Epic Meal Time. " Well, that's far from what I had planned..." This wasn't exactly something you heard particularly often from a man who was in possession of what was quite honestly possibly the most impressive intellect in all of existence. Things going beyond what he had planned to happen...Just didn't tend to happen really. And if they did, the results were usually disastrous. Clad in his usual green ensemble, complete with hat and clogs of course, the day had started just like any other. He had woken up, he had somehow managed to avoid being beaten around the head by Ururu and Jinta [ Kids grow up so fast...] for his antics - Antics today included such favourites as doing a full on song and dance number when a kid wandered in looking for his mother and the former Captain had mistaken him for a customer as well as that old favourite, making Jinta sweep up. - and so and so forth. All in all, it was an average day. Until dinner time. You'd think at the age of seven hundred and seventy two, Urahara Kisuke would have managed to eat alone without feeling all lonesome and melancholy, but it was not to be. With Tessai, Jinta and Ururu all out elsewhere this evening, Kisuke had taken it upon himself to go out for dinner and perhaps even make some friends! You never could tell what would happen when the green garbed Exile went out into the world at large. Inside his gigai, he wandered out into the town, swinging his sword-cane as he went, looking for somewhere nice to eat before coming across a lovely little italian joint in the very center of town. Ordering Risotto ai funghi porcini, as he tended to do when eating Italian, he waited with a bottle of wine as he looked around the lively dinner spot. Couples, friends and even a few other loners were here and he wondered what kind of mischief he could get himself into after he'd gorged himself on some food. Finally it came, the food. Finishing his glass of white wine, he filled up a spoonful of the steaming creamy mixture ready to throw it into the cavernous pit that was his mouth. Just in time too, since the minute he fired the italian delight into his mouth, a large beam of energy vaporised his meal - and the table, but let's focus here chaps - right before his eyes. Inwardly he seethed as he knew exactly what kind of beam that was, there was little that could decieve his slate grey eyes. A cero. A weak one, but a cero nonetheless. Outwardly it was a different story though. Throwing himself upon the ground where his table had once lay, he prostrated himself in faux-horror as though he had seen nothing and his meal had simply combusted with no outside help. Rolling on the floor and crying out to God, Jehova, His Pal Dave, Moses and anyone else who would listen, he felt the rise of reiatsu from above and waited until the very last moment before using Shunpo to get out of the way and appear above it. His blade drawn from his sheath, he let out a low whistle as he peered over the Hollows shoulder at the extremely minor devastation below them. " Yare yare...Don't suppose you're gonna pay for my meal you wasted are you?" The beast turned in shock at the sound of his voice, but it didn't even get to see him before it's mask was shattered with a single blow from the sealed blade and it was disintegrating into the aether, purified by his soul cutter, his Zanpakuto. His Gigai of course was still on the ground, rolling around in despair, but he realised he may have to wait until later to pick it up. He was not alone. words 645 tags - - - notes Urahara in the house bitches!

It was a normal day in the life of Izaya Orihara, albeit a boring day for the most part. Most of his morning and afternoon had been spent people watching, of course, not just normal people; since Izaya was a Quincy he could see all kinds of odd beings, and he watched them all. He watched hollow devour souls, other hollow, watched a couple low level Shinigami fend off a few, though nothing more of those other beings he had seen. What had he heared them called? Ah, Togabito, least, that's what the last spiritually aware being who crossed his path had told him when he asked.
The better part of his day had been spent playing the victim, the innocent bystander who just so happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time during a mass hollow attack, that he caused. Yes he had gotten bored enough to break some of his hollow bait and cause chaos, it was more than that though, he used the bait to call hollow which then lured other beings in who could fight them, and that, for the most part, was how he met people who told him what he wanted to know.
It was a decent set up for the most part, though he wasn't raking in much business with supernatural beings. He knew why though, naturally, only because he had stalked many a Shinigami to find their source of information in the living world, and it always lead him to a small, run down candy store. He had competition, and from what he understood it was major competition..A person whom he heard called many things, but one name was consistant, Kisuke Urahara. Having overheard the name on one of his visits to the store, people were either careless or dumb, and sometimes it seemed like both.
From the moment he found this small candy store through the Shinigami who unknowingly lead him there he had always hung around at a safe distance, hoping to see or hear anything juicy, however rarely did he hear or see anything big. Still though, it was a source of entertainment for the Quincy, and it would prove to be one today as well.
When he was bored with his antics and people watching he mosied on over to the Urahara Shoten, arriving just in time to see someone leave the building, of course he followed along behind them at a safe distance, one where he could not be seen if the man looked behind him but one where he could still track the man and follow his every step. His reiatsu output was low, very low, if he had been sensed it might be hard to tell what he was, unless the person in question was intelligent.
He watched the man enter a restaurant and questioned whether or not he should continue watching, until he saw the hollow fire the cero at the building. Well, things were looking up, he saw the same man who he had followed appear behind the hollow and then watched as he destroyed it. Where was Izaya hiding? Well, he had been perched in a tree outside the restaurant, watching things below with his binoculars.
Only after the hollow had been defeated, did Izaya let his reiatsu output rise to about half of what he was capable, like he wanted to be found out. He then hopped down from the branches of his tree and walked out from under it's shade, looking up at the man whoes view he now stood in. He clapped his hands in a slow applause, gazing above him with a bit of a smirk present. During his time hanging around the candy store he had seen many faces and heard many names placed to them, there was only one name he ever heard placed to this face.
"So, you're Kisuke Urahara? I'm Izaya Orihara, pleasure to meet you." ....IT WAS REALLY ONLY YOU. | [atrb=style, background-color:#000000; bTable]
