She was racing over the sand dunes, dried hollow goop still covering her clothes and knotting up her hair in the grossest looking of ways. Rou was a mess and it was rather evident she just didn't care about that right now. For once she had on a serious face. There wasn't a trace of a smile on her usually bright and shining face. Her eyes were intense with focus as she sonidoed in the monochrome desert. She was on a mission to prove herself once and for all. She needed to show Raijin that she really was a hero and not just an every day side kick. She had only one way to prove this and it was by defeating a great beast that no other could ever conquer. She was the best warrior and hero there was. It was a task for her and her alone.
Of course she had no idea if Raijin was following her or not. She had noticed him a while back but was so intent on her quest that she just stopped paying attention. She was moving at her full speed without a care in the world outside of what she was doing. If she had lost him then she'd just have to take her kill's head as proof of what she had done. He wouldn't be denying her strenght any longer.
Rou came to a stop in the basin of a few large dunes. She wasn't sure how long she had been running nor how far she had gone. All she knew was that she hadn't found anything yet. She could feel something. There was something strong nearby she just didn't know where. She took in a deep breath before letting her reiatsu flare for a moment, knowing it would attract anything close by to her like battle call. Nothing in hueco mundo would be able to resist the high level of energy she just gave off. They were greedy and hungry and knew that if they could devour her they would be rewarded with power hundreds of times what they had now.
"Come and get it then!" Rou shouted out into open air when nothing came. She spotted a few hollows peek up over the dunes but they didn't dare get to close. They even backed away when Rou drew her butterfly blades from the cover of her long sleeves. Cowards. Where was the real thing? Rou scanned the area but nothing. She pursed her lips, lowering her hands to her sides. What was keeping the great beast form showing itself? Why couldn't it just show up so she could finally prove herself?
Rou hung her head, looking rather defeated. She sniffled a few times, her eyes burning. Her head drooped even further, bangs covering up her eyes from anyone that would be able to see the girl. It was then that her shoulders began to tremble and something wet dripped down from her face. The hollow guts were dry though so it couldn't be that. Rou knew exactly what was dripping down to the sand though. she could feet the tears flowing from her eyes and down her cheeks and nose. She was devastated. She was the hero and no matter what she did it didn't seem anyone was going to believe, not even Raijin.

Do you have a Light? Can you make me feel Alright? Plenty of Light to go Around
It only took moments after Rou took off for Raijin to realize exactly what he did. The Segunda pushed a little too far. What humans would consider his closest and best friend, was now mad at him. All because he took the joke a bit too far. That's why the Espada followed Rou's tracks in the sand, trying to keep up with the much speedier Arrancar. It was getting harder and harder for him, as the gap between the two increased in size as each minute was passed. It didn't take too much longer before he lost even her tracks in the shifting sand, having nothing to go on.
But still, Rai pressed forward to try and find his friend. He didn't exactly know what she was doing, but he had a feeling that she needed him there. Or at least nearby, just to make up for before. That's why as soon as he felt the familiar reiatsu spike, relief washed over him as his look of worry vanished. Pinpointing the spike, Raijin took off to the southwest. It would only take him a few more minutes to get there, and he had to get there fast. She has to be doing something dangerous and stupid, why else would she spike her power like that. Every moment that passed let other hollows get closer and closer to Rou, and he worried for her safety.
As soon as Raijin climbed over a large dune, he saw the top of the blonde head that he grew accustomed to. He sighed of relief, knowing that she was at least safe for a moment. That wouldn't last much longer, he knew. He could already feel a few larger presences approaching, not to mention that scattered small ones that posed no real threat. Hopefully nothing too big would come out now, nothing that could actually hurt them in this weakened state.
"Roooouuuuuuuu!!!" Rai shouted down, as he started sliding down the large sand dune. He was waving at her, trying to get her attention. It wasn't until about halfway down that he started to question why she was on hanging her head so low. As he came to the ground level of the basin, Rai approached her slowly. "Rou?" he asked softly, now noticing the slightly damp sand in front of her. His heart sank. He made her cry.

The Tears of the Sky Words: ### || Tags: blah name || Notes: words A Light Shining Brightly Rou heard that all to familiar voice calling out to her and only started to cry more. No. He couldn't come yet. She didn't want him to see her like this. She hadn't even been able to get a beast to come to to her no matter what she did and she was utterly pathetic in the meantime. She never remembered crying but here she was. This wasn't hero-like at all. Raijin would only lose what faith he had in her for just being a sidekick. What would that leave her as? She looked away from him when she heard him get closer, biting her lip, trying her hardest not to make any sound. Maybe he wouldn't notice she was crying. He sounded worried though when he said her name again. She wasn't doing very good it seemed. She looked up at him instantly, large tears rolling down her cheeks. She gave up on trying to hide it. He obviously knew. She didn't understand everything everyone talked about but that didn't mean she was an idiot or too dense to know that.
She didn't look fully pathetic though. she was halfway glaring at her fellow espada, lips turned down, obviously not happy but not sad. She was angry with him. She took a step away from him, looking back down to the ground, dropping her butterfly blades so her fists could ball up at her sides instead. She was quivering for a moment, completely silent, baring her teeth at the ground until she opened her mouth to speak. "Why can't you accept it?!" she shouted, surprising even herself. She never raised her voice to anyone unless she was just excited. She let out another sob though, feeling even more words bubbling up in her throat, ready to be released. "Why can't Raijin look at me like I'm on the same level as him?! Why am I so bad that I can't be a hero too? I came out here to prove myself but I can't even do that!" she dropped down to her knees, her hands resting between them as they bent backwards. Rou slumped forward, sitting there sniffling and looking all kinds of broken down. "No one ever seems to accept that I can be a hero. If they do I know they aren't serious either..." she mumbled under her breath. She really wasn't that stupid.
Right about then though she sensed something extremely strong get even closer at an alarming rate. Her head shot up, her eyes wide as she looked around. Just then a hollow shot down from the sky. It had three different heads, each with massive toothed masks, mouths wide open. They were all attached to a forty foot long dragon like body, several bony spikes and sets of legs with claws and a few pairs of hooked wings. It was the most terrifying hollow she had seen in a while. It was heading right for Raijin too. Rou let out a gasp, getting up to her feet. Her chance had come and she was even going to save him this time, right before his eyes. She darted in front of him immediately, completely forgetting about her discarded butterfly swords which she was best at using as opposed to her zanpakuto blade. It was too late once she realized though. She reached back to draw that sword from her back, making a quick slash toward the monster which only caught the blade and part of her arm in it's mouth before making a shot back up into the air, dragging Rou along with it.She had at least been able to get it away from Raijin. She made a small noise of pain from the teeth digging into her right arm. She could focus on it long though. The remaining two head were coming right at her.
Rou charged up a quick orb in her remaining hand, shooting off a dozen or so bala at one head. IT made a cry, backing off for a moment and the beast began to fall, partly losing its focus. It slammed back down into the sand, its closed mouth unclamping from around her arm and sword. Rou rolled across the ground a few times harshly and likely bruising herself up a bit but she got upright, sliding to a stop some thirty feet away. She stood up straight, regripping her sword which only served to hurt her. She took it with her other hand. It was a bit strange but she at least knew she could operate a weapon in her left hand from using her butterfly blades all the time. She was going to show Raijin. Do you have a Light? Can you make me feel Alright? Plenty of Light to go Around
Raijin couldn't help but come closer to Rou as she tried to avoid looking at him. His face showed his general concern and worry for his fellow Espada. She really was what humans would call a best friend. She's all he really had for anything besides just business. He couldn't help but feel guilty and feel ashamed of himself for doing this to such an important person to him. That's why as soon as he saw the large tears roll down her cheeks, he couldn't help but tremble slightly. He knew it, and he hated himself for making her come to this. The Segunda knew he had to make it up to her, he had to make sure everything was okay and alright and make this bad part go away. He never wanted to make her cry or anything. That's why he got even closer.
He stopped when he was just an arm's length from her, before he stopped and really looked at her. He noticed how...different and odd she looked. that, she was actually mad at him. It was really the first time he's ever seen her so upset and angry. It was not like Rou. She was always happy and nice and sweet. That's why her quivering and anger made him feel even worse. He didn't want this to happen, didn't even mean to or know why it did. He was just confused. That is, until she started yelling at him. He stood there for a moment, letting her get it out of her system before he tried to make a word. Only a small sound came out. Silence refilled the air.
He approached her, slowly. "Rou.." he managed to say, before leaning down looking like he was about to give her a hug. But, before he got much closer, Rou suddenly shot up. Raijin was startled, fumbling back a few feet. He was about to ask what's wrong, before he looked towards the massive hollow in the sky. It was coming straight for him. His body wasn't listening to him, as Rai felt helpless like a deer in headlights. His reaction time wasn't fast enough right now. He was shocked, stunned, and overall just ashamed of himself. Just as a maw was about to swallow him, the tail end of Rou's hair hit him in the face, with her small noise of pain echoing in his head.
After a few moments, Rai shook his head, coming back to his senses as he heard the beast cry. He ran towards Rou's side, watching as she tumbled. He shouted "I do believe in you!! I think you're a hero. You just saved my life. You just beat me in a spar. You're just as good, if not better than me!!" He stopped just besides her, looking directly at her. "You're my hero. The best hero" He said, enjoying this little moment with her. But, it didn't last long as the beast made sure they both knew it was there. Rai didn't have time to draw his sword, as he moved his arms to loosen the chains. they would have to work for now.

The Tears of the Sky Words: ### || Tags: blah name || Notes: words A Light Shining Brightly She was just about to make another run at the beast and finish it off before it went after either Raijin or herself again. She was stopped though when Raijin ran up to her side. She turned her head away from him, glaring at the ground as she waited for some kind of scolding about how princesses shouldn't be fighting or to let the real hero take care of it. She didn't want to admit it but Rou felt the burn of tears welling up in her eyes again. No! She couldn't cry no matter what! And she didn't have to. Raijin surprised her. Her head whipped around instantly at just his first words. She stared at him with large, shocked eyes that were stilling building up with tears for some reason. She was happy. Why did she want to cry now? "Rai..."
Then the hollow let outs its cry and cut their conversation short. Raijin looked like he was about to join her. She wasn't having any of that. She still had something to prove. Rou reached forward with her bloody hand, taking hold of Raijin's arm with what strength was left in it, giving him a push back. She glanced up to him, silently telling him to stay back. But then she smiled a smile that could reassure anyone, even the enemy. She was back to her old self. All she needed to do was defeat the beast that had become her sign of heroism. With that done she released hes arm, looking back to the hollow before taking off in a sonido toward it.
When she appeared again the dragon-like hollow was in its feet again, heads whipping around and trying to find her. She made a shot toward one of it's necks, sword drawn and ready to pierce when a large foot came down on her, slamming the tercera into the ground, making a large cloud of dust rise up with no way of seeing through it to see what state the girl was in. It was going to take a lot more than that to put her down though. Seconds later she shot back out from the cloud, again giving her sword a target and this time it met dead on. It pierced right into the bottom jaw of the middle head, making the beast cry out. Rou whipped her body around and her blade followed, making a straight cut right out of the hollows mouth, cutting right through its mask. That head fell lifelessly, dragging the other two down with it for a moment.
Both of them now had their sights set on Rou who was putting out reiatsu from her feet to stay standing in midair, not taking an attacking stance nor striking any pose. She just glance back and forth between the two open jaws coming at her and smiled. At the last second Rou used her title of the fastest espada to her advantage. She was gone in a fraction of a second and those heads collided together, the beasts own teeth ripping holes in its own flesh. It was enraged as it released itself, both heads flying around mindlessly as it screamed, those screams loud enough to hurt Rou's ears. She winced from that pain at the wrong moment and missed a clawed foot coming at her. She managed to move but one of those large claws caught in her knotted hair. Rou let out a painted gasp as it got stuck there, pulling her by the hair roughly down to the ground with more force than before, pinning her there by her locks that were finally getting some revenge for not being fully taken care of. Four glowing red eyes peered out from behind the dragon's mask at her, their intentions more than clear. She had just gotten trapped for an assured demise. HAN: 14 REI:15 HAK:18 SEI: 14 BUK:19 HOH:19

Do you have a Light? Can you make me feel Alright? Plenty of Light to go Around The Segunda couldn't help but smile at his loveable companion. Rai liked knowing that he had, at least a little bit, redeemed himself from earlier. He couldn't help but try to come closer when Rou whipped around to face him, knowing that this was a moment he wouldn't forget for awhile. "Rou.." He said back, opening up his arms and moving closer towards the Tercera. He was entirely lost in this little moment of theirs, forgetting about the dragon-like hollow completely. All he could think about was making sure that he made up for earlier.
However, the loud cry cut his train of thought and movement completely. He stopped in his tracks, his face turning into one of anger. He finally did something right that made them both happy at the end, and this stupid fucking piece of shit hollow was ruining the moment both of them deserve. He grinded his teeth slightly, about ready to charge towards the beast and take it by force. That is, until he felt something wet and warm grabbing at his arm. It wasn't very strong, but he couldn't resist his fellow Espada. His anger was lost, turning into concern as he was pushed back. He looked down at her, about to say something before he saw that smile. It had been awhile since Rai had seen Rou smile like that. It warmed his heart, and he just had to smile back and let her do what she wanted to do. He couldn't help but worry about her though, and knew that he would step in if he had to.
As Rou moved towards the dragon-like hollow, Rai couldn't help but just fix his gaze on her. He had to watch her, to make sure that she seriously didn't get herself killed. He knew that she could do it, and he would never doubt her overall ability, but that didn't mean he couldn't help but worry about his favorite person. Without her around, his life would become rather dull. and he truly enjoyed all the company and time he gets with the blonde-haired girl. Even if it was pretty much all day every day, he could never really get enough. That's why he had to cheer her on. He watched like any engaged spectator would, hoping to feed into her heroic spirit as he gasped and applauded when it felt right. "Go Rou!!" He cheered on, hoping to that he could at least help in the way to give her more of a reason to fight. that he could help her by simply getting her pumped.
Rai couldn't help but smile and laugh slightly when Rou made the two heads crash in to each other. It was simply something that she would do, and it fit her well. However, the screams that came from the beast made that stop as Rai winced in pain, covering his ears to try and make the ringing stop. It wasn't until a few moments later that he stopped cringing, looking up towards the beast and seeing Rou caught in his claws. His eyes followed her to the ground, and then looked towards the two massive heads that had their sights set on her. He didn't care what she said anymore, even if he got hell for it later, he had to help her. That's why within a moment Rai's blade was unsheathed. "Cargo excesivo, Espirtu cinetico" He said, before a large amount of spiritual pressure was released. And a moment later, a light blue ball of energy dashed towards the beast. Rai quickly trusted at the beast's leg, releasing a cero at the point of impact to completely demolish anything with straining Rou. He turned his back towards the beasts, looking down as his injured companion. "Every hero needs a sidekick to help, you know" He said with a smile, hoping that calling himself her sidekick would lessen any type of complaining he would get later.

The Tears of the Sky Words: ### || Tags: blah name || Notes: words A Light Shining Brightly Rou had tried to pull free of the claw that held her down by her hair. It seemed utterly useless. It wouldn't budge. She had to find a way out of this though. All she could think of was to look to her sword. The hollow's foot was out of her reach but there was something that wasn't. While her free hand reached up to her hair, pulling it roughly to straighten it out, her other hand brought her sword up. With no hesitation she sliced right through the strands that had her bound. The moment her blade hit it she tired sitting up. finally it cut all of the caught hair and she was left quickly sitting up then falling right forward, planting her face right into the sand. She just froze up. She had messed up and now that hollow was going to devour her. While her heart pounded in her ears her hands shakily fisted up, filling up with sand. She didn't even notice the new output of pressure.
At least she didn't notice until a moment went by with out anything happening. She slowly opened her eyes which she had unknowingly closed in fear. Rou turned her head, seeing a shadow beside her. Confused by what it was she turned her head more, seeing that it was Rai standing above her now instead of the hollow who had taken a few steps back after the blast to its foot. At first Rou was ready to yell at Rai, getting a pout on her face. Then he went and said what he did and instantly her mouth shut. She looked at him with large eyes. She was surprised to say the least. He was really calling her the hero this time. Rou could barely believe it. she felt her eyes well up again but only pressed her face back into the sand. She wasn't going to act like a princess and ruin all of this!
After a moment she got up onto her knees. There was still a little big problem that needed to be taken care of and Rou felt obligated... no.. she was the only one that could do this. She looked up to Rai, a large smile on her face. Then like that she was gone, leaving a small cloud of rising up sand in her wake. The next time she became visible she was at the one of the remaining heads. She was beaming with confidence now. There was no way she was going to lose. The hollow stood no chance. She held her hand out, charging up a cero. It seemed the hollow had the same idea, opening up its large jaw as a red orb formed there. It shot before Rou had hers finished and at first it looked like the red beam had swallowed the heroine up. A second later there there was a flash of white energy tearing right through the red cero, overpowering it and splitting it right down the middle. Rou's own cero struck right to the base of the hollow's ripping right through its jaw and out the other side. That was one more down. Now was the time to finish it off. She whipped her hand around and the cero followed her, slicing right into the side of the remaining head, leaving a gaping hole there, obviously too much to survive and like that the third went down as well.
While the hollow fell to the ground, clearly dead, Rou was left standing in midair. It was clear she was a bit tired but that didn't stop her from looking down to Rai, proud as she ever was despite how heartbroken she had been just a few moments before. "Did you see that?!" she shouted down, cupping her hands around her mouth to amplify herself. She pushed off of the air, launching herself down at Rai, stopping herself just in front of him. She held her hands behind her back, looking up at him and clearly expecting some form of praise from her sidekick. She had just proven herself after all. HAN: 14 REI:15 HAK:18 SEI: 14 BUK:19 HOH:19

Do you have a Light? Can you make me feel Alright? Plenty of Light to go Around
Rai couldn't help but smile at Rou when he started to see her eyes water slightly. All he could think of was that he actually said and did something right. He continued to smile as he saw Rou get up, and then his smile widened even more when he saw the huge smile that was on her face. Rai couldn't help but feel happy that he had helped Rou get back to her old, cheerful self. Not to mention saving her, and being her hero for once. But he continued to follow her movements, having full faith in her. That's why all he did was watch the Tercera Espada take on the beast, knowing that she could do it. Especially with how she was acting, full of revived confidence. However, that's when he noticed just how badly she messed up her hair. He stared at it for a moment, before deciding that he would find a way to fix it after she destroyed the beast.
His rather unimportant thoughts were cut short as he noticed the crimson beam swallowing up the heroine. His face couldn't help but drop to one of worry and despair. Just..without Rou, he didn't exactly know what he would do if she was suddenly gone. He spent practically every day with that blonde haired energetic girl. He didn't even want to think about what his days would be without her around anymore. Thankfully, a bright white flash assured him that he didn't have to. He watched the heroine in action, letting his ressurection form dissipate, returning to his normal look. He thought about it for a moment, and figured it was rather pointless of him to release his zanpakutou, but that didn't really matter. His eyes followed the flashing white cero, watching as it went from one head to the other. He smiled, knowing that it was finally over and that the both of them could relax and finally have a moment together.
Rai smiled back at Rou when she looked down at him. And as soon as she landed, Rai wrapped his arms around her and hugged her tight. He made sure to give her a real hug, one that was better than their previous hug. He clung to her and held her tight, not wanting to let go. "I was worried about you" He finally said, letting go slightly just so he could look down at her. His face was that of relief. But he decided not to dwell on that, as he smiled. "I did see that, though. Amazing as always~ such a hero~~ " He said, his smile widened as he pulled her into another tight hug. "My hero." He added with an extra smile. He couldn't help but be happy. The Segunda made up for his previous actions, and they had both came out of this entire thing alive. That's when Rai's hand went over the cutoff of her hair. {color=2E9AFE] "Uh..your hair..." [/color] Rai mentioned, before kinda half laughing and smiling, moving his same hand to rub at his seaweed like hair. [/div][/div] [/div][/center]

The Tears of the Sky Words: ### || Tags: blah name || Notes: words A Light Shining Brightly Rou was caught a bit off guard when Rai instantly hugged her. Usually she was the one that was all clingy so to say the least all kinds of roles were being reversed. That didn't mean she couldn't return that hug though. Her own arms wrapped around her fellow espada and her leg kicked up in the back all cute-like and stuff. She smiled up at him, laughing to herself. "Oi, Seaweed Head doesn't have to worry about me" she reminded him, letting go and placing her hands on her hips, or lack there of. Rou didn't notice it but she was back to using his old nickname. Obviously she wasn't too mad at him anymore. She gave him a playful look to prove that, looking like he should have known better than to worry. He had just gotten done calling her a real hero after all. Some three headed monster was no big deal for a real hero. "But neh, Rairai, it was pretty amazing huh?" Rou giggled again, nothing but happy right now. Then right away she was pulled into another tight hug. She glanced up to Rai's face curiously. He was really into hugs today. It seemed he really had been pretty worried about her. She thought for a moment, looking everywhere but back at his face as she did so, at least until he mentioned her hair.
"Oh yeah... it feels kinda cool this way!" She explained, pushing Rai back some so that she could spin around. Before her hair had just been there. Now it felt like she had a bit of a cool haircut like some heroes had. She was glad she had to cut it. Not to mention it took about fifty pounds of hair and hollow guts off of her head. She kept on twirling until she caught sight of her discarded butterfly blades. The next moment she ran toward them. She leaned forward to grab them when she spotted her bloodied arm. It was a lot worse than she realized. Honestly it shouldn't have still been attached. She pulled it back, picking up her blades with her good hand since the sheath on the other was more or less out of use right now. She couldn't tuck either away. She'd just have to carry them back to Las Noches and see what could be done about her arm.
Rou got up slowly, halfway turning back to Rai but not fully looking at them. "But, you know, if you don't want me to do this kind of thing I won't anymore. I don't want you to worry" it really only dawned on her then how reckless she had been. She might have been throwing a bit of a fit when she stormed off. Maybe she was feeling a bit bad about that now. She tired to hide that though, turning all the way back around, hiding her incurred arm as best as she could behind her back. "Never, do I look cool though? Did I look really awesome fighting?" He she asked enthusiastically. She doubt Rai would even think of saying no to either and she was taking advantage of that without even knowing it.

Do you have a Light? Can you make me feel Alright? Plenty of Light to go Around Rai smiled back at the Arrancar, looking down. He rolled his eyes slightly "I always have to worry about my Princess" He responded, having to get even with the nickname. He stuck out his tongue, hoping to give back the playfulness in his words. "Yes, it was amazing." He agreed, hugging her tight and smiling. Rai couldn't help but notice that she seemed to avoid his face for some reason. He wondered if he went a little too far, or was just too weird right now. He tried pushing the self-doubt out of his mind, but he couldn't help when his demeanor dropped slightly.
He shook his head again, fully dismissing the thoughts as he watched the girl spin. He honestly liked it this short too, it made her look that much cuter, along with a little less childish. He smiled at her. "does it now?" He mused, walking towards her. "when we get back to Las Noches, I'll trim it up some. Heroes always have to be clean cut!" he added in playfully, right behind her now as she went towards her butterfly blades. He noticed her get up, and again shying away from him. He didn't really understand why, but he again tried to push the thoughts away. He got closer and sighed softly. "It's fine, Rou. We're both okay, and that's all that matters." he responded smiling at her and lifting a hand to her head, messing with her hair. He couldn't help but smile when he heard her enthusiasm come back. "So cool and awesome. Probably the coolest" He responded, knowing he had to say yes to the espada.
That's when he saw her arm, and just how bad it really was. It seemed to be hardly attached, and completely bloody. He frowned. He wasn't really in the best shape either, but he was a lot better off right now. That's why he took off his coat and ripped it into strips. "let me see your arm. Make sure to hold still." He commanded softly, moving to the side of her injured arm and resting next to her. "I want to make sure it doesn't detach on the way back." He added in, looking at Rou. He tried to smile slightly, but he knew that if it became detached, the chances of it healing would be slim. If she let him, Rai would have wrapped her arm up tightly with the strips of cloth, then attached it to her frame with the same cloth. "Make sure you don't move it. And give me your butterfly blade, I'll carry them." he added, holding out his hand to hold them. His face made it clear that he wasn't going to take no for an answer. He was hell bent on making sure that she got back to Las Noches in the best possible condition she could, and if he had to carry her around like a princess, he would.

The Tears of the Sky Words: ### || Tags: blah name || Notes: words A Light Shining Brightly Rou was just eating up the compliments Rai was basically forced to give her. He seemed to mean them enough though so Rou being Rou took them as whole hearted. She grumbled a bit as he messed with her hair, flinching away from his touch and putting on a pout. She had just gotten it to look really cool and now he was having absolutely no regard and messing it up. Not that the relainder of hollow guts and knots hadn't already done that for him. At least she was looking at him though. Rai seemed to forgive her for being so reckless and she could go back to her quarters now and tend to her arm. Or maybe Rai would want to take care of her hair first. She was really worried about it, and she began to make up excuses in her head. She'd have to wash her hair first. That was good. Rai didn't know how long she took to bathe! At least she was pretty sure he had no way of knowing.
Just as soon as she had a good plan Rai asked to see her arm. She glanced down to her bloodstained sleeve, starting to put out her good arm. She was pretty sure that wouldn't go over to well though. Rou sighed heavily and held out her injured arm as best she could to Rai who was now right beside, seeing how damaged she had gotten. She hardly liked being tended to like this. It wasn't anything even that bad. It wasn't like the limb was gone or anything. Still she made a hiss when he messed around with her arm. Rou would never admit it but it hurt. She had to bite the inside of her cheek to keep from making anymore noises as he wrapped up and moved her arm around, halfway wishing he'd just let it fall off. At least then she wouldn't have to deal with how much it hurt her. Finally he seemed done, and Rou let out a shaky breath, barely hearing his instructions not to move her arm around too much. Honestly she didn't want to move it around anyway after that.
She wasn't going to listen to one order so willingly though. She made a face that screamed no at Rai when he asked for her blades. "I can carry my own weapons" she protested. She wasn't about to be totally helpless without them. They were her favorites and she wasn't about to let him taken them. She didn't care what kind of look Rai gave her. She wasn't going to allow him to baby her in this way. A warrior always had their weapons, and a hero was no exception to this rule. She turned her back on Rai, looking around for a moment before taking a few steps in the direction she was pretty sure Las Noches was in. She glanced back over her shoulder to Rai who she just assumed was going to follow her and hopefully not put up a fight about her swords. She wasn't so sure though. Even if she looked like she was upset, that barely ever stopped him from doing anything before.

Do you have a Light? Can you make me feel Alright? Plenty of Light to go Around As Rai was finishing up the bandages and wrappings, he couldn't help but hear Rou's shaky breath. He knew that it must have heart a lot, and it ate at him that he was hurting her. Even if he was just trying to help the Tercera and make sure that her arm wouldn't fall off in the journey back, he still couldn't help but feel bad about the entire thing. "Sorry" He said sincerely to Rou, before pulling her into another hug. He couldn't explain why, but that's all he really wanted to do with her right now. Rai just guessed it was because they're both alive, and that entire ordeal was rather stressful. He tried running his fingers through her hair, before giving up and just stroking it slightly.
He finally let go, and couldn't help but laugh when he saw her face. It was just the fact at how serious she was about it, but that meant Rai could only do one thing. "Fine fine." He said, smiling at the warrior Princess. If this trip had taught him anything, it was that to just give up sometimes and let Rou be Rou. "But tell me if you need some help, alright?" He asked, wanting to be sure that she got back to Las Noches in the best shape he could muster her to agree with. Hell, Rai was already thinking about simply picking up his fellow Espada and carrying her back to Las Noches. At least for a little bit of the way. He wasn't as bad as Rou, but this entire ordeal left the Segunda fairly drained of energy.
He smiled as she looked back, and simply followed in her steps. After a few moments of this, he tapped Rou on the shoulder. "it's that way" Rai said, correcting his companion as he pointed to his left. Due to his powers, Rai had always had a very good natural sense of direction due to the magnetic fields that the directions produced. Even here in Hueco Mundo some laws of physics still applied, and he knew exactly how to pick up on them. However, he waited slightly, letting Rou take the lead. He figured she would like that, since Heroes were always the ones that lead the way and went forward first.
Rai didn't really know exactly how far they had really gone from Las Noches. All he could remember is that they ran together for a very long time, then he chased after her for an even longer time. There was no way to know exactly how close they were, or weren't. At least until they could see the castle lining the skyline. He sighed softly, following right behind Rou and trying to keep an eye on her condition. If anything seemed up, or if she suddenly fainted or anything that could happen, Rai was always ready to dash in and catch his fellow Espada. he just hoped that it never came down to that.

The Tears of the Sky Words: ### || Tags: blah name || Notes: words A Light Shining Brightly Rai apologized to her and in return Rou gave him a weird look. She didn't get what he was so apologetic for now but she just shrugged it off and smiled. Like that she was trapped into another hug. He really was turning into the clinging type. She made a few noises of protest when he tried to run something through her hair which only left it getting pulled. It was shorter now but it was still tangled, slimy and hardening together. Rai got the clue and just ran his hand over hair which was a lot less painful. When she was released she had set out on their quest back to Las Noches, happy that he had allowed her to keep hold of her own weapons. That was one thing she didn't want to give. She slept with them hooked to her arms. Being without her blades was just.... abnormal to her in every way. "I'm not going to need any helpppppp. It's just a short way!" She whined, looking back over her shoulder as she slumped forward. His worrying was getting bothersome. She was Rou Alloway, Tercera Espada, and Hero of Hueco Mundo, the best there ever was. He didn't need to worry about her so much!
They walked in silence for a few minutes, Rou busying herself with looking around to see where they were. She probably should have paid more attention when she was running away, but she didn't exactly have the time for that. After another few minutes Rai stepped forward, telling her some vital information. Rou stopped dead in her tracks, looking in the direction that Rai had pointed in. She wasn't sure how he knew, but he was always really good with directions and such. Slowly she turned, facing that direction. "I know that. I was going to a short cut. It might be a bit too much for you though so we'll go this way" she remarked, feigning pure confidence. There could have been a short cut in that direction so it wasn't like she was lying.
Just as she went to take that first step, Rou swayed, feeling a bit off. She groaned and closed her eyes tightly, taking another step forward. She felt her knees go weak and her feet slide around in the sand. Her legs were shaking and she suddenly got terribly dizzy and cold. She opened her eyes again but her vision was blacking out with flashing spots, slowing multiplying until most of her vision was blacked out. She could only see the outline of pure white sand dunes, probably because they contrasted the black sky so much. "Rai..." she murmured, taking another step forward. This time though she did more than just slip around. Her vision was gone completely and she couldn't stand anymore. Rou let out a long breath as she started to fall forward, not even aware herself that it was happening. Halfway through her fall she was completely gone. Her eyes had slipped closed and her face held no sign of her being there at all. She had put energy into fighting hollows earlier, even more with her sonidos that lead her here. Then she had put more energy into defeating the terrible beast and even gotten injured greatly, and injury that was using up more energy to try and heal itself a quickly as possible. She had exhausted herself to the point that staying awake was simply not possible anymore. HAN: 14 REI:15 HAK:18 SEI: 14 BUK:19 HOH:19

Do you have a Light? Can you make me feel Alright? Plenty of Light to go Around Rai couldn't help but roll his eyes slightly, more in an amused way than annoyed. He couldn't help but smile slightly at the girl. Even though her storybook-style antics could get annoying sometimes, they always seemed to make the Segunda happy deep down. There was just something about Rou that made her simply one in a million, and he couldn't help but let some of this emotion and happyness out. That's why he could follow her forever, and forever he would. "You say that now, Princess" He mused, walking a bit faster to catch up to Rou.
"But if you really don't need help, then I won't give it to you~" He said jokingly, by now standing right next to rou as they continued walking. He looked over at her and smiled again, trying to help pass the time and keep the mood up. That was a sidekicks job, anyways! He laughed to himself about that, never going to admit to being her sidekick again. They were partners, even if Rou demanded to be the hero. He looked at her again, this time with a softer look. That is, until she started to sway and let out a groan.
He looked at her with worry, stopping in his tracks as he looked back towards his fellow espada. It wasn't until he heard his name that he dashed backwards, catching his fellow Espada in his arms as she fell forward. "Rou!!" He shouted, as he moved his head towards her mouth. He stopped, listening. He let out a sigh of relief as he heard the feint sound of her breathing. He put his palm against her cheek, feeling exactly how cold the girl was. "We've got to get back. Stay with me." He said, near a whisper to the girl in his arms.
He brought his other arm to move underneath her legs, lifting her and holding her in the bridal position. Then, he took off, as fast as he could while holding the Tercera close to his body. He gave her worried looks from time to time, trying to make sure that she wasn't getting worse. That's when he noticed his own energies were running low, as he began to pant and feel the strain of carrying another person. He then tapped into his reserves as much as he could, pushing through the strain on his body as he noticed the large palace that was Las Noches. It was so close.
Rai barged into the infirmary, still clinging onto Rou like his life depended on it. He set her down on a bed, before briefly giving the healing arrancars the details of her condition between his panted breaths. As soon as he finished, he simply couldn't take it anymore, the day catching up to him. Especially the final push that he just went through. "Make sure she's okay" He said softly, before collapsing onto the floor. He was then moved into a bed next to Rou's, his energy practically depleted.
