Rin had managed to find a moment to not only escape from her Captains duties but also her extensive amount of reading she imposed on herself on a daily basis. Not that she didn't enjoy it but she had decided that she had literally worked from the moment she woke that she now deserved a bite to eat and a hard drink. It was an odd time during the day and there wasn't many people in this local eatery. Sitting her self down in a booth she eye balled the menu before a waitress came to take her order. "I would like the super sampler sushi platter, an order of crab ragoon, a bowl of shrimp lo mein, and a vegie egg roll, with sour sauce to dip." The waitress looked at her wide eyed at the large order, and as she was walking off she yelled, "WAIT~! and a bottle of your strongest saki." The waitress jumped, visibly startled but added that to her order.
Now she sunk visibly in her chair, letting the tension of the day melt off of her as her Captain's robe spread out around her. The waitress brought back her saki first, with two cups encase she had company. Pouring a cup for herself she took a gulp, letting out a loud, "Ahhhh!" She startled a few of the other customers and a few people made glares at her neck, since she was visibly headless. She poured herself another cup quickly and this time sipped at it. It wasn't long until the large platter was placed on the table, almost as long as the table itself. Taking a pair of chop sticks in her hand, she grabbed one of the spicy shrimp and dipped it briefly in soy sauce. Before bring it to her lips and devouring it in one bite. It was so good, it felt like she hadn't eaten all day, and in that moment, she realized that she hadn't. This was going to be a great meal.

SWEET DREAMS ARE MADE OF THIS [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,475,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] who am i to disagree? It was a rare thing for a Shinigami as diligent and obsessive in their duty as Katsuro to have a day off, but his Captain had more or less forced the time off upon his adjutant. Still, it wasn't all bad. Even the workaholic Susumu Katsuro knew that it was only healthy to let the work take the back seat every so often and recharge the batteries, but only occasionally, and only when there wasn't other work there to be done.
Having spent the morning and a small part of the afternoon with his training and communing with the spirit of zanpakuto regardless of having time off from work, he had decided to spend the rest of the day far more leisurely. Taking a walk down the tavern closest to his divisional barracks, he decided to stop for a bite to eat and some of the sake that they kept there. After all, sake was one of the few things outwith of work that he truly enjoyed. The myriad flavours, the sweetness of some and the dryness of others...The way that even a liquor that was made similarly all across Seireitei and beyond could taste so different was a wonder to him, it had captivated him since it had first touched his lips as a young man. But not to the point of addiction, he simply relished the occasional opportunity to partake in its fragrant taste, but never to excess.
Having visited this tavern many times before, he had already tried the entire stock of sake that they had on offer, and had been pleasantly surprised to learn that whilst the most expensive sake they had on sale was indeed one of high quality, it was infact one of the more medium priced options that had the greatest depth of flavour. Knowing this as he walked through the door and heard the current head of the Kidōshū place her order, Katsuro felt an opportunity to help out one of his superior officers in something he was particularly well versed in. And it never hurt to endear yourself to your superiors after all.
Walking over to where the apparently headless commander sat, Katsuro didn't noticeably stare or wonder at her appearance. She was as she was, and the fact of the matter was that she was a Taichō, she could have six visible heads all breathing fire and it wouldn't matter a jot in the mind of the seventh division fukutaichō. Bowing low as he approached her, he spoke with a smile upon his face as he rose; "Minatsuki-taichō, if you don't mind me saying, you're probably better off ordering a lower priced sake from this tavern. Whilst the more expensive brew is indeed good, the middle ranged sake is actually surprisingly full of flavour." Bowing his head again, he hoped that she would not mind his intrusion, he was after all below her in rank and she would be well within her rights to have him reprimanded for his insolence. But hey, no risk no reward right?

Rin was starting to slightly engross herself in her food. For the few people who knew her, they knew she could be not only a glutton but a lush. Give her all the food she could eat and a never ending bottle of sake, and you would win your way right into this Captain's heart. Before the Seven Division fukutaicho could speak up or even come close the rest of her food had come out. The waitress knowing before hand who the Captain was, (because of her headless demeanor) had made sure to make all the portions she asked for large. More than enough to feed two people per an item she requested, but knowing full well the Captain could clean her plate and rarely if ever took back left overs. Out of the corner of her eye she spotted the fukutaicho of the Seven division and raised an eye brow he couldn't see. Also a wide grin on her face that also couldn't be seen appeared.
Katsuro was his name as she took but a second to think of it. The male bowed before her, and she waved her hand in such a way as if it wasn't necessary because of the setting they were in. Her name was spoken as she abruptly followed up with. "Katsuro-kun," not trying to degrade him, but showing him that due to the social situation the formalities were not necessary. He then proceeded to give her advice on the sake, telling her that there was a better brew for a much cheaper price, and he gave her a little bow again. Since she was headless she tended to carry around a small note-pad that she kept tucked away in her robes. Pulling it out she drew a circle and a smiley face, trying to show her emotion since she was without it, despite the fact she was smiling. "Ahhh! Katsuro, Lieutenant of the Seven Division! Thank for the suggestion, i will mostly definitely order a bottle after we polish this one off. Please! Sit down, and cut out the formalities! We are eating and among friends, so call me Rin if you please!" She was perhaps a little to loud for her own good, but with the enormous meal placed before her, and the bottle of sake she couldn't help but feel happy. She abruptly poured a cup for Katsuro, and pushed it to the other side of the table before adding on.
"I am buying if you want to get anything, so help yourself!" She took the piece of paper and erased the smile on the smiley face, making it even longer now with teeth showing. Trying to give him a little visual representation of what she looked like. As she continued to pile in sushi, noodles, and drink sake with her free hand. It was almost unsettling to watch this almost other worldly being put food up to her mouth as it seemed to disappear. Chewing noises could be heard, her voice could be heard, and it call came from the place where her head should of been but wasn't. All chalked up to a stupid accident in her academy years when she thought she could do kido far beyond her understanding at the time.

SWEET DREAMS ARE MADE OF THIS [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,475,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] who am i to disagree? There was a good natured smile gracing Katsuro's usually impassive face as he was met with the smiling emoticon drawn upon the small pad and the words accompanying it. His visible eye twinkling with amusement as he responded to her forceful decision making as he lowered himself down to sit opposite the Captain. Placing a hand upon the waitress' arm to stop her leaving immediately, he placed an additional order to his companions existing sizeable one. Tempura was after all a favourite of the lieutenants.
Taking the sake sent his way, he turned to his superior with a rueful grin upon his face. Sipping lightly, he relished in the delicate flavours staking their claim upon his taste buds. He took a moment to swallow and savour the flavours erupting across his mouth before responding verbally to the Captain sitting with him. "I'm afraid that I cannot call you by your given name Minatsuki-taichō, to do so would be the height of impropriety. I am your subordinate in all things, even in a place like this. Well, in all things with the exception of sake perhaps." The last little jibe was a good natured, and if he'd judged his newfound drinking companion correctly she'd take it well. He took another drink from his sakazuki and smiled broadly as the waitress brought over the remainder of the food. He lifted his chopsticks and laid into the piled food with abandon. Stopping only briefly to make a silly comment to the headless kido mistress. "We'd better get this food dealt with Minatsuki-taichō, I can hear the table beginning to creak under the weight of our appetites."

It was good to see the usually passive Katsuro with a smile on his face, she had never spoken to him before but she had remembered all the names of every Captain, Lieutenant, and even seated members of every division. It was something she prided herself on knowing that with but a face she could remember a name she took to heart once. Katsuro finally decided to take a seat and managed to snag the waitress as she walked by. Getting his order in a she walked away with it. Watching him with curious eyes in between bites she continued to stuff food into her mouth, a noodle hanging from her lips as it seemed to be floating in mid air upon her invisible face. Her ears perked up as he spoke to her, calling her Minatsuki-Taicho, and giving her a jab over his superior sake skills.
Taking her chop sticks, she clicked them together once, before she jabbed out with them. Poking him in the shoulder with the put together chop sticks before she came back to her sushi platter and continued to eat. Then he made another jab at their appetites, this time she had to put two fingers to her mouth to stop food from spilling out because she was letting out a girly laugh. "Ah! I will devour all this food, I am sure you've heard rumors of my unstoppable hunger." She said, as she clicked her chop sticks together and gave him another little jab against his shoulder. "Also Katsuro, can you at least just call me, Minatuski? I hear enough of that Taicho crap all day, so please please please..." She said as her voice had a small slur to it. It was only a matter of time and a few more drinks before she started hitting on Katsuro, since she was also known to be a lush with more than a few drinks in her.
"Hey hey hey, Katsuro. I've always wondered, are you seeing anyone?" She asked as she downed another cup of sake, using her free hand she went to a new page on the note pad. Drawing a new circular face, she drew little lines on her cheeks, and added some details to her expression to show her demeanor more relaxed. Now she pulled up the bowl of lo mein, and started to slurp up the noodles. Enjoying it all too much, almost forgetting the crab ragoon as she shoved a piece in with her free hand in between a bite of noodle. "Katsuro, if I ever die, bury me in food and make sure to pour a drink of sake at least once a day on my grave." She added as she laughed, perhaps even a bit to loud, as she grabbed her egg roll and dipped it in the sweet sour sauce before taking a bite.
"Wow, it's getting hot in here." She undid the sash of her Captain's robe as she let it drop to the booth around her, showing the black Shinigami robes underneath, she undid the sash a little bit at this part, opening up the top of her robe a bit to get some air on her, perhaps even showing a bit to much cleavage to the Seven Division Lieutenant placed across from her, her pale skin more visible since she was known not to get much day light, since her nose always seemed to be in between the pages of a book.

SWEET DREAMS ARE MADE OF THIS [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,475,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] who am i to disagree? The common misconception with the majority of folks Katsuro encountered was that he was a miserable sod who knew only how to work and push his subordinates to try and better themselves, that he didn't know how to let his hair down every so often. But that simply wasn't true, he just didn't leave himself much time to try and socialise really. He enjoyed his work, so he threw most of his being into doing the best possible job that he could. In saying that though, he sure as hell knew how to have some fun if the opportunity was there to be seized.
Letting out a laugh at the childish nature of his dinner partner, Katsuro shook his head as he imagined the probable pouting of those invisible lips that accompanied the excessive use of the word please in her speech, the strong alcohol already beginning to have an effect upon her. Cocking his head to the side, he winked his startlingly green eye at her as he replied, reaching for another drink and some more of the tempura as he did so. "I suppose if it's an order from a superior officer, I have no choice but to heed it...Mina-chan." Letting out another laugh, he gestured for another jug of sake as he set his now empty sakazuki down upon the table.
The rather amused shinigami stopped as he was reaching for more of the food on the table at the Captain's next question, eyeing the spot where her head would be with a raised eyebrow whilst he considered how to word his response. "Not at the moment Mina-chan, but then, with all the work we have to do as officers of the Gotei, it doesn't really leave much time for a relationship does it?" Letting out a sigh as the rather mood lowering thought stuck in his mind, he continued reaching for the food and shovelling it into his mouth as though he was never trained in table manners. As was usual, the peasant way of doing things was better. Table manners could take a run and jump when out having a good time. Letting out a laugh as the steadily more intoxicated Captain continued, Katsuro nodded faux-solemnly and put his right hand across his heart and spoke with the tone he saved for his new recruits. "Rin-dono, I will do everything in my limited power to ensure that such a thing comes to be. And by the by, if I'm to be informal with you, you should be so with me too. My friends call me Zuro."
Watching as his new friend started loosening off her clothing, Katsuro suddenly wished it was he who had the invisible head. He was fairly sure the sudden appearance of fairly bounteous breasts was making his face red, but that was fine. He would manage, it wasn't his first time in dealing with a woman showing off some skin. And he hoped it wouldn't be the last...
"You're certainly right there Mina-chan. Perhaps we could open a window before we just start taking off our clothes though? I don't think the other patrons here would like seeing me with my top off half as much as they would with you." Spoken with composure and only letting the smile creep across his face as he reached over for the window, his green eye sparkled with amusement as he forced himself to look anywhere but Minatsuki's chest. It simply wouldn't be proper to look at a ladies chest like some village idiot in public. But still, he thought to himself, at least she's good fun to be around and relax with.

From between her overly eager bites, almost as if she had never eaten before, she stopped dead in her tracks as Katsuro winked at her. Stopping her chop-sticks from entering the bowl as his playfulness seeped into his voice and he said he would finally call her, "Mina-chan," her shoulders moving in an up and down fashion to show she was clearly happy with the word choice. Their sake finally ran empty, as the waitress passed by. Taking the old sake bottle and returning with what Katsuro had suggested when he had first come to meet her acquaintance just a short time ago. Even though he couldn't tell it by herself, he could easy read her body expression to see she was having a good time.
Ever since she had lost her head, she had learned how to be more expressive with her body. Her shoulders easily slumped in an expression of relaxation, as she even let them roll back and forth in moments of giddiness. As she was doing now at the mention of him not seeing anyone, although he had to end it with a solemn, "Is there really anytime in the Gotei for that?" and instead of her usual giddiness, her neck leaned down a bit, and perhaps at this moment more than any other the Lieutenant across from her could picture an actual pout. Although looking up at him now, she lightened up again. As his table manners were almost thrown out the window, as he promised her he'd take her request in stride if it ever came to be. Then as he requested she called him, "Zuro" she couldn't help but let the words pass through her lips, "Zuro-kunn." She said with an amount of giddiness in her voice and let out a laugh.
Now he was commenting on her loosening and removing of clothes, and she pointed back to the note pad again, with a new added blush added to the face. Watching him reach over to the window, as she reached her own hand out and grabbed his wrist, preventing him from opening the window. "Come on, Zuro-kun. If you open a window, I'll get cold and have to cover up. I won't mind if you... look.." With her free hand, in the process of her conversation she had drawn a new face with a winking eye, all while talking to him. Her multitasking skills coming into use even with her not so sober mind right now. She drew the note pad back, as she came back to his point he had made a few moments ago about relationships in the Gotei. "Relationships in the Gotei. Ya know... I don't know of any currently but I'm so oblivious to them. If you were hitting on me right now, I'd pry think you were just being nice."
She spoke out, as she grabbed a hold of the new bottle, opening it eagerly, as she refilled both of their empty cups, and spilling a few drops on the table. Taking a few more bites of her food before she spoke again. "Although I would like to contradict what you said about relationships in the Gotei. I mean, look at the time we have now. There is other things we could be doing... other than eating..." She let out a small laugh at the suggestion, poking small holes in Zuro's argument, saying that the Gotei didn't have time for relationships when they were sitting down, enjoying a large meal in their free time, and at this moment it seemed they had all the time in the world to do things like this.
"Ya know, I think the Captains, Lieutenants, and seated officers would benefit if more of us were in relationships. It seems that we are so busy all the time that we don't have time for these things, but we doo. We just need to let some steam off sometime. I'm suree if I paidd attention more that, I... could see we just have a bunch of... sexually frustrated members walking around.... Maybe if we could..... take time to form relationships... we'd fight better too..." The alcohol was really starting to stunt her ability to speak. She had to take time between words, to think of what she was going to say next, it was almost an awkward silence but it didn't stop her from finishing to get her point across. "We can all... fight to protect Seireitei, because we.. have to..... and its our job... but if we give another reason to fight for it... such as love... then won't we fight all the more harder?"
What she was saying was oddly making sense in her increasingly inebriated state. Pouring herself another glass of sake, she downed it in a gulp, as she was coming to an end to her buffet of food. Putting one hand on where her forehead should be, she gave her head a small message with two fingers, as she could really feel the alcohol taking effect now, it had been many months since she'd drank in this capacity, Zuro was right, maybe they were to busy for relationships. Her voice grew a little solemn as she spoke up again, "Have you ever heard, how I became Captain? Zuro-kun?"

SWEET DREAMS ARE MADE OF THIS [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,475,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] who am i to disagree? Seasoned Shinigami though he may well be, and trained to react with poise and precision at any eventuality in a military situation, the sight of a woman of such...Impressive qualities and the addition of sake caused even the usually stoic Katsuro to come out of his shell a bit more than he normally did around those he spent his free time with. Casting a cursory glance over the exposed skin of his companion, he made the difficult decision not to stare at the cleavage on display.
Casting his glance back down to the table filled almost overwhelmingly with food, he grabbed a set of chopsticks and laid in with abandon as he heard Minatsuki's response. Carefully considering her response, alcohol stunting her previously flowing rhetoric far more than it had done before, he swallowed his mouthful of food and laid his chopsticks down before actually replying. "Mina-chan, I would never be so rude as to flirt with a lady without the intent to back it up. I may have a low opinion of my relatively high birth and the connotations most make with the nobility, but they sure as hell raised me better than to come to pity a woman for any reason. My mother made it clear that women are to be respected, feared perhaps, but never pitied. On top of that, you're a Leader within the greatest organisation ever to grace any of the realms. The Gotei 13. You are to be lauded by any who come across you and your charms, not pitied for what the small minded consider to be a flaw." He stopped speaking for a brief moment, dropping his voice down to almost a whisper as he spoke his next words slowly, almost as though it was taking the full force of this relaxed situation and plentiful alcohol to pry the words from his throat "Someone with the kind of company you offer even those beneath you, your entire manner...You are one of those oddities within this world of elitism and hate that make it worth saving. One of the truly beautiful ones." He smiled softly as he raised his eyeline to match where he more or less judged her own to be "Even without a head." He finished with a wink before downing his now full cup of sake.
A question of his own popped into his head as he lay the empty sakazuki down upon the table between them. Raising his left hand, he pulled his bandage back up his head where it rested on duty, allowing both his startlingly green eyes to gaze upon the current head of all Kidou within the Gotei 13, he waited for her to finish speaking completely before responding to both her question, and asking the one of his own. "You asked me if I were seeing anyone currently Mina-chan, but you failed to mention whether or not you were. So tell me, seen anyone around that tickled your particular fancy?" Asked with a cheeky grin and an overexaggerated rub of his freshly shaved chin, he waited a moment before continuing with a slightly more serious tone. "And no, I heard some rumblings within my division regarding your appoinment, But I quickly put a stop to them. There was no official missive handed down to me explaining why, and I refuse to have the rumour mill spin in the Nanabantai if I can at all help it Mina-chan. Regardless of how it happened, I have complete faith in someone appointed by those in charge of these things. They tend to know what they're doing after all!" The alcohol was starting to actually affect him now, he was losing all semblance of the usual brevity and seriousness that accompanied his words and actions. Not only that, but he was finding it more and more difficult to avoid looking down below the space where her head would be and at her ample bosom. He was managing so far, but if that would continue for long was anyones guess.

His words seemed to flow like honey, despite the fact he was also intoxicated he seemed to be able to handle his drink a lot better than she could. Rin wasn't exactly sure of how many drinks she had had yet, only that when ever her glass was full it soon became empty afterward. Rin listened to his words with intent, as she leaned forward onto the table, her Shinigami robes hanging even lower, to give him an even more impressive view of her snow white bosom. Rin was often inside, consumed with her studies, books, or just being inside because that's where she felt the most comfortable. Within the last two years she had been consumed with her studies so she could prove to everyone else, that despite the fact she was so young she could still take on the responsibilities of a Captain.
Now she had decided to toss off the shadow of her previous Captain and Lieutenant, to stop being as secretive and to get acquainted with all the Captains, Lieutenant and even seated members if she could. She was already familiar with all their faces and names, now she just needed to meet them was all. Rin continued to eat idly with one hand, placing pieces of food into her mouth as she listened to Zuro-kun speak, listening to his words and the respect he held for woman touched her deeply. It was nice to see that men all weren't consumed with the same things, that Zuro-kun seemed to be more chivalrous than most. Even with the increasing amounts of alcohol and foods that passed into his mouth. Although Rin almost felt like she could melt with the compliments stacked on top of compliments for her. Currently she was at a loss for words as to what to say to him, still startled by the compliments he spoke.
She couldn't remember anyone in decades speaking to her like that, although who could? Being headless and belonging to a group that was practically entirely secretive. Not even the Captains knew who her Captain and Lieutenant were exactly. They rare spoke, or were seen, and always worked behind the scenes, just as she had. Which really played a part to her almost overly pale skin. The bandage was moved from his eyes, and two forest green eyes stared almost into hers. Which sent an odd shiver of excitement through her, as if he actually knew where her eyes were. A question was raised from him, asking if there was anyone she was seeing or anyone who tickled her fancy, she pulled on her note pad, drawing a new face with an obvious blush as her neck slightly turned to avoid his embarrassing stare. "Actually Zuro-kun, I am not seeing anyone. It's only recently that I've become a social member of the Gotei 13. Although there is someone I've met recently, who is really making my skin crawl.. in a good way." Goose bumps gently pecked her skin, as she took the empty bottle of sake and managed to get a little bit that was left on the bottom, pouring it directly into her mouth as she put the empty bottle back down.
Her face turned up to Zuro-kun again, as he spoke about his division regarding her appointment two years ago. Talking about how he put a stop to him, and she erased her blush only to put a gentle smile on the notepad face. As he finally stopped speaking, she leaned further across the table, a majority of the food plates empty except for a few pieces here and there. She grabbed a hold of Zuro-kun's wrist, taking his arm across the table as she laid his hand on her face. "I want you to feel, what I look like. I still have a head-in-all, you just can't see it." It could be said she was slightly nuzzling his head, and moving her face to let his hand get better access to it, as she explained how she was appointed. "My Captain and Lieutenant died during the invasion of Aizen..... It's sad that really no one.... in the Gotei 13 really knew who they were, they were so secretive. At their funeral only people.... from the Kido Corps came really, although most of you showed your respects." She said, as her hand grabbed his other wrist, now putting both of his hands on either sides of her face. "My Bankai was learned during that battle, I learned it in the minutes after their deaths..... and saved many lives and killed many more..... I feel so young and inadequate to..... most of you, who have many hundreds of years...... and more experience than me..."
She wondered off, as she could feel Katsuro touch her face. "I really haven't gotten... to close to anyone... since then.. maybe I'm afraid... they'll die too.... even if as a Shinigami I know... it's a part of life." She looked up into Katsuro's green eyes, definitely staring into the depths of them. Letting her feel his face, and know these things more than she had told other people. Perhaps even feeling intimate with this person she had only met within the last hour or so, it was embarrassing really, but she just really needed this physical touch that she hadn't felt in decades.
