It was a misty night in Kagamino city, the luminous rays of the moon shine down and are a compliment to the Shinigamis patrolling in the area, the streets are empty, and nothing left but a mist. There were 4 shinigamis assigned to Kagamino that night, one guarding the north east side while the other guarded the south west side of town.
Two of them decided to patrol the City’s perimeter. It would have seemed that it’s just another boring night of patrolling the grounds but something came up. This night was different….
Normally there’d be hollows to slay on their daily patrols but how come they haven’t seen any of them? That is when they noticed a faint spiritual pressure coming from the Mountain ridge.
There had been rumors of a great hollow eliminating hollows and is believed to be the one that attacked the 6 shinigamis requisitioned in Tokyo . There were 6 of them because Tokyo is a big place and guarding its areas is difficult for 2 to handle alone. The team was reported to have been ambushed by this hollow and were picked off one by one.
When the two shinigami arrived to the Mountain ridge they came across a group hollows that were just about attacking the Monks who happen to be camping an open area in the forest, it seemed to be one of the few meditation grounds for these young monks. Of course they respond by killing the hollows, they just can’t sit around and watch them get eaten by spirits. After that…
“Hey.. do you hear something?”
“Yes… but can you feel that spiritual pressure?”
“Its faint but the presence is near….” [/b][/color]
The night was full of mists and silence. The cold wind cuts through the bone especially for the patrolling shinigami, the one who is situated to patrol the south east of sits quietly on top of one of the crypts of the graveyard all bored. “I wish something interesting were to happen” He puffed off a sigh wondering about the rumors of the certain hollow to be true or not. A few minutes later he noticed figures in the mists, they were hollows and all of them are just staring at him waiting to attack. “Well A guy’s gotta do what he’s gotta do” And just in a short period of 4 minutes they were all slain. A few hours later The two shinigamis that were in town came to the meeting spot which is the park at the center of the city. The perimeter patrolled returned, to their surprised they were heavily wounded and that one of them is already half-dead being carried by the other.
“WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED!?”
“R-run… we have to get out of here…he’s coming”
“Who’s coming?”[/b] Says the guard of the northwest part of the city. The very voice of the wounded shinigami seemed serious as if he had just seen a fate worse than death or like he had seen the end of the world or something.
“WE HAVE TO RUN!!”
Unfortunately they were too late, a huge mist surrounded the park, it was so thick that you couldn’t even see 5 meters ahead of you. It got colder and the temperature dropped down dramatically as if they were in some mountain area.
“Thou shall not leave unscathed….” Says the hollowed like voice.
The 2 Shinigami raised their weapons as they prepared to engage whatever they were about to encounter.
“ITS NO USE!! RUN! SAVE YOURSELVES!!” The wounded shinigami collapsed with worry as the second one lied down on the floor half-dead.
Soon they felt a sudden increase in temperature as a huge fire ball was launched from behind their backs creating a massive explosion separating the two battle-able shinigami. Both of the shinigami at the same time decided to go upwards towards the sky to a better altitude only for one of them to have been dragged down by a fiery chain of malevolence.
“W-what?” The chains were enchanted with Reiatsu and thus he is slowly being dragged down back to the mist. The other shinigami saw this in response as he used an energy technique to sever the chain’s connection, disrupting the channeling Rei as its hold was weakened freeing is comrade.
“That burst is strong!!! I can’t believe it both knocked as out so easily!”Soon they noticed that the wind patterns of the mist decided to twirl as if it were forming some kind of misty hurricane. There was something glowing in the middle of the mist that almost seemed to be that of Reiatsu then suddenly… IT BURSTS into a stream of energy that immediately dashed towards the north western guard of the city knocking him out causing him to fall into the mist. The south eastern guard stood his ground as he dodged the shooting light. It moved so fast and if he hadn’t seen it coming he’d be knocked down back into the mist as well. The figure stopped on the same altitude as the southeastern guard, revealed to be some kind of horse rider.
“Tch!” The shinigami raised his blade as the figure came closer and closer riding his horse, walking towards him, stalking him and mocking him, provoking the shinigami to strike. And just like that the shinigami unleashed a burst of energy towards the Rider only to have the Rider and his horse run to the energy beam, 10 meters before inpact, the Rider enhances his shield with reiatsu as it completely blocked the beam with ease. The shinigami has no choice but to dodge before he’d be bashed by this ephemeral phantom of a rider. The hollow dismounted his horse as he dashes to the shinigami, on his left hand was a imperial lance and on his right is a long sword. The Shinigami immediately parried both his weapons with his own. The rider took a step back only to throw his Lancer towards the shinigami. The shinigami immediately dodged only to have dodged at the place where the Rider expected him to have dodged. His weapon was enchanted with a red rei as he striked down his weapon creating a beam of light, slashing the shinigami with such force.
When the other shinigami regained consciousness he saw his comrade falling in front of him as the fallen body smashed to the ground leaving a small crater in its wake.
“Who..or what is that hollow?” Little did the shinigami notice that the horse like hollow was galloping towards him smacking his right arm and throwing him of in the air? It was unbelievable that the horse itself managed to surpress its spiritual presence, a hollow that would have shown some aura when it attacks but this one didn’t….
It was impossible.
“Duwagh!!” The Rider sees this as an opportunity to strike his target, he hid and replaced his sword pulling back his lance to his hands with spiritual pressure as the very tip of it charges it with Rei, as soon as the shinigami came to a high altitude the Horse from below fired a cero finally showing its spritiual presence as it blasted the shinigami to where it hovers.
“AAARRGH!!”
The Shinigami shouted in pain as the Rider ‘s spear glowed with energy and launched it towards the shinigami, piercing through the body.
It was devastating and sadistic.
Not much fight left in all the four shinigamis, it was as if a disaster struck them hard, without warning. The mist disappeared and the temperature slightly rised back to the regular cold night.
The rider left shinigami scouts of the 2nd division came along and collected the bodies of the half-dead shinigami that were patrolling here. It seems they have arrived late and the damage has been done. Though they were no reports of any humans being harmed, that alone is strange. If there are no shinigamis in the area or that they are eliminated or knocked out how is it that no single human soul has been eaten by a hollow? It is believed that the hollows that had attacked the patrol stationed in kagamino city were being led.
It’s a filed report and became one of the few minor concerns of the 13 gotei court squads.
The destination of this Hollow is still unknown at this point, earlier sightings of this hollow came from hongkong and is believed to be heading towards Kakura town. The actual reasons why Hollows are actually in the mountains is because they were being driven out by the rider as well as the hollows in the graveyard.
