When Roxanna woke up that morning it was with a pounding headache. One a lot worse than just the normal drunkken night would bring her. In fact, her entire body was sore and bruised and her shoulder was especially looking messed up. She sat there for a good ten minutes, trying her hardest to piece together what had left her in this shape. Was there a big battle? Had she hit her head and been brought back to her room in the barracks? That hardly made sense. If she was injured in a battle she'd be cooped up with the wusses in squad four. So if she wasn't in a fight...
No wait... Something came to her that made her suddenly come to and understanding. She had bits and pieces of memories of standing on bar tables, breaking wood over a giant's head and beating the ever loving hell out of some poor kid.. And another kid.. a really annoying kid. Just the thought of him made her chest hurt and she remembered a certain boobshot she had been struck with. That shit hurt. She wondered who the hell those guys were, actually able to put up a fight against her. They had to be damn skilled to put something like that off.
Now she was out walking around the streets of the Seireitei, actually on her way to get yet more drinks. She wasn't about to go to squad four's barracks but damn her body hurt. So she'd heal it in her own way. Getting some drinks then bailing out without paying like she did all the time. Really it was a wonder she wasn't turned down at the door. She must have been so likable that they just couldn't stand to kick her out. Yeah right. It was because when she did pay it was a whopping lump of cash when she was drunk enough to buy round after round for the entire place.

A groan left the poor, brusied Shinda's mouth, his eyes cracking open as he rolls over in his bunk. Last night was a blur, filled with nothing but violence, drinking, and an angry woman who he remembered hitting in the head with a thrown beer bottle. A small chuckle left his lips at that, and then another wave of pain swept through him, making Shinda clench his teeth.
"My, I've never seen your ass handed to you this well before, Shinda. Tell me, how does it feel to have your entire body beaten and bruised?" Ekibyou teased with a sarcastic tone. Shinda only groaned more. "Shut up Ekibyou. I don't need your input right now." He sighed. Although he respected Ekibyou a great deal, sometimes he wished his zanpakuto wasn't always getting on his case. "I am in your head, you know. I can hear your thoughts." Shinda only groans in response. "I know, I know."
With a sigh, the man rolled out of bed, and stood up, hissing as pain rocketed through his body. That fight had definitely taken a toll on him, his whole body felt like it was being constantly beat and cut with every breath and movement he took. Stretching a little, Shinda picked up his zanpakuto carefully and began to move towards the outside of the barracks, the gates his goal. Maybe he could go to the Squad Four barracks and get some medicine to at least take the pain away? It was as good a plan as any. So, Shinda made his way out, and began to walk the streets, not really paying attention to anyone, more so being distracted by the pain.

Roxanna turned around the corner that lead to her favorite bar. Just as she did she spotted a familiar 4th seat she had met a while back, or at least she figured it was him. she had been a little bit drunk then. She doubted there were a large number of guys with random green streaks in their hair. It wasn't fairly common. Of course right now there was no telling. He looked like he had been beaten to hell and back the same way she had. Jeez, maybe there was some big battle she completely forgot about. He looked like he was heading to the Squad Four barracks. The pussy, Oh well. Some people just couldn't handle the pain.
"The hell happened to you?" She stopped, placing her hand on her hip as she looked Shinda over, realizing he really to quite the beating. How he got up was beyond her. Hell she didn't know how she herself managed to get up that morning. She just shook her head, giving a quiet, amused laugh. Seemed no one was having a good night. When she had gone to wake her captain up she saw a huge red mark still on his face. She could only imagine how he went about getting that. Now that he had a new drinking cup he was probably using it well. The light weight. Roxanna nodded her head to Shinda, a little gesture to show she felt his pain, maybe even showing a bit of respect, befre she began walking though.
It was no more than three steps later that she stopped again, suddenly looking a lot more seriously. She just stood there before slowly turning around, her eyes suddenly burning with dangerous hatred. Suddenly it hit her, another memory from the night before. "It was you..." Her eyes fell on Shinda, a terrifying look in them that rivaled the deadly glare she gave him last night. "You threw a bottle...at my head" she growled lowly. So that was why her headache was so extremely painful. Oh.. Shinda Chinmoku was a dead man. There was no doubt about that. Roxanna smiled, but not a happy kind of smile. The way her face was shrouded in an angry shadow, and how her brow was twitching. It was even more clear that she wasn't happy with this boy when she cracked her knuckles, balling up her fists. "Shinda...wasn't it?" She was just waiting for that boy to flee and despite any pain she had she was sure as hell going to chase after him. She didn't hate him. She would be fine and dandy after making him pay for that last hit.

In all of three seconds, everything went downhill. Shinda had paled as Roxanna had come into view, but tried to keep his composure as best he could. Unfortunately though, the Lieutenant had noticed him, probably because of the limping gait he had, and asked what was wrong. "N-Nothing." He states as she walks past him, a bit of relief washing over him. Maybe he could get away from this...
But then, misfortune happened. Roxanna's voice spoke, and called him out, causing Shin to freeze. He turned, and saw the terrifying smile and the anger-filled eyes, and he began to panic. 'Shit, she remembers last night, SHE REMEMBERS!' He panics in his mind, an all-too familiar feeling of being a dead man drifting over him. If Shinda could right now, he would even take his Lieutenant and Captain's wrath then the girl in front of him.
"Shinda...wasn't it?" her voice calls out, and he snaps his attention back to her. The look in her eyes told him she was going to chase him down if he ran, as well as telling him that no matter what he was going to get a beating. Shinda panicked, his eyes portraying his torn mind, before he freaked and thrust his hand out, bowing his head in apology as he holds his hand out to her. "I am so sorry for what I did yesterday!"

Shinda just freaked out. He shot forward in a bow, probably ready to beg for mercy. He was wigging out before her, and Roxanna only glared at him. She paid no attention to his manners of bowing in apology for giving her this massive headache. "Stand up and show some fucking pride!" she shouted with a snarl. She wasn't going to hit some sissy who feared her. Okay she was going to hit him either way but it would be a hell of a lot more satisfactory if he was actually going to stand proud as a man. She just rolled her eyes, quickly grabbing her zanpakuto from her side, sheath and all, sliding it from its sheath. She wasn't going to use the actual blade on him but soon to be hurt even more Mr. Shinda Chinmoku did not have to know that.
"Get up and stop apologizing like a pussy bitch. Its not going to do you any good Shinda" she said his name in an especially low one, trying to instill as much fear as she possibly could. She was leaning forward, her blade, as well as the sheath she'd actually hit him with, ready to strike. She was smiling darkly. Anyone that had been on the street before had already backed away some or just plain got out of there while they could. Roxanna was a beautiful woman, but she was clearly a scary and deadly one at the same time.
She wasted no time in running forward, which still hurt a decent amount. When she got withing her striking distance she swung her good arm which held her sheath. She wasn't about to make the mistake of throw a hit with a fractured collar bone. She aimed the broad end of the black sheath to land directly at the back of Shinda's head about where she had been hit with the bottle the evening before. It wasn't a held back hit either. Sure she wasn't slicing his head off but she was going to to make sure he was really damn sorry. None of that bowing and shouting bull shit. A really painful retribution. It would sure as hell make her feel a lot better that was for sure.

Shinda quickly pulled himself up straight as he was reprimanded by the raging Lieutenant. His mind was in a whir, torn between staying and taking the beating, so as not to incur more pain and wrath from her, or running like hell away and invoking her anger. Right now, either way he was most likely going to get hit, and with the condition his body was in, he might end up hospitalized, or worse. He paled, staring at Roxanna as this thought crossed his mind.
Shinda glanced around, and saw that no one was around. Most likely they had left when they saw the pissed off woman who was most likely going to put Shin into the 4th Squad Emergency Wing. "So, is this it, Shinda? Are you really just gonna be rolled over by her, just going to lay down and get defeated? And I thought you were stronger than that." The cold voice of Ekibyou cuts through his thoughts, making him pause. 'But...Ekibyou...what do you expect me to do? I-I'm going to die!" He protests, but Ekibyou cuts him off. "I did not give my power to a coward. I gave it to you, because I thought you would use my strength wisely. Perhaps I was wrong."
Shinda began to protest, before the sound of rushing footsteps and the rushing wind surrounding an object cut towards him. His eyes widened as the sheath descended, and in a moment instinct took over. He pulled his blade and raised it to block the incoming strike of the sheath, using both hands to try and stop the force. Shinda wasn't exactly a strong guy, and this tended to be used against him during training. He looked at Roxanna, fear in his eyes, but he held his ground.

“Bloody hell… First I’m told I have to clean up the mess in front of Squad eleven’s barracks, and now I have to take care of two drunken louts… Why, if I only had Bankai, I’d stick BOTH of their heads on the end of my blade.” Watt continued his incoherent grumbling, muttering everything he said in such a way as that it all melded into some unintelligible drivel. The expression on his face as he jogged onwards was one that would likely instil fear into the weak of heart – and, quite possibly, those of average heart strength. He may have been a doctor, but there were times when his surgical precision was not used for the best of reasons.
The brawl that had gone on earlier had not gone unnoticed – unsurprising, considering its participants. And, for a reason Watt was unable to fathom, he had been appointed to the task of recovering them. While he would not have minded, as it was generally his duty to heal, he was annoyed at the fact that he was being treated as little more than an aspirin. What amplified this, however, was the fact that he had been working for far too long than was natural. And, though he was only slightly affected by his lack of sleep, he was as mad as all hell. The more discerning among people would be able to practically taste the anger he radiated.
While some would have felt some degree of relief upon finding their quarry, so that they could go back and do whatever it was they needed to, Watt’s face sunk even further into the depths of fury. He had found who he was looking for, and instead of them plodding back to base like most hung over people would, they were fighting. “Damn it. Not only do I have to help defuse this situation, I’m going to have to drag them back afterwards. I swear, if I was three hundred years younger…” Watt slowed down, now pacing, though it seemed more as if a demon was lumbering towards the pair.
“YOU TWO!” he roared, “Put the bloody swords away! Just stand still and stay calm, or I will personally sever EVERY TENDON IN YOUR [redacted] BODY. I then personally drag you back to Squad Four’s barracks, and will leave you in the care of our trainees. Do you know the success rate for them? Because it’s LOW AS HELL.” Subconsciously, Watt had drawn his Zanpakutō at the two, but he was not complaining – in fact, he was more than willing to use it. If it meant working off his aggression, then he was more than willing to dice a lieutenant and a fellow fourth-seat into bite-sized chunks.

Well. How about that. Shinda actually managed to man up and hold his ground. He managed to catch her sheath despite the power she put into her swing. A wimp would have crumbled under the blow from the notoriously rough lieutenant. Shinda had some balls it seemed Roxanna smirked, thinking she might really enjoy this, even more than fighting when she was drunk. It was always more fun to face someone with some guts. "You look a little scared boy" she noted, pushing on her sheath some more, trying to push Shinda's zanpakuto away.
Just then there was some blaringly loud yelling. Roxanna looked to its source with a hardly amused look on her face. She just glared at whoever this guy was that thought he had any right to butt into this. She knew he wasn't of her rank or even what squad he was until he said it himself. He was a squad four noob. Was this guy serious? She just glared at him in the most mocking way. She wasn't about to become a changed, not so rough, nonviolent person just because some guy weaker than her from squad four told her to. "Why don't you run along to take care of some prostrate exams huh? I'll be sure to send this guy straight to ya when I'm done with 'im" she shot him a wink which was obviously only meant to further make fun of him. She didn't have time for this guy. She really did hope he'd just run along and do whatever kind of things squad four did.
That guy did serve some purpose though. He would probably get Shinda's attention the same way he had gotten her own. That would leave that no good, girl fighting, bastard wide open if for even a split second. She only need that long too. In an instant she had her foot drawn back and kicking forward, aiming right for the low blow of a swift kick to his crotch. Roxanna didn't care. She had gotten a boobshot the day before! The woman was hardly above unfair shots even if it wasn't Shinda who had landed that blow. To be safe she pushed off with her other foot, leaping a few feet back, sliding to a stop on the dirt street. God she was so sore. All she wanted to do was go get drunk, maybe even drag Shinda along with her despite the medical attention they both needed. Really she wanted to go get drunk even more just to spite that squad four member.

Shinda paled as the sheath clashed against his, and held his ground as best he could against the monstrous Lieutenant in front of him. In fact, Shin was beginning to wonder who was the scarier of the two, Roxanna or his own Lieutenant. Although his money was still on Tsubaki, Roxanna was turning out to be a very terrifying contender. She called him out on his fear, and he gulped as she pressed the sheath more, making Shin's feet slide back a few inches. "Y-Yes...I am. T-Terrified...to be correct." He chuckles nervously.
As she asks, a voice, loud and familar, speaks up. He turns his head, and blinks, recognizing his friend from Squad Four, who didn't seem to be in the best of moods. He was yelling and roaring at the two to put away their swords, and started to curse a bit, making the Fourth Seat cock his head. Shin didn't think Watt had that kind of brutality within him, he must be tired again, like last time.
As he began to go into thought, the sound of swishing air made Shinda's eyes widen as Roxanna made a kick for his jewels. Instinct took over, and no matter how painful it was, Shinda Shunpoed backwards, out of reach. His training began to kick in, and he sprung backwards onto the rooftop of the nearby building, backflip up and over the edge to the other side. As he began to go out of site, he did something he would regret: He stuck his tongue out at Roxanna, and gave a peace sign with his free hand.
In hindsight, he wasn't sure why he did it. Perhaps it was for the attempted kick to his crotch, or perhaps a little of his drunkeness had rubbed off on him, or maybe Ekibyou had begun to rub off on him. Either way, as soon as Shinda touched ground, he ran. He ran as fast and asd hard as he could, to gain as much ground away from Roxanna as physically possible. He would no be dying tonight, no sir.

Normally, Watt would not have reacted to the taunting. He had taken worse from less intelligent people. However, this was not normal Watt – this was tired, overworked, irritable Watt, who would likely snap if you squinted at him in the wrong way. “Prostate exam?! I’ll give you a bloody course of bloody suppositories! I’ll shove syringes so far up you, you’ll be coughing up penicillin!” Without thinking, Watt dashed in, though his thoughts were still coherent enough to actually allow him to analyse the situation. He cursed the fact that he was so unfit, in comparison to his peers – had he the training, he would be able to use Shunpo, and catch up to his supposed foes. But, there was little he could do at that point in time.
Watt winced – being hit in the crown jewels was rarely a good experience, but for Shinda to suffer such an attack from someone so much more powerful than him? The thought as almost unbearable. He was angry, but he knew just how painful it was, and even he felt like speaking out against the brutality of the attack. Somehow thinking better of it, however, he continued to just run in, disregarding notions that it would have been better if he had not interrupted the situation. After all, he was in deep now – why bother backing out? Hopefully, as he was Squad Four, they would underestimate and ignore him. The element of surprise was his.
However, he knew to hang back a little, despite his rage making him want to carry out what he had threatened both with earlier. In a sense, his lack of ability to perform Flash Step was something that played to his favour – he could fake being weak, and the moment their guards were dropped, he would swoop in for the kill. Alas, they would likely not underestimate him for long if he showed his power – hence why he was simply watching the scene unfold from a relatively close distance, as opposed to fully engaging himself. As much as he wanted to, he needed a plan.

Roxanna could hear the squad four chump yelling something that was probably extremely threatening and vile. Too bad for him Roxanna just really didn't care enough to actually listen. He wasn't going to follow through with any thing he said in her opinion, so it wasn't going to do her any good to give up some of the focus she had on Shinda to put some effort into listening. She was waiting to listen to Shinda cry out in the pain she sent right up through his second head right up to the one one his shoulders. That didn't come to her though. The punk actually dodged her well aimed kick, much to her dismay. Roxanna prided herself as a fighter. This was not how things were supposed to be going.
The boy fled but that wasn't all. What he did next was just like shoving salt into Roxanna's very real wounds. He stuck his tongue out and her then went all cutesy and threw her a peace sign like some Japanese idol pop star. She wasn't about to let a little fag like that escape now. She definitely wasn't going to be paying any mind to that doctor guy or whatever he wanted to be called. She was on a mission. She didn't even shoot him a glance, actually forgetting he was there at all, when she launched herself from where she stood. No she wasn't the fastest shinigami out there, much more focused on strength than speed.
As it turned out Shinda was faster than her. A good little bit faster than her. She lost sight of him rather quickly. Growling she leaped up to the roof top, running along it, and hoping the new height would give her a bit of a better chance of finding the kid. He wasn't going to be able to go far. He was as in as bad of shape as she was. She just had to keep her senses up and keep making the correct turns and he would be hers in no time. Then she could take him back to that guy and make sure he got a horrible treatment from the grumpy man, which she of course would flee from to go drinking as she had planned. Then she could heal her injuries in peace, Shinda wouldn't get killed, and the cranky doctor could take out some frustrations. It was a winning plan for everyone.

Shinda kept running and maneuvering down the alleys and side streets, not stopping or slowing for anything. The pain was excruciating through his body, and his movements slow as he held his side, groaning in pain. "Crap...I think I may...have overexerted myself." He pants, slowing to a small run. He couldn't move too fast, or he might open wounds.
His eyes glanced up as he spotted Roxanna on the roofs, and froze. His eyes narrowed, and he began to move faster, hoping she hadn't seen him. To be honest it wasn't hard to spot him, his dyed green hair should easily be spotted. Now all he could do was hope to get off the streets, away from her. 'Shinda...there is a bar a few blocks away. Perhaps you could duck in there if you are so concerned about living.' Ekibyou's voice made him pause, and look ahead. Sure enough, he could barely see the sign of the bar ahead, and he began to grin. Perhaps he could live after all.

Keeping up with the other two Shinigami was a pain in the neck, for Watt – or, to be more specific, it was a pain in his legs. On his honour, he swore he would take some time out of his schedule to at least try and go on jogs, or do something to improve his athleticism. He even considered getting training for Shunpo – though, it would be unlikely that he would find the time. Nevertheless, eh did what he could to keep pace with his potential foes, fully intending to drive a blade into their gullets if they so much as squinted wrong at him anymore.
A thought occurred to him – namely, using his Zanpakutō in its Shikai form as a grappling hook, to have him build up momentum at the very least. He quickly discarded the idea, however – it wasn’t nearly fast enough, nor was it anywhere near long enough. Twenty feet would hardly suffice in this situation. One hundred feet? That was something he wanted. “Maybe in my Bankai…” he muttered, legs already feeling the strain, his breath beginning to turn ragged. It was ironic, really – someone so concerned with people’s health, was himself not as healthy as the average Soul Reaper. He would have sighed, had he the breath.

It had all sounded like a great idea in Roxanna's head yes, making it a reality was proving to be a rather difficult part of its success though. Roxanna looked around for what must have bee a good five minutes. Shinda was no where in her immediate sight. If he had any chance of being spotted by the not quite as furious now lieutenant he would have been caught and maimed by now. Roxanna let out a huff, shrugging her shoulders which made her wince and hiss. She forgot her shoulder had gone through hell. God it hurt to move that son of a bitch. She applied a bit of pressure there with her other hand, rubbing a bit of the pain away until she could get wasted. Looking around once more she didn't spot Shinda but even better she didn't spot that squad four member either. He was probably a slow poke. He made his living iwith the weakest of the pack. He had probably lost both of them and went stroming back to his barracks to write about it in his 'doctor's log' aka diary. So she had nothing to be to a pulp or waste her energy on. There was nothing left to do but go drink. When she looked around she knew exactly where she was. The bar was right down the next corner.
She made a leap down from the roof, actually staying light on her feet for once despite her rough and loud nature. She didn't want anything else to hurt for a while. It was hard just walking like this. She made a slightly rushed pace to the bar to get her first drink, planning to leave a tab in the name of Shinda Chinmoku. He seemed like some one who liked alcohol, if being in a bar fight hadn't made such a thing clear. He'd surely stop by this place and a bill would already be waiting for him. A very expensive one. Roxanna had no intentions of sparing the kid a penny. And well if he couldn't pay it he'd probably have to do some labor and be embarrassed. No matter what she won. "Poor kid'll prolly cry all the way back to squad..2 was it? Eh what the fuck does it matter?" She chuckled with that. It was a very pleasing idea.
It wasn't going to be that simple though. Roxanna turned the corner and low and behold there he as. She stopped walking, just staring at his back. Well that was certainly unexpected. It seemed he was taking notice of the bar too and not notice of her. Well this was perfect. Without a sound Roxanna drew her arm back, launching forward the sheath of her zanpakuto with deadly accuracy for the back of Shinda's head. It would definitely hit him hard, maybe even knock him over with the utter shck and unsuspecting force of her throw. She raced forward then, throwing her blade to her other hand, extending her arm and catching the flying sheath perfetly over her sword with a click as it fell into place. "Running was a bad idea Shinda Chinmoku" she was back in scary mode, smiling but saying his name darkly through her teeth, her eyes locked on Shinda and blazing.

Shinda sighs, smiling to himself. After a few minutes, no angry Lieutenant had fallen on top of him to kill him and there wasn't any stab wounds through him, so he assumed he was home free. Shinda walked forwards towards the bar, eagerness all over his face. Maybe today wouldn't be that bad of a day. Maybe he could avoid Roxanna and Watt and get wasted along the way. And then perhaps he will just stop by his girlfriends Division to say hi-
At this moment his entire train of thought was derailed by the forceful strike of Roxanna's sheath against the back of his head, causing Shinda to start falling and rolling almost comically to a stop. A loud groan escapes his mouth, and he rubs the back of his held, feeling a welt starting to form on the back of his head. Hearing the voice of Roxanna behind him guaranteed the person who through the object, and it also guaranteed that Shinda wouldn't be getting away so easily. With a grunt, the 4th Seat stood up, turning to the angered pirate, and he brought his blade out. "I see you didn't take to kindly to my fleeing, but in my defense you were shooting for a low blow."
