For: Hollow techniques
Name: Lion's Maw
Type: Offensive
Cooldown: Two posts
Cost: Moderate
Range: Up to nineteen feet, but must remain attached to the ground, thus ineffective against airborne enemies.
Description: Against an enemy on the ground, Desertman may morph one of his sand-hands into a sandstone sculpture of a lion's head with a spikey, flame-like mane launched forward with devastating force by a jet of sand blasting out behind it. It can't change direction once fired and has a very short range for a projectile-esque move, nor can it be shot into the air, limiting it's usage and effectiveness. However this move is extremely effective, as the Lion's head has greatly exaggerated teeth, cutting enemies and striking them with tremendous force. This is basically the equivalent of shooting a statue at someone. Again, can only strike enemies on the ground.
For: Hollow Techniques
Name: Antlion Tunnel
Type: Trap/Offensive
Cooldown: Five posts
Cost: High
Range: Three foot radius around trap
Description: Requires a hole filled with sand, and can only be used on the ground. Desertman creates a concealed vortex of sand hidden by a thin, unmoving surface layer. The moment an enemy steps onto the trap they are sucked down into the vortex as deep as it goes. The sand swirls within the tunnel so forcefully it acts as an abrasive, enabling it to grind flesh and erode stone, making it dangerous to be trapped within. However, most enemies can probably fight their way out of this trap without receiving major damage, making it best to use when the enemy is tired. Also good for tiring feisty opponents and wearing down the defenses of armored foes. Difficult to use, as there is no guarantee the enemy will step on the trap, and it requires a lot of sand to use. It's possible to escape from this with physical or spiritual abilities, but whatever stat the enemy is using needs to be higher than Desertman's SEI (used to determine the strength of his sand in all uses) to escape in one post. An enemy can escape in two posts even if they are weaker, but they will probably take more damage. The trap lasts only two posts whether someone falls in it or not.
For: Hollow Techniques
Name: Sand Wall
Type: Defensive
Cooldown: One post
Cost: Low
Range: 1 - 30 feet
Description: Desertman creates a simple wall from hyper concentrated sand, taking on extreme toughness for a few seconds before collapsing back into normal sand. The presence of his reiatsu in the sand wall further bolsters it's durability. It mimics the shape of ancient style bricks although it's just a visual trick. The sand wall is quite defensible and offers protection from most venues of attack, even things Desertman is usually weak against like water or wind. However, he can only make one sand wall at a time, leaving him vulnerable against flanking attacks and feint strikes when using it.
For: Hollow Techniques
Name: Burial Stone
Type: Offensive
Cooldown: Three posts
Cost: Moderate
Range: Mid to long range, varies
Description: Requires a charge time for one post in which Desertman spends some time condensing a large amount of sand into a dense slab of crude sandstone. The exceptionally heavy stone is then shot into the air by a geyser of sand beneath it. If aimed correctly, it can be sent plowing into airborne enemies like this. Alternatively, once shot into the air it can be guided from above by Desertman's sand manipulation, allowing him to control where it falls. If this is done it will fall on the next post after it is shot into the air, taking some enemies by surprise potentially as a delayed attack.
