Proof Kubo is a troll.
Still quite enjoyed it though, I <3 Isshin.

Wha-? o.o
I'm thinking the next two chapters will be flash backs, after which we'll pop back into Soul Society to either see Unohana's funeral or her in a hospital bed, then Ichigo will go back to Nimaya's palace and train with an asauchi, from that training he might get a sealed state for Zangetsu and have a release command....Cause, I just see that happening...
Also, apparently Kizo's bio predicted something o.o If I understand what Tousen said, if that was Tousen who said it anyway.

Hmm, it was a good chapter, a very interesting one. Wierd that Rangiku was a leutinent while Toshiro was a third seat officer.

I agree 100% with Kizo. Also, I'm really not sure if we are even going to go back to HM...I liked it. It made sense and fit well. Also, the downfall of the Shiba please. ✭Ulqui-chan that is why I'm actually kind of afraid of what will happen next. What would force Rangiku and Toshiro to feel like they should work with Ichigo but not tell him anything.

The downfall of the Shiba was explained in Kukaku's history, she didn't give a shit about the social standing of her clan so they fell because she wasn't keeping up appearances. Though, there has to be something more to it, and didn't Rangiku say he was a head of a branch? So the Shiba's are like the Hyūga clan?
Did Rangiku and Toshiro ever actually encounter Isshin while they were in the World of the Living? If not then that explains why, because they didn't connect Ichigo to Isshin. Remember, he took Masaki's last name after they got married, so it was obvious no connection was made.
Also, perhaps Toshiro knew Isshin wouldn't want Ichigo to know and he held off, and managed to get Rangiku to hold off as well.

Well their reiatsu at least should have been similar, I thought. But, considering we knew Isshin was a captain for a while yet Toshiro nor Rangiku seemed to notice probably means your theory is correct.

Even if they had encountered Isshin in the living realm, they may have been adhering to some as of yet unforseen order he'd given them before he left/when they encountered him saying that they're not to mention who he was to Ichigo, that he wanted to tell him himself. That seems like something Rangiku and Toshiro would listen to, especially considering the probable respect they had for him as their Captain.
