his palm. His smirk broadened. “Gran Rey Cero.” The cero blasted towards the shinigami, creating a sound similar to the high winds of a tornado. The trees trembled at its passage and if it didn’t hit the shinigami, Colin doubted that anything else would be more than splinters of wood and shredded leaves.

"Hado 4, Byakurai!"
Lucien was surprised when the Espada lifted it's chin defiantly, letting the lightning hit him. You cocky son of a bitch!! - However, all his thoughts stopped when the hado tore through the collar of his jacket, passing harmlessly through his hollow hole. Gah!! Give me a break!!
Seeing this only angered Lucien all the more, frowning, he pushed forward, his grip tightening around the handle of his nodachi. He still had to close some distant, the bastard Espada had jumped out his melee weapon. Just as Lucien's hado had finished passing through the hollow hole, the Espada lifted his left hand. The very fact that it was wreathed in golden reiatsu, that was all to quickly condensing in the center of his palm stopped Lucien dead in his tracks.
"Gran Ray Cero."
Lucien looked like a dear in the headlights as the Gran Ray Cero was released, blasting towards him, the sound of it so very similar to the high winds of a tornado. Lucien knew he had to think quickly, the Cran Ray Cero was demolishing everything in it's path. He Shunpo'd back ten feet, raising his free hand as soon as he came out of his flash step. No time for incantation... This is going to suck.
"Hado 33! Sokatsui!
Lucien put as much of himself into the hado, knowing that without the incantation it would have been weakened. The torrent of blue energy that burst forth from Lucien's hand was near enough twice that of his earlier version. The force cause Lucien's hand to jerk slightly, affecting it's trajectory so that instead of hitting the Gran Ray Cero head on, it was going to smack into the top half of it. When the two attacks clashed, the explosion was spectacular, while the Gran Ray Cero proved the stronger of the two, Lucien's hado had forced it to crash into the ground.
Lucien's eyes widened as the Gran Ray Cero crashed into the ground, kicking up a wave of debris of earth, the shock-wave from impact launching them forward towards the Captain. Though Lucien tried to withstand it, the force was to much, and like the debris, he was thrown back like a rag-doll.
-
Lucien did not have to think where he was, he knew he was buried underneath the debris. It was clear that this Espada might be too hard for him to handle alone.
"You're not usually this pathetic Lucien... You've let your hormones get in the way of your fighting. Pitiful.
"Takeshi, shut up... I'm not done just yet, but even so, I'm in a lot of pain right now."
"I would be surprised if you weren't... however, you still have two trump cards, Shikai and Bankai.. Teach him a lesson you whelp."
"Huh, I guess you're right. Time to get moving."
Lucien gripped his noadchi tightly with his hand, reciting his Shikai release.
"Begin the Slaughter..."
With that he burst from the debris, landing a little ungracefully on his feet. His nodachi extended an extra foot, the hilt turning black, the color of his blade turning red, a noticeable stench of blood coming of it. He swiped a few times, before he inspected his body. His torso was covered in many little cuts, bruises and the wound on his stomach hard darkened even more. There was also a giant gash on the left side of his forehead, the blood covering the left side of his face, but seemed to have stopped bleeding. His free hand that had shot the hado was badly burnt, a few noticeable cuts and gashes along the forearm. One thing was for sure, he needed to wrap this up quick, he did not know how much more his body could take.
"You know Espada, I think it's about time you told me your actual name. I'm getting awfully bored calling you Espada... huh, if you;re not going to tell me, I might just make on up for you.." Lucien Shunpo'd closer to the Espada, stopping a good twenty feet away from him. He started to walk in a circle around him, his eyes on him like a hawk. There was a noticeable stagger in his steps, and to the trained eye and ear, his breathing had gotten heavier.
"How about, The Espada Whore who Sucked his way to the top? Huh, has a nice ring to it don't you think?" He had noticed earlier, while he had mocked the way he got to his position, that the Espada's jaw seemed to tighten. Perhaps he could anger the Espada into making a mistake.
"So, Espada Whore who sucked his way to the top, are you ready to die?" With that Lucien Launched himself towards the Espada, appearing right in front of him with the aid of shunpo. Grinning a little weakly, he ignored his body's protest of moving so fast. Aiming at his chest, Lucien went for a move, his free hand protecting his stomach. He needed to end this soon.
"Precise Strike."

Colin sighed in disappointment. Reinhart had managed to deflect the Gran Rey, sending it careening into the ground. At least the impact was as devastating as he’d expected. He staggered slightly as the shockwave hit him, but he doubted it was anything compared to the shinigami. After all, Reinhart had been basically at Ground Zero. He took a few steps forward, contemplating the damage. A deep furrow had been dug in the earth by the Gran Rey and a considerable amount of debris had flown up in a beautiful wave. The shinigami had probably been tossed back like a ragdoll. The image of flailing limbs made the Espada chuckle. Fortunately, it seemed that he hadn’t killed his new toy – he could still sense its reiatsu. He waited for a bit, not particularly concerned. Even at full strength, this shinigami would cause him little trouble. It was just being annoying more than anything right now.
His patience was rewarded when Reinhart finally burst free from the debris, staggering as it landed. And man, was it in bad shape. Cuts bruises and a giant gash on its forehead had been added to the now almost-black bruise where Colin had punched earlier. It was such a frail thing. But it appeared to have finally gotten serious. Its sword had extended another foot and turned blood red. There was also the peculiar stench of blood filling the air – and it wasn’t just from Reinhart’s wounds. This was either its Shikai or its Bankai and Colin doubted it had jumped straight to Bankai. Reinhart was too cocky for that. He didn’t deign to answer as Reinhart once again mentioned its ignorance concerning his name. Colin simply rolled his eyes. He had told it before that it need only know him as Master or Incubus. He tracked it with his eyes as it shunpo’d towards him and started circling him. When it began to move from his field of vision, he gracefully turned to continue following it. He could hear its haggard breathing and its staggering gait was painfully obvious. He would have to fix it up a bit before he had his fun. It would probably break if he didn’t.
“How about The Espada Whore who Sucked His Way to the Top? Huh, has a nice ring to it don’t you think?”
Colin frowned. If it was going to insist on insulting him like this, he would have to break it after all. Weaklings had no business mocking him. He had hardly touched the thing and it was well on its way to an early grave. But as it continued, he remained silent – for now. He would educate it in a moment. He scoffed as it asked if he was ready to die. When it suddenly appeared mere feet from him, sword at his chest, he neither flinched nor made any attempt to evade – yet. He simply smiled back at the shinigami, a feral predatory gleam in his eyes. As the words ‘precise strike’ left Reinhart’s mouth, he smoothly jumped slightly to the right and watched calmly as the sword was thrust harmlessly beside his bare left arm. As the blade slipped past, he stepped forward and his hand flashed out to snatch at Reinhart’s wrist. His hand clenched tightly around the wrist before he simply let go and sonido’d thirty feet away.
“Not gonna lie. I’m rather insulted you think you can take me on with just your Shikai. You are sorely underestimating me and that kind of arrogance will get you killed. But I suppose there’s just no helping it. Shatter the air, Estampido Supersónico!” He cracked the whip and was engulfed in a towering cyclone of golden reiatsu. After a few moments, the cyclone rapidly shrank – unveiling Colin’s Resurrección. As the cyclone disappeared Colin cracked his neck, rolled his shoulders and stretched the feathery black wings that had sprung from his shoulder blades. His eyes never left Reinhart as he stretched. “You should have asked which Espada I am, Reinhart, rather than arrogantly demanding my name. Perhaps then you wouldn’t be in the shape you’re in.” He slipped his hands down and lowered the waist of his pants while lifting the hem of the golden halter top that had replaced his white button-down shirt. Revealed on his pale skin, tattooed in an elegant script, was a single digit – 1.
He gently tugged the fabric back into place. Once satisfied, he began sluggishly spinning the air around both his arms while feeding his reiatsu into the slowly-forming vortices. “I’m not going to waste energy seducing you in this form, as I normally would.” The vortices began whirling faster, creating a high keening sound. “Instead I am going to wreck you slowly.” The keening reached a crescendo and the vortices began to glow golden with his reiatsu. “Agonizingly.” The vortices compressed in his palms as he fed even more reiatsu into them. “Until you understand where your place is in relation to me.” He fired the vortices simultaneously at Reinhart, each one practically screaming with the speed at which they flew and spun. And when they collided with something, the decompression from each vortex would be just as explosive as his last cero.

Post by Jin Hoshigawa on Aug 25, 2013 20:12:58 GMT -5
Jin could feel the enemies reiatsu increasing gradually, something was going to happen and he didn't like it. He wasn't sure what Lucien was thinking taking on such a tough opponent on his own, or why on earth he felt like he could do it without his bankai. Jin's gut wrenched at the thought of a friend, a comrade being killed because of their naive nature. He wouldn't be able to live with himself if something happened because he was too slow. With his resolve locked into place, Jin shunpoed as quickly as he could in an attempt to reach the two of them.
On his way, Jin cut his arm open allowing the blood to drip down his arm and then onto the blade. He was going to need a plan if he was going to save this idiot, and keep the enemy at bay. And so the preparation for his blood slash was complete. Jin thought for a moment about ditching his haori, keeping his movement as unrestricted as possible, but using it later as a blocking agent, or as a means to blind his sight even for a moment was more than enough of a reason to keep it. He was getting close, and he could feel the creatures reiatsu hitting it's peak, he must have been preparing an attack.
A moment later, seconds after preparing his blood slash, Jin could hear the faint words leave the released arrancars lips. Of course Lucien had to pick one of the stronger ones to fight, and with a rough sigh, Jin swung his sword, aimed not at the beast of a man, but at the attacks he had just released toward Lucien. The blood slash was angled to intercept at least one, and while Jin wasn't sure what it was going to do, he knew that getting the other captain out of the way was going to be in both of their best interest. Jin appeared at the younger captain, grabbing him by the waist as his slash collided with the arrancars wind. The two attacks resulting in a large explosion. Then shunpoing away, Jin appeared twenty feet to the left, his eyes staring at the arrancar.
His gaze wasn't the same; it was determined, and while it lacked any real intent to kill, it did house a resolve to stop this Arrancar right where he stood. His voice that followed was the same; it was stern, and strong, but sincere and resolute. "Lucien...you're lucky I wasn't away...you let your pride get in the way of this war!" He switched his gaze down toward the other captain, his crimson hued twins staring into Luciens. Shaking his head, he then turned his attention to the Arrancar.
"I'm Jin Hoshigawa, the captain of the tenth division..." The words came casually as he raised his sword into the air, aimed at himself. And after taking a deep breath, the rest of the words followed just as casually. "And I'm going to be your opponent from now on...BANKAI!" Not a moment later the blade plunged into his gut, blood splattering outside of his back and spreading across the ground. And as he pulled the sword from his gut, the blade morphing and changing into a serrated blade with links running down to the base, a tree erupted from behind him. The tree itself stood at an astounding thirty feet in the air, the branches reaching out a total of fifty feet. The tree itself was enough to cover the three combatants in a series of shadows. He let out a low sigh, his eyes closed for but a moment as he recited the name of the bankai; something he hadn't done in centuries.
"Zetsumei zenchizennou no ki (All knowing tree of Death). Lucien, try your best to not bleed too much around this tree....it just LOVES blood." The burst in his reiatsu from just a moment ago would become ever apparent as his bankai finalized. Jin opened his eyes, raising his left hand toward his opponent. He was going to go all out; he needed to, he knew this bastard was strong, he could feel it. He may have even been the strongest one here, he wasn't sure entirely, but ending this as quickly as possible was going to be both his and Lucien's favor. Reciting the incantation to the bakudo, Jin would shunpo the moment it finished, calling out the number and name to try and subdue his target for but a moment. Four shadowy chains erupting from the ground caused by the tree around them all. "I invoke thee, God of punishment, to come forth and hold mine enemy in place so that he may be judged for his Sins! Bakudo # 48: Tojikomeru(Imprison)"
Should this bakudo land it's mark and hold onto the arrancar, even for a moment, the young shinigami captain will follow up with his sword coming down in a striking motion to attempt and cut open the mans chest. Anything that will cause him to spill blood.

Lucien frowned deeply when the Espada simply smiled as he drove his blade towards his chest, a rather predator like gleam in his eyes. Nonetheless, he spoke the techniques name and pretty much cursed the Espada as he smoothly, almost like he was mocking Lucien, jumped to the right, watching as Lucien sword thrust harmlessly beside his bare left arm. Lucien made to swipe at him, but gasped rather loudly when the Espada clenched tightly around his wrist, stopping his movement dead. Lucien felt the begins of fear swell up from within him, he knew, if the Espada wanted to, he could easily rip his arm off. He released a breathe he did not known he had been holding when the Espada let go of his wrist and sonido'd thirty feet away.
He ignored the Espada's rambling, too pissed off to care. Only now was Lucien starting to release that he had approached this fight in the totally wrong manner. He was about to launch an attack when the Espada recited something that sounded a lot like a release to another form. Lucien was both shocked and intrigued. How the hell am I supposed to even match that power when he's fucked me up this much with out barely moving? He watched as the Espada was engulfed by a towering cyclone of golden reiastu. After a few moments it began to shrink rapidly, unveiling the Espada's Resurreccion.
Lucien took in the Espada's new appearance as the cyclone disappeared. He was somewhat intrigued, however he begin to fear what this Espada was capable of when it mentioned something about it's number. Of course!!! A fucking number. Fuck. I think i deserve to get my ass whopped for being such a dumb ass. He eyes only seemed to widen more when the Espada slipped his hands down and lowered the waist of his pants while lifting the hem of the golden halter top that had replaced his white button-down shirt. To Lucien's horror, there, tattooed in an elegant script, was the single digit -1. So caught up by this realization, he failed to notice the spiritual pressure of his fellow Captain, Jin Hoshigawa getting closer to the scene.
He watched the Espada begin to sluggishly spin the air around both his arms while feeding reiatsu into the slowly-forming vortices. He ignored the Espada's ramblings once more, more concerned with the slowly-forming vortices as they began whirling faster, creating a high keening sound. Something that sent shivers down Lucien's spine. As the Espada began to speak, Lucien only payed attention to those god damn Vortices, knowing that sooner of later, they were heading his way. The second he fired them off Lucein jumped into action.
"B-Bankai!!!"
The only difference Lucien went through in this form was the single fact his Nodachi extended an extra two feet, reaching a total blade length of six feet. He was about to attack or rather, prepare some sort of evasive counter attack when out of nowhere his friend, comrade and fllow Captain, Jin Hoshigawa appeared next to him, grabbing him by the waist as Jin's attack collided with one of the Espada's Vortices. Wait.. Where the hell did you come from? He was stumped, he was sure Jin had just saved his life.
When they came to a stop twenty feet away to the left of the Espada, Lucien readily accepted the firm but sincere reprimand. Lucien looked away, what Jin said was true, and not to mention, Lucien had not really taken this fight serious from the get go, he was cocky, arrogant, and paid for it.
"Yeah, you are right, but there is not much i can do about that now. Together we can beat him, but we have to be quick, I am not sure how long I can stay in Bankai with my current condition. I will follow your lead." Lucien Shunpo'd away from the Captain as he entered Bankai. He knew that right now he would only be getting in the way, and so, for the time being took the much needed breather all the while preparing and charging an attack of his own. Lucien knew he had to make up for his errors during this fight, and there was one way he could do it.

OOC: Colin will not be referring to Jin by his actual name at any point during the battle.
Colin sighed in exasperation as another shinigami appeared on the scene. You would think they were suicidal roaches or something. This one was somewhat stronger than Reinhart – not by much, but every little bit made the battle unnecessarily long and involved. As the newcomer’s attack collided with one vortex, the collision set both off and created a spectacular explosion. It was a shame, really; Reinhart probably would have been killed it. He wrinkled his nose as he turned his attention back to the shinigami. He probably should have struck immediately, but Soplo de Viento was rather taxing to fire off rapidly. It would have been a different matter had he not charged them so much for the previous attack. But it should have struck! Stupid goddamn shinigami fucking shit up.
He looked coolly at this new one, Jun Hachimato or whatever the fuck its name was. As it plunged its blade into its gut, Colin raised an eyebrow. That was an unusual way to summon an…anything, really. But the action was clearly a summons as a tree began to sprout and grow behind the two shinigami. What had it just said? Bankai? Interesting. This one wasn’t an arrogant idiot. It was still an idiot, of course, but it knew better than to go toe-to-toe with him without its most powerful attacks. He could respect that. He glanced at the tree behind the two. As he surveyed it, he noted the strange fruit hanging from every branch and how the entire thing seemed to be blood-colored. That made sense, really. Activated by blood, this Bankai probably relied on that life essence to accomplish anything. His own bleeding had slowed to nothing by now, but he suspected he should not let this thing have any of his blood. And the miasma now coming from the branches was equally troublesome. He didn’t know its purpose yet, but it would probably prove to be bad news for him. This was going to be tricky. Soplo de Viento was a ranged attack, but all his attacks were stronger and more effective at short range – not to mention Estampido Supersonico was literally at his fingertips. God, he hated shinigami.
He turned to face the source of his vexation. Jun or whatever had lifted its hand and was pointing at him. It was probably an attack similar to what Reinhart had attempted earlier. That was fine by him. It was time for evasive action, then. The shinigami recited its incantation and shadowy chains began to form, but Colin waited patiently. He needed not only to know what sort of attack this was, but also to time his evasion just right. As the word “bakudo” left Jun’s lips, Colin vanished from view with a loud crack. Like hell he was going to be bound up like some wild hog running rampant in a rodeo. Instead, he had chosen to leap upwards and disappear amongst the leaves of the tree. Continuing to move through the branches and mindful that nothing snagged his wound, he contemplated the fruit. What purpose did they serve? And was this Bankai some sort of double-edged sword? It needed Jun’s blood to activate and Jun had warned Reinhart to not bleed around the tree if possible. How could he use that to his advantage? One thing was certain. He had to find a way to end this Bankai pronto. The longer it was active, the more likely he was to lose blood and become ensnared by its ability. It was just a matter of how to go about it.
Glancing down, he noted that Reinhart seemed to be taking a breather while charging up some sort of attack. Perhaps that was the route to take. If he could make Reinhart bleed and have the tree suck up the blood, he could suss out the ability of Jun’s Bankai. Jumping down to one of the lower branches above Reinhart, Colin fired off two Bala at the shinigami before darting higher up again and moving to yet another section of the tree. As he moved, he charged a cero in one hand. Zeroing in on Jun’s reiatsu, he moved towards it and aimed a slender index finger at the captain. He murmured ‘cero’ as the reiatsu coalesced at his fingertip – a bloody crimson to match the leaves of the tree – and fired in a tight beam at Jun.

Words: 726 Notes: Bankai stats at the bottom included in total stats. Tags: Lucien, Colin He's not an upright Dog But an on all fours dog ! Jin scoffed to himself as the Arrancar dipped away from his bakudo, dodging his impending doom, and Jin's strike. He needed the man to take all the damage he could if this were to work in the slightest. The tree was massive, and finding anything inside of it would be impossible. So Jin, of course with nothing to worry about, turned toward his fellow captain; at least that was before everything had just dawned on him at once. He's in the damn tree!? He bellowed inwardly, grunting to himself as he followed the mans movements as best he could. He was fast, really fast in fact. He could wager to say that he was even faster than Jin himself. But what was he doing? He wasn't using sonido inside the tree; was he already hurt by Lucien? If any wounds weren't completely healed by this point, they wouldn't be so long as he was inside the tree.
He was moving along the tree's branches; was he trying to find out what this tree did? Well, even if he made Lucien bleed, or his own wounds didn't heal enough, finding out what this tree did would be nigh-impossible. The fruit that form for each person appears in a random location each time, even Jin's fruit wasn't easy to find, also randomly generated like some sort of computer program. Not to mention they wouldn't be filled until they bled enough. The only tell tale sign of a complete, different fruit was the redness it radiated, and the beat like a heart. Even still, the other man couldn't risk something on just instinct, could he? He wouldn't know what they did, what their purpose was, or even how long they would last. Jin knew, but he wasn't telling.
With a wide Grin, Jin felt the other mans reiatsu appear above him. He didn't look his way, of course, that would be too easy. Jin had an idea of what this man did; wind manipulation, at least that's what it seemed like, but was that the end to his abilities? This beast of a man was powerful, and while Jin wasn't sure of his number, he was sure of one thing. He didn't want to get hit by one of his attacks...or did he? Jin shunpoed, leaving behind a rather convincing after image while he also delved into the tree's branches. He needed to find that fruit before his opponent did. Appearing in the tree line beside the Arrancar, as large as he was, Jin grabbed a branch and swung his body toward him under the branch, looking to kick the man in the chest; he wasn't sure how durable the Arrancar was, but he needed to get him away from the tree.
Then, landing on top of the branch (whether or not the beast was struck or not) Jin grinned and shunpoed once more, leaping from one branch to another. Soon, he grabbed a random fruit, attempting to take a bite out of it, before he conveniently hit a branch, tumbling forward and dropping the fruit. "Noooooo...My fruit! Don't eat that, it'll heal you!" Jin let the words escape his lips, perhaps over acting, or maybe he was under acting? He simply wanted to plant the idea that perhaps these fruit could heal the enemy. Or, maybe, and this is what he truly wanted. The man would look at the fruit, the deathly face across it and Jin's words and would think that he was lying, trying to trick the man into eating a poisonous fruit. Of course they weren't, but he didn't know that.
Still falling toward the ground, Jin waved his hand casting a self inflicted kidou. "Lucien, keep him occupied a bit longer! Bakudo #26: Kyokko" Jin seemingly vanished, and his reiatsu disappeared too. He needed to keep the Arrancar occupied with something while he found his own fruit. If he were to consume it, nothing would happen, and the single weakness to this bankai would vanish, but if, even for a second, the Arrancar got a hold of his bankai's fruit, he would be in deep shit and the two of them would probably be dead. Taking in a deep breath, Jin shunpoed to the branches, placing his hand on the trunk of the tree as he started to sense out the fruit.
