These techniques are meant for my character, Asenet Esquivel, who I am hoping can take the vacant Quinta Espada seat. Her Ressureccion is based around the manipulation of distortion; I hope that that helps in the evaluation of these techniques.
Techniques:
For: Hormiguero's Ressureccion
Name: Metrónomo Fluvial (Metronome of the River)
Type: Defensive
Cooldown: Usable in Four [4] Posts
Cost: Moderately Taxing
Range: Short
Description:
A swish of her hips, and a distortion field erupts from her core, making her the Mistress of Time in her own limited domain. As she swings through the center point of her arc, a measured one second passes. The speed with which she passes through this seductive arc is at her own leisure.
The downside of this time dilation lies primarily in its range, which only extends roughly a meter in radius from the Arrancar's center of gravity. It's secondary, and most crucial weakness, lies in its mechanics. The swing of her hips control the passage of time within her limited domain; however, any movement that she makes to transport herself to another location requires her hips to fall through their arc, effectively speeding up time. For Metrónomo Fluvial to be entirely successful at stopping an attack, Asenet must not move from where she is standing, lest she speeds up time with the movement of her hips. Although her hips may be held askew, effectively stopping time around her, the strain of such manipulating such energies does not lend the technique to be used that way for extended periods of time.
Metrónomo Fluvial may be used to dilate time to slow or speed up an opponent's attack for a maximum of three [3] posts. If ever she feels daring and decides to stop an assault entirely, the opportunity is fleeting, and may only be used for one [1] post. This would only give her the time needed to either dodge or defend as she saw fit.
The technique does not guarantee Asenet's evasion of an attack, however. Also, the speed of the attack does not affect the damage that it is meant to deal; the slowed strike of a sword will still hit just as hard as intended.
While Metrónomo Fluvial is in use, Asenet is unable to attack until the time around her has returned to its natural course, which takes one [1] post.
For: Hormiguero's Ressureccion
Name: Carpintera Mielera (Honeypot Carpenter)
Type: Offensive, and Defensive
Cooldown: Usable in Six [6] Posts (Following Reabsorption of All Ants)
Cost: Insanely Taxing, with a Severe Hit to Hoho
Range: Long
Description:
Having released her true form, Asenet reclaims her throne as Queen of her own anthill, her own Hormiguero. However, a queen is nothing without her workers, and in her released form, they have been returned to her, her army of Carpintera. As a manifestation of her former colony, the Arrancar's body itself serves as a home for her minions, which bubble just under the surface, waiting to be birthed once more, and see the light of day.
There are a total of six ants that this jaded vixen can produce, though they are of two distinct types, called Las Puras and Las Podridas, which are similar in appearance. One would think that they were merely large ants, had their odd coloration, or articulation, not given them away. Their carapaces are bone white, showcasing their hollow roots; although they are white all over, their heads, their would-be spines, limbs, and portions of their abdomen are more dense, leaving their undersides more or less transparent. Las Puras are the larger of the two species, and they show it. Her burnt cream colored reiatsu sloshes in their distended abdomens, visibly borrowing her spirit, her strength. The ants stand approximately three feet high (and about four feet long, as well), the sharp tips of their antennas just reaching the underside of Asenet's breasts . It's a wonder how they were ever birthed in the first place. Las Podridas, however, are dwarfed by their brethren, measuring less than half their size at nearly one foot tall (and two feet long), their shorter antennas offset by the length of their limbs and crushing pincers. Where Las Puras were all body, Las Podridas are all limbs, proportionately. The hierro of Las Puras is roughly half [1/2] as strong as Asenet's, given the speed that she gifts them upon their birth. On the other hand, that of Las Podridas is roughly three fourths [3/4] as strong, given that these are the warriors that will see combat direct combat more often.
At any one time, Asenet can produce up to four [4] of Las Podridas and two [2] of Las Puras. One ant, regardless of type, may be laid every other post, until her maximum [6] is reached.
Each type of ant has its own specialty. Las Puras, are much faster than their brethren despite their larger size, owing their speed to their larger stores of their hosts energy. As such, producing them is much more taxing for Asenet, each reducing her own Hoho (HOH) by four [4], and her Reiryoku (REI) by three [3]. Las Puras attack with their sword-like antenna, using them as one would dual wield a pair of katana. Las Podrias, on the other hand, are much less taxing to produce, though as a result, they move more slowly; still, each reduces the Arrancar's Hoho (HOH) by one [1], though her Reiryoku (REI) only by two [2]. They use their limbs' brute strength and harder carapaces, to fight, their jaws working to crush whatever may get in their way.
The key mechanic of this technique is the creation of an anthill made of distortion energy, created in the wake of whatever path the ants may take. Not bound by terrain, the ants may crawl in any direction that they see fit, even through the air, leaving behind a tunnel of hardened, transparent reiatsu. It is easy for Asenet to weave. With three or fewer [3] workers under her control, Asenet can control their every movement; more than that, and it becomes impossible for her (at this level) to manipulate each ant individually, forcing her to use them in pairs, each mirroring the one in front of it.
If Asenet's Seijuu (SEI) is higher than, or equal to, an opponent's Hakuda (HAK), Bukijuu (BUK), or Seijuu (SEI), depending on their mode of attack, the network of tunnels that her drones create will remain undamaged. If an opponent's Seijuu (SEI) is lower than that of Asenet's, the tunnels will appear unperceivable; if equal, their trembling outlines will be visible; if higher, the entire network will be perfectly visible to her opponent.
Its effect may last up to five [5] posts, upon which each ant must be recalled and reabsorbed, lest they lose all of her borrowed reiatsu to the wind, or possibly even her opponent. Following their absorption, the distortion trails remain for two [2] posts before they begin to quickly vanish, starting from where they first began. Upon their absorption, Asenet's Hoho (HOH) and Reiryoku (REI) steadily return to their normal levels with each ant.
If an opponent is able to destroy one of Las Puras, and so absorb that portion of Asenet's Reiryoku (REI), they will gain a three [3] post boost to their Reiryoku (REI) of one [1] point.
Maximum Reduction to Stats
Hoho (HOH) ;; Minus Twelve (-12)
Reiryoku (REI) ;; Minus Fourteen (-14)
For: Hormiguero's Ressureccion
Name: Cáscara Picajoso (Paper Carapace)
Type: Defensive
Cooldown: Usable in Two [2] Posts
Cost: Negligible
Range: Short
Description:
With a swift movement, Asenet is able to shuck her entire exoskeleton, leaving an empty shell, save for its spine, which stays with her, and is the source of the carapace that forms soon after. In the moment between where her hierro-enhanced carapace is shed and her new carapace grows in, the span of little more than a second, she is vulnerable. The detached shell holds the position that she did at the moment that the technique was activated.
Having momentarily rid herself of all protection for a brief moment of defense, the Arrancar is able to reunite with the carapace, which grants her one of two options. She may wear the carapace as armor, relinquishing movement in favor of sacrificing the shell to an attack; or, she may transport herself to any existing carapace that may remain unshattered on the battlefield. In either case, upon her reentry, a wave of distortion energy sweeps upward in a dome around her, attempting to knock back any physical presence about her. Once the journey is complete, both shells disintegrate.
A sufficient blow, taken from an opponent whose attack strength, be it measured in Hakuda (HAK), Bukijuu (BUK), or Seijuu (SEI), is greater than the Arrancar's Hankou (HAN) is enough to shatter this shell of an exoskeleton. (This applies to the carapace in any form, whether she is wearing it or not.)
Each carapace will last for only two [2] posts after the one it is created in; whether it takes damage sufficient to destroy it or not, or if it is remerged with, the arrancar's former shell will crumble at the end of (Asenet's) next post.
Asenet may not shuck and merge with the same shell in the same post.
Intra-carapace teleportation is unavailable to her when sapped of more than half of her Reiryoku (REI), either by use of her own taxing techniques, such as Carpintera Mielera, or outside means.
For: Hormiguero's Ressureccion
Name: Olor (Scent
Type: Passive
Cooldown: Usable in One [1] Post
Cost: Negligible
Range: Short
Description:
The scent of Asenet's blood, once spilled, is enough to encourage a frenzy. It smells of more than lust, something much more attractive, and yet even more primal.
The larger the difference in Reiryoku (REI), the greater the tug on her opponent's senses, drawing out a carnal urge to utterly destroy her with their bare hands, and nothing more.
Thank you for your time, and I look forward to your feedback. AeGis, out.
