So yeah, as most of you have probably already heard, we're moving to jcink. v5 will be forced here sometime this month, maybe even tomorrow, and a lot of people have said they don't want to deal with v5. And really, the AP on it is too confusing for me to work with. So that's why we're moving to jcink. It is only a move, not a restart. You can continue your threads here on the new site. Just make a new thread there (if it's your turn to post) and link the thread here with your post. Your characters keep their current stats, you'll just need to copy/paste their stuff into the new templates, which have been somewhat shortened. There is no official date that we're moving to the new site, since I have no idea when it'll be done. All that said, I took this move as a chance to fix some things around the site. New rules are being added.
-Every character requires a face claim. No more stealing OCs. Also less confusing for us to keep track of, since we can't exactly list a bunch of links to original art; no one would click them all to see if theirs is taken. If you draw your own, just find a FC that looks similar to the drawing. Then you can still use your own pics.
-No ripoffs. You can no longer use the name of your character's face claim. I'm not going to go as far as to go through their wiki to see if the personality/powers are ripped, but yeah, make up your own names.
-High positions (captain, espada, sin, obelisk) must post at least once a week to keep their spots. Gotei Lieutenants and Consecro Guardians must post at least once every two weeks to keep their spots. If you cannot handle this, don't take up those spots. We need active people in those roles.
-Don't jack other people's templates. Go to a resource site (Synesthesia, Gangnam Style, Back to Neverland) and get one, get someone from here to make one, or make your own. Do not rip one off a site, make minor edits, remove the creds, and call it your own. Do so and you will be denied the right to use templates. Even if you use someone else's template as a base, you are to credit them.
-Lastly, as rule some of you might not like: our limited ranks. Lately, people have been acting as if AV is a low rank. Some bitch when they don't get EL (which is supposed to be an exceedingly rare rank), and some spam AVs like no tomorrow. Here's the thing: AD isn't even supposed to be a weak rank. It means Adept, which isn't weak. Advanced is even stronger than this. I'm tired of people wanting to have armies of OP fuckwads, so I'm putting this in place:
1 auto EL per member
2 auto AVs per member; both must be different levels (can't have 2 AV-0s)
3 auto ADs per member; again, can't all be AD-0
BGs and NVs are free game.
Keep in mind that if you work a BG up to AD, they still count as your auto BG, since they started as a BG. And if you already have an EL but level a character up to EL, you can keep both, since the other one was actually somewhat earned.
So hopefully, that'll add some incentive and make it easier for lower ranks to find threads that they won't be slaughtered in.
On another note, jcink has some cool features. There's account switch, which allows you to link sub accounts to your main and switch through a drop-down list. Really convenient if you have a lot of characters. There's also a music player in the mini-profile (where your ava etc. is beside your posts). To get a song to play in it, edit your profile, go to mp3skull, look up the song you want and get the url of the download link. Then just c&p that link into the music field. Some people might not care about that but I think it's awesome. Also, maybe not cool to those who are used to pb, but templates on jcink use dohtml as opposed to tags and shit. So it's basically like building a site; you can have a stylesheet with all your CSS in the temp as opposed to it being cluttered with code.
If you want an example, scroll to the last post. That's the arrancar template I made. Most of the CSS is between the style tags, hopefully making the app a little less confusing.
And I almost forgot about app changes. Likes/dislikes are no longer a thing as they seemed a little pointless. History is no longer mandatory unless you are taking a high rank. And Zanpakuto/fullbring/etc will have its own template that includes the techniques. Then we can grade them as a whole. Class/level and stats will be kept in a staff post on the app page so that they can't be tampered with. When you earn points, you can just tell me where you want them, and I'll edit them for you. Also... don't make your cbox name your character's name. It's not an ic box anyway.
And that's all I can think of right now. If more news arises or I think of anything else, I'll add it in another post here.

Also, new Visored rule. Instead of the static 10, it's going to be 1 per 10 characters (on the site as a whole). So if we have 50 characters, there will be 5 visored spots. Coincidentally, current visoreds don't have to worry about losing their status as we have 90 characters and 5 visoreds total right now. While that number is sure to drop upon relocation, it's doubtful that it'll drop below 50.
For those of you who can't edit your own pics and still need a 200x300 icon, PM me and tell me your FC and I'll find/edit a nice one for you. Given this and the FC rule, there's no excuse to not have an icon!
Annnd, the site should be done in a week or less. Arrancar power template is up, will try to get the rest up before the move but it's iffy. Also look out for the Julian app as I'm going to approve it myself in due time to show how the new approval system works.

Just to be clear, Visored spots WILL NOT be available at the start of the site because of the new "1 visored per 10 characters rule". We have room for 5 with our current base and the people who have Visoreds here naturally will be taking those 5 spots. If you want a Visored, you'll have to wait until another spot becomes available.
So yeah, the 5 open Visored spots are reserved for pheonix, ulqui, tyler, vince, and tas.

Lots of things are being added/changed while I have the chance. there may be more to come:
-subdivision onmitsukido added to gotei 13
-subdivisions non-fraccion numeros and exequias added to espada
"Those with high REI may be able to slow the movement of their opponent(s). This is possible if the character in question has a high advantage in the rei stat compared to their opponent(s). Arrancars with REI 6+ or higher than their opponents can resist being cut by said opponents using their Hierro. The same is true for Quincies and Blut Vene." -has been added to the REI stat. So yes, Blut Vene and Hierro have mechanics now.
-HAK changed to physical strength and hand-to-hand while reaction time has gone into HOH
-spiritual attack accuracy is now governed by SEI, although physical attack accuracy is still in BUK
-bankai now has a static requirement of 15 REI
-Espada res now gets 10+, while other arrancars will still get the standard 8+
-Quincy: Letzl Stil and Blut Arterie now have stat boosts. Stil gets 6 while Arterie gets 4. However, only one form may be used per thread. This includes Quincy: Vollstandig
-Sigils have a second form, much like Bankai, called "Ardor". It gives +8 and is available for Consecro humans EL-2 or higher with Sigils
-Healing in battle is no longer banned, though it will still be tough to pull off due to the nature of most healing techniques.
-The banned ability list is no more. But mods will still nerf anything too OP. And since zans/fullbrings/etc. all need to follow the same theme, dual elements will not be allowed. The same is true for stat-boosting techniques.
-Some reqs for natural abilities have increased/decreased :
ARRANCAR Bala: at least 8 in SEI Cero: at least 6 in SEI Descorrer: at least 7 in SEI Gran Rey Cero: at least 15 in SEI; must be an Espada Hierro: is proportionate to REI Pesquisa: at least 15 in SEI Resurreccion: all Arrancars can use Resurreccion Sonido: at least 10 in HOH
BOUNT Manifest a Doll: at least 8 in REI Opening a Senkaimon (with the help of a Quincy): at least 17 in REI
FULLBRINGER Bringer Light: at least 10 in HOH Object Affinity: at least 8 in REI
HOLLOW Soul-body Separation: all Hollows can do this Acidic Touch: all Hollows have this Cero: at least 13 in SEI; only Menos-class can use Ceros as Hollows Garganta: at least 5 in SEI Negacion: at least 10 in SEI; only Gillian-class Hollows can use this High-speed Regeneration: at least 13 in REI
QUINCY Hirenkyaku: at least 10 in HOH Blut Vene: at least 16 in REI Blut Arterie: at least 16 in REI Quincy: Letzt Stil: at least 13 in REI; AV-3+ and Sanrei Glove Mastery Ransotengai: at least 14 in SEI Quincy: Vollstandig: at least 18 in REI; EL-2 or higher Kirchenlied: Sankt Zwinger: at least 20 in SEI
SHINIGAMI Shunpo: at least 10 in HOH Kaido: at least 12 in SEI Utsusemi: at least 16 in HOH Senka: at least 18 in HOH Shunko: at least 20 in HAK and 20 in SEI Eishohaki: at least 12 in SEI Niju Eisho: at least 14 in SEI Shikai: at least 7 in REI Bankai: at least 15 in REI; AV-3 or higher
VISORED Cero: at least 15 in SEI Hollowfication: at least 16 in REI +Shinigami abilities
Merry Christmas?

Site will be opening in 1-2 hours, so I figured I had better explain the new approval process.
From now on, you do the main part of your app first. You don't touch the power sheet until the main app is given a class/level. This way you can make techs that fit the level. After your powers are approved, staff will copy paste them code and all into the profile thread and add your allocated stats to it at the bottom. If ever you need your power/stat sheet modified, you can post in the notification thread requesting the edits.
About the notification thread, some of you may be familiar with what that is, but just in case, it's where you'll post when an app/tech sheet/etc. is done to let mods know. Do not post on your profile thread anymore. Said notification thread will be located in the registration forum, so you'll want to check that out.
So the char approval system basically goes like this now:
you post your profile >> when done, post in notification thread with link >> mod gives you grade if everything is good. if not, they will tell you what needs to be changed and you will complete the edits before again posting in the notification thread with a link. >> once everything is good, you apply stat points in another post in your profile thread. this is the only time you need to post there. >> if points are wrong, you'll be asked to change them and again post in notification thread. >>when points are good, you do your power template. same process as before if changes are needed. >> when powers are approved, mod will move thread to approved, post your power template + stats at the bottom of it in your profile thread, delete all other comments, and move to approved. So basically, once your power template is at the bottom of your app, you're good to go! Might sound confusing at first but it's actually easier in the long run and pro threads won't be cluttered with posts.
If you still need an example after that, I'll be approving one of my own profiles, so you guys can take a look at that when the site is made public.
