Words: 446 Gray Fullbuster And the science gets done And you make a neat gun Things had gotten so hectic back in Karakura. The little meeting she had planned with Erin and that Shiro guy went anything but smoothly with that annoying Quincy that she had fought alongside the very being she was watching now. As soon as things calmed down as much as they could Ariella had bailed, leaving Shiro to do whatever whether that be to be a consoling guy for Erin or to just find his own way back to the Soul Society. Either way everything would be fine and that was that so she didn't have to worry. She had no nervousness as she left to Kagamino to come seek out part two of her mission to the human world. She hadn't even changed outfits. Not that she would have anyway. She still really liked her suit. She was spying too so it fit.
It was dark out still so the suit served her well as she watched. She was stalking a sleeping Gray from atop the street lights outside of his home, watching him closely. She was half tempted to go saying something and wake him up. It was awfully late though. People didn't seem to like being bothered at night so maybe it wouldn't have been the best course of action. Not to mention people got grouchy when woken up. That made it most definitely a bad idea. That didn't seem to matter much to her. She decided to get closer, leaping from the light and right into the frame of Gray's window. This was a better look at least.
Still though it was rather boring. She sat there in the window sill, propped up only by her toes with her legs spread wide apart to actually give them space. Needless to say it would be quite the view to anyone looking from the other side of the glass. She seemed ignorant of this though and grew bored with the lack of clothes flying off in the human's sleep so she tapped on the window, tapped being more like banging on it open handed just to make him wake up and do something. If this didn't work she'd have to break in and that was more trouble than it worth. She was a spy right now though. She could have easily done it. In fact she decided she would go ahead and start on that little back up plan. From her belt she grabbed a small metal wedge-like object, shoving it in beside the window and jiggling it around, likely causing even more noise. No one said she was any James Bond or anything. The suit could only do so much for her.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true]There's no need to change the past. Because of the past, we are who we are now. Every second, every action from then is linked to us here and now◣ | ◣ For once, Gray was having a dreamless sleep. He was going to feel great in the morning! Wait, no he wasn't. There was a banging sound on the window that was right above the Fullbringer's bed. Soon enough, Gray groggily opened his eyes and sat up. "What the fu--" He had looked to the window and stopped mid-sentence. There stood a familiar woman, who was now trying to open the window. Besides that, what was she wearing? She looked like a hooker or something. Just what was she trying to get in the Fullbringer's room to do? Gray wasn't going to stick around to find out. He still remembered what the Shinigami had tried to do to him before.
Nearly falling over the side of the bed in the process, Gray struck his right hand out towards the window. A whitish aura indicated the activation of Cold Excalibur, before a thick sheet of ice formed over the window. With any luck, that would hold Ariella off for a bit. Not seeming to care that he was wearing nothing other than his boxers, Gray ran out of the room, nearly tripping in his haste to distance himself from her.
Seconds later, the Fullbringer was in front of another window. He could only manage to get the glass pane open, but the screen wouldn't budge. Gray looked back in the direction of the other room, listening for the sound of breaking ice. He was sure that she could break it with relative ease. He didn't have time for this. Thinking to knock the screen out, Gray punched it. His plan backfired when his fist went straight through it. That wasn't supposed to happen! Knowing that he had only seconds left if he was lucky, Gray hurled himself at the screen headfirst.
The Fullbringer fell a few feet, meeting grass. With a quick look around, Gray got to his feet and started running towards a cluster of trees he could see not too far off. Surely, he could lose Ariella in a forest. Too bad for him, it wasn't just a forest. Gray's first step into what he had originally thought to be tall grass landed him ankle deep in muddy water. He stopped for a second. What if it gets deeper? But he couldn't turn around now. Maybe Ariella wouldn't even follow him into something like this. Besides, having water all around him gave Gray an edge. Looking over his shoulder frequently, Gray continued through the marsh. He didn't even know where he was going to end up, but as long as he got away from that Shinigami, he didn't care.◣ | ◣TAGGED: Ariella ◣WORDS: 437 ◣NOTES: xxx

Words: 632 Gray Fullbuster And the science gets done And you make a neat gun Ariella heard movement inside and removed her eyes from the task of breaking in through Gray's window. It seemed she had already woken him up. Well that saved her some trouble. She ignored his horrified face, pointing to the window as a signal that he should come open it. The challenged human seemed to misunderstand though annd he froze the glass over, freezing the window stuck. Ariella pursed her lips, giving up trying to get the thing open. Before the frost blocked her view she had seen Gray run out of the room anyway. What good would this window even do her? So instead of sticking around and waiting for a useless window to thaw out she leaped up to the roof of the building silently. She crouched atop it, sitting quietly and listening to what was going on beneath her.
Gray sure was a loud guy. She heard a window opened then something ripping. That didn't seem like it satisfied whatever Gray was wanting to do because she didn't see him come out anywhere. Then there was another loud noise and peeking over the edge she saw him flying out of a window head first before he took off running. Now this was her cue. She was right behind him, bounding off the roof with haste to follow the fullbringer, noting that he already had his shirt off. Great she'd have to make a stop somewhere and get him another one which would be a pain if he was going to play games all night.
She was all game for following him right to the woods he was heading toward. It'd be hard to use any sound there but she was pretty sure she could knock over some trees and make her life a little bit easier. She was having the tendency of getting stronger now. That was likely due to these damn scuffles she was getting into damn near everytime she met with Gray. The guy was like a magnet to bad situations. If it weren't for Science she would have hi the trail running. She tried over and over again but she had to know what caused him to just lose his clothes with no warning or reason though. She had never studied anything like him. It was fascinating.
The moment her foot hit water, the visored stiffened up, leaping back as a chill ran up and down her spine. This just became a lot harder for her. She looked down at the start of the standing water and grimaced. She then looked up to Gray, not seeming to amused by what was going on. "Come on back here already" she ordered in a warning tone. She was beginning to doubt he would just do as she said though. she kept her eyes right on him, taking a deep breath and she crouched down, doing some calculations in her head. After a moment she was done and with a calming breath she launched herself into the air. She went flying never taking her eyes off of her target, Gray. She was aiming to land right on top of his shoulders to avoid touching the water she do strongly disliked. If she was off by even a bit or if the boy caught on and moved she would be plunging right into the marshy waters though. She was taking such a huge risk for science that it simply had to play in her favor. Too bad she didn't believe in things like that. If she did happen to hit her mark her legs would instantly wrap around Gray's shoudlers as her arms clung to his head, not even caring if it was an awkward position to be in. She just didn't want near that damn water.

Every second, every action from then is linked to us here and now◣ | ◣Gray could hear someone running after him almost as soon as he got outside, but they stopped when they hit the marsh. He stopped as well to look back and see what had happened, only to see Ariella hesitating at the water's edge. She seemed to be afraid of water. How lucky was he? With a smirk, Gray ignored her demand for him to come back and gave her a little wave. "Bye," he called before turning and wading through the swamp again. It smelled and felt disgusting, but he didn't really care. It couldn't last too much longer, anyway. Plus, he had to lose Ariella somehow. If she caught him, there was no telling what would happen.
A couple steps later, Gray's foot suddenly went deeper than he would have liked. Now, he was waist-deep in swamp water, and things couldn't have gotten much worse. This would slow him down a lot; too much. Maybe he could just freeze the water and run on top of it? But there was a good chance he would only freeze himself in if he did that. Just as he was thinking this, a weight landed on Gray's shoulders without warning. Caught off-guard, he fell forward, plunging into the water face-first and likely taking the Shinigami with him.
Though he couldn't see anything in the murky depths, Gray already knew exactly what had landed on him. The Shinigami. She had jumped on him somehow. Hoping that Ariella would be more distracted by being immersed in water, Gray tried to twist away from her while they were still underwater. He had no idea whether Shinigami needed to breathe underwater or not, but he was banking on her jumping out of the water soon enough. If he resurfaced now, she would probably cling to him and he would be screwed. Gray could hold his breath for a while, anyway.◣ | ◣TAGGED: Ariella ◣WORDS: 312 ◣NOTES: xxx

Words: 599 Gray Fullbuster And the science gets done And you make a neat gun Ariella thought her plan was foolproof. She had felt herself land right on her mark, arm and legs latching onto Gray just like she had wanted them to. She however did include something into her calculations. The bottom of the marsh was slick with mud and Gray wasn't able to keep his footing, instead slipping with the force behind Ariella's landing. He fell under the surface of the water, bringing Ariella right down with him. At first she tightened her hold, thinking he would get.back up. That wasn't the case though. He stayed put right where he was, seemingly more than content to stand there and drown or something. Ariella dug her fingers into whatever flesh they could find as she began to shake with her panic, wishing this human would get the hint, but today wasn't going to show her any mercy it seemed.
Deciding to no longer put her hope in Gray, she released him at least with her arms. She flailed around for a moment, not sure what was up or down. She could barely think through her nervousness and the lack of air. She had never gone near water so never even built up any strength in holding her breath. Everything was just pointing town her drowning. Finally one hand broke through the water. She unlatched her legs and gave a push off of Gray toward her free hand. In less than a second she was completely out of the water, giving a strong enough launch to push herself right out. There was another problem she hadn't had the time to think about though. She had no where to go except right back to the water of the marsh.
Ariella landed harshly, already panicky again. Water soapsuds everywhere around her as she went right to the bottom, curled up in a ball. At least she was until she realized she was in the same mess as before. She shot up to a standing position, taking in a huge gasp of air when she got the chance to. She didn't waste tine worrying about breathing though. Her hands shot out to grab onto anything, finding only grass. She would settle for whatever she could get though. She pulled on it only to have most of it break away or slip from her grasp ob her first try. She reached out for another handful, more successful this time, able to pull herself up some. Her other hand joined the first, grasping another bundle of tall grass. That was the only thing keeping the visored from sinking now, her shaking legs not doing her a lot of good with the slippery ground under her feet.
It was obvious even above the surface that she was struggling terribly. She was sloshing water everywhere as she slipped around, the grass only able to help her so much. She looked absolutely pathetic. Her skin was pale with fright, and her hair was drenched, messy, and absolutely everywhere making her resemble a soaking wet cat with the way her mechanical ears were still sticking out. What was still able to be seen through her hair were blue eyes filled with worry and fear, occasionally looking in whatever direction she thought she left Gray. Honestly right now she wasn't sure of anything. She was unraveling. It was quite the contrast to her normal blunt and calm attitude but fear did something to people, her included. She could have normally thought a way out of this but now right now, not until she could get on land and dry off.

Every second, every action from then is linked to us here and now◣ | ◣ While he was still underwater, Gray could feel Ariella digging her nails into his shoulders. Get off me already! He wasn't coming up until she let go of him. He hoped that she got the gist soon, because he couldn't stay under for too much longer.
Finally, she let go of Gray. He was about to try and swim away until Ariella pushed off of him to jump. He lost the breath he had been holding and got a nice mouthful of swamp water. Faced with no other choice, Gray stood up, breaking the surface of the water, coughing and choking on the putrid water. Disgusting... Being covered in the stuff was one thing, but it tasted like shit. Well, it was a swamp, so that statement was literal. Now, he was almost tempted to eat his own ice to get the taste out of his mouth.
Hearing something splashing around, he looked over in Ariella's direction. What Gray saw was a stark contrast to her usual demeanour. She was floundering in the water and freaking out, by the looks of it. Now's my chance to... Even though it was the perfect opportunity for him to get away, he didn't make a move to do so. The Shinigami looked truly scared; she seemed like she might even fall again soon. Gray couldn't just leave her like that. He would feel like a total asshole if he did.
Knowing very well that he might be falling for some sort of trap, Gray made his way over to Ariella and extended his hand for her to take. "Here. I'll help you out if you don't try anything funny," he said, warily. Maybe, with this, she would stop pursuing him. Gray was trying to help her, so she wouldn't try to attack him with wires again, would she? She couldn't be that crazy.◣ | ◣TAGGED: Ariella ◣WORDS: 307 ◣NOTES: shake those feet

Words: 409 Gray Fullbuster And the science gets done And you make a neat gun Gray came to save Ariella and she was so happy. No one expects the Spanish Inquisition.
Ariella was getting dangerously close to slipping under the water again. She gave one last tug on the grass, causing of to finally break and like that she was ready to give up. She looked over, having heard something, and saw Gray's hand extended toward her. She saw his lips moving like he was saying something but for once she didn't hear it. The visored was way too gone for that right now. Instantly her hand shot out and grabbed his arm with way more force than was needed. She pulled herself over to him and with that let go of him and favor of throwing her arms around the man's neck.
As she flailed about trying to get to Gray her feet came up out of the water. Each time it happened there was a small shake of her feet as she instinctively tried to get that water off of her only to have her feet dip back in that annoying, gross water. Finally her legs moved to wrap around his torso. She held on to him tightly now, not realizing her feet were still shaking about and now her hands were as well behind his head. She just wanted to get dried off. She trusted him not to drown this time, or at least she hoped he wouldn't. What she didn't want was to get drenched all over again.
Once she was good and secure latched onto Gray she tried to climb up him again but being so wet was against her, She just slid around not going much of anywhere or accomplishing anything but maybe annoying the ice boy. Ariella didn't really care about that though. "Get out of the water" she ordered yet she still didn't sound as plain or demanding as she usually did. If she wasn't so proud she would have admitted that maybe there was a hint of begging in her voice. There wasn't though. No way there could have been. She got a slight blush on her face. She had calmed down a bit, a very small bit, and as such was starting to realize how she was acting. She just pointed back the way they came as a sign of where to go as she buried her face into Gray's shoulder, not wanting to be seen right now. She would be calmer when they got back on dry land and she was able to shake this water off.

Every second, every action from then is linked to us here and now◣ | ◣Not expecting Ariella to act so suddenly or violently, Gray nearly lost his balance again when she threw her arms around his neck. He managed to stand his ground and keep himself from slipping this time, lucky for her. Even after that, she kept slipping, moving around, and generally just making every thing harder. Did she really need to jump on me like that? Gray wondered, annoyed. He figured grabbing the Shinigami's hand and pulling her out of the water would have worked a little better. Then he could just drag her out, or something like that. Maybe it wasn't the nicest way to do it, but it was the quickest.
When Ariella practically begged him to get out of the water, Gray almost laughed. It wasn't as if he knew her that well, but this was a side of the Shinigami that he had never seen before. It was almost hard to believe how scary she usually was. Almost.
"Okay, okay. Take it easy," he said lightly, making his way to the nearest dry land with one arm around Ariella's back to make sure she didn't fall back in. Though, with the way she was clinging to him, the chances of that happening were low enough. After wading back in the direction he had come for a bit, Gray finally made it to dry land. Making sure he was well away from the swamp for Ariella's sake, he let his hand drop to his side. "You can let go of me now," Gray said, sounding a little impatient. He was starting to wonder if the Shinigami planned to cling to him all night. He had to wonder why she had come after him in the first place, though. Maybe he didn't even need to be running away. But after that time in Rome - he still had no idea how he had gotten there or lost his clothes - he was understandably leery of the Shinigami.◣ | ◣TAGGED: Ariella ◣WORDS: 325 ◣NOTES: XXX

Words: 409 Gray Fullbuster And the science gets done And you make a neat gun Ariella couldn't care less about monitoring Gray's facial features to check his emotions/ she didn't take the time to read his body language. She didn't care if he was annoyed or feeling proud and heroic. All of that meant basically nothing to her right now. All she knew at that moment was that Gray was actually obeying her and she was thankful to every god ever that he was. For about five seconds anyway. Then she began to calm down. She was still clinging to the man like a mad woman but at least she wasn't flailing around. However when he got to a shallow enough reason for her feet to be full out of the water she went about shaking them again, not concerned that the small movements might make it a bit harder to keep steady. She flicked the water off of them without a care.
She didn't know when they finally reached safe ground. It took Gray asking her if she was going to let go for some sense to finally come back to her. She turned slightly, looking over her shoulder. It seemed safe. They were above what loomed like solid ground. Even Gray was standing there on it. Still she was cautious. She unwrapped one leg, slowly lowering and pointing her foot. It kept going until it tapped the ground to test it out. As soon as it did she drew it all the way back up. She went about the same action again, though a bit faster. She went through this three more times until she kept her foot down, slowly putting the other one down and letting go of her arms' hold on the man, hands staying on his shoulders until she was steady on her feet. Right away she let go though, bring her arms to her sides. She looked away from him, pursing her lips as a bit of a blush spread over her cheeks. She was embarrassed to say the least. There wasn't too much else to her expression but she doubted it was a mystery. Who wouldn't be embarrassed after something like that?
"Well then..." she said quietly before clearing her throat. She ran her hands back through her wet hair, trying not to look like a drowned cat, before she removed her gloves and wrung them out, and then slipped them back on and moving to wringing out her ponytail, basically anything to take up her time or distract Gray from how strange and uncomfortable she sounded. There was a good chance that was backfiring though. "Shall we get going?" Ariella questioned with a serious look and no explanation. He didn't need to know she had every intent of taking him to her lab in the Soul Society. He'd just run like always. So when she remembered this suit had some tranquilizing shots hidden in its belt she had an awesome back up plan if Gray wasn't into going with blondes to random places like a square.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true]There's no need to change the past. Because of the past, we are who we are now. Every second, every action from then is linked to us here and now◣ | ◣ Gray just stood there as Ariella tested the ground for way longer than was necessary. It would have been funny, if it weren't so annoying. Oh, come on... He was standing here just fine, wasn't he? Why did the Shinigami even need to test the ground? The swamp was a good ten feet away, now.
When Ariella finally got off of him, Gray took a step back to give her some space. For some reason, he felt like she was going to shake herself off like a cat or something. Maybe it was the ears. Or the fear of water. As the Shinigami tried to get dry, Gray began to stare off into space. He didn't care to try and get dry. He was barely wearing anything, so it didn't really matter. Even without that... advantage, Gray wouldn't care too much. It was only water. Water with a lot of stuff in it, but still water. Though, subconsciously, it must have bothered him somewhat, because soon enough, his boxers were on the ground at his feet.
When Ariella spoke, Gray snapped out of his daze, though he still seemed unaware of his nudity. "Huh? Go where?" he asked. He didn't remember her telling him they were going somewhere before. In fact, he had been running away from the Shinigami before. He didn't know why; he just thought it would be a good idea because of what Ariella had tried to do to him in the past. The whole experiment deal really wasn't Gray's thing. Now he was suspicious about where the Shinigami wanted to take him. Gray started to edge away farther from Ariella in case she tried to jump him again. At least now he knew her weakness. He could always just take off back into the swamp and she would never get him.◣ | ◣TAGGED: Ariella ◣WORDS: 303 ◣NOTES: XXX

Words: 409 Gray Fullbuster And the science gets done And you make a neat gun
When Ariella laid her eyes on Gray again he was completely naked. She narrowed her eyes and scowled a bit. She had missed an opportune chance to witness these boy's strange habit again. He wasn't aware of it so she knew this was the case. She looked down to the soaking wet boxers at his feet and sighed. Oh well. She'd have plenty of time to watch and other devices to monitor him soon. She just needed to get back to the lab. Speaking of the lab... She glanced back up Gray's legs an onward for anything strange, her eyes settling in a certain indecent place. "A test tube.." She she mumbled, realizing that's what she was reminded of. It would be a good comparison for later. She knew exactly which tube it was too so that was good.
Gray spoke again and Ariella finally looked up to his face with a vacant look. Clearly she wasn't wowed by anything. Or was she? Really there was no way of knowing with her. She just gave Gray a look like he was stupid or something. "We're going to see my Papa" she stated plainly. It was meant to be sarcasm. Sarcasm was funny and lightened moods. Or it pissed people off but Gray wouldn't attack. He was too good of a guy. Not to mention they had quite a history by now. He might be hesitant about throwing all those memories away. Ir maybe not. He'd be safer that way.
She snuck her hand down to her belt, grabbing hold of a syringe she remembered she had. So her spy suit wasn't completely useless after all. She kept that hand there, hoping she wouldn't have to act on using it. "But really I need to take you back with me" Ariella explained, well, somewhat explained. She didn't want to go into reasons. He would never just agree to go back to her barracks and be a lab rat for who knew how long. Usually he wasn't against any plan she had unless it saved his ass. Showed how much gratitude he had. "So come on lets go. Put your underpants back on too. Its still indecent where I come from"

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true]There's no need to change the past. Because of the past, we are who we are now. Every second, every action from then is linked to us here and now◣ | ◣ Gray noticed that Ariella was giving him a bad look. Eh? Had he said something wrong? Before he had the notion to ask, she looked down and mumbled something about a test tube. Gray only wondered why she would be talking about test tubes right now. Were his suspicions correct? Was she going to try to do weird things to him like the last time? For now, Gray would just wait and see what she said before he took off. Really, he couldn't think of any other reason the Shinigami would want him to come with her.
After he asked where they were supposed to be going, Ariella gave him that annoying blank expression and said they were going 'to see her papa'. Was that supposed to be sarcasm? With the stoic way in which the Shinigami talked, Gray couldn't really tell. Either way, it was obvious that she wasn't serious about that last statement.
Of course, Ariella never really answered his question. He wasn't going to have any of that. "Yeah, I asked where we're going," he replied, getting irritated. The Shinigami's evasiveness could only mean one thing. Gray was probably going to need to make a mad dash back into that swamp. He wasn't really looking forward to it, to say the least. Still, he was pretty sure that Ariella would think twice before trying to jump on him again.
Gray was just about to start walking backwards when she told him to put his underpants back on. No way. Had he really done it again? As if disbelieving, he looked down. Yeah, he had. Gray didn't seem to fazed by it this time. It wasn't like he had anything to be ashamed of, rather than the fact that he had such a disturbing habit. That could definitely be seen as a bad thing. Sheepishly, he put his boxers back on. "Sorry," he said casually; it was almost as if he didn't realize that he had just exposed himself to a woman he barely knew. "I've gotta go, though. Unfortunately, I don't have any interest in going anywhere with you right now," he said coolly, before turning and walking towards the swamp. Sure, there was a chance that Ariella wouldn't pursue him and he wouldn't even need to go there, but it was better to be safe than sorry.◣ | ◣TAGGED: Ariella ◣WORDS: 388 ◣NOTES: XXX

Words: 477 Gray Fullbuster And the science gets done And you make a neat gun It would seem Gray understood how serious she was about the Papa thing. He wasn't completely empty headed then. That was good. She'd hate to be left with a mindless, drooling mess by the time she was done. If he had a good amount of baincells already the chance of him making it trhough okay for a while was great. He refused her though. Aparently he had somewhere he needed to be. Needless to say Ariella was doubtful about this fact. For on he didn't seem too worried about this thing while she watched him sleep the night away. If something was coming up he should have been getting ready. Not to mention he was walking toward the woods again, back into..... that place, the swamp. She made a face, knowing she didn't have much time. She really didn't want to have to step foot back in there.
"You're lying" she pointed out, turning around to face Gray who was mere inches from the edge of the water now. She was hoping she could make him pause for a moment that was all she needed. "You don't 'have' to go anywhere. There's no reason to be so obvious about your lies. Nothing in that forest is waiting for you" she stayed calm and even, not wanting to hint at anything. She was a little bit nervous though. It was so close to the water. She'd have to be quick and smooth about this.
With a deep breath she set her plan into motion. She used an unfair amount of speed for the short distance between them. She did need to be fast. Once she reached Gray she reached one hand to hold the back of his neck and keep him still and not moving any further toward the water if she were successful. Even if she wasn't, that didn't stop her from drawing the syringe she had found. She brought it up quickly, making a move to step the needle right into the side of the fullbringer's neck. That would be the best place to hit. If Gray was moving then it might end up in his face or something. She was pretty sure the drug she had in the syringe would still work, so she pressed on the other end that would release the liquid, hopefully into Gray and not squirt him or something. If she had her grip on his neck she'd give him a pull back before she leapt back a short way, hoping to send him onto his back until he fell asleep. If she didn't well jumping back was still a good idea because she was smart. Smart people knew that drugging other people often made them mad, especially if it was by force. It wasn't her fault he was difficult. It was his fault he had to be put to sleep.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true]There's no need to change the past. Because of the past, we are who we are now. Every second, every action from then is linked to us here and now◣ | ◣Gray flinched a little and paused when Ariella pointed out his falsehood. Well, he hadn't really been lying. He had told her that he didn't want to go. If Gray didn't want to do something, he wasn't going to do it. That wasn't going to change. Safety, Gray thought cynically in response to the Shinigami's statement that nothing was waiting for him in the trees. She was going to try and force him to come with her; he just knew it. And the fact that she was being so vague - or rather, telling Gray nothing about where she wanted to take him - was even worse. It was something bad. But he had this in the bag. He had been able to outrun Ariella before. This time shouldn't be any different.
Gray didn't give the Shinigami a response; he didn't need to justify himself. He had just helped her out, and now she demanding him to go places with her without even knowing what would happen. And now she was getting bitchy when he didn't want to? "Tch." Gray had been about to ignore Ariella and keep walking, when he heard footsteps. Shit! She was coming for him. Gray hadn't been expecting the Shinigami to be able to move so fast, so he didn't move in time to escape her grab. She was stronger than he was expecting, too. Before he could pull away, he felt something jab into the side of his neck. Almost immediately afterwards, Gray found himself feeling really weak and tired.
As he fell backwards, he saw the syringe in Ariella's hand. She had drugged him. "Y..." All of a sudden, Gray could barely keep his eyes open. "You... bitch." Was all he could think of to say. Why did these things always happen to him? Before Gray could ponder this, darkness overtook his vision and his eyes drifted closed. Within seconds, he was out cold.◣ | ◣TAGGED: Ariella ◣WORDS: 319 ◣NOTES: go ahead and end the thread.

Words: 477 Gray Fullbuster And the science gets done And you make a neat gun That was easy enough after all. Gray was surprised or underestimated her or something. One or the other she had gotten that needle jabbed in nice and smooth. She even got it in his neck and not in his eye or something. He couldn't be too mad now. Ariella was pretty happy with her work. Usually she needed to slow things down to get perfect aim. Like when she was doing experiments. It was no wonder she was patient.... unless she was getting wet. Speaking of which she could still feel water dripping from her hair and squishing in her boots. It sent chills up her spine now that she could focus on it. She really needed to get back to the Soul Society.
Right on time with that thought Gray started trying to mumble something. She glance down at him, seeing how he was starting to lose himself in the effect of the drug. That was excellent. Before he went black though he got his sentence... or insulting fragment out. So he wasn't too happy about being drugged, and Ariella wasn't happy about the name he called her. She pursed her lips and stoic glared at him in the Ariella way of glaring, which was very close to looking. To her though it felt like a completely different expression.
Over her little moment, Ariella leaned over, taking hold of Gray's arm. She started to lift him up to throw him over her shoulder. Then she realized exactly what part of his body would be touching her if she carried him that way. That just wasn't going to happen. So instead she just gave a tug to pull him along with her. Sure he'd get dirty and maybe a scrape here and there. It wasn't like he could feel it though. She could have him clean and healed by the time he woke up. Again how could he even be mad at her? In no time at all they would be great science buddies.. or something.
