He wasn't sure what drove him down to the human world. Was it the people? Was it the atmosphere? He honestly had no idea; What he did know though, was that he liked it. It was calm, dark, and there wasn't any fighting. The night time sky was beautiful, the stars lit the the darkness like fire flies scattered across a sea of black. He was, like many others out here, lost in some sense of the word. Zeek was good at navigating in the dark, he was good at listening, feeling, tasting, and sensing his way through, but that isn't how he felt. He didn't feel like he was an Arrancar, thirsting for blood and vengeance on the living for being alive. No, he just wanted peace of mind, peace that his life would be something worth living now, and not just ending it all. Zeek...wanted meaning. Perhaps this place would bring that feeling, or perhaps it would bring more doors to get lost within.
Zeek skipped across the ground, his hands in his pockets while his silver locks bounced with each step. There was something about him, something that no one else could possibly notice; he looked a lot like his brother, a shinigami captain named Jin. They both have smooth faces, attractive in and of themselves, but there was one thing that stood out between the two of them. One had bloodshot eyes, darkness swirling inside, and the other, Zeek, had a soft silver hued color. He wasn't dark, prone to anger, but he was a kind soul. He tried his best at being decent, leaving the humans alone, and saving passer-byers when ever he had the chance. Anything to be segregated from that monster in Hueco Mundo.
He eventually found himself in the park. It was more dark than the street corners, only light posts every thirty or so feet, rather than every fifteen or twenty. Reaching a tree, Zeek noticed something strange about the area. A trace of reiatsu, and a gaint hole roughly twenty feet wide, and thirty or so feet in circumference. What the hell happened here? He shook it off, looking upon the branches before leaping, and finding himself against the hardened wood. Not nearly as nice as the soft sands of hueco mundo, but he could make do with this. His eye lids slid closed, his hands crossing his chest as he tried his best to relax. He wasn't tired, he wasn't hurt, but he just wanted to enjoy the darkness, the soft breeze, and the nicely lit sky.

Arrancar? Soon-ja landed on a branch in a park, peering through the rogue foliage towards the Reiatsu source. The vague humanoid outline was barely visible in the encroaching darkness, though the moonlight illuminated the majority of the area. Her nightly patrols weren’t usually too fruitful; Karakura town had plenty of other spiritual being on the job and it rarely took longer for a few minutes for someone to arrive on the scene. This, however, was slightly different. Even if the pattern was detected, it wasn’t something your average Shinigami would want to investigate. Arrancar were no laughing matter.
Soon-ja was wary – her few brief encounters with Arrancar had, usually, proven them to be adept foes. Their skill often rivaled her own and their raw power was terrifying. To be quite honest, she hadn’t seen any recently; after the fall of Aizen they seemed to stay within their own borders. Building up power, planning their next move, or whatever the creatures did.
The Arrancar, as an evolution of the Hollow, had always fascinated Soon-ja. They were, as it stood, the closest things too her own abnormal abilities. They were Hollows that drew from Shinigami powers; she was a Shinigami who drew from Hollow powers. The connection was obvious. She’d always wondered if they too had an inner personality, or if their powers were more complete. She wasn’t one to attempt communications, but they were certainly intelligent, at least moreso than Menos or any run-of-the-mill Hollow. In the end, though, they were Hollows. No amount of external changes or intelligence could change that fact. It was her job to purge them, so purge them she would. No amount of raw curiosity would change that.
Luckily it seemed like she had the advantage of surprise. The creature was busy napping. Or something. Probably resting between hunts or something equally sinister. Soon-ja unsheathed her Zanpakuto, pushing the sheath itself into the dirt by her side. In combat, the blunt instrument was nothing more than a hindrance. The blade glinted in the moonlight, reflecting the stars in its shimmering surface. Graphing the hilt with both hands, she prepared herself for a fight. It took her a single Shunpo to reach the branch, swinging her newly drawn weapon downward towards the Arrancar’s neck. No Hollows were going to hang out in her town.

It seemed that there was another Arrancar around. He didn't pay it much mind, probably looking for a quick kill or mean. He understood why other Arrancar acted the way they did; they were monsters, killers, controlled by something beyond their comprehension. No, not Zeek; he was above that, and resting in this tree was all he needed to be content. That is, unless he becomes disturbed. If that should happened, well, let's just say whom ever is on the other end of the disturbance may not like what they find. That is because Zeek is rather hasty, jumps to conclusions, and to be utterly honest, he's not the most intelligent himself.
He has common sense, strong morals, and kindness to spare, but intelligent that does not make. He peaked an eye open, his attention being drawn to the reiatsu...was it getting closer? What was that? Wait a minute... That wasn't a hollow, that wasn't an Arrancar either...that was a shinigami. No, that's not even right...What was that thing? He closed his eyes, hoping that if they were getting closer, they would reveal themselves. He wasn't the strongest Arrancar, but he wasn't a push over either. And so he waited, like a predator waiting for it's prey. Closer...it was like he could hear the music in the background, tension building. No...no....yes! He quickly rolled off of the branch and into the dirt, two silver eyes staring up at the woman.
"Well, well..a shinigami? No...you're more than that, aren't you?" He asked, his hands entering his pockets before taking a leap back. "What are you...you curious little creature?" He smiled, shrugging and pulling one of his hands out of his pocket, grabbing the fold-able dagger that was behind him. Pulling his second hand out, he did the same but this time pulling his zanpakuto out, which was also gold-able. He tapped the blade against his chin, a wild grin spreading across his face.
"What I don't understand is...why you attacked me? I'm just your everyday guy, relaxing in a tree; hell, I'm not even bothering anyone." The words came, and while they were sincere, he was being a bit of an ass. He was angry, but he didn't show it like most people did. Instead he started to gather a blue energy in his hand. Bala, the much weaker, but much faster version of Cero. It normally travels about ten times the speed of a Cero, so dodging it was much harder than most things. "I'll tell you what, you're cute...if you give me a good show, I'll tell you my name." He grinned shooting the bala forward toward the woman. Who knew the park could be so fun.

Her blade sunk deep into the tree branch, the sharp blade leaving a sizable cut in the thick bark. The branch, however, was not what she’d been aiming for. The Arrancar had since dropped from the branch to the ground below leaving Soon-ja alone at in the tree. She remained on the branch as she took a better look at the creature below her. It was humanoid, though that was expected, and it seemed to be intelligent enough. Not that she cared.
The Arrancar was talking to her. Soon-ja wasn’t really listening; she wasn’t going to sit around wait let this creature talk its way to safety. She readied herself for a second assault, hoping to catch the humanoid Hollow while it was still preforming whatever sort of monologue it was currently doing. Unfortunately, the Arrancar ended a tad earlier than she would’ve liked, launching into an immediate long range assault.Soon-ja swiftly twitched to the side, attempting to completely dodge the incoming attack. The result was much closer than she would’ve liked.
The ball of crackling red energy whipped past her face, flicking wisps of her hair backwards at it passed. The speed astonished her, though there wasn’t a whole lot of time to dwell on it. The element of surprise was dispelled; there was nothing to do but attack with overwhelming power. The chance of her encountering another opponent of a similar magnitude in the same night was close to nil. There was no reason to hold back. Well, holding back a little would probably be a good idea; there was no reason to draw a whole lot of extra attention to herself. She shunpo’d to the ground, standing a good 10 meters from her opponent.
“Asshukusuru, Seiryoku Kyūryū” Soon-ja transferred her Zanpakuto in her left hand in a reverse grip as its appearance quickly changed. Holding the weapon parallel to the ground, she brought it to her right shoulder across her chest, the blade pointing towards the Arrancar. While the action may have seemed slightly pointless, she wanted the blade closer to her body; it kept the weapon wieldy while she performed her next technique. “ Kaze-Kyū Taihō, Hadō No. 50: Rushageki” A ball of swirling, compressed wind slowly began to form at the end of Soon-ja’s blade, its size quickly increasing, as she pointed her right index finger and middle at the Arrancar across from her. A small bolt of red kinetic energy flew from the tips of her fingers, screaming towards her opponent.
This was going to be annoying.

Zeek quinted his eyes at the woman. She didn't seem to like talking, or perhaps it was the fact that he had been a hollow at one point. Still, that shouldn't have really been enough to attack someone. There were evil shinigami, Quincy were just glorified Nazi's, looking to eradicate all life on the planet with their bows. In fact, the hollow were the only innocent ones. They weren't driven by some form of hatred, they were driven by instinct. Many of them being nothing more than animals, predators in the night. It wasn't until they retained their intelligence, and still attacked living souls that they were evil.
He didn't bother trying to speak anymore though, this woman obviously didn't want anything to do with him, or his crazy Arrancar ideals. Instead, she opted to releasing her sword. He'd seen shinigami before, and he's heard stories. But this is the first time he's actually seen it first hand. He arched a brow at what she had done next, was she going to fence him with her sword? Zeek was an expert when it came to closer quarters combat. But then something interesting started to happen at the tip of her sword. Is that wind? He let the question float around his mind.
This wouldn't matter soon anyway as he felt the winds pushing him back. He brought both of his arms up, guarding his face against the winds, but he could feel them cutting at his skin, then out of the corner of his eye, he saw the light from her other hand. It was red, and he heard the technique name...Hado? Wasn't that some sort of mystical art of the shinigami, something that only they could do? Oh shit.. He needed to get out of there. Using his sonido, Zeek combined it with the winds, letting his body go and being pushed back far enough that the winds no longer affected him.
He rolled against the ground, managing to miss the hado just in time. Zeek inspected his body, looking over the minor cuts, and the dirt that now covered his body. He grinned, nodding his head while he brushed his body clean of the pesky messy particles. "That's impressive...uh...woman. You Shinigami have so many neat tricks. It's strange isn't it? Acting on impulse, instinct. Look at you for example..." He finished brushing his clothes, and body free of the dirt. Taking a stance read to rush the enemy before him. "You acted out of impulse to attack me. You wanted me dead...and all I was doing was trying to get some rest."
He sonidoed, appearing before the woman, bringing his right hand upward in a striking motion, aiming to cut her right shoulder. and using that same momentum his body would spin in place bringing the left hand across her chest. Both of them aiming to be deep enough to cause her some pain, but not quite enough to disable her arm, or cause her to bleed out. "I'm not evil...I'm just free." Those last words weren't necessary, not by any stretch, but why not possibly get her thinking.

The Arrancar spoke, though Soon-ja wasn’t particularly keen on listening. She was more focused on the creature’s weapons, preparing for whatever was about to come. Her own technique was still gathering strength as the humanoid hollow finished his brief monologue, the monster taking up some sort of ready battle stance. The completed Kaze-Kyū Taihō finally reached critical mass, propelling itself forward as Soon-ja’s opponent moved forward. The Arrancar’s movements were precise, managing to position him in the perfect position between the initializing attack and Soon-ja’s own body. The wind ball flew off into the night, dissipating as it travelled until it winked out of existence far from its origin.
Her enemy’s weapons weren’t the largest things in the world, but they seemed sharp enough. Sharp enough that Soon-ja wasn’t particularly keen on getting hit by them. Given the speed of the prior attack, she’d been expecting something much swifter. That wasn’t quite the case. While she wasn’t in any position to block the attack, but a half step backwards was enough to prevent Soon-ja from getting gashed. The first attack easily sliced through the fabric of her outerwear, the rent fabric splitting in a clean line by her left wrist which was still positioned by right shoulder. As her opponent entered his rotation, Soon-ja raised her right hand to grip her Zanpakuto’s hilt, quickly rotating it downwards and left to block the second attack. Her distance was still fine; it wasn’t an absolute necessity to defend against the blow, but it was important to stop her opponent’s flow.
“Shintō Shōgekiha” The concussive blast curved around Soon-ja as it exploded outward from the tip of her weapon. She needed, or at least wanted, a bit of distance. While her weapon’s main technique was often best in close combat, that wasn’t where her own strength was. The pair of weapons wielded by her opponent seemed best suited for swift, close ranged fighting. If at all possible, Soon-ja was going to deprive him of that. As soon as the attack completed, Soon-ja shunpo’d backwards, hoping to enlarge any gap that had been created. It was obvious that her options were swiftly narrowing. An extended clash wasn’t something she particularly wanted, nor was she keen on fleeing from the fight she’d picked.
What she needed wasn’t power, it was speed. While tossing incantationless kido wasn’t the best idea in the world against an extremely resilient opponent, it certainly was much more likely to connect. She had a sinking feeling that this fight would eventually devolve into some sort of melee slugfest. She couldn’t waste all day hoping the Arrancar would wander into her attacks.
“Hadō No. 63, Raikōhō”

Zeek laughed inwardly as the woman dodged his attacks as gracefully as she did. She was fast, and while he was most lethal at close range, this woman seemed to prefer to fight from a distance. Still, his eyes scanned over her, watching small bits of fabric to fall to the ground, and then watched as she called out yet another attack. It followed the same principle as her first attack; produced by the sword, and it seemed to be aligned with wind. Zeek would never truly comprehend what her sword could do, but he understood enough to know that what was coming was going to hurt.
The impending explosion blew him back, the wind causing him to roll against the ground. He took his second dagger, the replica of his zanpakuto, and stabbed it into the ground to stop him from rolling. He laughed outwardly this time. Taking in a deep breath, and brushing off his clothing before shrugging and letting a few words escape his lips. "Well, you're good...not much of a talker....but I like you..." Zeek arched a brow, another mystical shinigami spell? He laughed and rose his hand quickly, preparing a bala as his hand began it's ascent, releasing it when it reached a parallel with her kidou. The two energy based attacks exploding into the air. Zeek could feel the wind coming off of it, raising his hands to block any unnecessary dust from getting into his eyes.
"You're scary...too good. My name is Zeek....you'll get the last name much later. Maybe before you kill me..." He chuckled, almost feeling like antagonizing the woman into an even stronger attack "You know...you remind me of a hollow. Tenacious. Unrelenting in your grand scheme of killing off your prey. Are you so different from me?" Perhaps he didn't get the idea of beating a dead horse, but he liked to hear himself talk at least. Still, she was getting to be a bit much, and if he didn't take it up a notch, she would probably kill him. He sighed, closing his eyes for a moment before tossing both blades into the air until his finger tips grabbed each tip of either blade.
He once more opened his eyes, two silver hued orbs staring at the woman. "La vida y la luz se entrelazan" As the last of the words escaped his lips, he tossed the two blades into the air, watching as they somersaulted toward the ground. As they neared their end, he shoved both blades into the palms of his hands. Impaling them deep into his hands and forearms. As he did so however, blue lines started to rapidly expand from the tiny remnants of his mask, his entire body being taken over by the light blue color. His reiatsu spiked, and in one final explosion of light, what remained was nothing like what stood before the woman a moment ago. Zeek had now grown by three feet, his entire body being covered in a bony like material, his upper body (Ribs and chest, as well as his skull) getting it the most. An armor almost that stacked upon one another.
The two most shocking changes have to do with his arms, and skull. An almost white crown now covered his entire head, his eyes included. His lips were gone, now replaced by ever glaring sharp fangs. His arms were now split down the center all the way up to his elbow. Two very long, white blades were hung out of these openings. However, Zeek chuckled before folding the two bone blades back into his arms raising his arms and touching either bottom palm together. "Hojas Santa Que Vuelan" Two blades were created in mid air, these blades resembling European broad swords most. Zeek only needed but a moment to concentrate as he fired both of them at the woman. Taking the time after it finished to focus on her. His senses were ever improved, but they weren't perfect and if distracted they could be fooled.
