HISTORY:
Rin grew up in a generally happy home. In a sense, they could have been considered living in a dream house. His mother took care of them, and she did a great job at it. His father had a stable job, and they got by just fine. Sometimes he and his sister fought, but that's what siblings did. They quickly got over anything that angered them and went on with their lives. They had family time, and generally were happy. Sure, they had sad times. However for the most part it was an ideal home life. Not much bad things went on, until others decided to come into their life.
Rin's uncle on his father's side had lost his teaching job due to reasons he wasn't sharing with them. With losing his job, he also lost his wife who then kicked him out of their house. Rin's father had allowed him to move in with them, which turned out to be a bad decision. As far as everyone knew, he was only laid off due to a bad economy. In reality, he was let go because of child molestation charges. He didn't alert anyone of the shameful charge, and even got a job again at the school in their town.
His uncle offered to watch Rin one night while his parents were going out. His sister was at a friend's house, but Rin didn't have anywhere else to go. He brought him down to the basement, where he moved to after he was kicked out, and showed Rin his special kind of toys. He gave Rin a different kind of play time, which then continued to happen almost every night. The longer it went on, the more it happened. Rin wasn't sure how he felt about it, but it felt nice. He just didn't think it was supposed to happen and it felt wrong at the same time.
Rin discovered the only place he wasn't preyed on was in the bath. He let loose and set all his emotions free in there. Even when he was nothing but confused, he could be free to do so. Showing others his own emotions was a sign of sure weakness, and he never had any courage to talk about it. He could only sit in there and talk to himself, making everything seem like it was right.
A few months of that went on until his uncle decided it was best to do it only at night when everyone was sleeping and made sure Rin kept it a secret. Twice a week in the middle of the night, Rin would be woken up to experience what he did in the the basement, only this time it was a bit different. Instead of minor touching, the man made it hurt. It felt too different for his liking, too weird, but he still found small amounts of joy from the experience he had in the bed. His uncle had even taught him new things other than what the did before. Within no time he was being praised for how quickly he was able to learn, and even perfect a certain skill.
A year later, his uncle was accused again of a molestation charge. This time, the news was brought up of what he did to the young boys at his school. Rin's father couldn't believe what the accusers were saying. There weren't any immediate signs of him preying on young boys, except for the amount of time he spent with Rin. However, when Rin was asked if he was touched, he would only say no. He had promised not to say anything, and kept his promise until the very end.
Rin's mother was not convinced that nothing happened, but didn't express her concerns. As a woman, she wasn't supposed to have a mind of her own. She wasn't able to just accuse whoever she wanted of molesting children, and her husband had seemed pissed about the other people accusing his brother. She decided to keep her concerns to herself, and instead tried to teach Rin about romance. She taught him about what people in love were supposed to do, and it was sin if there wasn't any love involved. Begins to read cheesy romance novels.
The topic of 'love' piqued Rin's interest. He wanted to know all there was to know about it. He put all he had into reading all of the romance novels his mother brought home. He especially loved to read in the bath. It gave him a peaceful and serene setting to focus in. Rin was able to relax when ever he was in the water, and no one even thought to bother him while he was in the bath. It was like a vacation of sorts, only he wasn't sure what he was trying to escape from.
When his family went on a trip to the ocean he was in heaven, or as close to any heaven a nine year old could be in. The ocean was so beautiful, the setting was peaceful, and the sand on the beaches only enhanced the beauty. He stayed in the water until sunset, not wanting to leave it. It made him more relaxed than he had ever been. Once he was out, he watched the sunset. The books he read described a sunset on the beach as being romantic, and he could see why. The colors mixing in with each other as nightfall slowly arose was a beautiful site. He decided that anyone feeling bitter after seeing one would have to get a stern talking to.
Word got out about Rin's uncle preying on children. No one in that town wanted them around, and it was beginning to hinder the entire family. They moved after months of being shunned, unable to live like that anymore. They kept his uncle with them, because they had no proof he did anything to their children, but were very watchful over him. Rin never spoke out about what really went on, even when asked. Of course, the late night play sessions had to end, but Rin didn't like how distant and cold his uncle became towards him. It went from him being loving and caring, to him completely ignoring his existence. It hurt at first, however he stopped caring when he met the kid next door.
His parents thought it was about time for Rin to make friends with kids his age. When they were invited to dinner by the next door neighbors, it seemed like the perfect opportunity. They accepted the invitation and went to the welcoming dinner, but something didn't sit right with Rin. The other kid seemed like he'd be the depressed brooding type, so Rin wasn't very certain if they'd get along. With his charming, outgoing personality how would it seem if he was friends with someone so quiet?
Surprisingly Rin found he had actually had his love of water in common with Haruka. They likely had different reasons, but a common interest was always great. Even if they were almost polar opposites on the outside, common ground could build friendships. And from then on, a friendship was built. They began seeing each other every day. Friends with someone his age, and not some creepy pedophile was always a good thing in any parent's eyes. The fact that Rin could hardly last without Haruka was only a good sign of how close they were.
Years of the happiness went on, and they only got closer than ever. Rin easily made other friends, but Haruka was the only one who mattered to him. Years went by, and Rin soon began to notice feelings inside of him that were hard to identify. He ignored the feelings for awhile and continued on with his life. He did a lot of things any normal teenage boy would, and some things that only lonely housewives did. Rin still had a soft spot for almost anything romantic. He'd force his mother to buy him the latest cheesy read for him to indulge in, hoping to one day find someone he could have a cheesy relationship with and experience exactly what he reads in those books.
What Rin didn't notice was the feelings he had for Haruka. Each time he saw him, his heart fluttered. He had difficulty identifying his feelings at first. All the books he read on romance were about women and men, and not two men. With the society they were in, their relationship would hardly be allowed. Rin was having troubles assessing his feelings, but decided he could only enjoy his life once. He was fourteen should be there to enjoy the prime of his youth. Just waiting around wasn't going to cut it for him. It took all the courage he could possibly have in order to ask Haruka out, but he did it. It could have either gone two ways for him. The first way was Haruka rejecting him, and the second was accepting. There was no waiting, ifs, maybes, or anything of that sort. Luckily for Rin, Haruka was feeling the same for him.
As the years went on, he came to a realization that life wasn't the sunshiney place he had thought it was. His uncle had killed himself a short while after he and Haruka started dating. He never got the reason why, and knew he probably would never get it. He only knew that the other man had stopped caring for him long ago and treated him with little to no emotion. It was almost as if he had given up on feeling anything for the world any more. Rin couldn't say he was upset about his death, because after what had happened and what he did to all those children he kind of deserved to feel some sort of shame. He just hated watching someone slowly wasting away until they are an apathetic robot only going through the motions of life, until finally ending it all.
He couldn't let any of that rain on his parade, though. He was happy with Haruka, and they were perfect together. Or so Rin had thought. They were happy for the first three years. They were closer than ever before. Rin was finally able to use a few tricks he learned from his uncle on Haruka, which sent them both into such bliss. They were able to use Haruka's lack of parents being around to their advantage, allowing them to spend more time with each other. Rin always came up with some bullshit excuse, but lying to them never really bothered him.
His father had began to dig up dirt about his son, suspecting that their might be something more going on between Rin and Haruka. He had begun to spy on him when he went over next door, and found out well enough what went on. Rin's father decided he didn't want a homosexual as a son. He plotted something terrible against him that Rin was sure he'd never forget. One night, while Rin was sleeping after a day of fun with Haruka, his father put a pillow over his face and tried to smother him. Rin woke up as soon as he felt his oxygen cut off and began flailing around until he found his assailant. He then grabbed his father by the hair and punched him multiple times, then slammed him into the ground. Rin turned on some sort of light to see who it was, and felt so angered when he saw it was his father. All his trust in humans had gone down the drain in that one simple night.
Rin became a bit of a dick as he grew up, and he wasn't even ashamed of it. The more he met people, the more he realized they were all just shady idiots. He tried his best to be nice to everyone, but the more he did the more he realized they only treated you nicely to get things from you. Rin only wanted to treat Haruka with kindness and respect, because he was the only person that didn't hide things from him. It was almost too perfect for him for awhile, and he expected it to only get better for him.
For a while things were going too well. Then suddenly Haruka decided to distance himself from Rin. It did nothing but piss him off. He had no idea what was going on with him, but he wanted answers. He tried going to Haruka's house, but the other decided to not answer him. Rin became pissed more and more each time he was ignored. If he could only just talk to him, he could settle whatever the hell Haruka wanted and fix what was wrong.
When they were together, Haruka was completely apathetic towards him. Rin knew something was up. Being ignored was one thing, but no emotions towards him? That was different. He knew Haruka was either going to waste away, or was plotting something against him. Rin couldn't take not knowing much longer. He had called Haruka out to the beach one night, knowing he couldn't resist the beautiful water. They had to have a talk. He knew Haruka felt they needed the same thing when he grabbed him by the hand and took him to the water. It would be best for both of them to talk in there, allowing both of their minds to relax and be free.
But something didn't sit right with Rin. Haruka was too quiet. The man wasn't fading away, that was certain. He didn't look like a lifeless corpse walking through the motions of life. No, it was much different. Rin's senses came into play when they got in there. Every fiber of his being was telling him to kill Haruka before he killed him. He dunked the other man's head under the water, using all his strength to keep it under. The next thing he knew Haruka's hand pulled him down under by the throat, bringing him under as well. Water filled his lungs as the currents of the ocean tossed them around. He was beginning to feel his conscious mind fade, but he didn't want to let Haruka up. If he was going down, he was taking Haruka down with him. He lost all traces on consciousness, but at least he knew he brought the other man down with him.
Rin was sure he was in hell. When he woke he was in an area filled with deformed individuals that could only be described as demons. He was quickly challenged by one of these so called demons, but killed that thing. It was a tough struggle, but he wasn't going to die again so soon. Rin soon got challenged by another, but wasn't as lucky as the first time. He experienced a painful death, only to be reborn in hell. He sought out the individual that killed him, and brought more pain to it's body than it could ever know. He had fought through hell, just trying to survive but wasn't having any bit of luck.
When Haruka approached him, he was sure he had gone delusional. Though all the streams of demented individuals he came across, this one that he came across seemed less real than any others. He had run into Haruka in hell, which could only say that they were meant to be. In such a big place like that, what were the odds of them meeting again? And after such a short amount of time, seeing as Rin had only been dead for a few months. The bitter romantic he had locked away inside of him couldn't help but come out. He didn't even care that the other had killed him, because he killed Haruka as well. In a sick, strange sense they were really perfect for each other.
Haruka explained to him his reasoning for the distancing, and Rin was relieved in a sick way. He was happy he wasn't just paranoid. The other man really was trying to kill him, but not for anything he had done. They had gone back to being happy with each other, fighting alongside each other when dangers arose, and protecting one another. They were almost equal in strength, and they complimented each other well, so life wasn't as hard as it was when Rin was alone in hell. He was finally able to relax a bit.
The relaxing didn't last forever, though. Haruka began to distance himself after a few years, and Rin could only suspect he was plotting his demise. They fought again until at least one of them had killed the other, and occasionally their fights left both of them dead. The stronger they got, the deadlier, and more bloodier the fights were. They didn't care how many times they died, though. They revived and always met up again, acting as if they didn't just have a death match and hoping things would end up differently that time.
When the gates of hell opened, he was glad Haruka was just excited to go as he was, maybe even more. He couldn't wait to go for a swim, even if it meant he had the chance of Haruka going insane as soon as he touched the water. It felt too nice to be in it to let the chance up. Luckily they were on good terms at that time, and went to the world together. However, Rin could only prepare himself for whenever the next time Haruka decided to be insane.
RP SAMPLE:
No? fine... this is the sample... (I probably got it wrong, but it's how i remembered it!)
Squidward had had just enough of that day. No matter where he went, people just kept staring. Bad enough they had started to follow him where ever he went, like some sort of crazed fan club. He wished so much that Spongebob had never smashed him in the face with the door. Being beautiful wasn't as glorious as it had always seemed. He rushed to the Krusty Krab, avoiding the fans taking his picture, and locking them out of it when he got there. He was finally free!
Or so he thought. The people inside of it turned their faces to him, all shouting with glee. Men, women, children... there was no one who wasn't affected by his accidental beauty. He looked around the room in a panic for spongebob, spotting him in his usual post at the grill. Squidward ran to him as quickly as he could and begged him for his old face back "Spongebob! Please! You have to hit me with the door again! I don't want to be beautiful anymore!" He pleaded for Spongebob to comply, but the sponge simply refused. Hitting his friend with a door on purpose just wasn't part of his moral standings. Squidward got on his knees and begged Spongebob with all his might. Finally the Sponge complied, but he didn't like it.
Spongebob slammed the kitchen's entrance door onto Squidward's face with tears welling in his eyes, but it was no use. He did it a few times, but each time it made Squidward more and more handsome. He couldn't take it anymore. The fans all around were whistling and raging for his body, but he just wanted them to go away. He needed his space, and they weren't giving it to him! He would have given anything for his normal life back at that point.
Squidward stood up from his spot by the door, but was too fast in his movements. Apparently being slammed in the face by a door so many times will have negative affects on you. Squidward began to faint, twirling in such ways that only made his increased handsomeness more recognized. The fans around him cheered, but he just couldn't take it anymore. He had finally passed out from agony, and being hit in the face by a metal door multiple times. With how his luck always turned out to be, when he woke up he'd only be more handsome.
