“Uhm… Uhh, can I get.” Light paused as he pressed his hands on the counter and leaned forward, peering at the board with all of the items listed on it. Raito closed his eyes and leaned back, “I suppose just a mocha frappe.” Rai said with a nod and a smile. He stayed at the counter for a while and chit chatted with the barista there, with a different one in the back working on his drink. After not too long, Rai paid and smiled before heading out onto the streets, walking along and looking around. He felt a few presences out, but was a little wary of going to check them out. He still felt relatively weak, so fighting things that could be stronger than him was definitely something he would avoid to keep himself alive. Still, maybe just watching would give him insight. He was sure someone else had to come help out, right?
“Well, up we go.” He told himself as he checked his surroundings. It was empty, no one there to see him, so his feet pressed against the concrete and he could feel his fullbring expanding the concrete, making it more elastic before it pushed against him, shooting him high into the air. He was on a rooftop after a moment, not to far away, watching a giant hollow. He sipped his coffee, watching in worry, suppressing his reiatsu as much as he could. It wasn’t long before a man was flying by on a small platform of reishi with a bow in hand, firing at the hollow until it went down. Then he went away and there Light was, sipping his coffee. “I wish I could do that.” He said to himself, still drinking before he looked to the side, feeling a new presence. “Hmm, what’re you?” He asked as he stood, thinking he sensed something. He couldn’t tell. After a second, he drifted down to the street, letting his weak reiatsu pulse. “Maybe you’re more my speed.”

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,10,true] [atrb=style,width:400px,bTable] | every thing's gonna crash and break Again. I fucking hate these Hollow fucks. Jace was running towards a source of demented Reiatsu, clearly not too happy about that fact. Every single time he tried to sleep or have any semblance of fun, he was sent off after one of those things. It pretty much always resulted in him almost dying, too. Jace was so done with this Consecro bullshit. And yet, he couldn't bring himself to abandon any of the missions he was given; not after what had happened with the female Togabito. Someone had almost died because of the Proxy's neglect. He would not let it happen again.
Seconds stretched into minutes, and Jace finally found himself within sight of the Hollow. But someone else was there, too. They rode by on a glowing thing that looked like a skateboard and killed the Hollow with an arrow. The Proxy knew that this was a Quincy, but that wasn't what concerned him at the moment. "For fuck's sake!" he snarled, throwing his hands up in the air. He didn't even care if someone saw or heard the outburst. All Jace knew was that he had come all this way for nothing. Some other asshole had to swoop in on a faggoty skateboard and 'save the day'.
Growling to himself, the Proxy turned to walk away. He wasn't doing this shit tonight. He was going to go home and sleep, no fucks given. Jace was just thinking this, when he heard someone talking behind him. "Eh?" He turned to see who it was, not recognizing the other boy in the slightest. "What do you mean?"

The boy was there, and it seemed clear he too had seen what played out. Rai knew that this person in front of him was special somehow and so he smiled gently. “You’re going to fight me!” Rai commanded as internally he spoke to himself. ’Alright Raito, time for a little intimidation.’ Slowly, yet somewhat gracefully, Light began to reach down with a sort of flourish. He gripped at his shadow and began to pull, a sword forming as his shadow began to fade slightly. He smiled a little bigger and nodded his head, “Come on now, make a move for me would you kindly?” He asked, quoting a few words from a memorable video game he had once played.
“Then we can both get a tad bit stronger.”
After he said this wings began to sprout from his back, blacker than black almost, with a sort of look that light bent around it, making the area about him seem deathly and dark. “Let’s see what you have!” He said as he slid back into a very loose stance with his sword.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,10,true] [atrb=style,width:400px,bTable] | every thing's gonna crash and break "I am?" Jace asked in a skeptical tone. Suddenly, this kid he didn't know from a hole in the ground was wanting to fight him. He didn't get it. The other guy was smiling and everything, so he obviously didn't have an issue with Jace, unless he was a psychopath. So why did he want to fight? His answer came when his supposed opponent formed a sword and said it was so they could get stronger. So it was another of those people.
Jace could help but feel a bit defensive. Was this guy calling him weak? Saying that he needed the training? Maybe it was true that he did, but he wasn't going to admit it. In any case, it didn't look like the kid was going to take no for an answer. He was growing black wings now. Oh man... a black sword and black wings? Too edgy, Jace thought, allowing himself just one more casual thought before he became more serious. This was going to happen whether he liked it or not. If he refused, he would look weak.
Oddly, enough he didn't take out his Sigil or go into any kind of stance. He only acted on instinct when it came to fighting. For this reason, he wasn't all too keen on making the first move. Wasn't that just asking to be countered? "Sorry, but I'd prefer not to take the first move," he said coolly, basically refusing to.

“Sigh.” Raito said, sighing along with the word, “Well I suppose that’s fair that I make the first move, hopefully you don’t regret it.” Raito said as he slowly shifted and moved his right hand forward, pointing. Suddenly, a piercing black beam fired out for the boy’s right arm, looking to pierce his shoulder and take out what Rai assumed to be his dominant hand. After that, with another assumption the boy would dodge, Raito whipped his arm to the right, and the beam whipped out and would fly to the left, looking to snare the boy, or at least whip him pretty hard across the flesh if it hit, which with it’s wide swath would at least be likely in the case of an initial dodge.
If Rai managed to snare the boy, the whip wrapping around him he would yank hard, not only pulling the whip, but pulling on the shadow’s soul to quicken it’s speed toward him, in which case he would pull down, and let the boy skid painfully across the floor.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,10,true] [atrb=style,width:400px,bTable] | every thing's gonna crash and break Huh? Did he just...? Whatever. Jace raised an eyebrow when the kid said 'sigh' along with an actual sigh. He didn't really get the point of it, but that wasn't something the Proxy cared about enough to comment on. "I won't," Jace replied with a slight smirk. He was fairly confident in his abilities at this point. It helped that this guy actually had lower Reiatsu than the Proxy did. Fighting someone who wasn't a hundred times stronger than himself? That had to be a first for him.
When the kid pointed at him with his free hand, Jace automatically assumed it was an attack. He had learned before that it usually seemed to be the case. The Proxy threw himself to the side, reacting quickly as the black beam shot by him harmlessly. He had no idea why the guy had formed a sword if he wasn't going to use it, but he didn't care. However, he didn't expect the beam to come back around. He gasped as it wrapped around him, binding his arms to his sides. Not knowing what to expect, he shoved his hands into his pockets, making physical contact with the brass knuckles that were his Sigil. Next thing Jace knew, he was flying towards the other guy, and then to the ground. Instinctively, he arched his head back so that he didn't bash it off the concrete. He landed hard on his left shoulder, unable to keep in the hiss of pain as he was dragged along the ground for a few more feet. Never mind the scrapes, this fucker had just ruined his uniform. Again. Why did he even bother wearing it?
Jace didn't get up immediately; it was kind of hard to when he was bound. But that didn't mean he couldn't do anything. The Proxy only smirked, resting his head on the ground as four long, sharp blades rose from a strange silver liquid that had splattered the ground around him before, floating in midair. They started to glow with a dark blue aura before shooting out towards the kid suddenly and unexpectedly. Jace had only gotten a glimpse of the other guy's position beforehand, so the blades weren't aimed at anything in particular. If anything, they had a better chance of hitting the kid's arms and legs.

As the kid was on the ground, Rai was getting ready to attack, about to pull on the whip again, though maintaining it was so tiring still, and there was suddenly energy around him. The whip dispersed and Light’s eyes opened wide as he looked. Suddenly there were swords flying out for him. “What the fuck!” He exclaimed as he jumped and began to turn. They weren’t aimed very well, but one skid across his back, cutting swiftly across his flesh from his right hip up past his left shoulder blade, one was close in front, but he used his sword to protect himself as it flew off. His teeth grit together and he turned towards the boy. Then he complimented him. “Good one.”
Raito closed his eyes before gently exhaling. He’d wait for the boy to stand before he would force the ground to push him, launching him at the boy with a dark ring beneath his feet, making him move fast enough he would nearly disappear. He would be right up to Jace, holding his sword in both hands, swinging downward, with a bit of distance between them, so if the boy didn’t dodge the sword would cut from Jace’s left shoulder down to his right hip, but mostly, just across the surface, nothing more than a skin deep wound. If Jace stepped back Raito would follow, varying his swings to keep the pressure on the him.

Still lying on the ground, Jace heard the kid shout and knew that his attack had scared the shit out of him. He couldn't blame the guy, though. Blades flying out of nowhere were usually pretty surprising. Having felt the whip binding him go slack, Jace got to his feet, smirking. He only nodded in response to the other guy's compliment. He didn't know what to say. He wasn't much into talking in the middle of a fight. Just as Jace had gotten to his feet, the kid disappeared. The fuck? Great, this guy could teleport, too. Not waiting for his opponent to reappear, Jace hastily ripped his hands out of his pockets, the brass knuckles sliding down his fingers just as the other male appeared right in front of him. "Shit!" Dodging wasn't an option, and he didn't have enough time to use his steel. He decided to try something different. He was pretty good when it came to close combat; this would work. Eyes flashing dangerously, Jace balled his right hand into a fist and lashed out at the black sword, aiming so that the brass would absorb the blow and deflect the blade. At the same time, he allowed more of the liquid cover his left hand. Whether the blade was deflected, knocked out of the kid's hands, or simply blocked, Jace would swipe his covered left hand toward the opponent, releasing a large, curved wave of Reiyoku-imbued steel at him from close range. Even after that, Jace made no move to retreat backwards, despite his right hand hurting considerably. If the kid somehow dodged his Rending Tide and came in close again, he planned to lay into him with punches. He could deal with long-range attacks as well. He had this in the bag. He didn't even care if he was getting cocky. Finally, Jace was able to actually go toe to toe with another supernatural being. Maybe all of the Consecro stuff wasn't a waste of time.

Raito was swinging hard, but he began to see something suddenly. The boy was swinging back. Raito’s eyes widened, and right before the blade collided with the fist, the shadow blade suddenly dissipated into nothing, and Jace swung at air. Surely enough, because of the brass knuckles, Jace wouldn’t really feel if he connected, only the resistance. Raito shifted his arms up, like he had been staggered. Then the second attack was coming, and so Raito did the only smart thing to do.
He stepped in.
Raito pushed in hard, and his history as a wrestler and a judo practitioner kicked in. Rai got too close for the range of the weapon to catch him, instead the worst he would be was battered by Jace’s bicep. Rai’s right leg would try to step in between the human’s legs, then it would whip out right and collapse the knee while Rai would jump and drive his shoulder into Jace to take him down to the ground.
If it was successful, Rai would plant his left hand out in what would be a feeble attempt to pin JAce’s right hand, but just as quick Rai’s right hand would press against Jace’s ribcage, and he would shout out, “Bang!!” Showing that he could use his piercing power to go right through Jace.
If he failed, Rai would pretty much be at Jace’s mercy, inside his range, still stepping through the wave.

(So, Jace has leveled up 3 times since this thread started... he's technically AD-0 but I'm assuming we're going to treat him as an NV still, 'cause that would be realllly unfair. I tried to remember his NV-0 stats: 7 HAN, 8 REI, 9 HAK, 7 SEI, 6 BUK, 9 HOH. Dunno if they're exactly right but I'm pretty sure they are.) Jace blinked in surprise when the other male stepped toward him as he was releasing the wave of steel. Did he want to die? Given the way his hand was traveling and the height difference between the two, there was a very real possibility of Jace's wave hitting his neck. Or at least, that was how it looked to him. Not wanting to go that far, he started to pull his strike, the steel wave beginning to lose its solidity and drip to the ground. Just as Jace's arm would be about to hit the side of the kid's shoulder, one of his legs were kicked out from under him. He would have been able to regain his balance, but the other male jumped at him and shoved him to the ground before he could do anything to stop himself from falling. He landed hard on his back and tried to roll away, but was stopped when his dominant hand was pinned. By the feel of it, he could have ripped his hand away from that grip. But he didn't have enough time. Jace got a bad feeling when he felt a hand press against his chest. He was about to get it; he couldn't move fast enough. He vainly tried to rip his hand free and twist away, but stopped when the kid shouted, flinching. After a moment or so, Jace noticed that nothing had actually happened. "Huh?" He glared up at the kid who he was pretty sure was just trying to screw with him now. He had the right mind to punch him like he had originally planned, but it seemed cheap now that he was virtually defenseless. Jace didn't need to take advantage of something like that to win, anyway. "Could you get off me?" It was more of a demand than a question. What if someone saw them like this?

Raito was flinching a bit when he had shouted, but after a few seconds he opened his eyes and saw that the kid was flinching as well, then they locked eyes and suddenly, Jace made a question that clearly was not a question. “Got an aversion to physical contact?” Raito asked while he unhooked his leg from Jace’s. “Come on, you use brass knuckles, you have to love getting close to people.” He said as he moved his left hand below Jace’s hand and pushed off the ground to Jace’s side, rolling until he was back on his feet.
“Now show me something this time.” Light said as he swung his right arm out. The blade he had dispersed wrapped it’s shadows around his arm, and with that swing, it was shooting out and gaining it’s shape again. “Why don’t you come at me this time?”
--ooc-- Sound awesome hahah. Those are good enough for me not to care lol.

Jace only gave the kid a dull stare as he got off of him. Was he really trying to give a lecture about fighting after pulling a dumb move like that? If Jace had reacted more instinctively, he could have killed the Fullbringer right then. Now he didn't like this guy too much. "Not that close," he replied drily, getting to his feet quickly. Now that the little shithead had taken it upon himself to lecture Jace, he was about ready to take this a little more seriously; or as seriously as a 'training' match could be taken. He wanted Jace to show him something, so that was what he'd do. "Fine." Jace sighed as silver liquid twined up from the ground and wrapped around his hands, forming a thin layer. It stayed in liquid state, though that was hardly an easy detail to catch by sight alone. Silver Art, four. He chose the weaker variation. This wasn't a real fight, so he didn't want to use too much energy. And then, without moving from his spot, Jace waved a hand up through the air and then back down. Two four-foot long slashes of steel formed one after another and both shot towards the Fullbringer, one staying vertical while the second tilted more to the side. Given the relatively short proximity, Jace was sure that these blades would clip the kid at the very least. Even if they didn't, they would create a screen of dust once they hit the ground and returned to liquid state. That wasn't all. Jace planned to make full-use of Silver Art even if he was only using the weaker version. He dashed into the dust cloud, getting a general sense of where the Fullbringer's Reiatsu was located. He punched out for what he thought was the kid's head with his right hand, although he wasn't using all of his strength. Even now, he didn't want to mess him up too bad. Even as Jace was swinging, two more silver blades manifested themselves near his arms, the one on his right being flung at the Fullbringer's body while the other stayed at Jace's side in case he needed it to counter.

Rai Hiso - 18 Fatigue - 20%
Raito was on his feet preparing for an attack, noting the way the human was talking to him. It seemed he was growing weary, which was good. It meant things were going to get serious now. As the attacks came flying at Raito he prepared. He stepped hard, towards the angled attack and out of the way of the vertical one. His right side was facing Jace, and he was swinging up and out, hard. He stepped into the attack, and his blade swung out and met the attack head on. The dust that was kicked up was fine, as his strength was still just more than enough to push away the attack. After that he stood there, and could feel the reiatsu of the human charging. If it was going to be like that fine. He waited, until near the last possible moment so that he could avoid the attacks and counter harshly.
When the swing was coming in, Raito yanked on the ground, and then forced it to push, so it propelled against the pressure of his foot, sending him shooting to the side. He circled around Jace, however one of the blades caught him off guard as it traveled out, grazing Rai’s left arm and drawing a bit of blood. But from here he was ready. He wasn’t going to hesitate. He jumped forward, bringing his knee up to drive into Jace’s right shoulder blade, the one he assumed was the dominant arm of the man. At the same time he was swinging his blade low, so that it would clash into the man’s side. The blade was on Jace’s left, so Raito would find no defenses against his swing, knowing one was only possible with Jace’s swift reaction. Hopefully he couldn’t after firing off that straight to where his head was. If Raito did connect, he would pull his blade back, inflicting pain, but not going deep, perhaps only scratching Jace’s ribcage.
