Deep within the outskirts of Rukongai, and within the forest of that area is a stream. It is a place Lieutenant Miranda Frost often visits, whether to relax or train. It reminded her of the battle that fated her to become a Shinigami. 3rd Seated Officer Vileeta Amuun relased Miranda from her hollow prison, and allowed her to come to this wonderful place. She still wanted to venture out to find her older siblings, but duty here holds her back.
now she was here, sitting beside a tree, admiring the nature's music. The steady melody of the water, the symphoney of the birds, it all brought a smile to her pale lips. Her hollowed sword leaned against the tree to her left, while her zanpakuto lay in her lap, should it wish to speak with her. Lately it has been quiet, and Miranda knew why. Her old sword was filled with her old hollow power, and it was merging back with her soul. She is sure her zanpakuto is feeling the effects. She felt certain it would soon effect her.

It was peaceful indeed out in the outskirts of the Soul Society. It was rare to see many people out here deep in the forest, especially this far in. What could possibly bother any soul that trekked into its confines? It would seem like no such thing could be possible. The way the birds sang to one another and how the small animals scurried along, gathering up their food. It was all just so calm with no worries in the world and nothing but the songs of nature. At least until a certain pirate showed up.
Swinging from a high branch, Roxanna threw herself into the depths of a deeper part of the stream with a loud shout and an even louder splash to follow. Birds scatter up into the air, fleeing from the newcomer. She emerged from the surface of the not so calm water, throwing her head back and causing her blue hair to whip back out of her face, splashing more water around. "Yeah get on outta here!" she called after the birds, laughing quite loudly to herself. She brought her arm up, revealing a plugged up bottle of sake in her hand. She popped its lid out, tilting the bottle back and taking a long chug of the alcohol.
This was truly the life. There were nearly enough places like the in Seireitei so the lieutenant had to travel all the way out here to go for a good swim when she wanted to. So what if her clothes were utterly soaked now? Things could dry. Roxanna leaned back, rewetting her hair when she sensed something besides the animals she had scared off. She raised her head up slightly, looking around when she spotted a certain shinigami, looking far too troubled over something. She recognized her as another lieutenant, not one she was particularly close with but still somewhat familiar. Roxanna stood up straightened up, swimming over to a point where she could stand.
"Oi! Why don't you come on in instead of sitting there?!" she offered, and unknowingly sounding like she was giving out harsh orders. Roxanna was by far one of the toughest there were in Seireitei, and her tone wasn't always something she thought to control. She sent a smirk, cocky smile the girl's way, nodding her head as a sign to join her, or to at least give her some kind of rejection, anything to get rid of that thinking face. Who needed to think on things that much? It wasn't good for the soul. "Got drinks!" she called out, raising the bottle of sake high up in the air, with a bigger, brighter smile. Oh alcohol was one of her favorite things.

| “Did someone just say drinks?”
Aisha stepped off the branch she had been occupying, only to land crouched on the ground. Her legs together. Modesty came handy when it was a habit. Drinking. She didn't particularly like drinking, never have. But right at that moment, a drink didn't seem like such a bad idea. Maybe it was the boredom clouding her sense of right and wrong, but what went through her mind was Psssh, who cares why. Let's just get drunk and make this day eventful! Yeahp. She was definitely drunk on boredom. It was hardly her fault though. It wasn't her fault that she wasn't allowed to have some fun. Perhaps it was her fault for having a different sense of fun but that hardly mattered, did it?
Pushing all thoughts of conflict away, Ash stood up to stretch herself. She had been in middle of a nice nap when something had woken her. Not knowing what had, she had lain on the branch drifting in and out of sleep. Aisha guessed when her mind had heard the word 'drink', it had woken her up completely. Maybe it was the face that the with the word, came trouble. She liked trouble. She liked chaos. And she hadn't had that lately, it seems. So in what was in some way desperation, she thirsted for it. In more than one way.
Ash yawned with a hand covering her mouth and the other stretched far above her head. She spotted the the one with the drink first and started towards her. As she made her way closer to them both, Ash realized they both looked rather familiar. But being horrible with names and faces, she couldn't remember who they were to save her life. Not that she was alive. Obviously. Reaching the girl with the drink held in her hands, Ash leaned against a tree and slumped down it before she spoke.
“What a horrible day today. No chaos, just this damned quiet peace. Horrible, horrible, horrible.”

The man frowned, hearing voices from the stream up ahead. Internally he groans, and facepalms. "Oh great, not needed company. I just hope they aren't people who would recognize me..." He sighs. A chuckle in his head makes him frown. "It's ironic that you try to slack from work, heading to a secluded spot in the woods, only to be caught by others~" He sighs, I haven't been caught yet Ekibyou. Not just yet. We don't know if it's just some people from the Rukongai. It doesn't have to necessarily be Shinigami..." He begins, but Ekibyou interjects. "Oh please, you can tell that they possess reiatsu. And judging by the amount, one of them is a Captain." He sighs to himself. "For once couldn't you let my dreams branch out?" He sighs, waving his hands dramatically.
It's true, he had decided to sneak out. It was offly boring and tiring with all the training he was doing lately. And, since his Captain was out, he had decided to...do one of his classics and sneak out for a peaceful drink. He had grabbed his sake and cup set, and headed out into the Rukongai, just as an extra set of security. He didn't want to be reprimanded by his Captain or the Vice-Captain, he just wanted to take a breather and relax.
With a gulp, Shin moved slowly into sight, his eyes warily scanning. He paled, his heart dropping as he saw it was his Captain there. "Of course, it couldn't be any of the other Captains, it had to be her." he sighed, hating himself for even coming out this far to hide from said person. Gulping, all he could do now was move in and see if he could get out of all this. "Uh....hey everyone." He takes a small wave, and gives one of his best 'i'm innocent' smiles.

"Oi! Why don't you come on in instead of sitting there?!"
Miranda snapped out of her concentration and looked at the figure floating in the water. Upon her enlistment, she took it upon herself to read the files of all the captains and lieutenants so that she my be familiar with them beforehand and less likely to clash with them. She hadnt finished reading them all but she knew from what she had read that his was squad 8's lieutenant. She contemplated getting in the water then, when she decided that there was no harm in doing so, stood up and took a step, removing her Zanpakuto, placing it next to the tree where she sat. She chuckled when she remembered Odoru Hono, reaction to water. He absolutely refused to go in, commenting that large bodies of water were death traps.
"Got drinks!
Drinks? Miranda wasnt an alcoholic, but she did enjoy her fair share. She smiled slightly, removing the beads and the feather from her hair, setting them next to her zanpakuto. She ran and dived in close to where the other lieutenant was, coming up next to her with a chuckle. She, for a moment, relieved her of the bottle of whatever it was and drank a few mouthfuls before giving the bottle back to her. "Thanks", She told her, a smile branded across her face.
“What a horrible day today. No chaos, just this damned quiet peace. Horrible, horrible, horrible.”
The voice came before she was able to sense the owner's reiastu. But she didnt need to feel the newcomer's power to know that she was a captain, or the captain's name. She turned and waved toward the captain and greeted her. "Hello Captain Ione!", Miranda called out. She felt a smaller power not to far from the captain, but didnt worry. It came out soon enough and greeted the lieuteneants and captain. he wasnt a lieutenant... but she estimated he was a high seated member. "Is this one yours Captain Ione?" She asked the captain with a curious tone in her voice.

It seemed like everyone was in for a party in the woods this fine, fine day. Roxanna was going to have to find some place new to get away be herself. Even a captain happened to stumble right in. That wasn't a good sign. That meant her own captain could probably get out here. Heck this one could even go tell him. Then he'd come dragging her back to do his paperwork for him. No way! That was not happening! She'd just have to loop this one around her finger, which might not have been that hard. "Yeah it's horrible! Why don't you come mess up that peace hm, Captain?" she offered, not even caring that she was dropping every ounce of formality one would usually use with some one of such a respectable rank. Honestly that had to be annoying though, everyone treating you all proper. Roxanna would chew their heads off. So along with that she decided long ago that no captain was all that special enough to be treated any different. Not even that old man would be free of her laid back, crude nature.
Just then there was a splash as the other girl gave into Roxanna's plan, something she smirked and chuckled about. A good drinking day at the stream could never go wrong. She was splashed with the wave the girl's dive left over, welcoming the rush of water over her face. "Glad ya could join me. No fun drinking alone, aye?" She was pleased to see her take up the offered drink, though even more glad to see her give it back. Roxanna was no where near drunk enough yet. Having a high tolerance really was the worst. When her drink was handed back to her, she tilted it up, drinking some more of it down. She was wishing she had brought more along with her. She had already emptied half if it on her way here. There was no way it was going to last. She pouted for a moment before looking back up to the captain who had presented herself. "Oi! Heads up!" she didn't even bother closing it before tossing the bottle in Aisha's direction, just hoping none of it spilled out to be wasted on the ground.
Of course there was another presence that had been around and finally it presented itself. Out from the bushes came a male, one she definitely didn't know. She arched her brow, wondering who this new kid was but didn't put to much into it. What was a party without a boy to beat up and show her strength off to? "Oh my! Its a boy!" she cooed, smirking even more than before. She placed her hands on her hips, knowing she did in face have the looks to embarrass a good chunk of men, especially now that she was dripping wet with her uniform clinging to her form in the areas it wasn't just falling open to reveal tan skin. "You come to play with us, boy??~" she mused with a wink before putting on her tough guy face that just dared him. The innocent ones were always the funnest.

| A sigh escaped from her slightly open lips as she passed a look to the male new-yet familiar-comer that was halfway between quizzical and amusement, but with an underlying heat of what seemed to be laughter. Uncontrollable laughter that seemed to be held in, but just barely. She wasn't angry at him for trying to sneak out of his duties today. Hell, she wondered, Do I even have the right to be annoyed or angry? I'm doing the same thing here myself. Of course, she was captain. But if that had made a difference to her behavior towards responsibilities and such, she sure couldn't tell.
“So... Shinda Chinmoku. This is where you've been coming to when I couldn't find you at your post, huh?” Chuckling softly, she looked down at the sake in his hands before continuing. “Well, that answers the other mysteries. Don't just stand there awkwardly. Come and join...” Ash looked towards the first girl with the drinks, “Her party.” |
Turning her attention back to the two women in front of her, she nodded in acknowledgment at the girl who greeted her formally. Her face scrunched up as Aisha tried to remember who the girl even was. It was a bad trait of hers – not being able to remember faces and names. It had taken her a great deal of effort to even learn the faces and names of the other captains, along with the seated officers of her own squad. She didn't even want to try and learn the other officers. She'd probably end up mixing up everyone's names and faces in the end. Tilting her head, she scrutinized the girl's face before finally giving up. “Uh, hey... Sorry, I don't know your name.” Looking back the way she had come, she stared at the air above Shinda, as if remembering a long forgotten memory. “Yeah, he's my Fourth Seat. Come and introduce yourself, Shinda.” When the other girl with the drinks spoke, it took a bit of getting used to. Arching her eyebrow at the girl, Ash listened to how the girl spoke to her. Normally, officers had a way of addressing her formally and doing that whole formal speech thing going on. The way this girl spoke was refreshing, but the way the girl had agreed wholeheartedly with her comment about the terribly peaceful day had been, to be simply put, overdone. That response alone made the Captain of Squad Two think What the hell does she want..? But even before she could contemplate it any further, she heard a shouting. Not being able to make out the words since she had just come out of a deep thought process, Aisha acted on reflexes alone as she caught the blur of movement through the air. It took a moment for her to realize what was in her hands before she lifted the bottle up a little to the girl who had thrown it in gratitude and took a couple of gulps. Then without looking back, tossed it back to Shinda, thinking that if he couldn't catch that without spilling, she was going to have to lead him through some harsh training. Oh, goodie. Hell training.[/div]

[cs=3]

Shinda's smile relaxed slightly as it seemed that his Captain wasn't angry. Good, that means that he might be able to get out of this without extra training. A voice yelled at him, and he blinked, turning to see one of the lieutenants teasing and cooing at him, mocking him. He blushes lightly as he sees that her clothes are clinging to her, but takes an internal breath. "Sorry, no, didn't come to play with you really~" He chuckles. "Came to drink and relax some~"
He blinks, and chuckles nervously as his Captain asks him if this is where he usually hides away. "N-No Captain Ione! I have many spots all over the Sereitei and Rukongai where I hide away from training..this is just one of them." He grins sheepishly. He blinks as the Captain calls for him to introduce himself, and walks forwards, standing in clear view of the women. "I am Shinda Chinmoku, Fourth Seat of Division Two. Pleasure to meet all of you." He takes a quick bow before relaxing. Maybe he would get out of this after al-
The sound of something whirring at him through the air makes him snap to the sake bottle as it hurls. His eyes widen, and he stumbles back, jumping and catching it with a grin. He chuckles. "Thank you Captain, and thank you lieutenants for the drink~" He takes a gulp from the sake bottle, and then another from his own, before flinging them at the two lieutenants. He then Shunpo's into the trees, and sets Ekibyou down on the branch. "I'll just leave you here for a little while, okay? Stay put~" He teases, feeling a little bit of irritation from his Zanpakuto. Ah, it was always fun to return banter towards that sarcastic spirit sometimes.

"Aye", Miranda replied to Roxanne's comment about it being better to drink with someone rather than alone. She agreed very much so. However her reason for agreeing with her may be different than most. Unlike Roxanne, Miranda had a very low toleranc to alcohol. This mean that she could get drunk very easy. Luckily it doesnt change her personality... much. Sure she may get less quieter than she normally is, but at least she doesnt annoy the shit out of people for no conceivable reason.
"I'm Miranda Frost, Lieutenant of squad 5. Don't worry Caption Ione, i'm not very good with names either.", Replied Miranda toward the captain. When the 4th seat came closer within her view she giggled. She was laughing mainly at his blush, but she was thankful he didnt run away out of nervousness. "He's cute", Miranda told her, direccting a wink and a smile toward Shinda.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=style, width:480; background-color:f5f5f5; ,bTable] | "I get what i want, so everyone's always judging me. I'm not afraid of anything. I've got the whole world in front of me." | Roxanna Salacia Baines |
"Roxanna Baines, ma'am~" she introduced herself, that ma'am hardly having any serious or emphasis on it. Like she was really going to start being up tight now. "And so this little tike is yours? How bad of him to be of sneaking around like this in the middle of a wrok day. Shamey Shamey boy?~" It was too bad she would completely forget about who that kid was soon enough. Roxanna was great with names. Even when she was drunk she was great with names. When she was drunk off her ass though things became a bit more difficult for the pirate.
"Come to play or not you're still here. Might as well enjoy the party yeah?" she mused, leaning back in the water wand letting herself float. She let out a long sigh, completely relaxed. How much she loved the cold water. Cold water and getting drunk. Just like being on the sea! It was perfect. "You don't gotta thank. And don't call me lieutenant kid" she said with a slightly bothered tone. She was a hard ass yes but she hated formalities. The rules and formal customs of any world didn't hold much meaning to her. "You have my name so use it" She looked at him and smiled despite her ordering tone, showing she was still light hearted. She knew that sometimes she could be a bit much for some people. She was a... unique individual.
"So what brings you all out here? I know we all have other business to be tending to" She smirked, eyeing Aisha especially. She knew captains had a lot of work. Her lazy captain's work got dumped on her sometimes after all. She hadn't been expecting to see a captain out here. She didn't think all the captains in the Gotei 13 were as bad as her slacker leader. She could have been wrong though.

| Aisha blinked blankly at Miranda Frost and the remark she made. But her introduction made sense to how they had all looked a bit familiar. Two lieutenants gathered with drinks on a peaceful day. What coincidences. From their reaction to each other, it didn't seem like they knew each other well, but her intuition could always be a bit off. However, this wasn't what made Ash just blink at Miranda but her comment about Shinda's cuteness. It made her turn her head slowly to Shinda's new position and look him up and down. The end result ended up being a shrug. She didn't notice guys from her own division. It was a bit too much like family for her own morality.
'I guess so, Frost-san. I never noticed.' Turning to Roxanna as she half asked, half stated about her ownership over Shinda, Ash lifted an eyebrow before speaking with a smirk on her face. 'Yes that little tike is one of mine. And doesn't the same apply to you?'
|
Not too interested in getting wet, Ash lay down on a dry patch of grass and listened as Roxanna talked to Shina. She turned towards the girl with enough time to catch the look and the grin the girl gave her. Aisha had heard about the lazy reputation about the Eight Squad, but since she hadn't really cared, Ash hadn't known it was true. Smirking back as she stretched her arms over her head, she gave the girl a sly wink. 'Girl, I ain't your captain. I do my needed work before sneaking off to have my quiet time.' With a small chuckle, she continued. 'Boredom, I guess. I had nothing to do.'[/div]

[cs=3]

Shinda paused and blushed as Miranda winked and smiled at him. "Why thank you." He grins. "My girlfriend thinks so too..I hope." He chuckles a little nervously, and walks to the edge of the water, finding a nice tree to rest against. He takes off his shoes, and dips his feet in, sighing in content. It was always nice to relax in places like this.
He overhears the drunken Roxanna talking about him being a tike, and frowns. "Hey now, I'm not some little boy." He speaks out, chuckling slight. " And who are you to speak out, girl~" He smirks a little defiantly at her. Shinda wasn't one to be spoken of as a child. He chuckled, and pulled another bottle of sake from his shirt. It was always a great idea to the Shinigami to carry at least two bottles of sake on his person at all times.
He closed his eyes, listening to the three women talk, and laughed softly at his Captain's explanation and response to Roxanna. He didn't realize his Captain could actually be funny. At least this showed she wasn't always as harsh as his Lieutenant. He looked over everyone, and smiled. "Isn't it nice to relax and have fun like this~?" He grins.
