Thurstan nearly spit out his beer when Zeke started laughing about the aliens. He was cracking up too. This guy was pretty damn funny, but what he was saying made sense. Trace downed the last of his pale ale/stout mix and smacked the glass down onto the counter with a heavy exhale, the kind of exhale that someone used to express satisfaction. He raised the glass up again and tipped it towards Michael in a show of gratitude. “Thanks, man. That was pretty good.” Thurstan reached into his pocket and pulled out some spare change that he kept inside. He set it down on the table and added it up to around 12 dollars, which was plenty enough to pay for his eight dollar beer. “Keep the change, mate.”
He then turned his head to Ezekiel, who seemed curious about something. “I wonder what you mean by ‘this way’. Are you talking about being a visored or just in general? If you want to know how I became a visored I suppose it happened the same way as everyone else. Aizen tried to fuck us over, but we bit the bullet and kicked a hole in his plans.”

Ezekiel wagged his finger, he was a different case. Aizen didn't make him turn into a visored, he had actually performed the transformation a more natural way. Hana, his former captain, had performed Senka on him before breaking his soul chain. Usually someone becomes a hollow when this happens, the reason why the hogyoku was used as a short cut. He resisted, and Zekonith came to life as he became a natural born visored. He turned to Tas, smiling. "Let me guess, you were turned then banished, forever an enemy. But the thing is...you said you helped my people...well my people from when I was human of course. So you have a different story. I myself....Was forced into a fight. See the Gotei thought I was being bad and decided to put me somewhere where I wouldn't be a problem.
I was so furious, after all I had been through. After watching Yamamoto scorch my mother alive. And then....My own closest friend listened to me, called me a traitor. He mocked me, insulted me, he even forced us into a fight. And then...I did the ultimate taboo and went against my zanpakuto...And used Bankai. We all have our relationships with our blades...Mine is more of a parental one. Severed his arm, dragging him out of my bankai and that's when my old captain took me down, left me for dead in the Living world and cut my soul chain. Now, your's?" he looked over at Trace, as a smile on his face.

Hell. This Ezekiel guy was being rather dark and open to a guy he’d just met. It was a little unnerving and made Thurstan think twice before he responded to the man. There were so many things that Trace could’ve said, so many things that were plowing through his mind at that very moment, things that he would never be able to forget. The death of his best friend, who happened to be a Quincy all those years ago, was one of the most prominent images in his brain, followed by the disappearance of the woman he’d loved and the destruction of an entire city. He didn’t like thinking about these things; they weighed heavily enough on his heart without bringing the emotions to light.
To top off the creepy and uncomfortable, this guy was smiling. Ezekiel’s face was plastered with this great soothing smile that just seemed to be off while he prodded at Thurstan’s private life. It was weird. He didn’t feel like running through possible reasons for things like this, but decided that Zeke must have just been a little crazy or antisocial. Well, I can’t just sit here. Gotta say something.
A deep inhale was followed by a weakly strung together series of words that sounded like they were coming through with some sort of strained yawn. “Huh. I wasn’t banished, really, just lost. I was the sixth seat of squad six and was asked to lead a recon mission into the real world to discover information about vanishing souls in a particular area.” His voice returned to normal. “Aizen kicked all of our asses and I was the only survivor, and even that was only because Shinji showed up and kicked the shit out of my hollowfying corpse.” He looked up at the ceiling for a second in a sign of thanks to his friend way back in Japan, then his eyes came back down to meet Zeke’s. “Anyway, I wasn’t banished, I didn’t even bother to go back and I’ve been working on my own for the hundred years or so.”

Ezekiel could see that he was making Trace feel a little uncomfortable so he waited for his story to be put across. Yeah...He was always creepy wasn't he? No facade could shake the dark composure he had but at least the man wasn't screaming EVIL EVIL at him. "Sorry, I am a bit more numb to the past. I apologize if you aren't, I understand." he nodded, but then he thought, the man made a good choice. Don't ever return to the gotei once you leave, it is hell. "It is so much more peaceful and relaxing without being part of the Gotei 13." he let out a sigh, tapping the counter for a refill. Once his glass was filled to the brim he took a sip out of his Killian's.
He was remembering his time at the Tenth Division. He remembered the obvious two but there was one person who always prevented him from ascending up positions. Jin was his name? Yeah, Jin Hoshi-whatever. "I still have some fond memories there. Well, they had nothing to do with my job. Just humorous events like catching the Captain and Lieutenant having some privacy time. That was awkward." he chuckled, he wondered if anyone else witnessed that before. "Also when I was part of Kido Corps. there was this weird girl...Had no head...That was odd. I've NEVER seen something like that before or after." he chuckled once again.
