Claire was bored. She was just itching for something interesting to happen, and unfortunately for her it was a pretty lax day for interesting around Karakura town. She guessed it was time to make her own interesting, so walking out of the door of her house in her favorite outfit, a blue top that opened about halfway down her ample chest and a pair of black skinny jeans. As she walked out of her house she grabbed her water bottle filled to the brim with sweet tea and started looking for something to do.... Tsubaki stood on top of a rather tall building in Karakura town, one shading her eyes from the sun and one hand holding a clay mug full of tea. In the distance Tsubaki could hear birds calling, children playing, and their parents going about their lives, all in all, an unusually calm day.
Tsubaki didn't like this.
Karakura town was never calm, the large concentration of spiritual particles in this area made sure of that, so silence was almost always a cause for worry.
Suddenly Tsubaki felt a spiritual presence of a bount interrupt her train of thought, though it could well be that the bount could be the cause of the silence...in one way or another.
She hid her presence and silently began to follow the spiritual presence, preparing herself for possible combat.

Nothing. Absolutely FUCKING nothing was going on today. Now being what she was Claire could easily have caused some trouble and made her day more exciting, but she didn't like using her powers unless someone made her use them. Which was why she was now ignoring the dark voice in her head that told her to just find someone and devour their soul in favor of her consience telling her that she wasn't hungry. Well at least you've gotten better at controlling your hunger, I remember those days when you couldn't even control your hunger for souls and went around in provocative clothing trying to get rapists to attemt to rape you. Odin said, interuppting her train of thought and making her grit her teeth. At least I was strong enough to take you in a one on one battle Odin. She thought as she walked into her favorite coffee shop and ordered a caramel Frappuchino and walked out with a large cup of her favorite kind of coffee, unknowingly being followed by a shinigami.... Tsubaki remained hidden in the shadows of a nearby building as the bount went into and came out of the coffee shop. There was no screaming, so it was reasonable to assume that no ones soul had been eaten, however Tsubaki knew that her job was to watch anything going on in Karakura town, especially after that incident with the damn quincy.
Suddenly there was movement in the corner of Tsubaki's eye. She whipped her head just in time to see a plus walk out of an alley, directly in the bount's path. Tsubaki acted quickly, allowing just barely enough energy to leak out that she could shunpo to the plus and carry it away with another shunpo, but she was careful not to reveal anything near her full strength, keeping her energy output close to that of a fourth or third seat officer. As soon as she was out of sight with the plus she preformed a soul burial and once again hid herself, moving back to where she could keep an eye on the bount...

When she walked by an Alley Claire noticed the Plus, and was going to ignore it, but she then saw a Shinigami appear by it and then both of them disappeared! Now naturally Claire was highly offended. Sure she was a bount, but she had slightly more acceptable...eating habits than other bounts did, she only ate the souls of two kinds of people: People that were criminals, or people she defeated in combat. You know, I don't appreciate people assuming I eat whatever souls I come across, Im a bit more civilized than that! She yelled before taking another sip of her Caramel Frappuchino, looking around for the Shinigami now that she knew she was being followed.... Tsubaki sighed, she had figured that her little stunt would get her noticed, but honestly, the woman sounded much to offended given the known history of her kind, but Tsubaki generally made it a habit not to judge without prior knowledge, which would be just as bad as intentionally going into a battle with no knowledge on the enemy whatsoever. Speaking of...
Whether or not you're civilized enough not to eat any soul you come across, I was doing my job, by the way, you may want to think about what you just said...
Tsubaki was projecting her voice to make it bounce off of the surrounding area so as not to give away her position as she slowly circled the area around the bount, staying out of sight.
Either way, if you want to confront me, prove your intentions as peaceful.
Tsubaki was crouched in the corner of two buildings, watching the bount off the reflection of the neighboring buildings windows, she knew that with the current situation, anyone could be useful, especially someone who could devour the souls of the escaped damned....

When the woman told her to prove her intentions as peaceful if she wanted to talk to her She Drew Genesis Blade from its sheathe and Showed it before throwing it as hard as she could at the Concrete wall next to her, making it sink into the concrete by a few inches. She then untied the sheathe from her waist and threw it onto the sidewalk. There would normally have been no way she'd remove odin from her finger, but curiosity got the better of her and she slipped it off of her finger and put it in her pocket. There. Im entirely unarmed, and you have my word that I'm only going to talk. If I break that word then you'll easily be able to dispatch me. Claire said as she took another sip of her frappuchino. Tsubaki almost laughed. Almost. The bount had decided to show her peaceful intentions rather...forcefully. She walked out of the shadows, a few meters in front of the bount.
Please pick up your weapon, you've proven your intentions rather adequately.
Tsubaki held out her hands to show she had now weapons in them, though if she were to remove all of her weapons it would take hours, so this was faster.
Now then, if you don't eat pluses, what do you eat?
This information would be helpful in deciding if she could be an asset against the togabito.

When the shinigami told her she could pick up her weapon Claire smiled and yanked the sword out of the concrete, then she would slip odin back onto her finger before picking up the sheathe of her sword. Then the shinigami came out holding up weapons of her own, and then asked her what she ate if she didn't eat pluses. Well Usually I eat the souls of murderers or rapists, you know, people that would go to hell and become a sinner otherwise, and if I can beat it, occasionally a Togabito here and there. She replied as she took another drink of her coffee. Oh and of course I eat food. She said with a smile as she showed the shinigami her coffee cup. Tsubaki grinned inwardly, this was exactly what she had wanted to hear, this particular bount would be an excellent resource. First however, she needed to get more information about her combat abilities. Though Tsubaki had to admit, the girls attitude had sparked her interest as well, she seemed friendly, a quality she herself sometimes lacked.
That's exactly what I was hoping to hear, now, if you don't mind, maybe we could go back into that restaurant and sit while we talk instead of standing here as spiritual signal flares? I would prefer if we didn't attract a horde of hollows.
With that Tsubaki walked into the building, gesturing to the other woman to follow.

When the shinigami said she'd prefer to speak somewhere where they wouldn't be walking spiritual flares claire smirked. She could tell that this woman wasn't trying to be a smartass, that she was just being smart. She could deal with being nice to this woman for a while. So, still smiling she followed the woman into the resturant, pausing at the door and searching for any trace of hollow reiatsu and finding none around them. Good, she didn't want to go up against a horde of hollows either. Thankfully the resturant was pretty empty so she sat down at a table by the window, that way if anything happened to show up they would have both their sight and their spiritual detection to warn them. Tsubaki sat down with the other woman and looked around, then she stood up.
If you'll excuse me, I'm going to go get my gigai out, unless you feel like looking like a nut job talking to herself.
Tsubaki walked into the bathroom, and in a moment walked out, this time in her gigai, wearing civilian clothes.
She sat back down and asked a waiter for a cup of hot water, once she got it she pulled out a tea bag and let it begin to steep.
Well, first I would like to ask about the extent of your abilities, and about your fighting style.

When she was asked about her spiritual powers and her fighting style Claire showed the shinigami her crystal ring. This is the sealed form of my Doll Odin, he's where most of my spiritual abilities come from, but Im not useless without him since I have a sword as well. And as for my fighting style? I mix odins capabilities with attacks of my own, and occasionally he'll let me use his sword, if the situation calls for it. Inwardly Tsubaki sighed. Either this woman was trying to answer her question without actually answering her question, or she was just a bit dull. Either way, if the conversation continued in this way, she would be unable to truly gather any information on the bount. She needed a better way to gauge her abilities, and that left very few options, and the quickest one was very...squad eleven like.
Alright...while that is interesting, it's not particularly informative, however, I have an idea.
Tsubaki took a sip of her tea while she paused.
What about a sparring match? That way we can both gauge each others abilities, and perhaps aid each other in the process.
