Erin Abel - Age 19__________________________________________________________
Ariella hadn’t been back in a while. This was getting to be too much. Erin went up to her feet, securing her zanpakuto to her hip and began to move. She peered out of the room she was in, checking both sides of her while her hands secured her robe. Then she went out, her entire body, save her head and feet, covered by the robe. She moved quickly through the dark and rather creepy barracks and after a few moments she had made it outside.
Once she was out in the fresh air she smiled and began to relax. The sunlight… Was that sunlight? Whatever it was warmed her and made her feel as though everything would be alright. She was confident in herself right now, and happy. She pushed forward and began walking the streets of the seireitei. Her eyes flickered around and she saw a lot of other shinigami passing by her as though she were just another. It was a rather nice thing. No one seemed to be questioning her or who she was. Hopefully she managed to stay out of trouble and avoid attention.

Tsubaki stood in the shadows, watching. She had been running errands when she had detected an unfamiliar spiritual pressure, and while she admittedly didn't know the spiritual pressure of every shinigami, and this pressure did belong to a shinigami, in the sereitei, this pressure did have an odd...twist to it. Most shinigami who spent a lot of time in the seireitei tended to feel as if they owned the place, a confidence that reflected itself in their presence, but this person didn't seem to have that confidence.
She had tracked down the source of the odd reiatsu, and that was who she was watching. The girl seemed to be young, but the way she moved almost screamed that she was trying to fit in like she belonged. Tsubaki came out of the shadows and seamlessly melded into the normal flow of people, positioning herself next to the girl she turned her head and addressed her.
What is your squad and seat?
The question was seemingly innocent, but for someone who didn't belong in the seireitei it would be terrifying.

As Erin strolled her body tensed slightly. Was someone watching her? The eerie feeling of eyes against her bothered her, but she didn’t worry to much. Instead she relaxed and continued walking, keeping her left hand on her tanto, which poked against her robes from within. Suddenly, someone was beside her, and after the question, Erin knew exactly how to handle it.
Her face looked bored. She turned her head slightly, and leaned back a bit to face the shinigami of potentially superior status and stared for a second before she determined she had not seen this person inside the barracks. “Fifth seat of the Twelfth squad. Excuse me but have I done something wrong?” She asked, speaking rather plainly, almost as if she was slightly annoyed by the question. She had noticed most of the shinigami in squad twelve had quite odd tendencies, and socially, most were not adept or simply hated other people, giving her speech a little bit of weight behind it.
“Besides, who am I speaking to?” She interjected while her face remained plain. Internally her heart skipped a beat after her own words, but she kept herself normal, at calm levels.

Tsubaki mentally sighed. The girl was good at lying, she'd give her that, but she had made one error. She had said she was from squad twelve, and considering the...tendencies of some of the members of research and development, as well as the potential for them to develop a new chemical or plant she could make use of, Tsubaki kept a close eye on that group, now if she had said she was from squad eleven, or if she had said that she was unseated, then it would be different since almost everyone in squad eleven was a battle minded idiot as well as generally being new she didn't keep as close of an eye on them, and no one could keep an eye on all of the unseated members of the Gotei. Either way though Tsubaki could tell that she didn't belong, though that came from years of practice rather than any overt sign that anyone could have picked up.
I am the Lieutenant of Squad two if you must know, and I would reccomend that you follow me right now, or risk my having to use...force.
Tsubaki had put particular emphasis on the word force, she wanted the intruder to know that she meant buisness, and with that she turned down a back alley and began to head by a round about way to her home, all the while keeping track of the intruder's reiatsu.

Erin could hear the Lieutenant talking but after the first few words there was a ringing in her ears. Her eyes followed the Shinigami and Erin turned, only taking few steps down the ally before stopping. “What is the meaning of this? I have more important things to do than play keep up with you Lieutenant. These bullshit games are unnecessary, not let me go along so that I may work!” She said aggressively. Internally though, she was freaking out, at the same time having to ask herself repeatedly, “Did I… I just said that, didn’t I? No, I didn’t say that..”
No matter how it seemed, she was feeling bitter from being left and stranded, and now it was beginning to show. “I demand you explain what you want with me right now! I will not follow you another step!” She shouted, tightening her grip on her blade. Her eyes were staring at the back of the shinigami that was still moving forward. How much force would be needed to stab through her spinal column? Perhaps that was a question she should save for Ariella later.

Tsubaki stopped. She could hardly believe the stupidity of the words that were just spoken to her, though she wasn't surprised. She had half expected something like this, after all, sometimes sticking to your lie worked, but not this time.
In a flash Tsubaki had shunpo'd behind the girl, both metal plated chopsticks out of her hair and in her hands, which incidentally happened to be pressing the tip of one against the girls jugular as the other one was pressed against the spot where the skull meets the spine.
Through clenched teeth Tsubaki hissed a response.
You have to play 'keep up' with me you. are. an. intruder. And if you don't follow me I will take appropriate actions.
Tsubaki let her reiatsu flare, not so much as to give away her true strength, but enough to show that she meant buisness
Now you're going to come with me quietly, we will go to my house, drink tea, and you will explain exactly what you are doing here, and I will then decide what to do with you, understood?

Words: 599 Notes: -- -- Erin Tsubaki And the science gets done And you make a neat gun Ariella was starting to spend more time in the Soul Society again. At least she had been trying to. She still avoided captains and other big names out there. She didn't need her name defamed any more than it already had become. She had taken an absence for quite some time to try and avoid making trouble for herself. This brought about a different issue though. When she got back, it occurred to her that Erin was still lurking around squad twelve. She had nearly forgotten about the girl with everything that had been going on lately. Of course when she went to check on the young shinigami, Erin was gone from the area Ariella specifically told her to stay in. She had even had someone to watch her, but they apparently had better things to do than listen to a third seat who was not above using terrible methods of punishment. Honestly members of her squad were getting useless.
Just as soon as she returned to her barracks, Ariella was heading out again. She had to find Erin and bring her back there any way that she could. She didn't need to be roaming around the Seireitei with so many stuck up and close minded people wandering about practically all of the time, a number of those certain people being ones who could get Ariella an all new serving of major trouble. She rushed through the streets, wishing she had planted a tracking device on Erin like she had Gray. it would have made her job a lot easier.
It turned out she didn't need the help though. Soon enough Ariella had Erin within her sights. There was just one issue that had her ducking down on a rooftop to hide. There was also another shinigami hanging about, looking really serious. All of a sudden she had moved, pressing something against the girl's flesh. Ariella cursed every bit of luck that fled her. Things could never be simple. It was just unheard of or something. She listened closely, hearing the stern woman's words. It was clear that she was onto Erin's place there, or lack there of, which made this even worse for Ariella. She narrowed her eyes, glaring harshly at the woman who would likely not be able to see her yet.
After a moment of getting herself together, Ariella leaped down to the ground where the other two females stood, her face expressionless and unreadable. "There you are" she said in her usual flat tone, looking at Erin. Her blue eyes then turned to the other shinigami, her brow arching slightly. "What's going on here?" she asked like the woman was the one in the wrong here. Even if the woman wanted to, she wouldn't be able to tell that Ariella was putting up any kind of act. She never showed much emotion anyway, so controlling what little bit of nervousness made its way into her head was an easy task. She seemed completely calm, perhaps a bit confused by the situation if anything. She was also trying to think of ways to punish the girl for leaving, but that could be saved for later. She had to actually get her back to her barracks before any of that could happen. "Stop playing around. I need your help back in our own barracks" her eyes were back on Erin, looking at her expectantly, like she was serious as a superior officer. She assumed Erin was going to use the same cover she had tried to pull with Ariella, using her own squad.

Erin Abel - Age 19__________________________________________________________
Erin saw the lieutenant’s image flash before she realized the woman was gone, and she could feel the could blades against her throat. There was a small pause as Erin exhaled, but she kept relaxed, or as relaxed as she could be as the weight of reiatsu pressed down on her. “Squad two, assassination unit.” She said softly before Ariella had appeared. A few seconds later and Erin would have already given herself up. With her friend now here, and speaking with the very same act that Erin had been putting on, the weakest of the three shinigami slowly reached up and gently pushed on Tsubaki’s arm and stepped out of the line of the two weapons against her.
She knew Tsubaki would let her, especially in the presence of another Shinigami. “I was trying!” She shouted weakly, still slightly suppressed. “Miss Lieutenant here thought it would be fun to accuse me of being an intruder, and halt me. Even going so far as to put her blades against my neck!” She said angrily as he pathetic reiatsu tried to flare out with her act. Hopefully Ariella would intercept the fact that Tsubaki was in fact a lieutenant. After that, Erin would twist her head and glare at Tsubaki before scowling even. “I shudder to think of what disrespect they teach you in squad two!” Inside Erin was sure she was about to faint. She would never dream of doing this. This was so wrong, but being mean was kind of nice. It was a change of pace she was enjoying.

Tsubaki was getting rather tired of this, and was just about to ready to knock out both the intruder and the new shinigami, who was legitimate, to squad two headquarters for interrogation, but she didn't want to deal with the paperwork just yet, and it wasn't as if she had no information on the newcomer, after all she did keep an eye on squad twelve, and it was time to make that known.
Arelia Artaxerxes, 3rd seat of squad twelve. You have told me a bald faced lie in order to cover for an intruder. I am well aware that this person is not the fifth seat of your squad as she claims as I have kept an eye on your squad. As such there is no point in trying to keep up this farce.
Tsubaki took a moment to calm down as she stared the two girls down.
Now, you will come with me, or I will take you for interrogation, and I know that there are...things...you would prefer not be known.
Tsubaki's tone left no doubt that she would act on her threat, she didn't care if this was public, no one would come after her for taking down an intruder and someone who sheltered said intruder, and that last bit would likely help get them to follow her, even if she didn't actually have any information on their secrets it didn't hurt to make them think that she did, after all, everyone has something to hide.

Words: 592 Notes: -- -- Erin Tsubaki And the science gets done And you make a neat gun Erin seemed pretty happy she was there. Was she finally winning against that Shiro guy? She should have been. He was busy with his weird hair parties, not the one here saving the girl. Not that it mattered much. Ariella just liked to have some bit of an ego at times. It seemed this was as good a time as any to be thinking on things like that. The other woman here was hardly a concern to Ariella. At least that was what she had thought when she first arrived. Then she went on talking, clearly not too happy with either of them. Ariella hardly looked remorseful or worried though. She kept that same unreadable expression through everything that was said. If the lieutenant thought she was going to break them down, well she was at least half way wrong.
Finally the woman finished, and gave Ariella some peace and quiet in her head. She almost wished she hadn't enhanced her hearing so much. She rubbed her ear for a moment, almost like she was completely brushing the woman off entirely, not all the upset by her threats. She wasn't to be honest. This woman could tell people whatever she wanted to. She had gotten away with kidnapping a fullbirnger, stashing him away in her barracks. Even the Head Captain had seemed okay enough with it when that news finally got to him via some source Ariella preferred to ignore. She didn't think stashing a soon to be official shinigami was going to get her into any real trouble. All of her other secrets were as justified as the fullbringer as well. It was all for science, just using her preferred methods.
"I'm not really sure what you're talking about in detail, but you may do as you wish. On another note Erin is hardly an intruder. I've brought her into out ranks myself to assist me. All that is left is the official paperwork from my captain who has been absent as of late" she explained, not actually lying at all. It had been her plan ever since she brought Erin back to the Soul Society. She could say she was doing it for that quincy guy, but she really preferred not to, instead telling herself it was just to get an assistant. Not even Erin would have known that though. Well, she would have if she had stayed put like Ariella had instructed. It was better to stay put until things became official, mostly because of people like this one. But no, Erin just had to rush along. That action came back to Ariella's attention, and she glanced over to the girl, a thousand warnings going through her eyes. Erin had every right to be scared now.
After a moment she looked bac to the lieutenant, waiting for any kind of reaction. "So do you still have a problem here?" she questioned, arching her brow, just daring the woman to have something else threatening to say to either of them. This was once again one of those times when it probably wasn't the best idea to be so indifferent towards ranks. Her mouth got her in trouble before. She didn't even know this lieutenant, but if she was anything like the other she had met, she likely wasn't going to take that kindly to what Ariella was saying to her. She had those terrifying chopsticks too. Oh yeah, those really scared Ariella. She was looking at the woman with that blank stare so void of fear.

Erin was standing calmly, her eyes shifting between the two as the lieutenant spoke out. When she said she wasn’t the fifth seat Erin let out a gentle sigh, “I’m not the fifth seat, I just like to pretend I am.” She said meekly, looking down towards the ground before Ariella began to speak. Erin was sure to pick up every word, even though the ringing was coming back to her, she was horribly frightened, holding steady on the outside just barely, but holding steady all the same. A few moments before Ariella had finished speaking, Erin had turned her head to the visored and paused. With that glance Erin had suddenly straightened up, and there was visible worry in her face.
She lowered her head in submission for a moment showing Ariella she understood she was in trouble. When her head came up she turned and faced Tsubaki, waiting for whatever else she would have to say. From the outside of her robe, she was in a completely non-aggressive stance, though inside the robes she was still holding her tanto handle tightly. She was underestimated, being the weakest here, she knew it, but if something happened and she would have to act, she would act.

Tsubaki's head was beginning to hurt. These people couldn't actually be this thick could they? All Tsubaki had intended to do was to take the girl back to her home and figure out why she was here, then move on based on that information, if she had wanted to hurt her then the girl would already be on the ground, but maybe at this point that was where they needed to be.
Tsubaki reached slid the chopsticks back into her sleeves and relaxed her posture, putting on an air of calm before raising her hands in a gesture of peace, a gesture that was soon ruined by the words that she quickly barked out.
Bakudo number nine, Geki!
As the red energy was released from Tsubaki's left palm and shot towards Ariella Tsubaki's right hand shot into her robe, coming back out with a knife gripped in her fist, held in a way that obviously showed that she was going to use it if anyone tried to escape.
You two really need to learn who you can mouth off to, if you had cooperated this would have been avoided.
((OOC: The compartment in the knife has a mild paralysis poison, strong enough to effect limbs or a torso when it cuts for about two posts))

Words: 357 Notes: -- -- Erin Tsubaki And the science gets done And you make a neat gun Erin knew she was in deep shit even if the lieutenant left them alone. She likely was as doomed as a certain fullbringer, but still pretty doomed. Ariella was just about to turn around and drag Erin along with her, seeing as to how the other shinigami wasn't doing anything at the moment. Perhaps she learned that she shouldn't be so nosy about things that didn't concern her. Ariella had plenty of room to talk about not being nosy too. No one ever said she wasn't a complete hypocrite most of the time.
Just as soon as she reached out to take the girl's wrist, the lieutenant announced her Kido, getting Ariella's attention immediately. she turned her head fast, eyes slightly wide. she saw the blast being fired off and by instinct used her newly acquired shunpo to dodge backward as fast as she could, coming to a stop right against one of the white walls of a building. Her eyes narrowed in on the lieutenant who had attacked her, anger clear in her eyes for once. This woman was getting in her way and wasting her time. Ariella eyed that knife, straightening herself up as she took in the situation, hearing what the woman had to say, not really taking any of it to heart.
"Why don't you avoid it for us, and stop interfering in affairs that don't concern you" she countered, not showing the slightest hint of fear in that moment. She had given the woman an explanation that justified Erin's being there. She couldn't figure out what more the woman wanted from them. She just came to the conclusion that she was being difficult after being utterly embarrassed or proven wrong. Ariella had no time for matters like that. She didn't even care about the knife that the lieutenant was holding in a way that made her intentions clear. Ariella just walked back over to Erin, taking her wrist perhaps a bit too roughly, all the piled up things beginning to wear on her own nerves. "We'll be leaving now" she stated, looking over to the woman, waiting for any objections.

She began taking a few steps towards Ariella, keeping eyes on Tsubaki. Erin was keeping cool for the most part, but because of that gaze Ariella had shot her, there was some worry in her. Hell, there was more worry in what Ariella would do than anything Tsubaki could do. Her eyes shifted to Ariella and she lowered her head, before suddenly the kido rang out. Erin turned and jumped back, spying that the attack was not heading her way. “Ariella.” She said concerned as she turned, seeing it narrowly miss her comrade who had learned how to shunpo since their last meeting. That was a good thing. Or a bad thing. Erin wasn’t quite sure yet. Instead she was moving much quicker to Ariella, who suddenly grabbed Erin’s wrist harshly. She made a small sound, almost like a yelp of pain before looking up then away, like a dog who knew it had done something wrong.
She didn’t face Tsubaki, she just moved with Ariella.

Tsubaki was done with intimidating, threatening, or ordering. She was fed up with the fact that someone so far below her thought to make a fool of her, and she was done waiting. She was going to act.
Tsubaki crouched as she shunpo'd past the two of them, reaching out her knife and slashing at Ariel's leg as she passed, if contact was made the leg would become paralyzed in a matter of moments. After she was once again in front of the pair she threw the knife at Ariella while she reached into her sleeve and gripped her zanpakutou, but she didn't draw it...yet.
You are not telling me the truth, or at least not the whole truth. Now you will come with me, share tea, and let me know what is really going on. If you had wanted her as just an assistant you wouldn't be sneaking her in, you would have gotten her approved before bringing her in, and if you don't come and give me the information peacefully I will take you and conduct my own investigation, and I'm sure that Division twelve knows about some of my poisons, so trust me, you don't want the latter option.
Tsubaki also knew that if she really wanated to she could just take them by force, neither of them was a match for her and they knew it, but she decided to give them one last chance, if they didn't take this chance...well they'd better take this chance.
