Sen woke up well, almost forgetting he was in japan instead of home in Tennessee. He didn't mind the change. The house they gave him for the year wasn't all that different from his home in America, but there were noticeable differences. For example the toilets worked differently, but he got used to it. He threw on his school uniform, ate a quick bowl of cereal and left to get to class early.
Sen lived next to a park. The past few days here told him that it was vacant in the morning. So he was surprised to see a man standing there alone. Sen decided to go and greet him, seeing as the man didn't look to happy. It was a great morning, so why wasn't this man happy? Sen adjusted his glasses and called out to him, "Hello! Good morning!", Sen said in English. Realizing his mistake of talking in a language this man may not understand, Sen repeated himself in Japanese. He was fluent in karakura's native language but it didn't change that he was American. English came naturally. "What are you doing out here all alone? It's quite early out", Sen said, trying hard not to be in this man's business but he couldn't help himself.

Colin paced the halls of his palace, unable to remain confined to his suite. The recent invasion of Soul Society weighed heavily on his mind. They had failed in their objective. They were no closer to a truce now and the leaders of both factions were dead. The other Espada were jockeying to take over and he wasn’t quite certain how to deal with it. Julius was practically useless in his despondency, despite being the ideal candidate for Angelis’ replacement.
He would have considered following Julius. But the rest of these weaklings had no business being in charge. And he would never follow some random newcomer. They would never be good enough to replace his Queen. That really only left one alternative, if he didn’t wish to return to the dull existence he’d led before joining Zelena. And it was the alternative that had him irritable, restless, and occasionally digging at the gash that was still healing in his side. The whole situation was enough to make him feel claustrophobic in his own palace.
Unable to stand it any longer, he turned and ripped open a Garganta by the wall. He had to get out of Hueco Mundo. He was going to start killing people if he remained. Without thought of anything besides a brief escape, he stepped through and into a very familiar area. Karakura – somehow his mind always led him back to this tragic city. Worse yet, he had stepped right into the park where he had died. He just couldn’t catch a break could he? He sighed despondently.
“Fuck everything,” he muttered darkly. But he didn’t move from his spot as the Garganta closed behind him. For whatever reason, he was never restless here. That was a start, at least. He wasn’t sure how long he stood there, lost in his unhappy thoughts. It was long enough for people to start moving about – children headed to school or skipping it, fathers on their way to work. The moving people only soured his mood and stirred his hunger sluggishly. He knew practically no one could see him, but perhaps that was what bothered him about their presence. He relished being alone from time to time, yet despised being ignored.
He supposed it didn’t really matter. He shook his head. Damn, but he was getting pathetically angsty. Next thing you knew, he’d be a wreck like Julius. The thought caused him to frown as he gazed at the oak tree where he had last sat and eaten with his family. He wasn’t left to his thoughts for long, though. Soon someone was calling out, first in English – which was damn weird to hear in Karakura of all places – and then repeating in accented, but fluent Japanese. He glanced around, knowing he was the only person actually in the park. He quickly spotted a young man – practically a boy, really – headed towards him. He was surprised the child could see him, but the situation wasn’t entirely terrible.
The kid was fairly attractive with wavy blonde hair, brilliant blue eyes, and a decently built body. He supposed he could indulge the boy. And perhaps he would get a tasty snack out of the bargain. “You are a rather inquisitive little boy, no?” he asked in flawless English, looking down at the much shorter boy. “It is a bit rude in Japan to ask such forthright questions of a total stranger. But you are not Japanese, so I will forgive your indiscretion.” He turned his gaze back to the towering oak tree. After a moment, he added, “This place was once important to me. That is all.”
