quote or lyrics here; not too long FACE CLAIM:Happy Tree Friends -- Splendid
HEIGHT:5'10"
WEIGHT:149lbs
APPEARANCE:Gabriel is a fairly young looking pale man. He stands at a slightly above average height with a small, but muscular build. He usually sticks out because of his bright blue hair and red, flowing eye mask. He only removes this mask when he sleeps, not wanting to give away his secret identity. Although his mask isn't that large, so it doesn't cover nearly enough if his face to hide anything. Even his blue eyes are easily seen, especially since it easily contrasts with the red eye mask.
His shinigami uniform is pretty modified. His captain's haori is worn very much like a cape, with a red scarf worn on top of it. The red scarf is only there because it matches his red mask. The upper part if the uniform is mostly covered by the scarf, but is left half open. Underneath the black uniform lies a red undershirt, showing his signature hero color. He tend to not even bother with wearing shoes when in his uniform, deeming then unimportant to his outfit.
Gabriel's gigai is similar tobhis uniform. He has a red mask and a red undershirt, but the similarities end there. He wears a baggy blue jumpsuit instead of a baggy black uniform, and he has black combat boots to go with his outfit. The sweatshirt to his track suit is left half open with the collar up. The sleeves only go to his elbows, but that doesn't seem to effect him much. The sleeves of his sweatshirt are also pretty modified. They have flaps on them that allow him to glide through the air and descend safely. To tie his outfit together, he wears black gloves the only go to his wrist.

DISLIKES: -Losing -Villains -Death -Being sad -Not being the hero -Those who aren't doing their duty
NEGATIVE TRAITS: -He gets discouraged easily -He tends to not actually save anyone -He has a tendency to jump to violent conclusions often -He ignores some aspects of the world, such as where he is going, where he is at, what's going on, and sometimes if anyone is actually there with him -He has a habit of forgetting important details
POSITIVE TRAITS: -He's reasonable -He will risk his life for the greater good -He will try to keep the peace at all costs -He is THE hero
EXTRAS:*He considers himself heterosexual, but will go for anyone who needs saving. His hero complex makes him love the 'damsel-in-distress' unconditionally, whether he is saving a male or a female
Gabriel usually will only respond to his hero name, Splendid, unless you are a fellow hero (Captain) then you are allowed to call him by his secret identify
Everyone in Gabriel's squad is called the the SSSSSuper Squad (Supremely Sensational Stupendously Spectacular Super Squad) by him on occasion, with the lieutenant being his personal sidekick. No one else seems to recognize it as that, though.
quote or lyrics here; not too long WEAPONS:fists of fury!
ZANPAKUTO:name: Parada
sealed form: The sealed form of Parada is a long sword, usually in it's sheath. The handle of it is black, with hints of silver outlining it. It also has a small, silver crown design on the bottom of the handle. The blade is about 3 inches thick and 18 inches long, forming a diamond shape at the end. It's an all silver blade that looks to be formed for any hero. However, he hardly uses his blade. His sword is kept in it's sheath, which is black with a blue stripe running down the left side of it. It is usually resting on his left hip, staying mostly untouched.
spirit: Parada is a voice in the sky that only he can hear. It gives him guidance, but only when he asks for it. It acts as a sort of father figure to him, or like a voice of reason.
inner world: Gabriel's inner world looks like a shiny white futuristic metropolitan city. There are no citizens of the city, so it stays safe all the time. He can walk down the streets without having to defend against any of the evils in the world. The skyscrapers of the city go farther than he can fly up, so he has never seen the top, but that doesn't matter to him. He is okay with relaxing in the comic book shops, always stacked with the comics he's read in his life. Each time he reads a new one, it becomes added to his collection. The same thing happens with the food in the restaurants, and the shows on the television. It's all based around things he knows.

QUOTE OR LYRICS HERE; NOT TOO LONG HISTORY:Gabriel grew up always thinking he was different. He didn't know what caused this thinking, or even how he was different, but he knew. His parents caught on to his different antics at a young age, as well. They weren't sure how to fix him, or keep him safe from those who weren't accepting of different, but they loved him nonetheless. Even though there were times where they were sure that Gabriel was going to hurt those around him, they decided to not change a thing about him.
His mother was certain she knew what caused the different antics in him, though. She hadn't told her husband, or even Gabriel, that he was the baby of another man. It wasn't as if she wanted it that way, in fact; she was forced to have it. She didn't want to be reminded of the incident, so she kept it to herself. However, she was surrounded by men just like the one she was forcefully taken by, and soon enough Gabriel began looking up to the same type of men.
Gabriel loved pretending to be a knight. They were the heroes of his time, and they were the ones to look up to. He knew he had to protect those around, but didn't have the power to do so. That didn't stop him from protecting those in need, though. Every time he saw someone get robbed or someone breaking into another person's house, he would go and attack them and bring them to justice; as much justice as a child could bring to someone. His limited amount of power didn't stop him, though. He was determined to be the protector of the universe.
It took only a few years, but he began to finally realize in what ways he was different. He knew that no one else had the same ideals as he did, and he guessed that it was because he didn't have the same earthly ideals wedged into his brain. He knew he was from space, sent there from his home planet to grow up and do those around him good. But he wasn't able to unlock the secrets to his powers, yet. Not having powers was one of the reasons that no one around him believed he was an alien. They usually just laughed it off and brushed it off as a child's imagination, but that wasn't it.
Once Gabriel was in his teens, it became pretty apparent that he still believed he was an alien. He was deemed as 'special', meaning he would never be able to be out of his parent's sight. He tried contacting his home planet time after time, but got no response. He never wanted to believe that he wasn't an alien sent to earth to protect the earthlings, but that was the truth. He was simply a human with strong ideals. Ideals stronger than most of those around. He didn't have the heart to believe that he was the only one in his town that actually had a sense of good and evil, and not just leaving it to whatever pays them better.
Sadly, that was the case. Gabriel saw a knight one day. One of those who were in charge of protecting the many. Not just a guard, but an actual knight. He was in awe at how holy the man seemed. But only for awhile. He was transporting a princess from the kingdom to another one, and needed to pass through his small town in order to get there, so the visit was a short one. However, the short visit would make his life change forever.
A shopkeeper apparently looked at the princess with lustful eyes, which was a crime punishable by death that day. Gabriel had never heard of a law that stated one couldn't look at the princess, but apparently there was. And that caused the knight to get off his horse and beat the man until he was bloody and cowering for his life. Gabriel saw that as wrong, and had shouted several times during the beating to leave him alone.
The knight ignored Gabriel for awhile, but he apparently was becoming too much for him to want to listen to. The knight paused from the beating, and turned to Gabriel. He punched him in the face and knocked him to the ground, trying to do what he was doing to the other man, but Gabriel didn't cower in fear. No. He fought back. He stood up, and hit the knight, just as he had hit him. Then he knocked him to the ground and punched him in the face for a fairly long time. He was only stopped when he felt something pierce through his chest. He looked down and saw a sword poking out of the area where his heart was, then it slowly exited his body the way it came, leaving Gabriel to fall to the floor as a bloody, lifeless body. As he faded out of existence, he grew a deep and utter hatred towards knights.
Gabriel was taken back to his home planet, or what he assumed was it at first. He soon realized this wasn't his home planet, but it was a new place! His job was apparently done on earth, so he was sent somewhere new! Or that's what he told himself for the first few years. After awhile, he caught on that he was dead, but he didn't want to let that ruin his spirits! He found a place that would show him how he could defend those in this land, and it was perfect, considering he was sure he'd die of starvation soon enough. He was fed and training to be a hero! What more could those on his home planet want from him?
He wasn't the best in class, considering he was a little spacey and didn't like to learn things, but he was pretty great with dealing with and shaping his zanpakuto. He wanted to say he was the best at it, but he wasn't really the best at anything. But that didn't stop him! A true hero would never give up, which was exactly why he tried harder at everything he possibly could achieve each day. He was considered the odd one in his class, but he knew he was amazing, so what those around him thought didn't matter!
Gabriel seemed to be the only one focused on protecting those around him when he graduated, signing up for the 13th squad almost immediately. He wanting to be the protector! The one who people would call for when they needed help! However, he was far from that. It seemed that when he was in a group of people, all with the same goal, he had no problem... but when they all had different ways of achieving this goal, and never went by the way he wanted, then that was when he had a problem.
It sucked that he had no authority over them, but he wanted to. Gabriel set a goal to become the captain of a squad, but specifically a squad that was in charge of protecting people. He trained himself up for many many years, until he was able to gain a seated rank in the squad he was in. He was happy with that! finally had some authority, but not enough. There were still some higher ups who weren't being the hero he knew they could be. He knew he still had no actual power in the squad, considering his ideas were considered dumb among the higher ups, but he didn't want to give up hope!
Gabriel soon began training daily, beating up random hollows, and even sparring everyone around him. He wanted to get stronger very quickly, and at whatever cost possible. He got injured a whole lot, but he didn't care. A true hero never showed weakness. He wanted to be able to at least kick his captain in the teeth the next time he saw them, simply for not being a true hero. Although, his strength was noted by another squad. It was the seventh squad's captain that took an interest in him. The captain apparently needed a lieutenant, and Gabriel had some ideals that would fit what he wanted perfectly. He didn't want to join at first, but the duties of the squad seemed like they still fit the bill of a hero, so he joined up. It was one of the best decisions he's made in his life.
Soon after becoming the lieutenant, Gabriel began to train a whole lot more. Most of the time he spent training was on his newly obtained bankai. He had to perfect things, and make sure he could do some of the things he was comfortable with in shikai, but they somehow ended up a bit better. He was glad that he was able to do it, even though it took years of practice. He found it to be worth it, and he realized he was as strong as a lot of the captains at that time. Gabriel took pride in what he was doing, and how fast he was doing it, but he wasn't at the point he wanted to be in. He still hadn't reached captain status, even though he was very high up in the chain of command for his division. In the end, it just wasn't good enough. There were small instances involving clashing ideals, but he didn't want to think on it too much. He only had to train a little more until he believed he could take down his captain from his position. Failure wasn't an option, so he had to be absolutely sure.
It took only a few more years after that, with Gabriel being the lieutenant for about 14 years now, but he deemed himself strong enough to take on his captain. The damned being thought they were strong enough to not have to train anymore. Gabriel was going to show them, no.. teach them to stay on their feet! A true hero will always better themself! Anyone who didn't work towards that goal wasn't fit for running a squad! But Gabriel knew he was, so he challenged his captain, and fought a long and hard battle. Eventually Gabriel won, and he showed what a true hero was like! He was the true hero, and he rightfully claimed his spot as so. But in order to do so, he had to change one thing about himself.
Gabriel heard stories about masked heroes, knights... who selflessly helped those around without wanting any sort if pay. They wore masks to conceal their identity, and Gabriel wanted to do the same! He was going to prove those on his home planet that he was an amazing protector! He made a red mask to wear, and gained a secret identity, Splendid. He was going to be the masked hero keeping the peace! All of the peace! Everyone not being peaceful in his areas of jurisdiction was going to get a super beat down!
Gabriel, now known as Splendid, proved himself to be a very worthy leader! He still trained, making sure to not have his strength diminish over the years, but he also went out and around, took breaks and even tried having fun with others around him. It didn't work that well, though. Everyone had different ideas of fun from him, or were just so.. unlikable.... that he couldn't stand being near them.
Gabriel decided to keep himself to the squad he looked after, seeing as no one else wanted the same goals as he did. He could force his goals on his underlings, even though he was sure he didn't need to. They soon became his own special super squad, and he even tried to rename his squad the SSSSSuper Squad, but it didn't happen officially. He still calls it that, but no one else does.
Years upon years had passed with Gabriel being the captain, and soon enough not many even referred to him as his given name, because he mostly never responded to it. The name Splendid caught on, much like how his appearance was so unique that you could never miss him. He stuck out like a sore thumb, with a personality even worse. It was almost as if he was the only actual hero in the gotei, but it didn't bother him much. True heroes didn't need others to help them out, and he certainly didn't need the help of any of them.
Gabriel was one of the few who actually never had an interest in the world of the living, so it took him a very long time to actually go back to it when the gigais were made. Although, once he got there, he noticed a very big change in the events. He didn't care about who was who, and what country was doing what, as long as everyone was safe where he was. So, when he got there, he went to the first place that was said to have tales of heroes like him. A comic store. He fell in love with the heroes and the stories in the books. They only encouraged him to be a hero even more. The one he looked up to the most, however, was Superman. He knew that this guy was just like him. They even had one of the same powers. But the real thing was he was an alien raised by the humans of earth and grew up to protect them. Gabriel couldn't think of a more beautiful story, but of course it was also his story. Almost as if someone he knew that overheard him speaking about himself took the story and sold it on earth.
Gabriel was honored, but never had the drive to find out who it was. Whoever this person may be, must have been an admirer of his. A secret one at that, so he didn't want to scare them off, even though the truth was that is was just a very large coincidence. Gabriel didn't want to believe it, though. He instead became a fan of the series. A nerd, some might say, as well as other comics. They were telling the tales of heroic adventures which he loved reading about.
Time passed quickly while Gabriel was submerged in books and the hero business. He hadn't noticed how much times had changed until he took an actual look at everything. Then he stopped caring and went back into his fantasy world. He had his SSSSSuper Squad, he was in charge of man people, and he was happy. He was one of the more senior Captains, and was almost certain he was on good terms with everyone around. If not, he didn't notice. To him, everyone in the gotei was his friend, even if they didn't feel the same. That's how he felt like living his life, so no one had any true right to stop him.
RP SAMPLE:Natas decided it was time to pay a friendly visit to the vatican. The other sins were on generally bad terms with everyone and everything they came in touch with, but not him. No, he wasn't on the same level as those psychopaths. He was far superior, but they didn't need to know he thought that. Hell, they didn't even need to know he existed. His job as an assassin was to stay in the shadows and go in for a silent kill. He was trained to do the unexpected, never allowing his enemy to predict his movements. The other sins were his enemies as well. Those vile creatures tarnished his name without him even being caught doing anything. Natas didn't take lightly to these show off bastards drawing too much attention to themselves and everyone around them. Especially if he was the one around them.
Natas knew the only way to become one completely unknown was to kill the other sins. The best way to do that, and likely a few of his 'enemies' at the Vatican without actually being present is to start a team death match between the two, with himself watching silently from the background. Just because he was the embodiment of a sin, didn't mean he was evil. Well, he did eat people, but that is considered a religious practice in some areas. Besides, that was only when there was no other food around.
Hell, Gluttony was one of the least evil titles you could possibly have. Of course, you're expected to be fat, but he always proved those who expected that wrong, then proceeded to eat them whole once he had proven himself. He was merely a guy with an appetite, and there was nothing wrong with that.
Befriending the people of the Consecro would be possibly the least expected move in the book, but showing he came in peace was likely a way to gain their trust. Hopefully they had some class and didn't attack a man who was in no mood to fight. He only came there to talk to them, and maybe take a few of the weaker ones into a secret area and eat them while no one was looking. However, he would rather not harm any of them immediately. He wanted to gain the trust of
There was an entire group of strong spiritual beings in one area. They were obviously planning something. 'They predicted we would come. It's a fucking surprise party, aren't you excited?' Natas knew Alvaro was joking around, but something did seem wrong with that room. He tried to think of all the possible reasons there could be so many strong people in an area at once, but all that came to mind each time was a meeting. That was the better place to wait at, rather than just walking in through the front. Even though he risked being ambushed by all the strong beings when they exited the room.
He stood by the entrance when he heard a loud blast and a familiar reiatsu. It was definitely Leto, the self proclaimed queen bitch of all the sins. Since she was there, there was no use in trying to befriend any of them if they were currently being attacked. Leave it to others to fuck his plans up. Natas brought his hand to his face and rested it there, not even sure how pissed off he was that she had to choose that day to screw with them. "Fuck it. I'm done. Alvaro, do whatever you please." Alvaro took the chance to take over their body, with permission this time, and began laughing like an idiot. "Oh, my pleasure."
Alvaro walked to the door then kicked it, shooting it across the room. He walked in the room, but stood close to the exit just in case. "PRAISE THE SUN!" Alvaro yelled at ceiling, or the hole in it, while raising his arms. Praising the sun gods was always a way to enter a religious area, he just hoped he had the religion right. If not, then screw them. Those bitches needed to praise the fucking sun.
After his grand entrance, Alvaro took the time to look around the room to see who he was dealing with. What this was, was a room full of chicks. He felt overpowered by all the tits, but instantly felt bad ass once he saw there was at least one guy with him. He walked over to that man, with strangely fabulous hair, and stood beside him. "So many bitches here, man" He winked at the smaller man and tried to speak as sexily as possible. "What do you say we exit this place and have a little cake? You can be the plate." He laughed, then placed his hands on his hips. At least he made an impression on someone there. That was an accomplishment all in itself.
