Male | Heterosexual | Togabito ALIASES:Wrath AGE:2186 AGE OF APPEARANCE:Twenties RANK:Wrath
FACE CLAIM:K Project -- Suoh Mikoto HEIGHT:6’3”
WEIGHT:190lbs
APPEARANCE: Kenshin could be considered tall but often finds himself of average height, reaching 6’3” tall. His features are rather bland compared to some, his status as a Sin could easily be lost on people unaware of his presence. His skin is rather pale while a slight tanned edge, so as to not be too pale. His hair upon his head is a deep red, flicked back with a few strands loose at the front which loft their way down across his face occasionally. His hair is of medium length, reaching just under his chin and not quite his shoulders while the majority of it is slicked back, the length of it is hidden. Upon his left ear at the top is a small silver earing with a bright red crystal in it, often glowing with some mysterious power. Around his neck is a long necklace of unique and unknown origins, wrapped around once and then left to hang town his torso. Made of red material with a 3 piece cross-section to create a 6 pointed star shape, loose strands of the material extending further down and cupped with silver blocks at the tips.
Both his arms are accompanied by bracelets of varying sizes, shapes and colors. Some made from wood, others steel, other odd materials which aren’t recognizable. Around his torso is a white shirt, the neck a v shape which extends slightly down his chest. Over the top of this is his familiar black jacket, full length at the arms and reaching his wrists. The jacket is often kept open, leaving it to hang loose. The jacket has a hood at the top, which is lined with a dark brown fur all around the edges. Around his legs is a rather nice fitting pair of jeans, dark blue in color and held high by a black leather belt. The belt has a silver buckle and small silver edged holes to adjust for size. A chain hands loose on his left side, clipped to his jeans and left their as a fashion thing.
LIKES: Music Always having been a favorite of Wrath, he’s a firm supporter of music and will generally have some device on him to produce music for him to listen to, even if he himself has to produce it with a guitar or something else.
Solitude A solitary man by all forms and means, though not lacking in social situations, he just prefers to have his silence and alone time, often finding most people lacking in sufficient entertainment.
Manipulation Wrath is a trickster of all kinds, and will often test his theories and play with people to get their reactions and study how they perform his various tasks. He will pit people against each other and try to challenge himself in as many ways as possible.
Fire A unexplained comfort and familiarity in its company, Wrath is obsessed with fire and loves to have some form around him as often as practically possible. His obsession with fire doesn’t necessarily mean harm or destruction, he just loves the feel of the flames and the colors it produces.
Night Though his affinity to fire and the light it produces, he also finds a solitary peace with the stars above his head and everything still at night. The noises, the smells, the moon, everything changes when under the observation of the moon.
Games Not the video game sort, but manipulation and deception are his two greatest tools that he loves to abuse and test. His fascination with odd situations and results often resorts to him creating games, tests and challenges that he forces other people through.
DISLIKES: Human Society One of the bigger things that Wrath completely despises to a huge degree, his view of humans is weak and pathetic, and a gathering such as their society only makes him dislike them more.
People People in regards to their personalities, he often finds them rather annoying and unlikeable, much like his view of them in general, he often struggles to connect with anyone on a personal level.
Serious A serious person is a boring person, and a boring person doesn’t entertain. Without entertainment, there is no use. The simplest and easiest way to explain is disinterest in anyone boring, often leaving them alone and not worth any effort.
Cold Being a person of warmer favors, Wrath finds himself uncomfortable in colder environments, often avoiding them for something much warmer and more appropriate to his nature and being.
Discomfort His pleasure comes at the expense of others, often putting them out of their comfort zones and being able to witness their reaction and uncomfortable position for himself. One of the reasons he will play games with people.
Work Wrath hates working, his own interests coming before any form of work of any kind. The only type of work that wouldn’t be considered here is his own designated stuff, as he doesn’t view it as work.
NEGATIVE TRAITS: Vengeful Unforgiving in his own retribution, Wrath often takes things personally and rarely lets things go. He enjoys the pursuit and often creates the events into games to which he can push further and seek the satisfaction he requires.
Aggressive The fury and aggression of some of the greatest beasts would bare close to that of what Wrath himself holds within, his own released in small torrents which only resemble a small portion of his controlled aggression.
Ruthless An advantage to someone so selectively apathetic, everything becomes easier when certain emotions aren’t considered. Guilt and regret, just to name a few of the real killers inside of people, which neither have grasp of him.
Careless Obvious in his dealings, the carelessness inflicted by Wrath is as obvious as his own hair, his lack of response to this carelessness being a huge tool to help him be who he is.
Hateful A man of fierce connective aggression, easily pissed off and with an everlasting memory and unforgiving mind, it’s not wise to obtain the rights to that passage. Combined with his sought vengeance, makes Wrath a relentless enemy.
POSITIVE TRAITS: Perceptive His obsession of details has driven him a practiced and brutally mastered perception in everything he does, his senses searching for more information naturally. Details are always worth more than they appear.
Intelligent Incredibly intelligent, his success in his human life was attributed to his sheer brute intelligence, the kind that when combined with knowledge and an apathetic emotion base, leaves little to be desired in his chosen field.
Fierce Wrath can be hugely intense with a lot of what he does, while not always violent in action, his eagerness to do it often gives it a fierce edge. Though not exclusive to his violent behaviors, he shares fierce qualities in both.
Courageous Courageous to a near fault, the man has been known to recklessly abandon fear and face whatever he should, regardless of risk. His own goals more important than his life, without achieving his goals, his life would have little meaning.
Energetic Wrath has a massive reserve of energy, rarely resting and taking time off to laze around. He is constantly driven with an unknown source of fuel which keeps him active and moving at a rapid pace.
WEAPONS:Kenshin has a list of weapons which he will often bring into a fight at will, capable of summoning them at will easily, the most often of which is a large sword. The entire construct of the blade is made with religious intentions in mind, the design used against those of religious nature while he himself is not. It’s his rebellious way of fighting against it all. The blade is five and a half feet long, the handle making up a quarter of that length by itself, able to easily be wielded with two hands. The blade has a cross section for a hand-guard, while the rest of it is relatively basic.
Kenshin also has his chain attached to him, he usually keeps it wrapped around his left arm from shoulder to wrist. Knowing how durable they are, he often uses this to his advantage to help him block some considerable damage, although considering the nature of the chain it’s difficult to always get it into place in time. This chain is the only weapon on his body which can’t be removed or summoned at will, as it is tied to him eternally.
Also in his arsenal are six separate katana, each an exact replica of the last. 26 inches in length from end to end, the blades are of master craftsmanship. The blade’s themselves are matte black, therefore reflecting no light and maintaining the color regardless of condition, while the cutting edge parallel is silver and unpainted. The cross-guard between the blade and handle is circular in nature, and also black. The cross-guard has an odd design to it, the engravings marked into the circular material all symbols of faces and spikes. The accompanying scabbards are once again matte black, from top to bottom with no extra detail. The handles on the swords are silver underneath while the cloth above to create the grip is black, contrasting nicely and giving the blade a little bit more detail.
TECHNIQUES:
Name: Wrath’s Welcome Type: Offensive Cooldown: One posts Cost: Small Range: Short - Mid Description: Wrath extends a hand forward, his reiatsu focusing on the palm in a projected blast he as he fires it into the distance. The flames of the blast have a few unique properties; the flame is gaseous like fire and ranges on the color spectrum from yellow through red to blue, the flame however soaks and has similar adhesive properties as water. Meaning if struck by the fire, regardless if it catches any clothing or flammable material, the flame will stick to anything hit and slowly spread. Another unique property is the way it inflicts damage, instead of burning like flames, the blast dissolves materials like acid at a rapid rate based on SEI vs SEI. The rate and potency of the flames is exclusive to his SEI stat, however the technique is easily extinguished if the opponent has a higher SEI stat than him. Wrath’s Welcome is active for one post before going on cooldown.
Name: Wrath’s Gauntlets Type: Offensive Cooldown: Two posts Cost: Small Range: Short Description: Using the same flame properties from Wrath’s Welcome, Kenshin covers his hands in large claws made of the flame. The flames have no protective properties in this state, as it is purely offensive. The flames cover both entire arms from shoulder down to hand, the hand transforming into the shape of a claw with the flames, the tips of each finger extending three inches longer with a wicked hook at the end. Once again the flames are capable of easily being extinguished if the opponent has a higher SEI and the capabilities of the flames themselves rely on his SEI stat. The technique lasts for two posts before going on cooldown for two.
Name: Wrath’s Anger Type: Offensive Cooldown: Two posts Cost: Medium Range: Short - Medium Description: Using the same flame properties from Wrath’s Welcome, Kenshin afflicts his blades in their glory, covering them entirely from hilt to tip. When the blades are covered in flames, Kenshin can manipulate the blades telekinetically in a twenty meter radius, and because he has covered them in the flames, he naturally has a mental link to where they are. The blades never operate on their own when under the influence of the technique, their telekinesis is solely operated by Kenshin, thus they cannot home in on their opponent without direction.
Name: Wrath’s Will Type: Defensive Cooldown: Four posts Cost: Medium Range: Short Description: Kenshin has developed a defensive tool to help protect himself using his offensive abilities. When required, Kenshin releases a burst of reiatsu, which carries the properties of the flames from Wrath’s Welcome. The burst of flames act to set everything on fire, the aim being himself. With the reiatsu being his, he is unaffected by the acidic nature of the flames, and gains a protective layer of flame armor which surrounds him in a fury of flicking flames. The flames still hold the acidic property, just not to Kenshin, so when attacked depending on SEI vs SEI, the armor can break what is attacking him or it itself will be useless and the attack will pierce if his is lower. The armor lasts three turns and has a four post cooldown.
TRUE FORM:description: Kenshin is one of the few Sins to have a True Form which doesn’t change much of his overall appearance, his true form is controlled and aggressive but physically nothing of note changes in his appearance. One of the more major changes taking effect on the environment itself rather than him, when unleashing his true form, Kenshin literally explodes outward with flames. These flames are aesthetic only and will spread out rapidly covering a quarter of a mile radius, everything in that area will explode and catch fire, burning indefinitely while his true form is active.
The sky above turns an odd mixture of yellow and red, thick black clouds spotted throughout the air as smoke trails high into the sky. The flames themselves range from yellow, to red and then to blue on the color spectrum, leaving a wide mixture of flame colors with the exception of anything between blue and yellow. Purples, oranges, reds, blues, yellows all devour everything in flames. Kenshin himself gains an outer layer of flames, again only aesthetic, which flicker at anything close. Those who stand close enough to him will feel an odd type of heat which comes off of him, though incapable of burning, it gives the affect that he’s literally the source of all the flames. When in true form all of his clothes and hair will waver and flicker as if affected by a great wind, some even perceiving it as a dedication to his strength but overall it adds to the overall effect when changing into that monster.
type: Fire
stat upgrades: which stats increase in this form and by how much? Only fill this out after you have been given your class/level.
techniques:
Name: Dragon’s Roar Type: Offensive Cooldown: Two posts Cost: Medium Range: Medium Description: Kenshin extends his hand forward and lets loose a large flame which swallows the air in front of it. This flame has the same properties as Wrath’s Welcome, and extends medium distance while covering a rather wide and tall area at the same time, almost like a cone in shape. The flames themselves are dependent on his SEI stat, and will be distinguished if the opponent has a higher SEI than him.
HISTORY: Nothing about Kenshin’s life had been fair, the man was born into a poor family with in a dirty region of the city. Murder and theft was common and little was often done about it, the majority of the city was corrupt to the highest dollar, leaving little hope for the poor unskilled boy to survive successfully without turning to those odds as well. He often ran the town, watching and learning secrets of the children as they played pranks to those of higher wealth in order to gain the advantage and then steal what they could. Often stores set along the streets were the first stops as they rarely had someone close enough to pursue any child.
His mother was a whore, and his birth was insignificant, he didn’t even know of his own father figured and hadn’t known to care for either as his own greed left him wanting more than neither could access. He became homeless at a significantly early age, taking to the streets like all other kids of his wealth. Often they banded together, the reward being worth more when you could achieve a better lift, although often the object you sought wasn’t worth a lot of money, but had value, as selling was difficult for the children. Most in the city knew of the children and tried to avoid it, but it was inevitable.
Kenshin had come to earn a few friends while in the small little band that he was, the five of them working well together to distract, lift and then misdirect for the perfect crime. Their life had become easier since banding together, although still difficult in its ways, they had become use to the neglect and lack of luxury. Often they all slept in the dirt, no roof above their head and with little comfort with rocks beneath. The discomfort was worth the sacrifice to live the life they chose. They gave up their homes in order to obtain a constant source of food, and even clothes every now and again.
Years passed as Kenshin grew and the antics as a child were slowly starting to fall behind, their large stature making it more difficult to pull the same tricks. They often had to adjust, but with every day practice they became experts that were rarely matched in skill. Their ability in the streets had become noted by people of stature and they were often paid to perform tasks in secret, which proved even more beneficial as they soon as option in what they could acquire while money was hard to steal. The jobs they were paid to perform were becoming increasingly difficult however, almost as if their ‘employers’ were testing their willingness and ability slowly for something greater.
When the jobs had become a lot harder, they requested more money, and slowly things ramped up to a new level where the streets was purely their home, they no longer robbed from the stores but instead bought from there. They were known for their acts, and often feared by the people of the streets, though none dared stand up to them because the nature of the jobs had slowly shifted. Some involved beatings, theft and even a threat of death. Little could be done to stop them however, as they had no distinct location where they could be found. Without homes they moved so frequently that it was rare to find them when you wanted to.
Time came when the group split, some not having the heart to keep going on the more vicious and savage route that they were slowly turning to. Instead they invested their accrued wealth for housing and a new life elsewhere. Kenshin enjoyed the jobs though, the power and stature it put him at was exciting and invigorating. It became less about the wealth and more about what they could achieve. Things started to progress even rapidly when the people who paid the money realized their willingness to do what they were doing. It wasn’t long until Kenshin was asked to murder for the right amount of money. It was at this point that the others stood their ground and said they would help him, but would not kill, that would have to be done by him and him alone.
Kenshin understood their incapability, believing himself increasingly more powerful because he was able and they weren’t, instead he helped them and was happy to do his own work when required. The group was capable of staying together longer when they all understood what each would and wouldn’t do. Splitting up wouldn’t help any of them, and they had been together for so long that the bond they shared was closer than that of family.
The day came when the ultimate job had befallen his grips. He was being asked to murder someone of great importance. They were so important that they had protection, guards surrounding them more often than not and their place of residence surrounded high and heavily secured. It was one of the biggest jobs he had been asked to do, and the idea of it excited him to no end. He enlisted the help of his friends to get close, distractions popular and still a trick that worked well.
With the guards distracted and the whole group on caution, Kenshin made his move. The man weaved through guards, wasting them with small daggers in his hands, the sky was black and the moon was low behind a nearly mountain. He had so practiced for the challenge that awaited him, his target slowly getting closer and closer as guard after guard fell to the blades in his hands. It had turned out a trap however, his target supposedly in a building, but the building was empty. Instead it was rigged with explosives, the wall lined with oil and the doors locked shut after he had entered. The windows were quickly barricaded after he made entrance.
Once he made it into the building, he began his rapid search for the person he was targeting, he was making his way to the second floor when the entire structure exploded and shrapnel shredded his body. He died immediately and his body was swallowed in flames while the mangled corpse lay lifeless on the stairs.
Kenshin was swiftly sent to hell, his time there endless and repetitive. Chains binding his body indefinitely while he lay there to die and be reborn, only to once again die. His mind was forever on that last job though, he was trying to figure out what had happened, why he had been targeted. Why he hadn’t seen it coming, he was consumed with anger at his own failure. No matter how many times his body was disposed and his mind reborn in the depths of hell, it was torn to that one aspect of his life. His failure and he became furious, his power rising the more he thought about it.
Eventually he was capable of breaking free and broke the chains which bound him. He escaped the depths of hell entitled Wrath and sought out answers to the life he had failed previously.
RP SAMPLE: She was hoping that if her own dismissal of protocol wasn't enough to drive his forced behavior away then time with her would, showing that her appreciation and requirement for the strict appearance of those around her was unnecessary. Though she could imagine it would be hard to make such a harsh jump when you could easily be punished for it by others. While they were still a militant faction in a sense, she felt that given the circumstances such harsh control was unnecessary in a social setting. Whether Hideyoshi came to the conclusion or not was dependent on the conversation.
The thanks was quickly returned with a slight nod of her own to acknowledge his appreciation, though the tone wasn't quite as she had hoped. She let it pass, instead listening to his mention of Ryuuto. Her asking hadn't proven any answer however, only recognition that her Lieutenant did actually exist and confirmed that she hadn't conceived the notion of having one. Which was at least some progress, as his lack of appearance lately made her wonder if she had been going insane every time they'd spoken.
|
[/ul] She noted his displeasure at the smallest difference in his appearance. Something she felt in common with the man, and something that wasn't born through Shinigami life, it was often a result of something before they were transcended to this world. Her eyes focused on his chest pocket for a moment, the one he had adjusted, without realizing her own lapse. Her mind was trying to grab at something which wasn't there, her amnesia of her human life obviously the target of the reminder. It was something that she herself would have done, to uphold her appearance, but why it was important to her was amiss. She blinked rapidly for a moment, her trance broken by the voice of the lieutenant before her. A smile crossing her lips momentarily as she humbly bowed at his acquaintance being made. Hideyoshi Shirotaka. A name she wouldn't likely forget again. It became apparent as to why she hadn't known the man's name however, his own position only being acquired lately as described by the man. She felt a little relieved she hadn't made a complete fool of herself. [/ul] Her eyes catching the movement of his hand in the corner of his eyes, though not aggressive, it still made her curious to his intentions. It hadn't taken long before he explained however, his own position in his past life still casting motions on his current. It was something she could relate to, often her body reacted without delay, for reasons which escaped her. It was odd how it happened, she had likely been alive for a very, very small portion of her current life. She had two and a half millennium in her current life, but even still actions from her life affected her now. I think there needs to be a bit more detail on his time in Hell, especially considering how old he is. You don't get into the EL range just from dying a lot. Just throw in a training montage, or something, and it should be good.
And don't worry, I'll extend the reservation a couple days in case you don't have time to do it tonight.
