We can't have out of shape Shinigami walking around, now can we? The nighttime was helping his adventure greatly. It was nice to enjoy the scenery once in awhile, but the sun light was harsh on his skin. Sun burns sucked, even as a Shinigami, but mail must always be delivered. He was lucky normal humans couldn't see him, otherwise his travels would be expensive. Arizona is a hot place, but the night time air felt nice. It wasn't too hot, and it wasn't too cold. Lag was surprised at the lack of hollows around, were they going extinct? No. Impossible. He always expected America to be crawling with hollows. It's surprisingly a quiet trip. Usually, when lag is in Japan, it's crawling with Hollows. Maybe he should stay here for awhile. It was peaceful, and apparently a majority of the humans couldn't see him. It was lucky for him to be able to move freely like this, but it was also tiring. Lag had to stop for a bit, and balance his options on sleeping arrangements. It was night time, so the strange people would be coming out, but could they see him? He didn't want to risk the small chance that someone would be able to see him, so sleeping outside wasn't an option. He could sleep at the letter's destination, but he didn't know the person, and that person would be able to see him. It was also a risk, but was it any more riskier than sleeping on the ground? Lag was almost to his destination, but he decided to try sleeping in a hotel. He found a luxurious one nearby so he could sleep in style. This hotel room was taken, but he didn't care. The owner of it most likely couldn't see him, It was less risky than sleeping outside or sleeping at a strangers house. That also meant no annoying cleaning ladies will come in at ungodly hours of the morning. Occupied rooms were always best in the human world.

He had a nice, luxurious room to sleep in. The long day of meeting with elderly people was tiring. He had enough of them telling him he needed a hair cut. If they wanted to be judgmental while he was helping out, then maybe they didn't need help. It was a shame knowing that the people around will gladly accept his help, but will criticize him along the way. Why can't people be more thankful? He sighed, and decided to leave it alone. He got to his room and saw something strange. Was there a little boy in his bed? It was like someone was pranking him. Just because he was in a religious group, didn't mean he was a molester. What a wonderful end to this long day. He wondered who would be pranking him at this ungodly hour. He tried to sense other presences in his room, but he found no one. Wait, no. This was interesting. The little boy had a different spiritual presence than normal humans. He focused a little more and found it was a Shinigami. How sad. Who would kill someone this young? Llewellyn needed to move this kid to a safer location. His bed wouldn't do, but he could find something just as nice. He started shaking the kid awake and hoped to get a response from the little boy. It would be a shame if he were just laying there, dead. When his eye peeked open he felt relived. Why was he even thinking of dead kids anyway? He shook the thought of dead children out of his head and spoke to the child “Kid, it's not a good place to sleep. You're in my bed, but I can help you find a different place if you like.” He tried to sound as friendly as he could to not scare the child away, or anger it. | | |
