Takeshima Kunou - 20__________________________________________________________
Takeshima pulled out his disposable lighter and flicked it. As he pressed the button to release the fuel and create the fire, he could feel some hollow force not to far off. Yet, unphased, he continued to light his cigarette before he turned and faced that direction. He could feel differing reiatsus heading to whatever it was.”I suppose I should head towards that, gotta show up whoever else is getting there.” He joked to himself as he reached into his back pocket, and pulled out his white glove and slid it onto his right hand. “Let’s begin then.” He said before he disappeared from his spot, heading out the pressure.
As he went ahead spotting the gillian menace, he thought he saw someone moving in, but already had a bow drawn. “Not today,” He whispered, thinking he could feel a shinigami not to far away, possibly the sight he thought he saw. He released his bow and let his arrow fly and pierce right through the gillian so that it fell straight to the ground. After that, Shima was standing on a building, smirking, before he spoke out. “Where’re you at Shinigami? Little behind?”

Words: WHDC Notes: Silly little quincy Tags: Shima He's not an upright Dog But an on all fours dog ! The so far was going pretty well. No sign of hollow activity, but the recent increase in gillian sightings caused Jin the central forty-six to send Jin to the human world, rather than some unseated shinigami. They needed the world protected properly, and while this was good training for anyone who encountered regular hollows, this was no job for someone unseasoned. He sighed inwardly before he closed his eyes, sensing around for anything out of the ordinary. There were some humans with spiritual power, nothing out of the ordinary yet. No, no, no..wait...yes! Jin could feel the tear in the fabric of space itself. He rushed toward the energy as quickly as he could he knew what this meant. This was the emergence of a Gillian class hollow.
Jin rushed toward it using his top speed. He needed to encounter the large beast before it destroyed anything, or ate anyone in sight. Jin watched as the massive colossus took it's first step into the human realm, the world around it shaking. Jin grasped his sword, his eyes staring at the large beast just before an arrow whizzed past him, some twenty feet above him. Jin stopped dead in his tracks, watching as the arrow pierced the Gillian, killing it in one fell swoop. Jin must have overlooked the Quincy when he felt the menos. At that point, nothing else mattered. Still, he should at least confront this man. Floating up to him, Jin looked at the dark haired man. He didn't seem impressed in the slightest, in fact the look he held was of utter disgust.
Now, that isn't how Jin really felt. He was actually really impressed, but he needed to get across the point that it wasn't a quincy's job to destroy hollow. "How many times do we have to tell you quincy to leave hollow termination to us, the shinigami?! When you ki...I just...how dense?!" Jin tried his best to make it seem as realistic as possible. He wanted this other man to get the idea across that hollow needed to be cleansed, and not killed. He rose his still drawn sword, and pointed it toward the human male. "I'll let you off with a warning. Don't kill any more hollow. That's why they sent me." Jin turned, flapping his haori behind him as he started to walk off.

Takeshima Kunou - 20__________________________________________________________
Takeshima stood boredly as the man floated up with his look of disgust. Shima was examining his bow, while his senses scanned out to sense exactly how strong the man was. It seemed their levels were very close, however skill-wise, Shima had no idea what to look for. The words of Jin fell on deaf ears, and as he floated away Shima looked and called out. “If I see a hollow, I will kill it. I can’t wait for you slackers to run behind and allow innocent souls to be swallowed by them. I also can’t allow the more pathetic of you to feed them and make them harder kills for me. I don’t think there’s anything you can do to stop me either, Shinigami.” Takeshima’s tone was challenging, as his bow slightly unlatched from it’s normal position inside his sanrei glove and become a more outside extension of Takeshima, who began to spin it. “Unless you’d like to show me you’re capable of handling things, my existing is just as necessary as yours.” He called, waiting for the shinigami, looking for a reason to begin an assault and assess his skills.

Words: WHDC Notes: Silly little quincy Tags: Shima He's not an upright Dog But an on all fours dog ! For a moment Jin thought that the conversation was over; that the quincy had heeded his warning, and would stop his hunt of those souls that needed healing. The souls that needed to ascend into Soul Society. At least, that's what he thought. The quincy, however, obviously had other plans. He started to spout some nonsense. He was going to keep killing hollow, and he didn't seem to care one way or another about the consequences. Jin didn't react though. His gut was starting to heat up, but he didn't move. He simply listened. He wanted a reason to react, he wanted more of a reason than him cleaning out hollow. Was he going to threaten him? Was he going to make it so Jin had to stop him? Or maybe He would just push Jin one inch to far.
That line was hard to see. but it was there. Jin's head turned slightly, taking the quincy into view. He wanted to see just what Jin could do? He wanted to see that Jin could handle this? He scoffed, turning his body to fully face the quincy before a scowl slithered across his brow. With his nose scrunched up, and the crimson twins staring at the other man Jin erupted. Normally he wasn't like this; Normally he was easy going and would let this entire thing go, but he was still on edge from the war. He was still angry about the death count, his own failure, and this quincy simply caught the captain on the wrong day "You want to see that I can handle it Quincy?! Well, you asked for it!"
Jin shunpoed, the sound it made seemed most like a vacuum of air tunneling through a tight hole, and then cracking out of the side. Jin used his top speed, he wanted to show this quincy just what he had brought onto himself, he wanted this little bastard to feel the agony of defeat. Appearing just in front of the bastard. Jin brought his sword skyward toward the mans chest and then after the arc finished with the initial swing, he would follow up with a downward strike, his left hand coming around to grasp the bottom of the hilt. He wanted his full strength in the second swing.

”Well you asked for it!”
“That I did.” Takeshima whispered as his bow reconnected to his hand and he prepared himself. As he watched the shunpo his eyes focused, barely making out Jin. Inside Takeshima cursed, ”Shit, he’s… He’s faster than me? No one’s faster than me!” Takeshima was a little worried, although something he had gotten used to was people being stronger than him. As the upward swing was coming through, Takeshima pushed his arms forward. The bow was out and his free hand was out on the edge of the bow. He jumped up and began to flatten his body horizontally, and the swing lifted his body and sent him upwards even more and caused him to flip. As Jin was following through with his swing, Shima was pulling back an arrow and began firing down a hail of fifty per second to pierce and do some serious damage to Jin. At least he was hoping it as his feet stuck to reishi, and his hirenkyaku began to keep pulling him back, although not at his maximum speed.

Words: WHDC Notes: Silly little quincy Tags: Shima He's not an upright Dog But an on all fours dog ! What had followed his swing were a series of impressive, but slow movements that sent the man into the air. Jin was frustrated, grunting to himself before reeling one hand back. Logically, someone would counter attack at this moment. This man was a quincy and they had, but one job as quincy. Use a bow. Jin had a plan, but he needed to react quickly. Shoving his hand into the air as the man released his arrows, Jin created a round shield that covered the important portions of his body. His voice booming after the creation of the shield may have thrown the Quincy off, but this was a form of incantation. Kōjutsu Eishō. "Bakudo #9: Seki"
A low sigh escaped his lips, the arrows pouring around him, the shiled taking serious damage. The man before him obviously had some strength of his own, but he wasn't stronger than Jin. He was still a quincy. He wouldn't allow someone on such a level to not only destroy those souls before him, but to make a mockery of what he did. He wouldn't stand for it. He would, without a doubt, tare this man down. However, he needed to take care of himself first. The arrows shattered his shield, and some started tp actually hit his person. Shoulder, leg and with a quick shunpo, Jin looked over his body. He had taken some damage, but his own defenses stopped a majority of it from hurting him.
His eyes lifted toward the quincy, a shunpo to close the distance between the two of them here, and another there. The quincy was moving, but he was so slow. Jin wasn't sure if he was moving at his full speed, or if for whatever reason he had decided to not. He didn't care, Jin knew that this quincy needed to be taken down, and to do so he would make sure that this quincy knew who he was. "Death be with you. Zetsumei"
His blade began glowing a soft lit red, and as the light took over the entire blade, and then evidently faded into the darkness, one could see the swords true form. All black with white flames floating inside. The cross guard resembling a three dog heads encircling one another. He stopped for a moment before cutting his arm, creating a red hound beside him.
"Can you keep up Quincy? My name is Jin Hoshigawa, and I'm the captain of the tenth division." Jin recited the words almost like it was a script. Letting someone know who he was almost felt rudimentary, but it also felt right. He should let his opponent know who he was, and what he could do. Placing his hand over the hound, Jin pulsated his reiatsu before the hound shifted and turned into a second sword. As he grasped the bladed weapon, Jin shunpoed. A resonating crack before he appeared in front of the quincy, bringing his blood blade down toward him, with the second, which sat in his right hand, across his chest, from a southern point skyward toward his right shoulder. He was curious to see just what this quincy could do.

Takeshima Kunou - 20__________________________________________________________
“Delayed incantation…” Takeshima whispered to himself. This man was no novice, he knew what he was doing. Takeshima was moving back slowly after the attack finished, though he was planting arrows into his flesh after breaking the shield, the man appeared nearly unscathed. Then when the man shunpo’d to close some of the distance, Takeshima stopped, watching the Shikai take form. “Zetsumei?” Takeshima said, taking in the name of the zanpakuto. Things were about to get serious. Takeshima leaned forward and began to brace himself a little bit. The second sword formed and Takeshima grit his teeth, this was going to be a tough fight, Takeshima knew it, especially when the man began to speak. With a gentle sigh Takeshima lowed his weapon slightly, letting it change shape from a long bow to a short bow made for closer ranged combat.
“Jin Hoshigawa, Captain of the Tenth squad, and wielder of Zetsumei.” Takeshima said almost taking note, “I am Takeshima Kunou, Quincy Protector of Karakura Town. I’ll match you move for move.” Shima said as the man moved his hand on the ground. Suddenly with a deafening crack Takeshima grit his teeth as he prepared himself, yanking back two arrows between his index and middle, and ring and pinky fingers, holding them tight and steady as the man appeared. Takeshima’s eyes quickly scanned the man as the blade were coming in. The man’s body was fast, and his blades were quick, moving just as Takeshima slid back ever so slightly and turned his bow to match the angles, releasing his arrows. Just as the were almost completely released the would collide with the swords. Because they weren’t fully off they were slightly under maximum speed, hitting without enough strength to blow away the swords, but enough to stop them in their tracks and allow Takeshima to shoot back on his hirenkyaku at full speed, which Jin would see was far quicker than before, yet a bit slower than himself. Takeshima was hoping he wouldn’t have to show his lack of speed in comparison to the man, but he had to get away now. Those blades were dangerous, especially to one lacking strength in melee based combat. His bow was good, but at point blank he would be forced to maneuver a great deal to work his bow.

Words: WHDC Notes: Silly little quincy Tags: Shima He's not an upright Dog But an on all fours dog ! It was strange hearing the quincy talk about things such as 'delayed incantation'. It was like he KNEW something about their culture, their techniques, their entire history. Jin scoffed at the idea, this quincy didn't no anything about the shinigami or what they had to go through to get where they were. They were a proud people, powerful, and they would not bow, or apologize for something that HAD to be done. Jin wasn't normally like this, but when someone had their head so far up their own ass that they couldn't see the sunrise or fall there was an issue. Then, out the blue, Jin could hear the man repeat his zanpakuto's name. He chuckled, looking down at the sword.
"Yes...Zetsumei. It means death. I asked him to be with you...when this is all over." It wasn't so much a threat as it was just an understanding that this was what Jin had to offer. He did it for everyone he fought, asking Zetsumei to join them in the after life. However that would have to wait. Jin noticed the man, and how he moved. he wasn't slow but he lacked true, defining speed. Jins blades weren't pushed back, but as they were stalled the man utilized what Jin could only assume was his max speed. Sure, it may not have been, but at that moment, when you knew you would get hit unless you got out of there, why risk not using your best? Jin wouldn't stake everything on that singular fact. The man, as anyone would guess, tried to back away and create distance between the two of them. Smart, seeing as he was a quincy.
However, if he thought that would be enough to escape the captain, he was sadly mistaken. Jin shunpoed to the mans side, he was idle, taking in what the man could be plotting. Range was his expertise and while Jin had options for range combat, it wasn't his forte. Perhaps tricking the man into blocking something that didn't exist. That would probably be best. He'd have to time it all appropriately. Taking in a deep sigh, Jin rose his left hand before gathering reiatsu to his pointer finger, and his middle finger. Shunpoing just before he uttered the techniques name, he wanted the man to dodge it. "Hado #4: Byakurai" It wasn't much longer that from his fingers a white flash of lightning escaped outward in a flash of light. However, hopefully what the man hadn't seen was Jin slashing his sword downward, creating red glyph under him.
This red glyph create tiny tendrils that pierced into the mans foot, drawing blood from and using it as a catalyst. Should his plan fall into position, the man would have dodged away from his Hado, and away from the Jin. Thuse creating the necessary distance, and distraction for his next technique. Ketsueki Odori. A technqiue, that when used, creates anywhere from one to six red beams that will seek out their targets. In this instance Jin drained himself of three ounces of blood, with the three beams exiting the glyph and heading right for the quincy. Now he hoped that this would meet it's mark, and do just enough damage to make the quincy fall to his knees. If only life were so easy.

Shima gasped as the man moved. “So fast..” He whispered as the man was at his side, he could see the light forming and he began to move, before he saw the shunpo, and in that moment began to pull back an arrow. He spotted the man, as the light fired, and Takeshima began to fire off shots into the byakurai, and it dissipated. Takeshima faintly saw movements, but didn’t think much of them, instead, he decided this was the moment he needed to fight back and fight back hard.
Takeshima shot off towards Jin, hoping to catch him off guard. As he moved in, flying on his hirenkyaku, although only at his highest naturally speed, his hand was vanishing as he was firing off eighty shots every second, in a circular spread to catch the man even if he moved. His arrows were augmented with his forward speed, making them even faster and harder to avoid as he chased at the man. “Come on Captain!” He shouted out, curious how the man would act to the barrage of arrows. The glyph was far behind him, and he was closing the distance between them quickly, the hail of arrows ready to drill into the man. He was strong, but everyone had a point where they would be taken down.
