On top of the mosulem is were he slept... sitting next to the angels were they wept. The Shinigami nodded off for a few winks, but was soon rested up for the nights nice blinks. Ryou sat there Zanpaktou in hand... watching over the grave stone covered land. The Shinigami sat there grumbling to himself. Ryou was fond of what he called 'The Graveyard Shift'. Yes... sitting around and watching over a human grave site was actually his ideal of a fun night, though hunting criminals seemed like a better use of his time. Or at least training. Sighing to himself he stared up at the full moon and cackled softly. This reason he had not been able to resist taking the job off one of his lower seats was that very reason the light of the full moon was nice. Plus the Lieutenant seemed to have everything handled, and Ryou had for the first time found someone he thought of as a 'Master'. He had earned his respect enough that the Dog part of his insult of a nickname certainly could describe his protectiveness. Even if he wasn't really strong enough to be one that could be considered for doing a good job of protecting her, since it seemed more like it would be the other way around. Of course there was inkling recently that he had heard that some of the newer unseated had another name for him... 'Dark Toymaker'.
The thought of the sound of such a nickname for a moment. Such a name certainly discibed his darling In'ei, plus that was it's name after all. He himself... well he was the 'Mad' part of the equation. Though 'Dark Toymaker'... that was certainly interesting. He figured that it probably had something to do with his habit of making toys of everyone's shadows...and they where dark. Well... 'If the shoe fits', as the old human saying went. Spending a little time in the human world allowed one to hear such things, especially here in this part of the world. He preferred though to be near were the action was. He wanted to be able to protect his Division, and also get back to protecting the kids. Sadly he would be done with this assignment by tomorrow and then could move on to the next. Sitting up for a moment he looked around the graveyard as he figured that it might be good to do another round. To see if any ghost were wondering by. He had found two last night, since they seemed to like to come and visit there old bodies.
So with a quick little jump the Shinigami landed on the ground next to the stone building and began to walk between the rows of graves. He moved a bit into the 'Mad Dog' routine at this point. Walking with that hunch to his shoulders and his hair hanging down in front of his face. This was also a place were hollows came to hunt, and frankly that was the real reason he was here. He had not encountered any yet, but he hoped he would before the night was up. Plus the air didn't feel right. It was that sense one got when something wasn't exactly right. In fact the feeling frustrated him so much that he began to tap on his sword more and more as he drug his fingers gently along the grave tops. Little did he know or was thinking about was that the bad feeling he was getting, was the fact he wasn't doing to good of a job hiding himself.

"Hey wait!" rou turned her head quickly, following the sahdow that she had seen. Unfortunately for her shadow cats were quite the sneaky ones. Everytime she had looked in her latest acquaintance's (or what she was going to call the ghostly feline) it vanished before her eyes. It was a trick all shadow cats had. Whenever the other dimensional creatures where striding by, they could only be seen through the corner of one's eyes. Rou was an expert with these kinds of things though. She had even caught one of them before. This time though she had looked a bit too quickly and the cat had faded from her view. So she lost sight of it (just like everyone else who wasn't going to see the invisible cat she was apparently seeing). The espada remained completely still, a rarity for her, focusing. Her green eyes looked through her thick blonde bangs, awaiting for the site of the shadowy mass again. And in no time she had it again. It was running into a graveyard. Rou's face lit up and she spun around on her heels, chasing after the cat in the direction it had gone. There was something interesting in there! She could feel it!
And that feeling was correct. As Rou kept her head turned just the right way to follow whatever it was she was sure she was seeing, she spotted a man walking among the graves. Sudden;y Rou stopped chasing the cat. She stood straight up, tilting her head she she watched the man. It was then that she could tell. He wasn't a human. He was one of those bad guy shinigami fellows! He was one of the enemies of her beloved queen.
War might not have started but there was nothing wrong with picking off just one. There would be no proof. At least not to the shinigami. She would return to Zelena's side and tell her of the news. That the shinigami were nothing more than pixies and easily taken care of. Her queen would be so proud of her knight!
Rou released her butterfly swords from the holsters in her sleeves and with a smile she ran forward, acting as though she was going to sneak up and attack the man. That wasn't the case though. She jumped right over him, flipping in the air. Gracefully her feet came down upon a gravestone. One of her hands was holding up a black blade straight up to the sky, the other was pointing right at the shinigami. "Halt!" she orderer, standing up on her tip toes to look taller. "I can't let the evil one's pass!"" the girl announced and honestly it was about all but intimidating. She was a lanky girl with oversized clothes and her pigtails made her look even younger than her bright smiling face did. She looked more or less like an overgrown child playing superhero minus the cape.

The Shinigami continued to mumble softly to himself as walked along between the grave stones. The peace and silence of the outside world were so quite when compare to the sounds inside of his head. His Zanpakuto argued with each other in such an adorable and laughable fashion that the Shinigami almost didn't notice the face that he was indeed not alone among the gravestones of the dead. In fact it was Ningy who said, "I believe we are being wacthed..." About the same time that Ryou noticed it. He began to wonder and he began to ponder... who it was that it could possibly be. This person who was disturbing his thinking time that was spent under his mental Tumtum tree. Sighing to himself the Shinigami did not feel that there was any real risk, but he was ready just in case... and so did not immediately take his Zanpakuto in hand. He wasn't sure what the being was... that had wondering into the 'Dark Puppeteer's land. It took him a few moments to realize though, that the danger was actually more than he thought... in fact... he was quite sure that he was outclassed by his guest, which by it's spiritual signature appeared to be an Arrancar, and not that... yet probably one of the upper level Espada. Which meant that his choice of not instantly showing hostile intent might end up saving his life.
Looking slightly over his shoulder, without fully turn his head the Shinigami wacthed what looked to be teenage girl right towards him... though before he could turn around to face her. She flipped over him and landed on one of the near bye grave stones in front of his position. Standing their the Captain wacthed Espada with a sense of caution that was quickly swept away by her child like actions. It had nothing to do with underestimating her, but instead it looked as though she was someone who was a kindred spirit. Ryou had quite a odd way of thinking about the Arrancar when compared to most Shinigami, even though he never voiced it. The man considered them to be something that was separate form the average hollow because of there individualism and the fact they seemed to have personality and were almost like Shinigamis. So he always considered it best to approach them with a potential open palm of friendship first, then if they didn't accept that and attacked him... well then he certainly didn't mind killing in order to defend himself. Peace was always better solution if it could be helped... since less of your family was killed that way.
His forward motion towards her position was halted by her words, as he tucked his hair back behind his ears. To make it easier for them to communicate.. and it seemed a playful grin crossed his face as he realized that this Espada like to play games... oh goody goody. Approaching at a very slow pace, and making sure his hands where far away enough form his Zanpakuto to remain nonthreatening he said, "My Missstress I do believe that a cassse of missstaken identity hasss occurred here. I am not one of thessse 'evil onesss' that you ssseek. For I have come to help you fight the EVIL ONES!!!" The excited nature with which he said the last two words gave away the fact that Ryou spent most of his time acting like a overgrown child himself. Then with a very low bow and held his top hat over his heart as he said, "You may call me Kurosawa Ryou... jussst another fighter in the battle againssst EVIL!!!" He said the last word while shaking the fist that held his hat into the hair and smiling in that large Cheshire like grin at the hollow. The Captain was really having so much fun now... If this was how Espada played around... he started to wonder about his loyalties to his current employer. It was also obvious that he wasn't trying to lure her into a false sense of security... she wanted to play and so that was what he was doing. Ryou loved games, no matter how realistically he had to play... or even what the 'cost' ended up being.

When the man stopped, Rou didn't dare lower her blades. The minute she did she expected a surprise attack. These shinigami beings could not be trusted. They were the enemies that had wiped out near every arrancar that had opposed them before. Rou was of course a lot stronger than any of them had been and could obviously take down one little shinigami with ease but she didn't want to give a single one the idea that she could be played into their stealthy traps. So while he must have stopped, Rou still stood up proud, trying to show him that she was still very much was ready for anything.
Well she thought she was. This shinigami made quite the strange proclaimation though. He was claiming to not be evil while still clearly being a shinigami. He had made himself known for the sake of her finding him so that he could aid her in her quest for justice against the shinigami bad guys she was to face in the future. This was very confusing to her.
Rou lowered her arms to her side, tilting her head to the side. She knit her brows, pursing her lips as she looked over the man with unsure green eyes before her black and blonde bangs found a way to fall and block her view. She thought it over for a moment, tapping her foot on the grave stone just to have some movement since staying still was so hard. She wasn't sure if he was playing with her or was serious. She wasn't sure if trusting his word wasa good idea. Rou could sense their power difference. This wasn't to lure her into an attack but maybe a way to flee from her. Not that it would matter. She was fast.
Rou hopped down from the gravestone, returning the twin blades to their holsters under her long sleeves. "Ssssmiles! she greeted, using a spur of the moment nicknames instead of the name she had been given. Only the heroin had to have a memorable full name. "Do you swear upon the graves of griffins killed in cold blood that you speak the truth to me? She kept her chest pushed out, trying to look imtimidating still. If he could swear on such a thing as the slaughtered heroic, brave beasts then he had no right to speak to her like this. Griffins were no laughing matter for any noble hero of good. They were the ones who were to be left alone as holy to the sun and man rushed in on their treasures, even spilling the blood of the most valliant of heroes. If he made the slightest slip up in the recognition of such she would recognize it and see the falsity of his words. Of course just about any normal person wouldn't know what she was talking about, seeing it as childish rambling.

At this point the relaxed posture with which Ryou stood there would have to any other Shinigami seemed dangerous, if not suicidal... especially considering who he was standing across from. This was one of those moments that showed that Kurosawa really was a child at heart, and maybe even just as crazy as he seemed on the outside. Yes some of it had to do with the fact that he knew he was out matched by the Espada, and his best chance of living would probably be to escape. That wasn't what he was worried about though, because frankly... he wanted to play. This Arrancar seemed to be quite the playful and relaxed creature, though her child like nature came through with the conviction that every word was spoken. The Captain's eyes seemed to light up with glee at this discovery and along with that, his own child like nature was becoming apparent. It was also quite apparent to him that his reaction had caught the Espada off guard, which was to be expected... since technically he should have acted with hostility. This was not to be the case though, and she wouldn't even notice a single bit of satisfaction on his face at this fact. The Captain had always had a hard time hiding his emotions when in these more manic states. Which was why he had so much hair, because he also found it was good as a secondary poker face.
It was as she stood their tapping her foot that he finally noticed something else... it was the thing he had been trying to find the whole time they had been talking. Her number.... three... sitting right on the Esapda's cheek it had been hard to see at first. At that moment he truly realized the power difference, with the sight only reinforcing what he had felt. Waiting their in his still nonthreatening posture, Kurosawa continued with his at Rou even when she jumped down off the tombstone. Again he hardly seemed to react to the fact that she was closing the distance between them by a few feet. It wouldn't have mattered anyway in the long run, since he was quite sure that this Espada could cacth him if she wanted. Waiting until she spoke to him, his response to her new nickname for him came quick enough it seemed like that had been his name his entire life, "Yes what it isss it Missstresss?" It was his way of acknowledging the title, even going so far as to again bow with his hat to his heart. In this way acknowledging her as 'the leader'. They were supposed to be heroes after all... and the leader was usually the strongest hero.
Despite the fact though that he was indeed wrapped up in the fun game... Ryou was still himself, and frankly always would. This was why, when he heard the term 'Griffin' he instantly thought of the cranky yet lovable creature form Alice in Wonderland. Which to swear on such a things dead... that would be like letting someone come along and harm his new found friend... Griffin never hurt anyone. If their was one thing that Ryou couldn't do, and that was to break his principles on certain things. The main one being not to harm people you care about. Being that he cared about that character... well... he would accept the outcome, "Missstresss I regret to inform you that I can't do that. The Gryphon'sss I know are noble and helpful creaturesss who mussst be protected at all cossst. I am sssorry if you mussst punissh me for that transssgression then so be it, but I will not ssswear to such a thing. I do hope you underssstand though Missstresss, that herosss like usss who fight EVIL mussst not hurt thingsss that are noble and good like Gryphonsss." There wasn't a single bit of hesitation or thought to his words. They came out in manner that showed Ryou was speaking directly from his mind, and even stood a bit straighter than usual as though asserting his belief in his own words. Because he really did belief them... it was no act. If Ryou met a Gryphon he would never harm it... in fact the idea seemed exciting.

Rou could tell that the oath she had given Ryou to take was one that gave him some deal of trouble. She narrowed her eyes, getting her hand ready on her hip so that it could reach back over her shoulder with speed she she need to draw her sword. He would not only be slain for being an evil shinigami but also for lying to her. That was something she didn't see herself being able to forgive. Liars were trouble starters. Every time a liar told his tales to a king he would be filled with hatred and soon became an evil that had to be killed with no other options. It was the same sad story each time. She was not going to be lied to. And yet it seemed she had been.
Ryou could not let himself swear upon the life of the valiant creature Rou had instructed him to. If he could not do that then there was a fair chance that this was all some scam to free himself. That isn't something the tercera could allow to be on her record. She raised her hand up some, grabbing the handle of her zanpakuto behind her back. Something stopped her from immediately drawing it and ending the man though.
The way he spoke of griffins made it seem as though he understood exactly what they represented just as she did herself. She saw herself as one worthy of flying alongside griffins if any living beings were to be allowed to do so. They were the most heroic, brave and strong while all the while beautiful and gentle to those who took the time to look at them and not their treasures. And Ryou was getting all of this. He would not take a lie of a vow if it meant the disgrace of the fallen creatures. Rou might not have looked like some one who thought so heavily on things, but this wasn't fact. She was keen on the forces of good and evil. It was what she prided herself with and she could always tell when some one was noble or no greater than greedy scum.
"You cannot say that you aren't a liar" she repeated his words in a shorted form, not looking to pleased. Though she did let go of her sword. "But, neh, you must not be that evil if you can't stand that thought of the defiled griffins hmm?~" There was an instant change in the aura she gave off. A moment before she hadn't even begun to crack a smile but now she was smiling widely, her eyes sparkling. "Its a shame the shinigami's came and took you to their side" She pursed her lips, placing her hands upon her hips. If Ryou had been living as a human before then it was just those shinigami grabbing up whatever souls they could find to bring into their own armies. Ryou was just another victim of their's.
"You're minds probably really messed up by those shinigami huh? They even made you become one!" She was trying to give him some benefit of the doubt. Sometimes people just wound up on the wrong side of things without much of a choice. Those were the ones that had the tough battle of seeing right from wrong in the end. Many made the wrong choices, which in the end cost them their lives. Few others found the path of the light, repented, amended for their sins, and followed the truly pure and honest path that had been awaiting them all along.

By this point Ryou had no wish to draw his blade against the Espada even if she cut him down. At first this was something that had extended from the knowledge that it would be useless for him to do so, but over time that view had changed. Transforming into the simple fact that Ryou didn't want to hurt this Arrancar whom he considered could be a potential friend if their view points on things continued to match up like they were. It was the Captain's desire to have someone around who was as childlike, and in the same vein as straight forward about ideals of justice as himself. There was more to it than that though, but the man really didn't understand himself... not completely at least. What he did know was that the idea of fighting this girl felt wrong. This was the reason that when he saw the Espada reaching for her blade... the man didn't move, nor did he react in the way you would expect. Instead he just stood their as though she wasn't trying to threaten, but in a way he wondered if that would make him look weak... Kurosawa hoped that this wasn't true. What he was hoping was that it made him seem more like someone who didn't back down from what they believed, nor what they said... and he had told her his thoughts on Griffins after all. So now it was time to prove those words...
He could not say that he was not slightly surprised that the Espada believed him. It wasn't that he had been trying to lie to her, but had been simply telling her what he believed. The Captain could almost sense the hostilely draining from the air, as the game continued. From what the man could see he had been able to successfully reaffirm his credentials as a fellow hero to the Espada... at least that was what he hoped. The idea of being on the side of evil while playing a game, plus being on the opposite side of a friend was not exactly the most pleasant one to Ryou. He felt quite a bit more relaxed himself when she let go of her sword, and began to speak... the Shinigami found himself agreeing with what she said, "Indeed Misstresss." Kurosawa was a bit confused by what the female was saying, since he wasn't sure if she was calling him a lair or not. So he timed his reply to come after the Espada said that he couldn't be so bad for not wanting to hurt Gryphon. By this point the air seemed to have completely cleared and everything felt like a game again to the Captain, which simply meant... we can all relax and be friendly. Even his own Cheshire cat like grin that had almost faded now was spread across his face matching the look on the tercera's.
"You know what Misstresss I would certainly have to sssay it isss. I have alwaysss wondered why it was everyone ssseemed to treat me as the odd one out. I guesss that what happensss to those who are good when placed among evil?" Ryou found himself in the lucky position to be able to speak the truth to the Espada even if it meant putting a different interpretation on the words. Either way... when he thought about it for a bit, she could right... people never did understand his black and white sense of justice and the harsh nature that he carried it out. He laughed a bit in his usually playful nature in a way that showed it was something done in agreement to her words. Even the look in his eyes showed this, "Now that I think about it I believe you are right Misstress, and that doesss explain a few thingsss. Before the Ssshinigami ssstole me away from my home I cut off the head of sssomeone who was evil and didn't know who elssse to take it to, to make it known people would not need to be ssscared of him anymore. Ssso the firssst person I brought it to was a Sshinigami. Guesss me being a sssilly child didn't know any better, and well they kind of ssstole me off to join them." The funny thing was... Ryou was kind of fuzzy on the details of those days, because the trauma that had come before, and the fact he had blocked most of it out. Well it left room for his mind to fill in the gaps and believe any truth that he made up, since he didn't understand the events completely himself.
Strangely enough In'ei found the situation more interesting than alarming. The blade liked to play games, as much as Ryou... and frankly if this Espada could provide anything to her master that the Shinigami had failed to do so then she didn't mind. So long as they where careful, and didn't lose all of there friends that was all that mattered. The things and people that was important to their dear Ryou-chan was important to In'ei, Ningy, and Sukai... beyond that... the world could burn for all they cared. This meant they would have to teach him some new lessons though, the next time he meditated. The main one being that you have to keep your big mouth shut about the new friend you made.

"You took a body to the shinigamis? Neh they probably just reactivated it to be their minion all over again!" Rou pursed her lips, her brows knitting. She looked truly concerned. The shinigami really were the worst, They had captured this man and brainwashed him into their beliefs. It was among the worst kind of evil there was. They had picked him up and dragged him into their world. They had tainted him. It was unforgivable.
"Neh, listen!" she commanded, huffing out a heavy breath as her hands reassumed their place on her hips. She looked like she was about to throw some kind of tantrum. She really had been upset. The girl hopped down from the gravestone, looking an odd mix of clumsy and graceful all that the same time. Her legs bent awkwardly in her leap and yet she landed without a send, her hair flowing behind her in the messing pigtails it in. Again her bangs were left to fall into most of her face, allowing one eye to be seen and not much else. Her hair was one of her own worst enemy sometimes. Either way she was still determined on her previous task.
Rou took a few steps forward until she was standing but a few inches infront of the captain. She leaned forward, looking up at him with those same pouty lips plastered on her face. "Don't you go blaming yourself for the baka shinigami's sins alright?" She wanted to make sure that was out of the way. She gave him a kiddish smile to follow, giggling even as she stood up straight again, now eye level with him. "They probably made you do all kinds of bad stuff huh?" it was very unfortunate. Though in that there was also something Rou had to look out for.
This guy was still a shinigami. He might have been a lot better than the rest of them on this inside but he was still one of them. Rou believed in the power of good, but even she knew there were limits. Every story she had ever heard reminded her of this. This man could not be fully trusted. That bad blood was running through his veins and he still served under that old man that Rou had drawn so many bad mustaches on in pictures. No matter what his reasons were, even if it wasn't his own fault, he was an enemy still, though one that might be able to be swayed. If nothing else Rou figured she could get him to swear to silence. At best he would abandon those bakas and come be her own personal spy.

Nodding his head in agreement to her question, “Why of course Missstresss, I wasss a child and really didn’t know what elssse to do with it… it was more the head actually.” The Arrancar’s comment made the Shinigami pause for a moment, as he began to think about the possibility. At first the very idea itself seemed quite absurd, but the more Kurosawa thought about it the more he began to wonder. Strange things indeed were always coming out of the bowls of the 12th Division laboratories. They could very well be reanimating bodies in that place and bringing them back to life. For all he knew that man he had killed could be alive and well again because of such a technology… the very idea of which made him fume on the inside with a sense of deep betrayal. In fact the completely irrational thought about an event that he had no proof about, but was becoming such a reality in his head that it took him a few minutes to get himself under control. To the point that when she told him to listen… the Espada literally had snapped the man out of a dream state.
“What is Mistresses…?” Curiously he watched as the young looking creature jumped down off the grave stone and marched in his direction. The Arrancar’s movements were a mix of clumsy and graceful, that Ryou personally found to be quite amusing… and yet at the same time they reminded him of his younger self. Like in the days before he had truly found his footing with and rid himself of his bit more quiet and awkward nature. Purposefully the Shinigami let his own hair fall in front of his face, to playful match Rou’s… not really mocking… it was more like saying to himself, ‘hey look we match’. The man just stood there never moving even when the Espada approached, and was only inches in front of him. Kurosawa looked down at her curiously, while long raven locks were adjusted back over his ear, “Alright… I will try and remember that Missstress. You normally won’t find me to be a perssson who letsss what othersss do affect him in a negative way.” Once she had ascended back up to his eye level, his two black maniacal doll eyes stared into hers. Ryou was a very hard person to read, when he wanted to be… but for now he was letting his guard down a bit… on purpose of course.
You could see it in his eyes that there was pain there… like a dog that has been beaten over and again. The only difference is… that this dog was one that had grown up, and now it bit back. Basically… he was the type who had seen enough and his loyally could be taken up by someone who gave him a better offer. Kurosawa was certainly willing to prove it. This was mostly due to the suffering he watched when he was younger, and now even of his Lieutenant. Kurosawa didn’t like the idea of fighting for this high minded system of feudalism that treated those even has loyal as his dear Vice Captain like dirt.
Nodding his head in agreement to her words he spoke with a certain venom as he adjusted his top hat down, as a fire swept through his eyes, “Mistressss I can tell you that not only have they made me do bad thingssss, which form one I can now sssee was helping to harm any of your comradesss. Which I mussst apologize for. Plusss the many yearsss I ssspent fighting for an evil sssystem that hurtsss…” If Ryou’s eyes could have been on fire they would have been, but he quickly began to cool down, remembering the Espada’s words… that he shouldn’t blame himself. “Sorry Mistresss… it isss a bit to take in at once, if you know what I mean?” That Cheshire like grin returned to his face, as he stared at Rou. The Shinigami wasn’t stupid… he knew that she was still a hollow, and what that meant was that he had to be cautious around her. Kurosawa didn’t want to leave the Gotei 13 short of a Captain for no reason. No if he did that, then it was going to be because someone else gave him at least some more respect than simply what his rank afforded him, and he wasn’t simply a powerful ‘Mad Dog’ on a proverbial leash.

Rou smiled gleefully with Ryou's compliance. She had a deep hate for the shinigamis of such evil. Though she could see that there were a few good chances here and there who might not be a total waste of her time. She could save a poor defenseless soul that had been swept away by evil. She was already proving to be a hero without having to clash any blades. She could see that he was understanding. She could always read people. Looking through her bangs she could see the pain written in his eyes she could barely see through his own hair. He knew that what he had gotten himself into was perhaps on the wrong side. He was certainly thinking awfully hard on something.
"Any of my comrades that have been harmed became so because they gave into that shinigami man. No matter if the be against or with the Soul Society all the shinigamis have the same evil ideas of darkness implanted into their heads. And no matter what they linger their. Some can tame it better. Others are just very good at hiding it. That man was no different and so they got what was coming" she crossed her arms, giving a firm nod. She never thought much of the arrancar that had been wiped out before her. They were lead by a shinigami so they met the fate of one. This new group of them was much better off. Rou wasn't about to let that slip though. No one should know about the growing arrancars yet. Especially not a shinigami despite how well he was taking to her light.
"I know it must be difficult. Everything you know is some big smelly lie. Anyone would be a bit crazy over that" She giggled, uncrossing her arms, one going behind her back an the other patting the top of the shinigami's head in about as comforting of a way as she knew how. She slowly took her hand back letting in join her other.
"You know you're lucky" she mused, taking a few steps back to sit on a grave stone, kicking her legs back and forth in the air. Rou titled her head back, looking up at the sky with her eyes moving around though there wasn't anything there for them to follow. She really was a bit spacey and lacking in attention span for someone that was a hero. "I guess the universe must want to help you if the shadow cats are leading me to you. They are really rare and usually don't just let themselves get spotted for no reason" She assured, giving him a bit of motivation. The Light wanted to accept him. If it hadn't Rou would have found him by following a banshee or something.

For a second Ryou almost opened his mouth to disagree with her words. Even he himself considering the situation now could look back and take pity on the Arrancar’s who didn’t know better. They had all been manipulated by a very clever enemy, which he had only wanted to use them for a different gain. So it was because of this that he couldn’t see them as at fault either, especially considering that there was nothing they could have done in the first place. From what he knew they just were not strong enough to have defended themselves anyway. That was why her words stung a little, because he knew it meant there would always been a barrier of mistrust between him and new friend. In fact he could not help but let the words slip out of his mouth, “I hope you don’t think the sssame thing about me Missstresss.” Kurosawa actually did sound concerned, because he was. He was the type of person who did not like to have his friends have a bad opinion of him. Though the Captain knew he would have to prove himself to his new, but gaining such trust came in time. So there was probably no need to worry.
Still he felt he had to same something in those old Arrancar’s defense, “You mentioned that they had what wasss coming? Doesssn’t that ssseem a little harsssh, since they could have very well have jussst been brainwassshed like myssself. That Shinigami was known for hisss abilitiesss to be really good at brainwash afterall.” He hoped that the Espada wouldn’t take it as a challenge to her ideas, nor as insult, since the male was simply giving her a little something to think about. Plus it gave him a moment to ponder the fact that, this Esapada had a 3 on her body. That could only mean that their at least had to be a 2, 1, and potentially the 0/10. Beyond that was guesswork… and he couldn’t really be sure withier or not they had formed into a group yet, so he decided to keep his mind open. It didn’t really matter to Ryou overall, but if she was by herself, then she would certainly be easier to make friends with than in a group.
He couldn’t help but laugh softly as he looked at Rou with a bit of a sheepish smile as she patted his head, “You know I sssometimes thing I already went crazy a long time ago Mistresss-sssama.” The Shinigami just continued laughing as he reached out and imitated Rou’s actions, but instead ruffled the Arrancar’s hair playfully. Which mentioned about him being lucky the male became curious, “Indeed… tell me… what makesss today my lucky day, besides a hero such as yourself. Don’t really remember finding a clover?” He watched as suddenly the Espada spaced out before his eyes… now this was interesting. The young women definitely was a creature that lived with same mindset and world as himself. In fact the Captain himself started to phase out of reality for a moment, until sudden Rou’s voice snapped him back. Her explanation seemed just a fair though, “Ah the dear ssshadow cats, sssuch is destiny I mussst say. At leassst it wasssn’t sssomething bad leading the way, the Bundersssnacth and Jabberwock could have ruined the day.”

Rou tilted her head as she smiled sweetly, her hair that was even more messed up from Ryou ruffling of it easily covering most of her face. "You're lucky because I came along to remind you what a big baddy the shinigami really are. Well I mean most of them. But luckily enough one that wasn't such a big body of pure evil is the one i stumbled upon on my quest today. And I could help them see the light like a true hero! Also if it had been about any one else you'd probably be put in one of these graves. Not everyone is as understanding about people as I am. Those hollow dragons would eat you right up. So, neh~, be really glad" she explained, patting the grave stone over and over with her hands as if to push the fact that if it hadn't been her he really could have been some name on a nicely sculpted tombstone. Despite the grim truth of the subject she let out another soft giggle, a childish blush coming to her face to give it the glow of the youth she acted like.
"I know not all of you can be bad. I mean theres so many of you! It'd be a horrible world if that were true." she began to answer his previous question, finally stopping her hands. Her stillness didn't exactly last long though. She lifted up both her feet, feeling her balance give way. Rou began to fall backwards until suddenly gravity took its full toll and pulled her down to the earth with a thud that hardly seemed to phase the lanky espada. The sprawled out int the grass, looping the longer baldes around her fingers as she looked up to the sky. "All shinigami have a bit of evil in them though. Its like brainwashing." While she was beginning to find herself truly wanting to help Ryou he was still a shinigami with all of their lessons going through his head. It was dangerous to let her guard completely down. She was making that much known now with the answer she gave.
"And as for the others they should have fought against that man no matter what. He was the absolute worst and lead them to their destruction." she lifted her head up from the ground, peeking through her blonde and black bangs. "They didn't though. Giving into someone like that is just some excuse to become evil too. Being brainwashed is no different. If they were really good they would have had the strength of the light to overcome his mind games." While it was true it was not pleasant to see the previous espada fall the way they had it was just a fact that they had become what they had was enough to make it needed in Rou's mind. An army corrupted by darkness was one that had to fall no matter the cost.
Rou smiled to herself, looking rather proud for a moment for a reason she just couldn't state at that moment. She was overjoyed with her current leader. They were lead by one of their own. There was nothing that could possibly hinder them. With the queen and her loyal knight right at her side, They would reach all of the goals they had set and the world would be ridded of all the evil that tainted it.
