Its was rare for Masato to be out and about above the Nest of Maggots. He was rarely seen in public at all as he preferred to remain under the cover and security of darkness. Dawn was slowly approaching as a cool summer's breeze gently blew through the slightly cracked window. A subtle reminder that his Lieutenant was likely in his room tending to the duties he had no time to bother himself with. As Captain, Masato's plate was always full. He never minded it though.
This morning however he needed a break from the training and brainwashing. The newer members of Onmitsukido were taking a little more time to break than usual. Masato liked to personally interrogate and 'torture' his new subordinates. It allowed him to brainwash them into loyal fearsome warriors. Each member had to be bound to Masato's very word. It was a much messier game than dealing with hollows and it was highly controversial. Luckily for Masato he was also in charge of the Maggot's Nest where all of his training took place. All recruits were whisked away under the guise of being threats to the Soul Society. It allowed Masato to do as he wished with the men in his care and those that proved to be untrainable remained there. Those that could emerged as new soldiers in his army clad in crimson and onyx, the very same colors Masato himself wore.
He sat in the chair at his deck and rested his cheek in the palm of his hand staring at the paperwork on his desk that was already neatly arranged and stacked. Masato soon dozed off as his restlessness gave way to fatigue. As he drifted he could see the first rays of daybreak emerging over the horizon. It wouldn't be long before his nap was interrupted by someone.

Well, not power, but control. He was the one that had to teach the new recruits the ropes, when it came to how things were done here. He hated the given job, it forced him to have to talk out loud and repeat the same set of instructions, over and over. He also had to deal with the rebels, the ones who didn't do as he says because he was only the third seat. While it was true that he was just a third seat and wasn't greatly powerful, he still held some form of power, at least over them. So he simply had to put fear in to their hearts, threathen them the way he only knew how, brute force and assurance of what the captain would do to them.
This of course tended to always work, but did increase the number of those that disliked him. It was fine of course, he was just there to do his job and follow protocal. He didn't care which of the recruits he piss off, if they dislike his methods, they can go to the captain. But only idiots would actually go to the captain, his methods were much more extreme and painful. They had it lucky to have a calm and cool minded person like Jashin, if he had the ruthlessness of the captain, they would be pissing their pants. Those that break wouldn't qualify to be apart of this division and those who dealt with it, passed the first of many difficult test. Jashin went through it, the lieutinant went through it, and the captain did, so they should only hope to have the same mentaility as himself and the other two did.
Moving the control over to the lietunant, Jashin went in search of the captain. He wanted to feel him in on the recruits progress and the number of those that couldn't handle the process to becoming a full fledge member of this division. He also wanted to see what the next plan of action will be, he only hoped that it was something they can handle. He also hoped that it required him to only speak every once and a while. The captain and lieutinant were probably better at stuff like that, he was better at organizing paper work and carrying out orders. Stepping up to the right of the captain, he place his hands behind himand stood in a up right stance. "Captain, I have the current reports for the recruits and their current standings." he spoke in a low, but hearable tone. He knew the captain was sleeping, but he was known as the silent sleeper type.

Dusk was fast approaching. His lungs burning, his body aching.Eyes fixated on one single target, his master and his mentor. Most of all the love of his life. Unfortunately he was never able to express such feeling. Just the very sight of her gave him butterflies. Now he was chasing her down in a test of speed that was half sport and half serious. He was close always just a step behind, just out of reach but close enough that her scent continued to drive each foot forward. For a second he closed his eyes just to embrace the smell.
Just as the scent reached his nose he could here a voice calling him...
The sound of Jashin's voice was an unwelcome interruption to Masato's dream. He shot the younger shinigami a glare but quickly composed himself. Janshin and Tsubaki were the most trusted and most loyal of his subordinates. The prime reason Jashin was still standing tall was due to that fact. Masato listened closely to Jashin's report. He wasn't very confident in what the new results would hold. This new batch seemed very weak in mind and body. They lacked heart. they were just young warriors seeking glory in the Gotei's most elite and feared organization. Thrill seekers were not fit to join the ranks of Onmitsukido.
"What do we have Jashin?" Masato slowly rose up inhis seat; fixing his eyes upon Jashin as he awaited the results.

But he knew that he had to, the captain did ask of them to report the progress of the new members after a while. Jashin was simply soing what was told of him, plus he was fine with taking any type of reprecaussion given. He knew about the consequnces that came when it dealt with some issues. he probably would just be made to file a lot of paperwork or clean the barracks. He has done both jobs before. so it wouldn't be difficult for him to do. In actuality, he did jobs such as that the best. Being a composive neat freak, he wanted things to be as organized as possible, and they sure as hell would be.
Seeing the captain move and awake from his sleep, he kept in a stern stance. His gaze stayed focus on the area before him as he notice the captain had shot him a rather menacing glare. Not showing much of a reaction, he waited until he was spoken to before speaking. "Their progress is not meeting the quota that we had hope. Some are being a bit negligent, while others falter in some areas that should be easy. I would say that only about twelve are actually ready for the next trails, the rest would need more work. What would you like to do, Captain?" he filled the captain in with a clear and calm tone. He really didn't find much promise in these new recruits, it was saddening to watch. Hopefully they can be whip into shape.
