For: Shikai
Name: Shīsushīrudo (lit. Sheath Shield)
Type: Defensive
Cost: Low Reiryoku
Range: Close
Description: The power of Matsumoto's Shikai lies within his scabbard. That being said, upon releasing his Shikai his scabbard becomes extremely durable and is surrounded by a near-inivisble cylindrical barrier of Reiryoku (almost impossible to sunder unless someone's attack is nearly triple his Reiryoku level.) He can use this sheath shield in battle block and parry attacks that come his way, effectively giving him a strong line of defense.
For: Shikai
Name: Shinku Kiba (lit. Crimson Fang)
Type: Attack
Cost: Mid-High Reiryoku
Range: Mid to Long
Description: To perform Shinku Kiba, Matsumoto must place his sword into the scabbard. While in the scabbard it becomes charged with Reiryoku. When he draws it, and slashes at the air, it unleashes a crescent shaped wave of bright red Reiryoku that will deal moderate damage to an opponent when it explodes on impact. However, the longer he lets it "charge" in the scabbard the more powerful, the longer range, and the faster the attack gets (each turn it doubles in strength, maxing out at power on the 3rd turn.) However, doing so is very tiring for him.
For: Bankai
Name: Saigo No Shinku Kiba (lit. Final Crimson Fang)
Type: Attack
Cost: Moderate Reiryoku
Range: Long
Description: Upon releasing his Bankai state, Matsumoto's body becomes encased in a samurai style armor, reinforcing him. This armor formerly served as his scabbard, which vanishes during the state. If he sheathes his sword before releasing his Bankai, he will be able to use the Saigo No Shinku Kiba when he emerges from his transformation. It is by far his most devastating attack. His blade develops a crimson hue and as soon as he swings it at a target, it will unleash a Shinku Kiba that is six times the size of an ordinary one and as stronger than one that is fully charged in Shikai. The destructive power of this attack is unmatched, but after using it once, he can no longer use it again (until the very next day at the least.)
For: Bankai
Name: Ikari No Yoroi (lit. Rage Armor)
Type: Other
Cost: None
Range: None
Description: It would be under the first impression that the armor Matsumoto's Bankai provides him would be for protection. The truth is, the armor itself doesn't truly protect him (any damage it takes reduces his Reiryoku and strong enough attacks will shear right through it and wound him.) As he takes hits, the armor will develop bright red cracks and with each consecutive blow they will spread. When it finally breaks (after about four or five heavy hits,) the the true power of his Bankai is released, his blade's edge shimmers with bright red Reiryoku. Each of his swings carries with it immense force, making it so his sword can shear most physical objects and objects constructed out of reshi (even Zanpakutos of those three ranks lowre than him) as if it were a hot knife sliding through butter. This makes taking one of his attacks very dangerous and potentially deadly. Lasts for 3 turns before fading (he will then revert to Shikai and cannot summon his Bankai for the rest of combat.)
